Expect it to be around November for X-box owners...also, expect it to be a huge expansion of the original.

In another way,...you can also impact another emotionally. You may be able to scientifically prove a physical existence...but it's not that easy to prove that we have a 'soul', or things like: why we mourn when someone dies, why we laugh, why we do certain things that don't make sense to others....I guess those are the mysteries that make life worth living without stopping to explain our existence.

*spoiler, I guess* lol...after a long break, I'm finally in Hollow Baston, which doesn't look like any other part of the game...but now I'm kinda confused about one thing. There are these weird things that have mushroom shaped heads that don't attack you if you don't attack them or the run...they feel a lot like Tonberrys or Cactuars...they special in some way? *end spoil*

I guess you can tell if I spent some time on it or not :) This is another quick one just to let some of my feelings out before I lose it tonight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bugged, attacked, scathed, cracked, My soul burns, yearns, turns, to you. A youth, moved to kneel on the ground, object of affection lost and found. Tourtured, dressed in angst-riddled distress. Pull the wool over her foolish eyes. Take in whatever they see at first light Through the tiny little hole that misinforms their sights. An unwise choice of clothing to go on a lifeless body, Made of straw, dust, rags, evil thoughts Foreboding actions plauge and folly. Her recklessness and irresponsibility destroy what good harvest I toil. Brown fields suppurate the weak. My tears fall on dry soil. I wish the rain would come wash the grief inside I wish you would leave me be to someone else I could truly confide. I need a green harvest, harmony pure, not gold, kind, sweet, unharmed, not left alone to unfold.

That's a lot of money....but it's happened to me before in the 8th grade. I helped my friend set up internet access on his computer and I made the mistake of entering a phone number within the area code, but you still have to pay for long distance (weird bay area rule). Unsuspectingly, they dialed the same number for about a month. The phone bill was a surprising 300 bucks. My friend called me and shouted at me for making such a dumb mistake...but...well, I felt bad... I was never charged for it. He forgave me and all...but I'm not going to be setting up stuff for anyone that involves money...money is bad and it shouldn't get in the way of friendship...

You can't, all depends on your perception of the world...you see all the things around you, the 'real world.' Everything, science, theory, proof...it's all human derived from their percetions and everyone else belives because it seems 'logical' but even that idea came from others. How can you think about who you are if other people don't tell you how to think? lol

This should be fun... 1. Your favorite kind of music: Alternative Rock and Electronica mainly...but I always enjoy other good songs from genres. 2. Your favorite singer/band/song group: I'm torn between a lot of things so I'm not singling anyone out. 3. Your favorite song: "Take Me As I Am" By Tonic 4. Your least favorite kind of music: Experimental Electronica 5. Your least favorite singer: Can't really single one out. 6. Your least favorite song(s): Most of #4 7. Any songs you wrote: "IntroDuction," "Murky Water," and "Forsaken Right." 8. What the name of your band will be if you answered #7: Meteo, Nux, or Innerkid. 9. Would you rather be a singer or a songwriter? Songwriter 10. Which songs are you the best at singing (excluding the songs you wrote, if any): Not really sure...I haven't sung in a while.

You might like it then...you're an SNK fan, right? Gamespot said that the controls are oversimplified but still not really designed for traditional fighting games...at default, the pressure sensitive shoulder buttons determine the strength of your punches and kicks...and the C-stick controls your specials, supers, death attacks, etc...so Zangief's spinning piledriver? 360+punch on PS2? Forward on c-stick for GCN...easy operation.

Gaming Big help for Nintendo coming from Factor 5?
RicoTranzrig replied to NorykoAngelcry's topic in Noosphere
I haven't seen too many GCN games that are heavily reliant on FMV...and now I really prefer the in-game cutscenes on any next-gen system. But their work is still really good...maybe it'll pave the way for extensive data compression that'll eliminate the need for multiple discs like Resident Evil. -
If you have the time, yeah...the game is fairly larger than your typical RPG. There are mechs...but the storyline and music are what give the game strength. We've discussed it a while back so you'll probably be better off doing a search in this section. Since it's a PSX game, it doesn't matter...actually, I think it's better under the "smooth texture" setting in the PS2 configuration.

