1. I love shonen-ai and yaoi manga. Gravitation is a given, since every fangirl has to have seen it. ^__^ I will say that I enjoyed the anime more than the manga, but that was mainly because of the music that went along with it. And besides, the manga didn't show off how adorable Ryuichi actually is. ^__~ Most of the stuff I read is one-shots...but a lot of them are really good. I can't really remember any of the names off the top of my head though. >__> One of my all time favorite shonen-ai mangas is Thief & Detective. It's about a detective named Hugo trying to catch the master theif, Dr. Martin. The entire story is really really cute once it starts going. Hugo's naivety is definetely one of the things that keeps the plot going. Among my more yaoi-ish favorites is Oujisama Game. It's incredibly sweet at times, but then it has the added bonus of yaoi thrown in there. ^__~ The art itself is really beautiful. It's a really nice read. Once I actually get some money, I plan on getting Legal Drug. I've heard from so many people how awesome it is, and I've actually read the first few chapters on line. I can't wait until I'm actually able to afford it. lol.
2. You have PSP9?!?!?!? *dances* I have PSP8, so it's finally nice to see somebody else around here that uses PSP instead of PS. I guess I can do some grand-sweeping critique of most all of your stuff before this set. I. Lurve. Everything. ^__^ The banners where the stock rises above the actual background are amazing. If you can ever catch me on AIM, I can teach you how to make it to where your background is clear. It's pretty easy. AIM: il never forget6 PSP9 should be about the same as 8. Just a few upgrades are all that is different. I really like those last ones that you did. They are all colorful, and small banners like that are so cute. ^__^ I really like the one you did for Rising Sun. The colors and the general picture they make are really nice. I also like the colors for Sean's. Wait....hahahahahha....that effect with the dots and such....*points at her own sig* It just hit me where I'd seen it before. ^__~ I actually really like the butterfly banner that you did. It's simple, but at the same time the randomness is really pretty. So wonderful.
3. Kittty: Your peice takes me back. It reminds me so much of the old-school rock and roll times filled with the Rolling Stones and all the other "clasic" rock bands. It just has that classic look to it. Makes me happy. ^__^ I really really like the headphones; they were a nice touch, and I'm not certain if it was intentional but you can kind of see these whisps of white that come out of the guitar in the background to surround the headphones. It looks really interesting. I think that the text for "music" could have been better. It just looks odd to me...maybe it's just the font. You also could have done something to make it pop out at us. The lyrics were a nice touch as well, although I might have moved them a bit to the right so that they just went right off over the side instead of ending abrubtly. The only other thing I could think of would be the fact that it's incredibly monotone. But then again, if it had a bunch of colors it would lose that old-school style that I love so much. *shrugs* Sean: Meh. The colors are there. That's a plus. I do agree with Boo on the excesive white and black. The white space is alot. I think that yours could have easily been fixed with something flashy in the bottom right corner where all the white is. If I had the choice, I would have taken a stock of a guitar player, then made it all one color, probably black, and stuck it in down there. It would have been a nice touch, something that may have caused it to win my vote. Or you could have even made the text for flamboyant ( >__> ), just anything so that it had a focal point or something that went "hey look at me." I will say that I really do like those black boxes that you have around the text in various places. The placement looks kind of random, and it makes a neat effect. You might could have changed the sizes of the two surrounding "05" so that it didn't look boxed in. Your peice looks good, but it just doesn't look finished. It's like you have the background to a really amazing peice...you just don't have that final touch on it yet. Satisfy my curiousity: what music is that? I swear I've seen it before, but I can't place it. ;__; So my vote goes to Kitty. Why on earth did I talk so much?! >__<
4. Maybe it's just that my computer monitor has really sharp colors...but all of those are like BAM: COLOR!!!!! O__O Blindingly bright when you aren't expecting it. >__> Running: It's a nice, simple abstract peice. I like it. I like the remake better than the original though. The only thing I can say that I really really really don't like is the anarchy symbol....but that's from my own personal vendetta against it. ^__^ Dogtown: I like the background. I don't really like the effect you put on the guy. It looks a little heavy for this peice. The fonts are awesome. They both work off of each other, and their placement is good too. Fly The Flag: I like this one a lot. Loose the anarchy sign...and you'd make me one happy girl. ^__~ Actually, this time my only real beef against the anarchy symbol is that it isn't the same shade of red as the rest of the red is. The symbol is almost pink, while the rest of it is bright red. It doesn't match. Bushido: *stunned* I love this. I really really love this, and not just because of Mugen. The edge effect is incredible when it is surrounded by that border. It just contrasts so well. And the splash of blue at the top makes me happy. ^__^ All of the look really good together. *dances around* So cool.
