1. As of, well, a few days ago, Richard has ascended. It's great, the xp boost, but I must say it's nice that the game doesn't end there. I haven't done too much pvp with Rich, but just hunting around and helping people out is a huge part of the game experience. I've found that giving away my items from the desert is much more rewarding than just salvaging or selling them. I can get as much money as I need in the desert just with henchies. But when I give away stuff, I can see the CG eyes of the newbies light up with excitement when they see the purple text of the axe, or the +9 of the scroll. I kinda got a pay it forward thing going on, only I don't get stabbed at the end of the movie ;-) Well, I'm just kind of randomly checking in, I guess. Roland, my warrior, is level...10? I haven't played Twang (Ranger) in quite a while, and I'm considering making an Ele/Mo, but the Monk side might just make me want to heal everybody instead of putting the hurt down on the baddies. Well, that's it. Now I get to talk to a dragon inside of a grain of sand....
2. Ok people, I've started a primary mesmer. His name is Franklin Chambers. I always have a hard time remembering who is who with the different character names. Apparently Annie was on today and I didn't even know it! So, I guess I just wish to say that we have another primary mesmer. Now I need to figure out what to put for his second class....I'm thinking maybe an Elementalist.
3. After a two week hiatus at music camp, I am back in the Guild Wars scene. My monk Richard Chambers is almost level sixteen, but he has a bunch of unfinished quests. Something like seventeen of them. If anyone needs some help with earlier quests, give me a ring. I'll be glad to get them out of my log and collect the xp. Also, my brother deleted his character, so I have an open space to fill. What character class in the guild in need of?
4. Wow, I'm glad you people pulled me in again last night. I'm planning on buying this game tonight, weather permitting (I severely dislike Kansas weather. It's hot when I was working, raining when I want to buy something.) I'm excited seeing that so many people here are playing this game. My problem with other MMO's that I've played (usually free ones like Mu) is that I can never connect with a group enough to come back to them. So yay to you all. So, I want to ask if I need to be on a specific server to play with you guys. Upon learning this most valuable information, I will use the magic button that you people call "edit" to provide you with the name of my character/cash cow so I can join your guild. Also, do you have a lack of any certain class that you need more of? Or does that really matter? I'll most likely end up playing a tank anyway. Cough, sorry. Warrior. Edit: Roland Ferguson (Ferguson is one helluva cool last name) Warrior/Monk (of course) Richard Chambers: Monk/Elementalist Misseur Twang: Ranger And my brother's character Prince Dahaka: Ranger Look me up please. This aughta be fun.
5. I've been looking for something to get me back into the boards, so I figure starting a new RP is as good an idea as any. Achtung is about a resistance in the Jewish ghettos during World War II. Taking place in the Tarnow Ghetto, a group of Jews attempts to make their way to the borders of the nearby allied countries of Slowakia and Hungary. I am trying to make this into more of a 'realistic' rp. Meaning that most of the younger men were set to work, so the characters will be mostly older men and women. I don't know if anything along of the lines of html is going to happen, but it could go great with the chapter system. Any more ideas would be appreciated. Here's a link for the info. Sorry, you'll have to cut'n'paste, forgot how to do the handy-dandy links: http://www.deathcamps.org/occupation/tarnow%20ghetto.html
6. And I thought the original Black Horizon was the best you could pull out of that particular orfice. I don't like the idea of time travel personally, just stick them in one loosely defined world and let us go crazy is what I say. We can define the world how our characters discover it.
7. I don't remember why I originally joined, I was most likely incredibly bored, so much that I surfed the internet (on my 56krap, which is gone now) and found this. Oh, wait a sec, on of my friends was on it. That reminds me, he's gone now. Like I was, but now I have more time. But now I'm back after a long hiatus. Pretty much band got in the way. But I'm back because I want to get back to writing, so I figure going back to the place where I started would help. It seems like any good addiction, you just keep coming back.
8. Sam was sitting alone in the pilots seat. The new bridge was completely protected. The tritanium was the thickest in the cockpit, and the glass was probably made out of some kind of classified matierial. "None of it really matters" Sam though to himself. "I doubt this thing will be able to dodge asteroids like the last one." In other places in the cockpit were navigation panels, caulk guns, and a first aid station. "That first aid station would have come in handy..." No Sam, don't do this now. "That first aid station would have come in handy when Tex was dying." With that Sam dropped to his knees and broke down. The tears soon turned into wracking sobs of pain. He starting yelling like an infant who didn't get his favorite toy, thinking the screams would return it to him. But all they brought were painful memories of the woman he had loved. He saw himself stalking her in the shower, attacking her when his friends need help, and Tex in her dying moments. Deaf from his screams, Sam didn't hear Trini come through the reinforced hydraulic door. He didn't hear her drop her papers and folders. However, he could feel her as she dropped to her knees and cradled Sam like a child. She steadied his rocking body and put his head on her shoulder. From that position Sam let out the rest of his tears, screaming every now and then until he fell into a half sleep.