I got it off Amazon, they always seem to have some in stock. I'd say it's a nice strategy game if you're done with Advance Wars. Like Semjaza said, the battles are easy and some of the classes avalible in the game are useless. I managed to beat it around 35 hours. And yes, the story is good.

I would imagine it to be something worse than "No Life" -.-; I don't really think custom titles are that important. Personally, I think it might be better backwards so a "Newbie" would be able to change their title then once they reach Junior Member status, it reverts so you can't change it anymore. But that's just me... I like the stikethrough option...useful...and I don't think people would be using it for entire posts.

We've already discussed it here so this thread poses two questions that I don't think are valid since Rare was bought out by Microsoft and Nintendo didn't do anything. Secondly, Blizzard is a PC/open console developer so that won't happen anytime soon. Thirdly, I think I should close this because the tone is leaning towards the hostile side...if you can, please restate your ideas in a more conservative manner about blizzard.

Night fell...and the stench of darkness blanketed the area he was in. Not realizing he had been walking for so long carrying the corpse of his friend; merely flesh without a soul inhabiting it. He felt a sharp pain on the backs of his thighs...they were slightly torn apart from the stresses of battle and retreat, he could go no further and set the body down, laying beside a tree as he did. Stopping to think instead of take in...

The voice was gone and Rico was left there with the body of Valeigh. He closed his eyes to sort through what just happened and started walking again, hoping that there was going to be something he wanted to see when he opened his eyes. But there was nothing, he was alone, and hungry. At the same time, though, he could feel a presence inside him, dormant, not speaking...and it kept him company. No dark clouds were in the vicintity yet to stop him so he pressed on, without thought, towards the beams of light.

The cel-shading is awesome for X-box and PS2 systems...my friend has the PS2 version that came with all this collectors stuff. It wasn't as fast-paced as I thought it would be. If you really like Robotech, though, go for it...but I thikn they could have done a better job on it.

Expert mode is not too hard...just keep your health bar to the max at all times. I was at my friends house and realized that Gummi Ship building is heka fun. We had tons of money to spend so we constructed one from scratch...an accelerator, 4 lasers, 4 cannons, and 8 Firaga thrusters made up the bulk of the ship and we added some aeros and armor for a killer design. :)

Well, Tifa's not...but Aeris is :) By far, my favorite voice would have to be Riku's...mature, but cold. I keep wondering how the Japanese cutscenes were like... I can't believe Monstro ran away...now I can't do that white trinity move in there...well, next time around...or hope he comes back before I beat it.

I'm almost in Hollow Baston (where I'm guessing it starts to get "interesting")...I just got through Neverland and I'm restocking in Traverse town. Strange though, that they never take you to meet the Lost Boys or the indians.

True...I enjoyed the first couple hours...until I beat Dante Must Die mode, then it just got really easy from that point on. It didn't have much going for the storyline...it's a lot like Zone of the Enders...great new style of gameplay, but not enough substance to make a lasting impression. Not to mention the corny lines...

For me, it's kinda difficult to talk to other guys about my feelings, but there are a select few who listen in to my inner thoughts, and I consider them my close friends that I can trust...even though it took two years of talking about video games, TV, and other external stuff to build to that. I have a lot of female friends as well...but I don't confide in them except for one or two individuals. I am attracted to some of them, but I don't show it until I really get to know the person. Just like with my male friends...

