I'm not really into poems, but I loved this one. I love descriptive language and imagery. My favorite part was: Shades of thought, emotion Rolls in the canvas of the mind Like the overcast sky, Like the storm. I can see grey, black, and white paint being swirled onto a canvas by a paint brush. Then I see storm clouds rolling across the sky. And I can imagine how thoughts can enter my mind the same way, particularly angry thoughts that cloud my mind. That's what I get out of that part of the poem. I'm not much of a critic of literary or art work, so I can't give any rating or tell you how you could improve. I personally don't think you need to improve. I enjoyed reading this poem, and I've already told you that I'm a fan of your work. ^^
Originally posted by OtakuSennen It's an OK show to watch once in a while, but I just don't enjoy watching REAL people get injured and hurt and some Japanese guys with names like "Chet" and "Ken" say sorta stupid perverted stuff.
Though I like watching people get hurt, I agree with the perverted jokes part. I'm always of the opinion that perverted jokes are unnecessary and they don't amuse me at all. I just try to ignore those jokes and laugh at the people screwing up.

I love Spongebob! My dad watches it more than I do. The humor in this show isn't totally geared for little kids like other shows on Nick. All ages can find most of those episodes funny. I say most because the newer episodes aren't as good as the older ones. Some of them just plain suck. Not all newer ones are bad though, like "Chocolate with Nuts" My favorite episode is "Band Geeks." That one is hilarious! ^_^ Squidward: So thanks, thanks for nothing! Patrick: Your Welcome. LOL!
Originally posted by scrmngfangrl dude, this is the funneist thing on tv! i love it when people get injured(does that sound bad?) espeiccally the chick that got smacked in the face by the soccerball! lmfao. and the logs. those look espeically painful^^ and yeah, the voice overs are really creative and funny.
LOL! I loved that part with the soccer ball! The challenge was to run through the mud (donated by a septic tank company, according to the announcers lol) and catch the ball. The girl was looking straight up, and got hit right in the face! Then in the top ten countdown, that scene was number one, and they showed it several times in rapid succession. It was hilarious!! ^_^ When I lived on Okinawa, I would sometimes see some pretty weird game shows. They usually consisted of some elaborate obstacle course. They were pretty cool. I don't think the shows were comedic, but they were all in Japanese anyway, so even if they were, I wouldn't know. ^^;

Huh. I wonder why middle schools don't allow backpacks. Mine didn't, and neither does the one here. It would be ridiculous if violence was the reason, because high schools are generally more violent than middle schools. I went to a very nice middle school, and never witnessed a fight there, though there were some. And backpacks are allowed at many high schools, except for some of the ones mentioned here. I don't even use my locker, I just carry everything in my backpack. So why don't middle schools allow backpacks?

My dream vacation is going to Korea and being able to speak Korean. So I can actually have conversations with my family and get to know them better. Knowing Korean will make the trip more enjoyable all around. I'll be able to experience so much more, and it'll all have a much stronger impact on me. Hopefully, this dream vacation will become a reality one day. I just have to get off my lazy butt and start learning. ^_^ Though I wish my mom had started teaching me when I was little. I also want to take a trip to Japan and know Japanese. I wasted the six years that I lived in Okinawa, and I want another chance to appreciate that country more. I miss Okinawa a lot. Besides, I've never actually visited the mainland. I just spent my time on a military base being bored. >.>

Whee! Kimchi is awesome! ^^ I love eating it with ramen, and rice. Korean meals never seem complete without kimchi. It makes me so sad when we run out. Escpecially when I discover this after cooking some instant ja-ja-myung. But Mom gets busy sometimes and doesn't make it, and then eats the last of what we do have. As for favorite foods, I love popcicles. Escpecially these watermelon popcicles with little chocolate "seeds." It's a Japanese product though, and I haven't had one since I left Okinawa. My mom is going to ask her friend who own the local Korean/Asian food/gift store to get some though. She says Korea makes that kind of popsicle too. Anyway, I also like stuff like pizza, but I really like Korean food like bulgolgi and gimbop (spelling Korean words in English is hard).

My dad hates it when I watch anime. He hates it when I go to this forum. But I think he realizes that I'm old enough to make my own decisions and that he can't really stop me, so he doesn't forbid me. He tells me not to watch it, but I do anyway, and he doesn't punish me, so it's ok. My mom thinks that their just "stupid cartoons" and is ok with it as long as it doesn't interfere with school work or anything. I'm not going to argue that they aren't cartoons, because there's no point, and it's not hurting anything.

Yeah, I like to read closed threads. I feel drawn to them sometimes. ^^; First, I want to know why it was closed, like what kind of stupid thread it was. I'm also interested in what the mod who closed it said. Sometimes they're sarcastic or something like that, and I think it's funny. I can learn from the mistakes made, too.

I LOVE the Inu Yasha manga! I like it better than the anime. I can't wait until vol. 15 comes out in Novemeber. I also like Ramna 1/2. I've been meaning to check out some other mangas, but I'm always so rushed at the book store. Maybe next time. Where do you get Shonen Jump? I tink I saw it at Blockbuster once, but I might be mistaken.

*sigh* I start school on Wednesday, and I'm not looking forward to it at all. I'm not looking forward to seeing certain people. Like those annoying immature people. They get on my nerves so bad. I don't want to see certain teachers either. But as soon as I get my routine set, I'll be ok. It's the beginning of the year that always sucks. Do your schools do mission statements? My school requires that every class does one. And every statement says basically the same thing. While the idea of a mission statement might have some values, I think making me do one eight times is stupid. They have no meaning at my school, and are a complete waste of time. Does anybody else's school do this crap, or is mine the only one?

I have one best friend. She's honest, loyal, fun, and all that other good stuff. She's the one I tell everything, and she won't tell anyone I don't want her to. Then I have another good friend. She's a lot of fun, and keeps things interesting. We three hang out together a lot, usually at Sarah's house (my good friend). Other than that I have a bunch of acquaintances and stuff. I don't need a lot of friends. I think that if you have a couple of good friends that you can pour your heart out to, and have a really good time with, then you've got something more precious than treasure. I've got all that I need. ^^

Hi! This is my first post! (So I'll try not to screw it up ;) ) Ok. You might think "She's hardly been here at all, so if there was no OB it wouldn't really matter to her." (Escpecially considering this is my first post) But I have been browsing these forums since January, and spent a LOT of time here this summer. And because I just registered, I haven't gotten a chance to really meet the people that make the OB so awesome. If these boards were to disappear, then it would be a big loss to me. Besides, I really like wasting my time here! :p (So do you; that's why you're here. ;) )
