1. I'm surprised I didn't see this title being mentioned about. I've seen a few video's and I must say that this looks to be the best of the series they have made. Not to mention that it is made right here in quebec I must say that this game might make me buy a xbox 360 along with other titles. But ya anyone interested in looking into the screenshots of the game or any video's the link is below. What are your thoughts on this game? So far I find the graphics to be quite sharp. 2. (Swedish Chef intro) Yorn desh born, der ritt de gitt der gue, Orn desh, dee born desh, de umn bork! bork! bork! Yern da bork er (cough cough) As you may have guessed it I chose this name to salute my favorite muppet, Swedish Chef :P He was originally a masterpiece created by the dynamic duo (not batman and robin) Jim Henson and Frank Oz. Jim controlled the chef's head and did the voice while Frank opperated the arms trying to throw Jim off his lines by doing random stuff, which I must say was halarious.
3. Well I think most of you know now that I am getting payed for testing games not out yet, on the side I get paid for all my services for appearing and cooking on the muppet show, sesame street, and the muppets tonight. *scratch that last part*
4.
Then what's the point in answering at all, really? ^^ Congratulations on your new job Chef. I'm glad it's in the field you're interested in. Though, I thought I heard somewhere that Game Testers usually start out as people who answered the hotline phones for hints and tips. 8) Though, somehow I got the idea that you cooked for a living. *cough* Swedish Chef *cough* I've been working as a server in a restaurant for almost a year now. It's difficult, but it has changed me for the better. There really is a lot you can only learn by experience. The biggest lesson, customer relations, was the hardest thing to learn. I can smile as I deal with people now, no matter how difficult a particular individual can be. Though, the face you put on for the customers is often the same face you put on for your fellow employees. Somtimes they're just difficult to work with. :animesigh And although it isn't the biggest, what I believe to be the most important lesson is endurance. I've learned to work longer, and harder shifts that can span all day. Often my day can consist of waking up, going to work, then going home to sleep. Although this pattern may be a little depressing at times, endurance is definately something I want to have in the future. The only thing I really got from my previous job, other than learning to mop/sweep properly, was how to open a box without using a sharp object. 8) -r2
Heh you'd think that but the only reason why I changed my username from Burori to Swedish Chef was because my favorite muppet is swedish chef. Update: This job is sooo fun. I am doing atm overtime (my decission) so I'm doing 12 hours a day on the first, second, and third day of my starting job. It's great. the only downside is that the game I am testing has bugs up the ying yang. However NO I am not telling you more then that :) I am sworn to secrecy.
5.
Actually they weren't trapped or helpless. The doors to the Cafeteria were all open, it was just a matter of getting to them. Anyway... I live about 5 hours away from Montreal and it really troubled me when I heard that someone would do this. Did he even attend the school? Blase, I realize what your trying to say about the School Security, but what can you do? I know with my school we have some police officers regularly check up on us from day to day, and we have specific "safe" locations for a Code Red (someone has a weapon and is in the school) all over the school.
Not sure if anyone has said this yet but to the best of my knowledge he was not a student at the school. I know a few friends who went to Dawson. One of them was a female and she was one of the many who were shot. Actually the first one. She's okay though only took a shot to the right forearm and the right flank above the hip. She recovered and was discharged from the hospital but to make matters worse her mom saw it happen as she was dropping her off. My ex was in the building at the time but she was in the classroom where they blocked the doors with the desks and hid from the lunitic. My only wish is that he felt a lot of pain before dying.
6. It just so happens I decided to lose my horrid work profession as a toliet cleaning, classroom sweeping Janitor and sent out my CV to a company whereas the job posting is one of the few that I have a strong passion with. Sure enough the next morning I get a call. I get the interview and then afterwards I get the job on the same day as the interview. Now here is the whole reason for this posting. I am now starting Monday a Functionality Game tester. A possition that I always wanted in life. Something I hold great passion and determination to. What is a game tester? Do I get to play games and chill out? The answer is no. I have a responsibility to make sure no bugs, Large or small, stay in the game I am assigned to so that you the gamer don't have to freak out when your character's head emplodes for some odd reason. I am also assigned to 'review' the game as I see fit. Another job I always wanted to do, state what I want to say on some games. Not the simple: This game sucks, but a more in depth reason as to why I did not like this game. To put these words in smaller and simple terms. I am very excited about this job. I always wanted a mental work load then a physical. I finally have this break to use my mind and not my muscles, something that I needed so BAD to get my creativity brewing again cause heavens knows that working constintly as a Janitor left my writing skills behind. Have any of you ever got a job where you felt it would change you for the better and if so Please explain this job and why or how it affected you.
