My best friend shares the same interests as I do, but we seem to disagree on a lot of basic philosophical/moral issues. even though we seem to be slipping apart, I would still do anything for him.. he isd my best friend after all. Outside of that... a lot of my friends do not like anime very much, and they seem to frown upon my time at the boards. On the boards, many of my best friends here don't share many common interests, but after talking to them for a while I realized that we have shared a lot of similar experiences.[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1]While Adam, our beloved webmaster works hard on future sections for the otaku I myself am currently putting together the new and improved Outlaw Star section(!) All of the pieces are falling together for what will hopefully become the greatest Outlaw Star site on the web. I have been working on several different wallpapers for the site (I have posted a few of them) but they are not nearly as well done as my written works. That is where you come in: I need people who can help me to create not just wallpapers, but works of art. Create an original Outlaw Star wallpaper with dimensions 1024 by 768 pixels. The wallpaper can say anything on it, can feature whatever characters from the show you want, etc. You may use any pictures from our picture gallery as you want. No limitations on that. The only limitations are: 1) Above dimensions must be followed, 2) Wallpaper must be original, and 3) Wallpaper must not have any watermarks/signatures/URLs on it and you agree to let us publish them on the site. I will personally accept all entries; don't send them to Adam, because I will be in charge of this. All entries can be sent to [email][email protected][/email], or posted in this same thread. You can send in as many entries as you would like, but please try to send in only what you feel is your best work. There is no set number of wallpapers that I will accept. I will try to put as many of them on the site as I can, but there is no guarantee that yours will be included. I have been here a pretty long time, and every topic seems to remind me of an older one. Now that I am reaching the end of my high school career a lot of places remind me of past events, and people who have left. I had a lot of fun at high school, it is a shame that this will be my last year.[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1]The storline if "X" is a great thing, but because of how short the movie is there isn't enough time to cover all of it. The animation is superb, and it has one of the better english dubs. I highly reccomend the movie to fans of a good action movie, even those who are new to anime. I believe that there is a tv series based off of "X" but I haven't seen any of it...[/color][/size]

There are a large variety of caster shells, and many of them are created by hand, so there could very well be 100 different varieties of the caster shell. The most powerful caster shell fired during OS was #13, which had to be created specifically by the wise men of Planet Tenrei. [color=darkblue][size=1]Bart Versus the Space Mutants. I don't remember where I got stuck, but I believe that it was during the last level. I have never beated Dragon Warrior. Not because it is a hard game, but because of the fact that my game gets deleted by my brother every time I try to play it. Plus the main character walks too slowly... which is my main complaint with the game.[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1][b]Warning Spoilers: What kind of moron reads a topic about a movie without expecting there to be spoilers?[/b] I saw this movie, and I really enjoyed it. I thought it took an interesting approach to the "alien invasion" story. The fact that they do not show the aliens until late in the movie is a great touch. Suspense is a million times more frightening than horror... all of the noises that the creatures made in the darkness left a lot to the imagination. Once they began to show the entire alien, the movie began to lose its touch. Halfway through the movie I began to think that the little girl was an alien. Why else would she be so picky about what water she drank? And when the father explained to her that she was born with giant eyes... it seemed for certain that she was from another planet. I was wrong though... which is a good thing. All of the acting was very good. I especially liked the people in town, I thought they were all very funny in those scenes. The ending was a little bit of a disappointment. I was honestly expecting all of them to die, but I guess that would have made a few people very upset. All in all, I think it was one of the best movies I have seen this year. I highly reccomend it to everyone who enjoys to be scared out of their mind. *grabs a bucket of water*[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1]I have been toying around the with idea of joining your rpg, but the main problem is that you were introducing rules and ideas that are completely foreign to me. The sign up page was a huge amount of reading for an online message board, so that probably turned a few people off as well. Always try to get your point across using the least amount of words possible, especially since a good portion of the members here are under 13.[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1]I have read about quite a few rumored sequels to Outlaw Star 2, and as far as I know they are all a bunch of myths and lies. Sunrise has said that an Outlaw Star sequel is not in the works, so unless you can provide me with a link I am doubtful.[/color][/size]

Perhaps they could each have their own seperate boards (using the same software as we do here) there could be a small family of message boards. Also if they were using the same software. That way they members wouldn't have to re-register for Shine Boards (I like that name.) Our little Otaku Boards are going to be split into pieces... so sad....[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1]Aside from some academic achievements (except for chemistry, I am terrible at that class.) I feel my greatest accomplishment is the fact that I manage and edit the my high school newspaper. When I have a chance to sit down, relax and read through other people's work (I probably seem like a 6th grader here. But in reality I am quite an intelligent person) I get a good sense that I am doing something helpful and productive, which is always a good thing. It is very stressful trying to put something together with such a tight schedule, and with all of the person conflicts our staff has I think it is amazing that we get anything done. We have been recognized for a few awards, and hopefully next year we will win a few more. Every time we put out a new issue, that becomes my greatest accomplishment.[/color][/size]

[color=darkblue][size=1]With rpg's on these boards, the basic problem is that people don't like detailed rpgs. They prefer to post nonsense all day long... which is why the majority of rpgs here are terrible. Even an rpg with a group of people considered to be "good members" might still turn out to be boring (Take James' many great attempts at rpgs, no offense of course.) The story is only one part of an rpg as a whole, character interaction is what keeps people posting... Hmm... I want to start an rpg now.... *wanders off*[/color][/size]

Quinn, Jake, Jane, Helen.... there were a lot of very funnt characters, and I liked how they didn't try to dumb anything down for the MTV audience. I don't watch it on Noggin, mainly because that channel doesn't come in 100% correctly.[/color][/size]
