Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
RicoTranzrig replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
Let it not be the sun, but the moon that give strength to this little girl. Resident to an unknown land, she always wonders about her origins. At night, she looks up at the stars and points. Each one appearing brighter to her than the last. Her hand traces a pattern in the heavens above leading towards the milky white light. She smiles and laughs. She is merely a child of the night sky She lives without fear of the dark Because she is watched over dilligently by the lights above. Wise beyond her years, yet strong enough to protect her innocence. Stubborn as fixed stone. Let no harm come to her, Let her way be shown. -
*spoiler* Well, if you chose the wand and dumped the sword in the beginning, Lion Heart should be the second best to Ultima Weapon...the alternative second best is Oblivion, found in the chamber of the princesses. And...to get Ultima weapon, you have to go to the Moogles and synthesize everything on that list...and then Ultima Weapon should be ready for the moggles to synthesize...(little dangerous creatures...aren't they?). Finally, a good place to level up is in the collusieum...even though you don't get money for it, there are baddies there that give away tons of exp points.

Yeah, the increased battle leveles really frustrated me for a while, until I revisited Hollow Bastion and realized Oblivion was right there in the last room somewhere...then it was smooth sailing. I got through Hades cup and got the last of Ansem's report. Still a few more things to do before I can beat it...

I haven't played for a while b/c of school and stuff. I'm in the place where you fight the Riku/Ansem boss in Hollow Bastion. Must see the ending soon. Arc Arcanium is very useful against hard bosses.

It's just a nifty feature...like with windows explorer there's that "+" and "-" symbol that collapses and expands your folders so you don't see everything inside.

I've played the X-box version of the game at my nearby VG store, but I think it's all the same for the three consoles. The graphics are really tuned up from the original and the cutscenes are funny...I'll go rent the PS2 version first to see how the later parts are.
-
I think the guy inside monstor gives you Gummi blueprints...it's based on how many heartless you kill, except the Chocobo blueprint, where you go inside, talk to Gepetto, and go out...for oh, about 30 times or until you get it.

My friend has watched the Japanese movie a while back...he said it freaked him out for a few days but we both think that the U.S. version might be better. But I'll give it a chance...the presentation looks creepy.

Bah...that's a shame... I admit the abstract images and ideas are very disturbing in a way...but there are worse games. Hopefully you can find it in the used section or online?
-
I have both games and I love them...I prefer the first once since the second isn't really anything really innovative except some new concepts that are in the mechanics of Silent Hill (storywise) and the graphics. I think you'll enjoy the second one because it carrys on more realism under the PS2 or X-box.

Writing A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.

Guess I could give it a shot...:) Darkness was overshadowing the light. People in the mortal realm were falling to sin. War ravaged the land, people neglected the beauty of the world. There was nothing left. An angel heaven sent by God appeared, carrying with him the blood of Christ. The angel went about searching endlessly for the lost and innocent. After years of discontent, he found a woman, nearly overtaken by satan. She stumbled to the angel, desperate to be saved. He held her tightly to keep her from falling and raised the cup. She drank...and the life escaped from her. The angel left the mortal realm before the arms of hell devoured him, leaving the woman behind. As the angel crossed the threshold, she was there with him, safe in the arms of heaven. -
Writing It's forbidden to fall in love

I really like the Prolouge because it made me wonder a lot. The first chapter's blank?? But the part at school was a little confusing to follow...does the story alternate between dreams and adolecent reality? -
The one you saw on my computer was a bit different from this one... I thought this topic went down the chute...but thankfully you've brought it back. ;) Though, I've been at a mind block on this story for months so it might be a while before the inspiration and the time to write and revise comes back...

Gaming Wow GC 1st anny. and I must say I am a lil........
RicoTranzrig replied to GhostofSalvtore's topic in Noosphere
I usually visit a friends house to play his GCN because I spent my money on a PS2 instead. I find a good majority of the games very colorful and very fun to play with more than one person. SSBM really took a long time to get tired of...almost 3 months, and I found it easier to play than the original. The other game that he has is Fifa World Cup soccer game just because we constantly watched the real thing on international TV a lot... I'm not really disappointed at Nintendo though...it seems like they started over from a different approach so we'll probably see better titles within the following months. -
I'm preparing for my mid-terms this Friday by making a story with a moral in it...it's a very simple one designed for kids. I've proofread most of it, but I'm not good at grammar right now IMO. Tell me what you think. :) It might continue on in a series, depending on how my class goes through the quarter. New Vision Once upon a time, a boy named Akiu began his life in a simple village, isolated from the rest of the world. His parents taught him how to farm, hunt, everything that he needed to survive if he were to be alone. The years passed and the harder the tasks he received. But they were all completed in good faith. He took his time learning the ways of his elders and made a lot of friends along the way. At the turn of his seventeenth birthday, he was finally old enough to join his father and many other men for the annual hunt. The event was dangerous because monsters lurked in the tall grass. It was said that many were killed in the hunt, but Akiu was determined that he would come back alive with his father and friends. They finally set out. It took them from dawn until sunset to reach the distant grasslands before they split up. Akiu went alone. The surroundings got dark before he found something; a dark-shadowy figure crouched on the ground that would be his prey. He raised his spear and it shot out of his hand with great speed, hitting the figure. When he checked to see what he had wounded, he screamed in terror, he had not skewered a mere animal, but a person, clothed differently from them. The villagers hunting nearby came to his call, gathered around the body, and removed the spear from him. Akiu?s father came to him and comforted him by saying; ?You did well, Akiu, but know your target before you strike, like the other creatures around us do.? And with that, all the participants of the hunt camped by the body to pray for the stranger?s recovery and ponder about who he was and why he was different from them.

Well, back in 5th grade, my friend Alex told me to buy Earthbound since he got drawn into the cult following of the game. So I bought it and got tired of the turn based battles b/c I was an action/puzzle/sports junkie...but that was my first experience with a console RPG and the story interested me very much. So I looked in my '94 issue of Gamepro since I saw a 4 part strategy guide for a game like it, which happened to be FFIII(US). So I rented it and played through religously...it had an even better storyline than Earthbound, everything about it was way more serious. Then Chrono Trigger/Super Mario RPG in '96...you know how those games are...and so I said to myself "Wherever Square goes, I go..." Then I bought my PSX just for VII at the time, and that tingling sensation in the back of my spine started when I saw the first FMV...

Hmm, there shouldn't be any spaces in your code (I see one before "BEST"). Hope that helps. And as you know, the limit is 500x100

I do recommend that you read it as well so you know how we conduct ourselves here.

I've been following it every morning I get my news (online and in the paper). It's really creepy to have serial killers out on the loose. You see all the victims of this person...you read their stories, cut short. Sad... they die needlessly at the expense of his perfection of an unjust art...to put it in a way.

Well, a palm-pilot is a type of computer...PC/Mac's might be a more suitable form rather than the Lounge. People can post tech questions there as well if they're having problems.

Dude, not even an apology from him? That's pretty low...at least he owes you that much.

Yeah...it's a lot of revisiting and back tracking to get all of the items in the game, but supposedly it's worth it. Some of the spells or skills are in treasure chests while others are given to you in certain points if you talk to them.
