2. Eh, I seemed to have more friends when I wasn't a moderator. Now some people will talk to me on AIM, and I know they are doing it just because I am a mod. But aside from the small cult forming in Digimon, I consider myself to be fairly well liked. -Shy
3. Oh, sorry. This should all take place on Monday, at least that is what Toon Zone says. -Shy

5. We have a Yu-Gi-Oh forum for Yu-Gi-Oh discussions, and there does not seem to be much of a topic here so I am closing it. Also, please do not tell members which topics go where. This is called "playing mod" and is strictly against the rules. -Shy
6. According to Toon Zone, Cartoon Network is going to take full advantage of Time Warner/AOL, and air some of Kids WB's most popular series in Prime Time! Plus all sorts of other stuff is happening too...
Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh join Cartoon Network Primetime: Replacing Dexter's Laboratory and Johnny Bravo are two of Kids WB's greatest hits, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh. They will air weeknights from 9:00 to 10:00 pm. They will also start from the very beginning, so Pokémon fans will want to have their VCRs ready. The Brand New Midnight Run: After housing Dragonball Z for a year, The Midnight Run finally revises itself. At midnight is G Gundam, a show that had previously been removed from Toonami afternoons this month. At 12:30 am is the return and official Cartoon Network debut of the action-cartoon classic G.I. Joe, which had been tested in the summer and succeeded with flying colors. Super Saturdays Make Room for Gundam: In addition to The Midnight Run, G Gundam will find another slot to rest for people who don't like staying up. From 2:00 to 3:00 pm, you'll be able to catch Domon, Rain, and the others with two back-to-back episodes.
-Shy
7. I write a semi-regular opinions column for my school newspaper (I am editor-in-chief, good for me titled "Angry Student". I am going to use this topic to post some of my newspaper articles, enjoy. From September 2002... ?I?m not popular enough to do drugs,? It was a simple response, and my parents were just curious. It wasn?t as though they thought I was actually doing anything. My answer surprised them more than I thought it would. When they were in high school ?druggies? were made fun of and criticized, but this is 2002, and the times have definitely changed. They wanted to know why the school was not doing anything to try and prevent this from happening, but the sad truth is that they were. 10 years of Red Ribbon Weeks and D.A.R.E. may have influenced me, but the programs were not as effective to everyone else. Nearly one in ten high school students regularly does one of dozens of different types of drugs -- and by the end of the year 10,000 die because of it. The good news is that I never had to worry about them. My popularity is my anti-drug. I don?t speak to many people in my classes, so the chances of ever being offered to ?go rave? are pretty slim. Unfortunately not everyone is as gifted with social awkwardness as I am. The ?in-crowd? at ALHS is forced to fend for themselves. Football players, cheerleaders and even the academic overachievers have been known to experiment with these controlled substances. I?m not concerned with alcohol, although far too many students celebrate the end of the week by spending an evening with Jack Daniels. Would my parents even notice if I started smoking pot or injecting myself with Heroin? Probably, but that doesn?t mean everyone else?s would. This issue has gone unchecked for so longs that many people begin to forget that it is an issue at all. In every one of my classes there is at least one person who is a shining example of how drugs cause brain damage. Sobriety is not as easy to spot as one would think, but when I overhear a conversation about the finer points of bong-usage I can make an educated guess. So the real question is, if this problem persists, who is to blame? It would be wrong to blame the parents, because they are so busy working that they do not have the time to care for their children. We can?t blame the school, because the D.A.R.E program does an amazing job of getting students out of class to watch videos. And of course, we can?t blame them ourselves, because that would just be ridiculous. PS: Thank you Cera/Sara/Cynic/girl I know...

The sunlight began to glare off of my round, yellow head and reflected directly into Dante's dark and deep eyes. He took a sidestep to the right, and moved from the old, wooden panels that streched across the area that covered the boathouse. Wear and tear had finally worked their way into these buildings, and the outbreak of the T-Virus certainly did not help. Heat from the sun began to shine through the thick clouds along the shore, and I began to sweat. It isn't common for a Pac-person to sweat in such heat, but I had a lot on my mind. Was Dot really safe with her Grandfather, and had I been foolish not to let her go without me? And what about my family? Argh, why does life have to be so complicated?