7.
Well, like Bláse said, the movie just might have a better shot in narrative terms than a Hollywood blockbuster would, because the directors and screen players will have more insight into the Zelda series than those of greedy movie producers who are looking to milk the series' name. So, essentially, and hopefully, it will run by the basis that "it's for fans, by fans".
Perhaps. But to be brutely honest now, I will go see this movie. If it ends up good great I have another movie to add to my collection. If not? I'll just go there and laugh my butt off on how bad they ruined the whole thing. Actually the second part was my idea for the Dragon ball Z live action movie. Oh well can't judge a book by it's cover until it is actually made and shown I suppose.
8. I was worried no one actually made a post on this game but then I thought I'll dust off the ol' search engine and give it a whirl and sure enough here it is. What I am now surprised is that the game has been out now for a few weeks or so or more Oo and no one has said anything about it. Well you know what? get those frying pans ready because the chef is going to bake a cake of whoop a** (Not really) First off. I enjoyed the game, had trouble with the camera angles and not to mention the targetting a bit. Vincent's story was very interesting, I loved the reference to his limit, Chaos.
Born of terra currupt. Behold Chaos, Omega's squire to the lofty heavens.
With that said I found the story very refreshing and explaining Vincent's attitude. I mean this guy has gone through alot. It was great to have cloud and the others make guest appearances and not to mention finally hear Barret speak that voodoo that he do so well (Yes I know that isnt the right way to say it) Vincent was a bad a** and I loved it. Ill post a more detailed thought of the game later since I am in class and it is going to be ending soon.
9. Let me be honest here. I enjoy Zelda. I Love almost all the games but now a live action movie? No. A cartoon? sure. Just like the ones they played on the super mario bros. super show. Blast from the past? Well EXCUSSSSE me princess. :) Cartoon? sure I've stubbled upon a few comics and though not caring for the actual artwork it had some very funny dialog. But let's be frank. Live action movie of Zelda sounds just as good as that Live action Movie of Dragonball Z, which it isnt.
10. You can't boycott him either. If you do the game will never end. In my opinion Sephiroth in KHII is harder then KH I and FFVII put together. Both were extreme pushovers and well... KH II was a little harder but in the end he tasted the end of my Keyblade. It's all good :P
11. I mean no disrespect but I never read anything so bad as a fan fic thing like that ever in my life... But yes I look forward to KH3. I have beaten Sephiroth many times now pwning him like he was my little toy even on Proud and at level 40 now. (yes I found ways of doing that :P) Here is a good question as well. Out of the entire game what would be your favorite world so far? Mine are two. The Tron world, and Steamboat wily world. I loved Tron. Such a wonderful movie and I liked how they did tron however it could have been better but meh can't always be perfect. Steamboat willy was really well thought out. How it all looked and felt Old school. Some can disagree with this but I loved how the sound was as if it was worn over the years of playing through a projector just... gave me tingles.
12.
Other interesting concepts, such as being a lawyer in Phoenix Wright and performing surgery in Trauma Center are equally appealing.
OBJECTION!!! As for me there are only two elements that really hook me into a videogame. Game play and Music. The reasons why I am morally hooked on final fantasy is because of the two principles in my honest opinion. Let's start with gameplay. Let's say you find a game that has awesome graphics, music, and story but lacks terribly in gameplay. It really depends on the person if the game is perfect or not but to me if it lacks gameplay it lacks that spot on my shelf. Like take Jaws Unleashed for example. Amazing game really it is. I loved the music and to play as jaws himself but I found myself fighting with the camera so many times I myself wanted to the tv. Second the music. I love the FF series mainly for the music overall and the man responcible for it is none other then the Legendary Nobuo Uematsu whom I am sad to learn is not doing FF 13 however from what I heard is making up for it with Super Smash Bros Brawl which is the only reason why I'd buy that game that and because I enjoy those series.
