Back to the main point, J.R.R. Tolkien (brilliant man, I might add) took about 14 years to write Lord of the Rings. So, take your time.
I agree with you completely with that. It does take time for a story to form and time itself is your very companion in that story. Taking time is important. The only downside to such a think is if you have a dead line in a novel which can and more than likely happen.
-
Let this advice go from one writer to another. On a first note I agree bless that holy man, J.R.R. Tolkien for the trilogy. I love those novels so much I am walking that path myself. I know the hard labor. As Baron said. NEVER forse your talent. Let it flow when it wants to. It seems strange to say but trust me it works and helps a lot. I have been working on five different series in the last two years. One is 7 books in the making and the others more like short stories. Unfortunately the stupid thing that I did was write it by hand o.O that was very unintelligent because I have about 200 pages each book to retype and edit. My advice is to press on and do what you have on mind. Let the idea come to you and you'll make a great novel in no time.
All the $60 words in the word cannot make you any less wrong. You would blame all racism on white Europeans?! Thats not only senseless, but a good lawyer could construe it as racism. I have a few questions for you Burori: 1. Were the Black Panthers racist? 2. Were the Imperial Chinese racist? 3. Are you racist in attributing racism to whites and whites alone? For 3, I will submit that you are. THe answers to 1 and 2 are "yes". Racism is a notion of superiority by one group of people with certain characteristics over another. Although many whites are racist, many blacks, many Asians, many Hispanics, and the like are as well. Are you white? If you are go into Harlem and spend the night. Just one night. I'll bet you $100000 you'll wake up dead.
I don't think you looked at the post that I said that I realised that I posted the wrong definition of the word Racisim and even said to Tony that I made the mistake. To answer your 3 question I am not attributing it only towards 'whites'. You extremely misunderstood what I meant there and I apoligize if I confused you.