5. I want that website too. Those bloomers are really cute. I have wanted to make a tie-skirt for a really long time...but I'm far too lazy to get off my rear and find some ties. XD That first skirt is really neat looking. All of your stuff is so good! And just so you know....your room is cleaner than mine is. >__>
6. I took a shot at this too. It's pretty simple, but I like it. I made you an avi to go with it. Also, these are uploaded to my photobucket account, so if you use them, you are gonna have to upload them somewhere. Ima Vs. Sun

I guess I could give my take, even though voting is closed. ^__^ I guess I can start with Ima's...I really really like the background. It's abstract, but at the same time, it has this sort of flow to it. It's all in all pretty nice looking. The stock...I wouldn't have left it all blurry. >__> If I were you, I would have blurred it (just like it is), but then taken the exact samestock before the blur, then placed it on top of the blurry one. It would have added the motion blur, but still kept the crispness of the image that you need. The text just needs a little bit of something to make it bolder...just like you fixed it on your update. Sun......*scrunches up face* I don't like the background. >__> It just looks...not so pretty. It is realy chaotic and grungey....but it seems to be a bit overly so. The stock is gorgeous though. The extraction was clean, and the effects you added to it make it look really nice. I'm not exactly fond of that top text, but I can get over it. ^__~ I think, that if the thing had Ima's background (though different color and bigger) and Sun's stock....this would have kicked some serious tail....but it didn't. I really don't know who I would have given my vote to. ^__^ I like them both, but I dislike certain things about them that are equally important in my mind. Silly, indecisive me. >__
8. They all look gorgeous to me, especially that Naruto set up there. Midnight Passings: I agree with Retri about the cropping around the hair. Hair is always the toughest thing for me to crop in a picture. What you can do to fix this, is play off the remaining colors around the hair as a part of the background. With a dark blue or any other dark colored background, it would be really hard to tell that the cropping didn't work out with her hair. The background for this one is really light, which makes the darkness around the strands stand out A LOT. If I were you, I would use this same image, but make the background dark. The stock just kind of sticks out as it is. Make it flow into the background like your second one does. Also, with the font...I kind of like it. I wouldn't have made the second part blue though...it just doesn't fit in with the color scheme. But if you had a darker background (*nudge nudge*) the yellow glow around it would make it look amazing. Hybrid Moments: Not much to say really. It looks really really good. The entire thing just flows all together. I would change the color of the "hybrid" text to some dark teal color. The blue just pokes out. Same with the blue border. It doesn't fit. I disagree with Retri about the text placement. I think the placement of "hybrid moments" fits in rather well. The white around it adds a nice glow effect. I would also say to change the font to something more grungey. And I also disagree with him about the bright green helmet. If it was teal, you couldn't see it!!! Plus, it would look different from what the character actually looks like. Throw It Away!: Fun fun fun. I really really like this. Everything looks good to me. It's cute, and it's fun. ^__^ Simple as that. I hadn't meant for my comments to be that long. >__
9. *Sigh* It has been a while since I last posted here. I was hoping to get some comments on some art that I have been doing for the past few months. I don't really do banners all that much anymore. I just do random sized mess. ^__^ 1. I guess I'll start with this: "Imagination beats the hell outta me" I was just messing around with this, testing out my vector skillz and certain photo effects all at the same time. Not much to say though....only the second vector peice I've ever done. As it turns out, this is now the theme for my mO ^__~ 2. "Hugs And Kisses" The first vector peice I've ever done. I'm not exactly happy with the font, but I guess it will have to do. I was looking for a graffiti type font, but this was the best I could come up with. >__< Anyways...I'll explain like I did before...it's "hugs and kisses" because of the X's and O's....get it? ^__^ lame I know. 3. "Mizerable Unmei: A Gackt Fansite" On this one you'll have to click the thumb to see the full image. This is my design for a web site layout (duh). I was planning on doing a Gackt fansite, but the idea never really took off...so I was left with a simplistic design. The idea was just to play off how pretty the shots are of Gackt. It's incredibly simple, and that's how it looked best. C&C welcome and appreciated.