9. Sam was next to stand. "Hello everybody. My name's Sam Tiller. Sam to my friends," Sam looked at Lt. Ana "Pilot to others" and finally glanced at Allen "And 'damnit Sam, stop that right now' to very few." This comment left more than a few of the crew-members puzzled. This must have been a warning to Sam that no one had a sense of humor on this ship, save himself; and on a good day, the original crew. He sat down in silence. Too much had happened on the previous mission for any light-heartedness. Everyone knew the atrocities of the events on the Bladerunner. Most of them were likely wondering if they'd ever see their families again, or even step foot on earth. It's a shame that not many had before. As everyone was waiting for the next person to get over their juvenile shyness, Sam's gaze drifted the mission shrink. Steffanie Littleton was sent on this mission all because of Sam. This was written nowhere, but he knew. Not very many people came back from insanity in that short of time. When they do, there is something to worry about.
10. "Just stay in here. I'll go talk to the good captain." The Air Force investigator who's name Sam never bothered to learn stepped out of the car. He walked in a very business-like way, almost screaming that he deserved better. Sam turned away from the window. He was holding an audio recorder which he was supposed to record his thoughts into. It's supposed to quell his 'urges', or so his shrink says. He watched as the man approached Allen. "What a dick" Sam spoke into the microphone. Hey, this does help. The investigator finished talking with Allen, who began jogging towards the car as the other went to the security officer for the mission. "He's probably arranging for me to be locked up as soon as I give one of the women a second glance." Sam took the recorder from his mouth as Allen opened the door. "Hardly back on the planet and you're still in trouble? Come on, get out of the car." Sam climbed out of the black cadillac and leaned against it. "My god, you look terrible." Allen looked over his friend, who had gained some weight. His hair was unkept, his face pale and eyes sunken. Sam shrugged. "I've had a few late nights." Sam left the support of the car with a groan and began walking into the hangar. "So, how are the new people?" Allen laughed. "Same as we were. Ignorant to what could go wrong."
11. "Now Tiller, I want you to look at me." He continued looking down. "Tiller, you have to stop doing this." The man held up a picture of the woman from tonight. "Look at me you disgusting pig!" Sam felt his head being jerked up. "How long was it going to be until you started picking up hookers? Now the blood was stinging his eyes. "How long until you started killing them?" The man just sat staring at Sam until he recieved his answer. "I wouldn't kill her. I would never kill Tex. He killed her." "I'm sick of this bull-shit!" Said the man, furiously rising from his chair. "Every single time. He did it. He's the one to blame. Well, Sam, He didn't kill her." "Who did?" Sam looked into the face of the Air Force investigator assigned to him. The man's nostrils were flaring in fury. "You'll be kept here" he said, avoiding the subject. "Until the mission, you will not leave this base." Now Sam was standing too. "You have no right!" The investigator looked the other man in the eye. "Security," he said to the people behind the one-way mirror, "escort this man back to his room." "You're out of your god-damn mind." "Really? I'm not the one who screams in his sleep." The man said this confidently as Sam was drugged and taken away by the security officers.
