...well...at the risk of sounding nerdy compared to everyone else(which isn't really an insult actually since i kno AM a nerd, but whatever, u guys dont kno me *muahahahhaha!*), i actually LiKe to read... :blush:

i found practically a NEST of mealworms in my cup-o-noodles except they were on the bottom so i didn't see it at first when i poured the boiling water! i am SO GLAD that i spotted several bloated worms floating on top before i ate it! it was really gross! :sick: then there was this time i got some wonton soup at this chinese restaurant and spotted sand, grit and nasty cooked ladybugs in it!

I look a lot like Lain (my avatar) but i'm not as creepy... i hope... *cough *cough :nervous: Anyway, even though i havent seen the complete series, i think i'd like to be Hitomi from Escaflowne 'cuz she has "powers" and is surrounded by hott guys and in the center of love triangles :blush:

1. i dunno if anybody knows this company but my sister and i had these "American Girl" dolls, my doll was from the revolutionary era and my sister's was from the victorian and they each had these huge wardrobes of historically correct, intricate and exact replicas of real clothing. we spent over $1000 on them! 2. i was absolutely obsessed... to the point where i kept my dolls wrapped in lace on a miniature wicker chair... and curled their hair with real curlers... (i feel like such a wierdo now, lol :sweat: ) 3. i still like them, but mostly just because of their sentimental value 4. um... i think that toys do encourage stereotypes. i remember when they used 2 have this barbie or something that whenever she squatted, a fetus would pop out!!!!

my parents are a little freaked about what they think is my "unhealthy obsession" over anime but i don't think they're freaked out enuff 2 stop me :p

i agree with WW2, the movie left out a lot of stuff and after reading the manga i understood it a lot better. i actually luv the way Akira is kind of scary and complex because u pick up more of the story every time u see it so maybe i luv it cuz i'm a freak :drool: anyway if u really want to understand it, i think u shud try the manga or watch the movie again, i'm sure u'll pick up more of the story that u may have missed the 1st time =)

my OB name is (obviously) taken from the main character (Lain, of course) from Serial Experiments Lain mostly because it sounds interesting and Lain is really freeky/wierd/scary like Rei from Evangelion. My real name means "pretty or beautiful" :blush: and my last name, which is chinese, can be interpreted to mean "golden mountain". cool huh?

i've always wanted to go to Juilliard :excited: and become a professional flutist but i don't think that's gonna happen cuz it's way too hard to get in!! :bawl:

lol good story. i'm an EXTREMELY heavy sleeper and once while i was napping, my sister started to tickle my face, holding my nose so i couldn't breathe and poking her finger up my nostrils for fun but i still didn't wake up completely and so apparently while sleepwalking, i got up and punched her in the nose and ran away to the computer room and fell asleep again, thinking it was a dream. For revenge, she quietly snuck in with a jar of vaseline and rubbed it all over the doornob to get out of the room and then while keeping it open, locked it, ran over and quickly smeared a huge glob of vaseline all over my hair then ran out and slammed the door behind her so i couldn't turn the knob without getting vaseline all over my hands... horrible isn't it? she's almost two years older than i am too!

i saw "Cyrano de Bergerac" with Girard Depardeau the other night and that was the LAST movie that made me cry 'cuz the ending was so sad- but the last anime movie was Grave of the Fireflies.

i like Halo, but i can only play for short periods of time- that game makes me reallly queasy...

i like the blend of american and anime styles so long as they have good storylines and can pull it off, like samurai jack. it gives american cartoons an interesting twist

i'm (was) in a marching band too playing the flute/piccolo during freshman year- dont worry too much about the piccolo, its not that much different from a flute except that u need more air =) hang in there! the best part about playing the piccolo is that u get 2 show off as much as u want 2 cuz its so high ^-^

i go to a high school that's considered elitist in NYC and surprisingly enough, i dont think we have much stereotyping there. we all (with no exceptions!) fall into the "nerdy" category with "slightly nerdy" and "verrry nerdy" subcategories- haha =P L.
