Jake lie in darkness, he was still unconscious. He suspected it was from a combination of his wounds, his lack of food and water, and exhaustion that he was there. "What's your name?" "Who are you?? "What's wrong?" "Wake up!" Voices swirled in his head, as if a dream, but in reality it was all that could get through his wall of sleep. ?Is he all right Doctor?? ?Open his mouth wide.? ?Oo?what a gash!? Jake opened his eyes, the light made him squint. He was still a little dizzy. "Where am I?" Jake whispered, hoping someone was there. "My house, and for a man who's been unconscious for the last 24 hours, you sure eat a lot!" The man looked down at him, carrying away 4 empty plates. "Wh-what?" Jake winced as he sat up. "Oo! Be careful! Your ribs aren't completely healed." He put the dishes in a makeshift sink. To be honest it looked like the whole house was makeshift; but then again, judging by the man's weapons, he probably wasn't home all that often. "I had a Doctor take a look at you." Jake snapped back to reality, and then thanked him courteously. "Where are my weapons?" Jake looked around. "Right here." The man pulled them out from under his bed. "Thanks..." Jake then realized he knew nothing about this man. "Who are you?" Then he realized his impolite approach, "I mean, what's your name? Why all the weapons? Are you a demon hunter, too." He hoped he was, because he'd need an ally!

Cowboy Beebop is the first and best anime I've ever seen! I love the music, the action, the plot... in my humble opinion, it's the perfect series! I am currently working on buying the entire DVD set (two DVDs at a time, cus I'm dirt poor) and I don't feel like I'm waisting money! (My mother on the other hand...)

Well actually here and there I do, I am normally quite outgoing, but then I get into large groups and I just, for no reason, feel like I no longer belong. Well after that happens I just shut up and exclude myself from the group. This causes problems because then the other people think I'm pouting or am just in a bad mood. I'm really trying to get over that, but it just happens...I don't know. (I think this is sort of what you're talking about, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to cause the topic to go off subject and close!)

Then he drew his Demon blade that he had stolen, [I]what a beautiful blade![/I] He grinned, [I]Now I'll stand a chance against those monsters.[/I] Jake now thought about what he had done, was it really stealing? Considering the price he paid, his three great comrads, was this really stealing? If anything the demons came out ahead... Jake continued to walk through the plains, looking over his shoulder here and there to make sure no demons followed him. He moaned and stumbled toward the great eastern city. "There-there it is!" Jake mumbled. "I've never seen dirt streets and run-down buildings so beautiful in my life!" Jake's stumble truned to a run. "Home!" He gasped as he step through the gate into the city. He smiled, and fainted face first into the dirt street.

I'm still trying to get over that Hentai comment... *hystarically laughing*

Umm... Well I tried to be at one point! I tried to be an anime fan just because I saw a few cool things here and there. I actually stumbled across this site cus I thought it was some Gundam thing...heh... Well, I'm not really an anime freak, just a "certain anime" freak (err...something). Cowboy Beebop, Trigun, Gundam, DBZ, and a little Zoids are all I really know anything about (and even there, not much)! Um...so basically, my answer's no.

Ok, this is partially for the sake of conversation and my own amusement, but also for a friend of mine. You see her mother recently got angry about here for visiting the Otaku Boards too often (she really doesn't...for sake of keeping down confusion, she comes on about once a day for about an hour). She said she is wasting her time, is becoming a nerd, and no one will like her (which in itself confuses me, but that's not what this thread is all about). Bottom line is, I want to know what ways you guys can come up with on what life skills otaku is giving you. This could be fun coming up with, and it may help me keep another member on the site, I have a few ideas myself? (also explain with examples if possible) 1) Grammar skills are a must in order to make logical and interesting posts. This helps students especially, and anyone could use grammar skills in life. 2) Creativity is important as well. I try to use mine in the battle and adventure arenas, but poetry and art helps build it as well, I'm sure. Now creativity can be used in about any job/school, because you always need people to come up with new ideas in the world. 3) Developing People Skills - You learn/try to constructively criticize people (poetry, banners, other art, etc) in order to make them better at whatever they're doing. You can't go around bashing people or you either end up banned or with a locked thread. 4) You also make friends through threads (such as this) or private messaging (which, as stated above, is one problem her mother has with this site, that she won't make any friends). That's all I have, what can you come up with? This should take some thought, so don't sporadically say, "It helped me make friends" and then just leave. So help out a fellow OBer, post away!

