I'd have to say my grandparents and my parents and my bestest best friend and whatever boy I'm crushing on at the time. I feel I have to please them or else I'm letting them down (not the boy or my friend). As for my friend, it's hard to put into words. And the boy just makes me act funny sometimes, I'm sure many of you know how that works...

Am I one of them 4 real friends? You were cute you were a kid weren't you? Maybe people at school think you're a loser...

Well, my school just sucks then cause boys can't do cheerleading, volleyball, color guard, or pom squad. The girls can't do hockey either but neither can the boys cause we don't have an ice arena. My school sucks...

I've noticed that most of the "masculine" sports girls can play, but guys can't always do some of the "feminine" sports. Examples: girls can play: hockey, football (real football, not just powderpuff), and wrestling... those are all that come to mind anyway... boys can't do: volleyball, pom squad, or color guard (I don't know if they'd want to do the last two, but think schools should have equal opportunites)

I wonder if people will ever learn that both men and women are equal (or should be). There is still a lot of unequal things going on in the world, but for the most part we're all pretty much equal...I hope.

I'm sure this is probably a dumb thread, but I'm bored and well I gotta ask... I've noticed in many peoples sigs here at the OB that they are married to some other member. I just wondering if any of you who are married have actually met. When did you guys decide you wanted to get married? I was also wondering who are some of your favorite married couples...even though I've never talked to either of them I think that Syk3 and Mei are adorable together. They just seem to burst with love for each other.

I've seen it. Hasn't it been on for a while now? Anyway, it's alright. I only watch it cause it's anime and I'll give any anime a try. But, I hate wrestling, and the show isnt' really that great either, maybe it's just a little to kiddish for me, but I wouldn't call it the worst anime.

My friends listen to them. I've heard some of their songs, but the only one I remember is the one about Nancy Drew. I think they're really cool... but the idea of christian punk just seems really odd to me. My friends call them christian punk anyway.

I watch it every once in a while. I'm not usually not a fan of old animation, but the show really grew on me. Fujiko is my role model.

I was really bored and hadn't seen any anime for a long time so when I got the net in my room I put a search on in yahoo for the "best anime site" I had recently learned that otaku meant hardcore anime fan so I checked out theOtaku.com, and here I am now...

One thing I've learned, Good things happen to those who wait. Why don't you just have fun and not worry about relationships? Love will find you eventually. (I know that sounds cheezy but it's true. I know from experience, and I waited six years.) -
Wow... no offense to anyone at all, but this is an incredibly depressing thread. It makes me want to cry just reading it...

Where do you go to type in names? I still don't know how use this new stuff. The only way I've been able to get to peoples sites it the link in the sig. There is some other way isn't there?

I have two more days of band camp to go!!! Then I get three days off and then school starts... I'm so sick of camp. This one stupid freshmen keeps telling me what to do. She needs to worry about herself before me. Some of you maybe thinking "You probably suck at marching ReTarr" well I don't ok, I'm like the best marcher in my section. (I'm not just being obnoxious) A word of advice to the freshmen or rookies of marching band: Don't tell the upper classmen what to do!! It makes them really really mad.

I have tons of friends in the "real world" (it's not really the real world, I dont' know what else to call it), but here at the OB I only have one friend and I only started talking to him like two days ago. I'm not very good at making friends online.

My I'm really sorry... A few years ago my 16 year old cousin died. He was in a car wreck running a pointless errend for his sister. Some guy came outta no where and hit him in the drivers side. My mom came in my room the next morning and told me the news. I guess I was still half asleep when she told me cause after that I went back to sleep. When I got up I thought it was a dream until I went and asked her. Another girl on my soccer team died in a speeding accident last year. It's really hard to believe they're gone...

Sounds like you're easily changed Taylor.

I feel the exact same way. It hit me when I was eleven, I felt like it was no big deal at all. But then years later it hit me, "You're a teenager." And I remember being little and wishing I was a teenager but now I realize I'm no different from when I was a kid. I hardly even care about birthday, I don't even tell any of my friends anymore.
-
So Taylor, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you say something like you only have one or two friends in real life? Well if you're sticking up for your nerdy best friend (which is wonderful!) How can you be popular and only have one or two friends? I would have used quotes but I'm incredibly lazy.

I did lots of weird things when I was I little I do even more now probably. So, when I was little I used to run around with imaginary friend all the time, and not talk to anyone else. This might not be weird to other people, but it is to me espcially since I can't remember having an imaginary friend.

Anime Is Anime a Big Thing Where You Live?
Moor_Child replied to Moor_Child's topic in Otaku Central
I don't know. Maybe because anime has an actual plot and storyline it's too much for them to handle. Spongebob is much easier to just take in and doesnt' really involve a brain. Of course no offense is intended! I'm not really one to talk since I'm obsessed with the Power Puff Girls. -
I actually like getting sick. Yes I know I'm weird, but I don't get really sick, just a cold usually. I get to stay home and being sick makes me really really sleepy and I love sleeping, so being sick I get to sleep for like sixteen hours straight.

Has anyone watched an anime that disturbed them? I've seen quite a few. Most of them were when I was little though. Examples: (When I was little) Aeon Flux, X the movie, shadow skill (Recently) The Animatrix Don't get me wrong though, I still loved the Animatrix, and shadow skill both. They just messed with my head more than I liked.