Time seemed to slow down up to the point where Rico could see the remaning drizzle droplets as single, small specks of water. Almost like a snow fall; but Rico's thoughts were going as fast as he could possibly comprehend. Rico: oO(I don't want to be alone...)Oo Valeigh: Don't worry... "You know...what I'm thinking?" Valeigh: Yes...clearly... "Don't let the darkness take you under..." Valeigh: I'll be okay...I'll find a way back to the sunlight...hopefully you someday. Valeigh gripped the dagger tightly and pointed it towards herself. With it, she raised it....and stabbed herself through the stomach. She exhaled, blood soaking up on her clothing. Her eyes were wide open, looking at Rico, who had eyes like a little kid... Rico: oO(This isn't the end...)Oo Valeigh: Of course it's not.... She collapsed on the ground as the first rays of light breached the thick clouds and hit her. She lay motionless...her life escaped her. Rico held her body and removed the blade from her. He lifted it and threw it as far as he could...it flew into the horizon, clear from his sight. Then he knelt by her lifeless body and cried, holding her, releasing all the pent up emotions into the open wilderness. Hours passed....Rico stood up, carrying Valeigh's body over his shoulder with a slight ease. Rico: oO(I'm not burying you in this desecrated place)Oo Rico looked up into the skies and saw a beam of light shine down towards a distant location, deep within the jungle and he started walking towards that direction... At the same time, though...he could feel someone calling out to him... "Ochkik couldn't take me...my heart belonged to someone else out there..."

It was over...the storm, everything... Rico was shaking as the rays of sunlight began to strike his eyes, still in complete disorder. Red fluid flushed from his eyes, followed by his own salt-water. Once his vision cleared...he sat up and saw Valeigh laying motionelss. He ran up to her and fell beside. Rico: Valeigh? Her eyes opened slightly...face partly covered in dust. Valeigh: It's you...are you...alright? Rico: Shaken up...but I'll be fine... Valeigh: *Folds her lips inwards, holding it with her teeth and begins to cry.* Rico: I said don't worry... Valeigh: I'm not going to make it once the clouds clear. Rico: You sold your soul? To who?! Valeigh: One or the other to save your life...what does it matter? They're going to take me... Rico: No they're not...don't say anything! Valeigh: But it's too late...you stubborn fool... Rico: Call me whatever you like...what you said before they tried to take me...you vowed that you wouldn't let them go through with it. Valeigh: Better someone else, than you... Rico held her hand, the one that carried the dagger that was purged from him. Tears streamed from his face...the neverending sorrow of his existence. Rico: Why?

The flesh enwrapped mummy advanced slowly with it's spear, smeared with blood ready to skewer anything that it had a chance of hitting. As it came closer, it pulled over a pyramind-shaped hood with the corner pointing towards the intended target, Rico. Ochkik: What are you doing, fool? Sitting there...huddled like a the little child that you are. Why don't you grow up for a change... Valeigh: What? It felt like this monster knew him...at a personal level...she looked at the blade's handle, and realized what had happened. Rico: *Looks at the Ochkik and picks up the blade* I know why you gave me this... Ochkik: Hmmm  It raised it's spear towards Rico, which caused him to enter a trance. His eyes glowed red...and again he remained silent, turning towards Valeigh. Valeigh: Hey...Rico??? Holding the blade tightly in his hand, she could see the handle was composed of the very same flesh as that of the Ochkik. Shiny...dark...the pure embodiment of evil. As Rico wielded it, his grip hardened...the handle piercing his knuckles and fingers, poisioning him with infulence to do wrong towards the person he was leering at her with an inhuman passion. He stopped dead in his tracks... Rico: oO(I can't do this...)Oo "But you must..." Rico: My heart is not like yours...it beats strongly and you can never bring it to ruin. "So be it... " The Ochkik just stood there, staring at Rico, emitting low-pitched noises. Just then, Rico's body lifted up from the ground and became limp. The blade fell from his hand, revealing drops of his own blood, the tears of his heart. Valeigh ran next to him and tried to bring him down, only to be lifted up with him. Valeigh: No...! Ochkik readied his spear...the storm was at its peak...

Rico sat dead center of the surrounding trees before the next storm hit, hard...at first it was only a minor trickle, then it became a heavy thrashing, a piercing noise. He sat silent with the strange blade by his side. His knees were huddled up close against his forehead and his arms wrapped around, eyes closed. A few drops landed on his hair, causing it to curl up and hang low over his eyes. Someone called out to him at that moment... "Rico..." The voice faded...but then slowly came back as two different people... "Rico..." He didn't respond...and let solitude consume him before something or someone else did. Valeigh may not have noticed it with her keen senses, but Rico knew there was something near them much worse than the stench of rotting flesh.