13. All I will say of this movie atm (I will but a more detailed opinion on it tomorrow because it is like 3 am here) First off... I enjoyed the movie but not really to the extent of the first one. Second one I agree Maniac that the whole revolving around Wolverine was annoying. Not to mention it seemed that the Last stand also revolved again mostly around Wolverine. I was pissed off to say the least that they gave Collossus such a small role. He said one line... ONE ***** LINE! If anyone say the short clip after the credits you all know what I mean by... That son of a b.... Again I will clean this up and make a decent Post just let me have a good night's sleep and I'll get to it. Watch your language, Chef. This is your first and last warning. -Shy
14. Wow again? heh alright time to use something a little different. Here is a screen shot from Neverwinter Nights on a server I play. My character is Nawiewen Gel'fer for the record. COMMENSE!:
15. *man with tourch* OH MY GOD! what is that smell! (checks self) Oh....
16. Since the postings have died down I suppose an annoucement of the winner is in order. I must say not many here really tickled my funny bone sorry to say. I have things going on at home so I think that is what killed my humor factor. Notherless here is the results. At third place is:
"The Halo That Never Was..." Notice that the guy looks nearly identical to Master Chief and the Aliens are holding Covenant Swords...
Just plain an simple it does look like a halo game not yet in the making. However I am not sure but this might be Halo 3 lol Second place goes to:
Alien: I may be about to die but atleast I saved $125 from switching to Geico.
although you said this was a terrible attempt I found it amusing because I could hear the geico commercial pop up after this scene. Gieco, could save you 15 or more on car insurrance. And now drum roll. First place goes to:
"The special guests on this weeks episode of "This Spartan Life" didn't realise the danger of lighting up in a strictly non-smoking zone.[/B']"
Whoever thought the Covenent were against second hand smoking? lol congrates Gavin and good try everyone.
17. Sorry for teh lateness been watching E3 and so forth. But over all I present to you my little friend:
18. My bad at least it will be more entertaining then the 360 controller. Poor guy is being left out of all the fun that the Nintendo Wii and the PS3 cotroller can do. :stfu: (no reason why I added that smilie other then the fact that I just noticed a new viriaty. Heh man I was gone away for a long time)
19. Unless of course they come to your house creating a new religion, The Gate witnesses. (Not to shun any religion mind you. Good for you to worship what you believe in) As for me I look forward to the Playstation 3. God of War 2, Kill Zone 2, FF series that come in the future. Mind you I might concider to buy the 360 also what with Halo 3 coming out but only time will tell. In the meantime my pay check will all go into the PS3 as will most of my hours in life to play it's champions (hopefully) On a side note When they do make Kingdom Hearts 3 on the PS3 I will look forward to that as well. But i have a feeling that is either way to far in the future or just not going to be *highly doubtful on the second part* What I liked about the feature in the Controller of the PS3 is the abillity to use it without the sticks or arrow buttons. from what I saw you can use them like it was the Wii controller unless of course I am mistaken. NOVEMBER HERE I COME!
20. I can only imagine the amount of the people whom play this game and get angry and throw their Wii controlers at the tv if they can't pull off the move. As for me? I am so Wiiing it when it comes out. Screw the damn old controller. (I HAVE THE POWER!!!!) *cough* sorry about that... I'll go shoot that damn loud neighbor.
21. It has to be popular since someone recently broke into my families cottage and stole the console with all our games. I enjoyed the 64 very much. But I still like retro games like Pong and specially the Nintendo games. But then again I suppose I am just old school.

E3 06

For those who have not seen the trailer for Halo 3 I found a link for your viewing pleasure. If the Mods feel this to violate any rules then please do so by deleting this post. If not click below. I am your shield. I am your sword. As for me I watched the E3 beginning and I must say. I have this urge to buy a 360 and I still look forward to owning a PS3. I only wish I was rich cause then I would buy all three consoles. My only wish is to see a preview of Neverwinter Nights 2 in the upcoming episodes :)
23. Guy in box: Crikey. Here we see tha two henchmen. Watch their mejestic moves. Tha slightest noise can startle them. Now watch me pull out my semi automatic and shoot at em jus fer kicks!