16. I want the complete Goofy DVD set that comes out this December. It has all of his solo cartoons, including the "How to" series. ^_^ ..and I want a car. But who can worry about a car when Goofy is on DVD?
17. Yes, of course I have seen the show. Here is my general analysis of it (from a comic book nerd point-of-view)... - I really don't like Huntress. Many of the complaints about the show being "too sexy" are from her. She is a walking sex object without any sort of personality, and she is also in the show too much. Nearly every scene is about Helena, and only a show with a strong lead character can handle this sort of pressure. Also: How is she half meta-human? Batman was human, and so was Catwoman. Were there a few years of continuity that I missed? Endymion, can you help me out here? - Barbara Gordon rocks! This is exactly the way that she should have been portrayed in "Batman and Robin". She is smart, clever, and intregal to the team. I don't like how she always has to leave when her wannabe boyfriend (what is his name?) starts talking to her. It is turning into the Smallville Lana/Clark thing all over again. Plus, Oracle should never leave the watchtower, it is just common sense. There isn't going to be a wheelchair ramp in every criminal's secret base. Huntress should be the only one out there, and possibly Diana once she learns some more fighting techniques. - Alfred. Clever as always, he should have a larger role in the show. - Why do they keep calling it New Gotham? Has "No Man's Land" already happened in their universe? And if so, did Lex Luthor help pay for it? - The detective character annoys me. I think that the idea of a police officer chaarcter is good, but the romantic aspect is lame. And if he had half a brain he would have figured out who she is. How can the daughter of Bruce Wayne fight crime without a mask and not get noticed? I am sure that they know Selina Kyle was Catwoman, it would be common sense to keep an eye on her. - Diana. Nice, sweet.... boring too. - There don't seem to be any other heroes in New Gotham besides the BOP. There also don't seem to be any major threats to the city as a whole. I want some classic Batman villains, even the Penguin could rip Harley Quinn to shreds. - Harley Quinn. For the record I am a huge Harley Quinn fan, and I am very happy that she is in the show. But there are just too many problems with her appearing on BOP. Yes, Harley would probably be working to avenge Mr. J; but there is no way that I could ever imagine her as a criminal mastermind. Harley seems to be much more in control as well, but I would like to see an occasional glimpse of her true insanity as well. If they showed her prized Hyena's I would be thrilled. - It is too early to make a judgement. But BOP is a show that was not made for comic book fans. Hopefully all of my minor complaints with the characters will be ironed out by the end of the first year. I would like to see larger stories carried out, instead of the "Metahuman of the week", but this is the 4th week, it is too soon to complain about them being repetetive. -Shy
18. OtakuBoards is my drug :whoops: But I don't know of anyone who can claim that drugs helped them in school. But the grading system (in the US anyway) is really based off of your ability to complete assignments, not on your actual intelligence or ability in that subject. In my opinion, most everyone is equally smart, but it is really how people develop that effects them later in life. Am I completely off topic now? Oops. I get ok grades, nothing stellar. Usually a B average.... -Shy
19. I really didn't understand this show until the second episode or show. I am a huge anime fun, but at the same time I think that anime is too cliche filled to parody. Even classics like Evangelion parody anime as a whole (fan service, anyone?) so I thought that there wasn't any new ground to cover. I was wrong. This is definitely one of the funniest things I have seen in a while. Everything is so completely illogical, and the characters are complete idiots, I love it. I have only seen the first volume though, but I can't wait to get my hands on the others. -Shy
20.
Originally posted by Endymion Yep, Suzuka's voice is done by Wendee Lee, also known as Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop. (she's also Alpha from Power Rangers, Kiyone from Tenchi Muyo, Biyomon & Sora & TK from Digimon, and about 100 other voices you're probably familiar with) It's not surprising that she did both voices, even if the shows were released around the same time. Voice acting is a low-competition field. Actors easily have the ability to do more than one series at a time, even in dubs. She's a very talented voice actress, so I'm sure this is easy for her. Another example of a busy voice actor is Phil La Marr, who does the voices of Samurai Jack, Green Lantern from Justice League, Static Shock, Osmosis Jones (in the Ozzie & Drix TV series, not the movie) and Vamp from Metal Gear Solid 2. Another reason Wendee Lee does so many voices is because voice acting doesn't pay as much as screen acting. You gotta do a lot of roles just to make ends meet.
*grumbles* I was going to say all of that! Yes, it is very interesting how many of the same voice actors all seem to appear on our favorite shows. It is also funny to see how many females do voices for male characters (Ash from Pokemon is a good example.) -Shy

Dot grabbed her grandfather tightly and cried. Earl struck another pose for some reason. Grandpa: Oh Dot, it is wonderful to see you again. What are you doing here in Raccoon City? Dot: Me? What are you doing in Raccoon City? Are you looking for my father too? Dante, Toejam, Earl and I stared blankly at Dot and her grandfather. Why would Dot's grandfather be looking for himself? Pac: Excuse me, but why does Dot's grandfather have to look for himself? Toejam: Yeah! From out of her pruse Dot pulled a giant wooden mallet and beat me over the head with it. Dot: We have been looking for my FATHER this entire time, not my grandfather! I pulled myself from the floor and rubbed the bruise on my forehead. For someone who is always screaming or crying, she sure is strong. Grandpa: I came to Raccoon City to find my son, the brilliant scienist Professor Packington. I called up my buddies from the Pac Village Militia, and we came down here to find him. Dante: Colonel Packington? The Colonel removed several war medals from his pocket and passed them around. Grandpa: I served in the Mushroom Kingdom army during the great Koopa war of 87'. My friends are scouting the area now, we are ready to take on any threat. Come with us Dot, and we will find your father together. Dot: Oh, Gramps. That is a great idea! Dot hugged her grandfather tightly, and was filled with excitement by this stattement. I turned around, and scuffed the floor with my red shoes. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I turned around to discover that it was Dot. Dot: All of you can go home now. With the Colonel here, I will be able to find my father safely in no time at all. Dante: Hmm... what does everyone else think about this? Pac: Unless Dot needs my help, I should be heading home. With all of this chaos, I need to know that my wife and child are okay. Dot: ...oh. Well, Dot took her hand off of me and stepped back. We don't need your help. But once I find my father, I will definitely stop by your house to thank you personally, okay Pac? Earl: Ooh, Pac's gonna cheat on Mrs. Pac Dude! Pac: Shut up. Well, if that is the case... we should go. There is no point in risking our lives by staying here anymore. I'm going to the boat house, and hopefully I can find a way to get across the ocean and to Pac Village. Anyone who would like to join me, please come along. Dot: Farewell Dot. Good luck with everything in the future, I hope you find what you are looking for. Dot rushed up and gave Dante a hug Dot: You too Dante. Take care of yourself, and once I find my father he can help you with the T-Virus antidote. Dot moved over and hugged Toejam and Earl. Dot: Even though you are really weird, I am glad that I met you. Stay funky you two. Earl: You won't have to worry about that sista' I walked down the street with Earl, Toejam and Dante behind me. Dot no longer needed my help, good. I didn't like her very much anyway. She was always complaining about stuff do, I hope she is very happy with her Grandfather... bah!