Name: Jake Davis Age: 25 Gender: Male Description: Tall and bulky, he has shaggy hair with jagged ends (he has to cut his own hair...sort of). He wears a necklace with igneous rock shards hanging off of it, he wears no shirt, and his jeans are shredded. Bio: His necklace has igneous shards that he took every time he traveled to the crack on city raids (he and some friends of his would raid a destroyed city for building materials, weapons, etc). The last trip he made with his partners, they were caught! They were all tortured and one-by-one were killed...brutally. Luckily, Jake escaped...and took with him a sword that he stole from a demon...and the largest piece of rock he owns, which he places right in front. Weapon: A demon long sword on his back, two short swords on his belt, a Luger 9mm that he found in his first raid, he keeps it in a strap across his chest.

Our GM gets mean here and there, but only when we deserve it! He does sometimes just because it would make things dramatic and more fun, but not so often that it gets old. Well, sometimes we do stupid things, like my friend started acting like a drunken monkey, so he was pelted with arrows...but ya, stupidity is rewarded by a quick (near...if we're lucky) death

Our GM is pretty cool. I actually I think I'm more obsessive then he is! I don't have many stories, more funny stuff happens amoung the acutal players. One guy who we pick on constantly ended up with a vitality of 2... Then our "leader," (the best lier we got, so he can think on his feet!) cockin off to some Demons, it was pretty awesome. Oh yea, and while our GM was talking to someone else, another member of our group almost successfully started the GM's house on fire...with a candle! I swear the flame was almost touching the ceiling! (Our GM was laughing as hard/harder then we were!) Oh yea good times, but as you can probebly understand...I NEVER voluteer to have it at my house!

I'm with sword saint! First role playing I went to, I just sat there the whole time and smiled...for I had no idea what was going on! But I paid a lot of attention, so by the third session I pretty much had it down. Skip to today and I'm about 3 weeks away from Game Mastering my own campaign, amazing what a half a year can do!

I'm not that good!" Nicolas grinned. "I can only read their minds when they're completely relaxed. Pretty much if they let me...or if they're asleep. When they're asleep I only get as much as I need! I don't like to pry..." "Ok...so?" "I can't seem to find her, and...and...You see I had this dream, and there was this girl, and she...I don't know." Nicolas stammered, not finding the words to say, then settling for "Just trust me, I've got to help her!" "Ok." Lilix tried to figure out the situation by Nicolas's vague description. Then responded "So...Now what? Where do we start." Nicolas scanned the horizon. "Good question..."

Wow....I love the first one! Seriously! The other two are cool, as well, but I REALY love the first one! What kind of song is it? Rock...what? I think it looks awesome and I can almost hear someone singing it...but it's probly not the same way you hear it. But yea, it's got a lot of passion to it and stuff...are you in a band? Well yea! [/B][/SIZE] [/B][/QUOTE] "GURPS" - Generic Universal Role-Playing System It can be used for any scenerio, so you can have guns, swords, martial arts and they're more logical and stuff then LOTR (which is actually based on the D&D system) and Dungeons and Dragons (etc) Don't be discouraged if you're confused at first too, especially if you get the book, we got 8 ppl in our role play group and we're still trying to find everything! It's really cool and this thing called Gurps Lite is an easy way to get started without buying a book, but ya, I got a book and it's got 10x more stuff in it! I role play about once a week we're in the middle of a Lord of the Rings campaign right now and are reaching the climax I, my friends, am a role playing fanatic... I bought a book, I write journals, and I'm about to start GMing (Game Mastering) my own Lord of the Rings campaign because our current Game Master(pretty much the God of our RPing world) is running out of creative inspiration. I sit during class just thinking of ideas for when I take over game mastering, and am currently shaking with nervousness because I'm afraid they're gonna hate my campaign!
