I'd consider most of that stuff as "Rap." There's a slight difference between the two, and in my books, Hip Hop is underground ****. It's the sh it. My favorites include: Grouch Living Legends Guru/Gang Starr Hieroglyphics Souls of Mischief Grand Puba Jeru the Damaja Ugly Duckling Roots Manuva Jurassic-5 Aesop Rock Aceyalone Abstract Rude DJ Serious Pete Rock A Tribe Called Quest The Roots It would benefit you all to download tracks from some of these artists. The best songs, IMHO, are: Souls of Mischief - Step to my Girl Ugly Duckling - Lay it on Ya DJ Serious - The Enlightening Aesop Rock & Slug - I'll Be OK Grouch - Once Upon a Rhyme Aceyalone & Abstract Rude - We Like Breakbeats Mystik Journeymen & Grouch - Liquid Cement Zion I & Grouch - Silly Puddy (kinda techno beat) Jeru the Damaja & DJ Honda - El Presidente :freak:/forever hieroglyphical sHin

Anime The saddest anime you will ever see in your life....
Shinji v2.0 replied to Nothing674's topic in Otaku Central
If you guys are truely into sad anime, I suggest you check out Now & Then, Here & There. The first DVD has just been released by CPM. Basically, it's about a young guy named Shu, who is eventually sucked into a time warp (cliché alert) 5 billion years into the future, where the sun has expanded like crazy, and the whole world is like one big battlefield. Little kids + fighting in wars against oppression = sad :freak: / forever hieroglyphical sHin -
If you want the bottom line lowest prices on Anime DVD's, your best bet is most likely www.uln.com , a.k.a. www.bestprices.com Cheap cheap cheap. :freak: / forever hieroglyphical sHin
Originally posted by Akito Poor poor shinji-chan, they are having talks shinji. So dun go around acting all like ur a god, cause u aren't.
No, they are not. Licensing of Flame of Recca is temporarily suspended. You think you're smarter than me...You think you know more than me...Hell, you even dub yourself "the Great Akito." If you're so intelligent, then I'm sure you're aware that the word "anime" is already plural, therefor you should never add an "s" on to the end.
What the hell is that? Thats like, not understandable! I dun even know where it was originally supposed to begin and where it was supposed to end. By the way, Yes, I've seen almost all the other series that u guys mentioned. But I've either haven't seen enough, or didn't think it was that good to put on the list. If u haven't seen alot, I'd advise not to say it's the best series u've seen. My opinion, if U've seen at least 5-7 eps, u can say if it's the best anime, unless it's one of those animes that is only have like 1-4 eps.
I love you baby :smooch: :freak: / forever hieroglyphical sHin
Originally posted by Akito I thought the plot was good, just the art was a bit bad. Same with MS Gundam, it didn't suck, it was a hell of alot better then GW plot wise, but art wise, GW was far better then the original MSG. Also, yes, Kei's right, if u've seen the dubbed utena, ur missing out. For some reason, any anime that is dubbed is horribly currupted.
I wonder if the fact that Mobile Suit Gundam was released 17 years before Gundam Wing has anything to do with it, eh Akito? :worried: :freak: / forever hieroglyphical sHin
Originally posted by Bluewizard My board is Blind, Destructo trucks, Darkstar wheels, and I can't remember the bearings. People say Blind boards break easy, but I must have done a hundred boardslides on high rails, and my boards hasn't broken yet. The only "skatepark" anywhere near my house is a basketball court where some guys dragged a couple of kickers, a rail, and a quarter pipe. It really sucks. Oh well.
It boggles the mind that although you're 2 years younger than me, and I have probably been skateboarding longer than you have, yet you can manage to land "a hundred boardslides on high rails" (without snapping your deck, to boot)...Kids these days...And Krillen, Casper 3 Flip-Out, eh? Hah...The problem with Tony Hawks Pro Skater is that kids can just start playing, memorize the names of tricks, and then somehow think they can acomplish them. You show me a 14 year old who can do a Casper 3 Flip and I'll buy you a prostitute. Anywho, I was riding a Brendan Frasier Element Featherlite, but I snapped it doing a 3 Flip a few days ago, so I'm in need of a new deck...This time I think I'm going to go back to Girl. Orion trucks, China Bones bearings, and Chocolate wheels. Boom. :freak: / forever hieroglyphical sHin
Originally posted by Master G They are made up of dif members of diff bands like i said b4...2-D is from blur well, atleast he is Noodle is a 10yr old chinese girl murdoch & Russel...beats me
Let it be known before I start that I do not like the Gorillaz...I'm just musically knowledged. Noodle isn't really 10 years old, just to let you know, though she is a short Chinese girl. 2-D is Damon Alburn form Blur, yeah. Murdoch, beats me...Russel is Dan the Automator, who's a DJ that's fairly well known to the underground hip hop world (one of my favorites). Personally, I think that without Del the Funky Homosapien, the Gorillaz would have never really gone anywhere. :freak: / forever hieroglyphical sHin

A very deep psychological question...
Shinji v2.0 replied to Alexander's topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve I wouldn't care one bit... but there's a reason for that. But you'd have to ask my best friend when I told him i was gay... He said "more power to you"... and we talk about it freely as if nothing has changed, and it hasn't... I'm still his friend, and he's still mine... and in friendship, it doesn't matter what you are... friends are friends, and nothing, even sexual orientation, can change a real friendship. By the way, this question was asked a few months ago, but thats ok... I just remember it being asked... I don't know if you were around at that time... so I'll let this topic stay open if people wish to respond... but be mature in your answers people... no matter your decision.
Oh come on now TN, we all know that's not a psychological question for you -- it's a dream come true!!! Just kidding big guy. If your view on your best friend changes the slightest bit after being informed of his/her sexual preference, well then, you weren't really best friends now, were you? sHin -
What's going on my fellow Otaku-ites? Today my ears were graced with a great song from the world of underground hip-hop, Sage Francis - Makeshift Patriot. I strongly reccomend that all of you check out this song. It's pretty much just talking about Sept. 11th, the racial prejudice that followed, how the government and media now control us, and how we've all decided to be patriotic now. It's some serious stuff, and it hits hard, but if you give it a chance, and actually listen to the words (you'll prolly have to listen to the song a few times)...well...yea....peace out sHin