I am very happy to see all of your opinions on this matter. I am also happy to see that they all are mature. Actually ScirosDarkblade before I read your thoughts on it I forgot to mention there is this program called, Seeds of Peace. It is based on placing two teens from one culture with another who hates each other. They listen to each other and many times in the end realise they both share many things of the same together. Racisim is a terrible thing though. It has raged on for centuries. It is hard to truthfully to take it off the globe. But like Baron said it is dying slowly it seems. Hopfully it will leave and the human race can realise that everyone is the same. I also want to add if it is okay with everyone if I can show this in my class. To show the points (fine ones I must add) that Racisim may be going/or staying. I hope this isn't breaking any rules if another Moderator could place his/her thoughts in this. I would like to hear what others think of it and if it can be stopped. Thanks again everyone for mature thoughts.
-
May I add Wristcutter I was not trying to play any victim game. I was only wondering if Racisim could be stopped. I understand and know what you mean by what you meant. But may I add also that the reason why most black people hate white is due to many assaults towards them from centuries of being treated as dirt. In my own opinion I feel that racisim could be stopped if 'like you said' everyone would pull their head out of their 'bum' and realise the truth, We all are human. I suppose the right question to ask is, How did it all began? Like the question of what came first the chicken or the egg, Who started the idea of a entire perfect race?
-
Oh my. I am so sorry Tony. I did not see that hehe. What I meant by the Ying Yang thing was that there are just as much Racism as there is of it's counterpart. I know it seems hard to understand. I suppose I should think of a better example. So sorry for the confusion.
Principle I. Racism is an ideological, structural and historic stratification process by which the population of European descent, through its individual and institutional distress patterns, intentionally has been able to sustain, to its own best advantage, the dynamic mechanics of upward or downward mobility (of fluid status assignment) to the general disadvantage of the population designated as non-white (on a global scale), using skin color, gender, class, ethnicity or nonwestern nationality as the main indexical criteria used for enforcing differential resource allocation decisions that contribute to decisive changes in relative racial standing in ways most favoring the populations designated as 'white.' Principle II. The aim of this peculiar post-1492 stratification process has been to aggregate an upwardly mobile and putatively 'white' racial group that is stratified internally and that strives to validate its own ascendancy using a shifting range of 'white' cultural practices which are defined as 'white' not on any presumed biological basis, but on the basis of "ideological whiteness"--a field of racial discourse and representation. Principle III. The conceptual content of this historic and politically-charged discursive field is sustained by racial agents who in many ways articulate and justify the suppression of "ideological blackness" (and every form of non-whiteness this may entail) which may be accomplished by many formal and informal means of institutional domination, routinized interpersonal interactions, cultural imperialism, or by any other racialized means of information control. Principle IV. As a generative principle of racism, "ideological whiteness" refers to a dual behavioral process entailing enactments of identify formation and resource access legitimation, both of which were practices once overtly recognized as aspects of "white supremacy," but which now may be more subtly and covertly reproduced as an observable and routine set of implicitly prescriptive, but explicitly disavowed white supremacist beliefs and practices to which all who identify as 'white' (or who behave as 'whitened') are expected to adhere--especially white males--if they wish to maintain their own racial standing as members of these two privileged 'white' groups and assert their negotiable right to privileged resource access. Princple V. Collectively, the 'white' and/or 'whitened' members of this racially privileged global population tend to bolster their shared political intent to impose patterns of restricted resource access on racially subordinant populations, and aim to preserve their presumably non-negotiable right to prescribe, and even dictate, lessor resource access rights for certain upwardly mobile members of the 'non-white' population whose internalized racism, reliable complicity, and carefully scrutinized willingness to cooperate with racial dominates is always required and rewarded.
Now if there has been a topic about this I appoligize but I feel I may have a different thought on this then what there has been. This week my Economics/Social Studies class has been descussing on this topic and a question popped up from our teacher, Can Racism be stopped? For example: A Systemic Discrimination is almost impossible to stop because it is in the system itself. Racism is as common as a cut on a limb. It is shown and hurts. Sometimes it heals but then again it could get worse. It could grow to an infection or worse a disease. I am a bit offended by those who are racist. However I would never go up to someone and say that they should change their perspective and change their thoughts. But if I saw a white citizen attack a poor jewish/African American/or anyone else who seems different I would go up to them and...well I would lose it. Anyways I believe I went off topic. I believe you can never get rid of Racism. The reason why, It all goes to the chinese symbol and belief, Ying and Yang. Racism is there to balance an ancient equation. But there is a time when I feel it should never have exists. Unfortunately it does. What is your opinion or thought on this?
-
Pretty good there nate. It had a very good flow but a few sentences or two could be worked on. Overall I would say it shows you put some time into it so blah. I'd give it a 8/10 overall. Keep it up and you'll be a pro.

Ooookaayyyy. That explains the close
Lezbo scene in the T.V.Series
heh. I for one have watched the entire series on DVD and I will say just like Metatron that it is not as good as it could have been.
Arucard does come of and is imortal unfortunately. He does die for a split second then he feeds off of the dead to respawn back to life. It gets dull after a while. There is a HUGE epic battle with Arucard that Metatron could possibly enjoy but like I said earlier that Arucard never dies in.

Yah as for me I have played that game and I pocess the special Burori cards. My collection of Burori is almost done. I find thought that the CCG is not as good as Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh but it still has it's ups and downs. -

It seems I am the only one who notices these things lol. Well I was browsing through the internet and went to Konami's website and lo and behold, a new game. Now this game will shot and murder The sacred cards. I figured it would happen soon but not this soon. The game is issued to come out on feb. 10 THIS YEAR I look forward to it. -

I believe that they both go SSJ 4 before fusing. As for the pan and Bra question there is no reason why they don't some believe women are unable to go super saiyajin. I however will not shed light on that subject.