10. 1. Naruto- It's fun. It's enjoyable. I thnk it appeals to a large audience. Not only is it one of the longest running series I have ever seen, it is also an amazing blend of humor, drama, action, and emotional scenes. It's a good mix of the 4. The characters are easy to identify with so it is incredibly easy to get hooked until the very end. Let's not forget the fact that it deals with ninjas. This was the only anime that I have ever seriously cried in...I'm talking severe depression for like....3 days. -__- 2. Gravitation- Gotta get my shonen-ai in. Gravitation is probably my favorite show, but I think the fact that it is so short allows Naruto to pass it. The story is amazingly cute and sweet. The plot is easy to guess, but the delivery makes it seem as though you've never seen a show like this before. The music is unparalleled. It is so catchy and so fun. ***3. Shingetsutan Tsukihime- Sheer beauty. That's the best way I can describe Tsukihime. I'm not sure I have ever seen a plot like this before. In the beginning, you are perplexed to an extent many of us have never experienced before. Anime is supposed to be a fun, easy show to watch right? Wrong. Tsukihime keeps you on your toes until the very end. A plot twist here, a plot twist there, and what you thought was true turns out to be false. The music just adds so much more. The violins are heart-wrenchingly beautiful. 4. Bleach- I love this show. I haven't seen all of the episodes yet, but I still really like it. The jokes are all really funny, and the animations are very pretty. The story line is an interesting one too....awwwww who am I kidding? I love the show for the Orange Range theme song and Kon, the greatest character ever. ^__~ 5. R.O.D.- A really good show. I'm more partial to the OVAs than the actual show, but it is still pretty awesome. Until this show, I had never really imagined people having powers like the Paper sisters do. It's a fun anime all around. 6. Trigun- Simply because it has lasted so long. The story line was pretty original. I have always loved the connections between plants and humans they made in this show. It has depth, but at the same time it is really fun and exciting. 7. Gate Keepers/Gate Keepers 21- I included the OVA with this one simply because they are so close together that to get the full Gate Keepers experience you have to have seen Gate Keepers 21. It was a bit perplexing at times, but in the end it was worth it. I mean, where else can you trigger huge "gates" to open up and anihilate enemies? I loved it. 8. Samurai Champloo- Everybody has to love the Champloo. ^__^ It is so new age ninja that it just blows my mind. The plot isn't new...but the fabled "breakdance" fighting makes this one a must see. Wantabe seriously knew what he was doing with this one. 9. Full Metal Alchemist- I have always loved FMA. The use of alchemy in anime is something I'm not necessarily familiar with so I don't really know if the idea is original or not. But the entire show just fits together so well that it is hard not to love it. 10. I don't have a 10. >__> ****Just for clarity Shingetsutan Tsukihime goes by many names: Monn Princess Tsukihime, Tsukihime, Lunar Legend Tsukihime, and about 5 more. I think these are the most common ones. Just to help you out when you see more than one name for it. ^__^
11. I think that Naruto belongs on AS rather than Toonami. If it goes to Toonami, a lot of stuff is going to have to be taken out and reworked. Toonami has this thing about no blood (definately a problem because Naruto revolves around some fairly bloody fights) and no cursing (another problem for Naruto). I could see a lot of problems with it becomming a Toonami show. It stands a better chance with AS. I was excited with they aired R.O.D., but with s-CRY-ed comming....I think I might pee myself when it finally comes on air. >__> I'm glad AS is finally getting some new shows. Hoepfully more shows will mean better ratings which may translate into more anime for us. ^__^ Also....I can't wait to see what they do to Paranoia Agent. They are gonna have some trouble with that if they try to edit it too much. *dances about*

Frances The Mute