Man Hunt Okay I finish this game all in one day with a friend of mine and I decided to post my opinions on it. First of all this game is very much like hitman with only one difference, the enemy doesn't want to give you chances when thy say they'll kill you they mean it. One mess up will cost you the game and your life which I find very interesting in this game. The AI on this game is well done. The enemy listens in on your movements and when they find you hell breaks loose. The graphics on this game are very good. The looks of both the main character and the enemies are well discribed and I find the face expressions are very detailed. The gore in this game is off the charts I find. In all of the violent games I played I can't believe this game beats them all 10X over. There were three settings in the kills you can preform: Violent, messy, and Extreme. Spilling blood seemed to be the main obective in this game. The story line itself was terrible though. I will not say what the story to it is because I will leave you all to find out for yourself. The sound so so. The weapons: Well *laughs* the weapons were anything and everything in this game. You can have weapons from sharp glass to a beautiful double Barrel Shotgun ^_^ That I found to be a interesting thing. The only fault in this was you had to find and kill people to get them. But in the end *chuckles* was worth it. If anyone else played or heard about this game what were your thoughts on it?

That may be Korean but I saw the japanese version of the Burori movie and he calls goku Kakorotto. It comes out first Kakarot but then he starts to say Kakarotto. Just thought I'd get that out in the open. Thanks for your thoughts and descussion on the matter ^_^. If you have any problems with the movies or shows ask me and I'll help you out. But just to clarify I haven't got a good memory on DB so please don't lash out on me on that. Please. If anyone who does have a good memory on that saga please by all means help me out when something is asked in that saga. Alas the great Burori has his limits -_-.

Box Hoy:I think they shoul make a totally new Dragonball series in the future. It would have far descendents of the original cast. I've started a story on my P.C. at home kind of like this. It would have a whole new concept and all that. But yes. The dragonball series, althoguh good, is getting to repetitive and old. I think we all saw this in the Majin Buu saga of Z.
Do not take this in any bad way shape or form. *Shoots the new Db Series* It's a good idea for you to make your own type of DB but I speak for all the *still* devoted DB/DBZ/DBGT fans to say enough is enough.
Morpheus: Yeah, GT sucks. There will never be another DB because Akira said so. It was supposed to end at the frieza saga anyway.
I agree with your statment but I must say I was interested in the events after the Frieza Saga. After all if it stopped at the Frieza Saga I would not exist. I agree completely with Piro though. As a devoted fan of DBZ I will say NO MORE DB SERIES. Speaking of DB Series. What the hell is with the new theme song? I mean it goes from: Dragonballs you gotta find those dragonballs. To a song that is both non-catchy but extremely annoying. Damn Funi! Hey not only ruin the dubbing and violence but they also remove the classics. *Sigh* I hat Funi more than ever! Anyways. I feel like many others another DB series is both a bad idea and stupid as hell to try. Thank you for your time. *Blows up the Funi Building with a KI blast*

OOC: Please mods dont get mad at me. I would have responded in this thread sooner if it wern't for the news I got of my aunt. Hudrenda turned and thought to himself. He knew the others already knew that he was talking to Alexander but he didn't let them know anything that would have exposed his true intentions to them. He wasn't ready to show the intentions to them just yet. There was things to do. He began to get angry at the idea of Atlantis. It was the city of discrace. He hated both the people who once inhabited the place and the power that was born there. He was also getting enraged with Alexander's plan to use that power but he wasn't going to ruin his plans because of his hatred towards the humans. He turned back to Alexander and forced a evil-type smile at him. He opened his mind to the others telling him where he was about to go, he then spke for both the others and Alexander to hear. "I shall get the power you seek."

Thank you for filling in that question and clearing that out. As I mentioned earlier I am human so I myself say I do not know EVERYTHING but I do know a lot. (Note: I am not sure if this is allowed or not so if it isn't I don't mind it being closed or deleted. Also I mean no disrespect towards anyone.) Ladies and Gentleman. Children of all ages. Listen to me and listen to me carefully. Are you truthfully safe on christmas eve night? Soft and sound in your beds. Not a care in the world. Then you'll hear a clatter then you'll think what's the matter. You know it's jolly old Saint Nick. But the question you have to ask yourself is, Is he truly a Saint? I resently listened to the famous song Santa Claus is coming to town. The lyrics if heard by a child are okay to hear but then when you begin to grow up you notice one big thing, SANTA IS A STALKER! Yes I believe this because of one specific phrase: "He knows when you are sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He knows when you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake." What are your thoughts on this matter?