I love The Mars Volta. Always have. Always will. But it shames me to say that I really don't like Frances the Mute so much. I mean, it's a good CD, don't get me wrong, but like both of you said. It falls horribley short when compared to Deloused in the Comatorium. I like "The Window" a lot. It reminds me of their old stuff. But with Frances the Mute, it feels like they are trying to hard to achieve that erratic, chaotic sound they achieve on Deloused. It still sounds pretty good though. I, for one, am a lyrics person. I love singing along. But with Frances it agitates me for a few seconds that on over half the songs, it is mostly music. But then it hits me how good the music actually is. So, I'm obviously wishy-washy on whether I like it or not, but I'm sure everyone else is too. The thing that bugged me about the tracks was how they named them. I mean, most of them are named the same as another song, but with a little bit of variation. It's annoying.
13. I'm addicted to pictures. O__o I collect peoples icons, banners, layouts, and all that. At the same time I collect pictures (from magazines and stuff). Like right now....I have 2300 pictures of people on my computer, specificly I have 434 pictures of Gackt alone. As for other people's art work: 1280. I just love looking at all the really cool stuff people create. I'm also addicted to shoes. I just love them. I have probably 40 or 50 pairs. I find it ironic that I wear the same pair (my converse) every day. Sill me. ^__^
14. I got an mO almost two years ago because I happened to stumble upon a link to somebody else's. I didn't know what it was...I just kind of signed up for it. All I knew was that it was OB related. And here I am today! ^__^ I started out just writing posts that were a paragraph or so in length. And then I met people here...and I got hooked. The reason I stay at mO and not any other blogs is that the people I know at the boards also have mOs. So our friendship just carries over between the two sites. It's like through the use of mO I have become entrenched in this community and all of the people that are here. When I first started out, I really had no idea what I was supposed to talk about. I talked about my day and then that was it. But then my posts got longer because when I started having problems, I started writing about them in mO. The writing of all my problems was pretty theraputic...but then once people started responding to my problems and helping me get over them, I started coming to mO more and more. It's like expensive therapy...only free and with good friends. Now, I just kind of talk about whatever. ;P I'll talk about my day then some crazy issue then back to my life again. I just write what I feel like writing. Other sites (like xanga or lj) never really hold my interest because if a person doesn't have AIM, I never actually get to talk with them other than comments on their post. But on mO, I can talk to the people I meet through mO on OB. If that makes any sense at all. I think what I'm getting at is the community. Another thing I love about mO....thanks to it and the Art Forum, I got into graphic design, which is now what I want to major in when I go to college. I just saw all the layouts and styles that people used on their pages, and instantly began the need to create some of that for myself. And now, I love designing and stuff. So yeah, thanks to OB/mO I decided what I want to be when I "grow up." ^__~ If your interested you can find my site here. Send me a PM, take my AIM/MSN/YIM address, or email me; just drop me a note because I would love to start talking to you. ^__^ Oh yeah....please forgive my layout. I haven't been able to put one up in a while....I just keep forgetting ^__^"
15. If I'm not mistaken, when it says how many times your image has been downloaded, it means that is how many people clicked on the link. For instance: your number of downloads probably just went up by one because I clicked on that link. Downloading in this case isn't the type you think....it's just how many people actually opened up your attatchment. If I'm wrong, I'm sure Syk will set things straight. ^__~ Hope that clears things up.