12. Name: Sam Tiller Age: 31 Position: Pilot Bio: Sam was born and raised a farm-boy in Wisconson. He did the same boring job, on the same boring farm, at the same boring place where he ate and slept. His school life was in fact, also boring. After all that boredom, he found some refuge: his car. His boring life picked up when he turned 16, finally getting a car, with some freedom thrown in on the side. Every night was packed with street races and cop chases. Rarely losing races and never getting arrested, Sam graduated from school, only to be stuck in a rut. He had no idea what he was going to do. Then, at his graduation party, he was invited into the Air Force. The idea wasn't sounding too good, that is until the officer told him the planes were fast. Sam enrolled and was shipped off to a base in Nebraska. After suffering slightly through boot, he started to push the envelope with what a person could do with an aircraft. After becoming a master in many planes, the higher authorities in the Force decided him worthy of testing experimental planes and space flights. He was put through very specialized training, he became a crack space-flight pilot. Soon he was selected for the Bladerunner mission. That was when his life changed in a dramatic way. He was exposed to things that warped his mind; at one point causing him to lose his sanity. He somehow recovered, mostly thanks to the help of a new-found love, Tex. She was the forensics investigator on the mission, and was the reason for the losing and regaining of Sam's control over his mind. After her death during the mission, Sam had attempted suicide. Most of that is contributed by the infection he had sustained from the 'demons'. Upon returning, Sam was locked inside of a debriefing for close to two days. It was cut short, however, by unusual symptoms he had been showing. He was rushed to the medical wing of the Air Force base, where it was discovered he had been infected by the demons. It was found quickly, and the tumor-like "hive" that was growing inside of him was painfully removed. During his hospital stay, Sam had a number of sexual affairs with his nurses. After the woman went to sleep, Sam would dye her hair brown, curl it, and take a red marker to her face; marking out all of Tex's wounds that had caused her death. The women would wake up, disoriented by their inability to see, until they found that Sam's shirt had been placed over their head. It seems some wounds never heal. Appearance: Five feet, five inches; 160 pounds. Sam gained some weight after the mission, and had let his blonde hair breach the boundaries of his crew-cut. Two comments: Sorry about the long Bio. I felt it necessary to expand Sam from my original Bio from the first BH. I also wanted to include some of the physical and psychological effects of the trip. Also, about the little disclaimer that KotR posted: Let's see who's guilty from the first one, shall we? Severe violence: Most everyone Language: Everyone Sexual Material: KotR, Raiha, Annie, and myself Gross examples of torture: Annie (some of those were awesome posts, by the way. Looking forward to more like the shower scene) and myself Satanic References: Not too sure. A few were in there.
13. You can't be a King fan and not like the Dark Tower series. It's utterly impossible. Though those who say the first one of the series was the best obviously haven't read the newest one.
The beamquake in the the first part of the book was awesome.
The Stand is an awesome book. How King has a way of inter-connecting his books is pretty clever. Most of them have the same bad-guy. I'm reading On Writing, which I've been bugged by people for almost two years to read. I'm still in the autobiography portion of it, which is still very well written.

15. While I am not the most art-savvy person in the entire world; while I don't have any submissions to FanArt; while I don't even draw; I believe I at least have the talent to follow some directions that come with being a Fan Art moderator for theOtaku.com: Fan Art. I believe my non-art savvy mind would be able to: Spot spam, given the proper definition of what spam in art is (scribblings on a fridge by a three-year-old perhaps?) Spot Hentai (self-explanitory) Spot plagiarism (being an Art Mod, you'll be seeing a lot of art, so you'll know if it's being copied) If necessary, freeze accounts (use my frost powers!) Correct spelling/punctuation/grammar (English Nazi!) While I would think you would require a person more in tune with their graphic art side, I hope you keep your options open (not having trouble it seems with all the responses). I would hope we would get some more literature on the job before going out into the world, however. If not, I'll get someone to educate me on the proper art-spam, and so on. I'm about to my year anniversary with the OtakuBoards and myOtaku. I know this doesn't really mean anything, but just might as well say it. Hope you luck in finding a great theOtaku.com: Fan Art Moderator! Do I get points for actually recognizing where the job will take place and what the title is? Edit: Seeing that it's taking a while for you guys to decide, I've been checking out the FanArt section for a while now. Do you guys have a decision now, or what?
16. Wow, you must really not want to leave that computer. Check her myO on that one. I think its extremely funny how the most unlikely companies own products almost unrelated to what they usually sell. Hence: Hallmark cards own a movie studio What? Ok, I know they have the Hallmark channel, but that's not enough. A movie studio. And the fact most people don't know that VH1 is a part of MTV. I find that one funny. Also, 99 cents for water!? Where did you buy that? Here in Kansas a bottle of water runs around 2 bucks! Do you get a rebate, or what?
17. Adam was in his cabin, fresh from his scolding by Lilia. I thought this was going to be a vain attempt to make a real periodical out of the OB, but I'm glad it's just a joke, a very entertaining and well written joke, mind you. I think faN00bOy, using that style of capitolization and creative word condensing, means that he/she is a fan of noob boys. Maybe young noob boys? That is for the public to decide. Hey, I never said I had any answers.

20. OOC: Wow, it's been a while since I've RP'd. I'll have to take some time to warm up. Also, what occurs in this post is not known to the other crew members. It goes on in his mind, and will reveal itself later. Though on my terms. Also, since Skedy's quitting of this RP, I will take over his character. ______________________________________________________________________ Adam stayed sitting as Chubb, Trini, and Van left to check out the medical bay. He kept staring across the room, looking at Lilia. She didn't notice. He had picked up sunglasses that were like a one-way mirror; no one could see his eyes, but he could see them. It was fun, though, some good looking. Adam wouldn't usually do this sort or thing, no, not at all. The voice had told him to. The voice tells him lots of things. It tells him its dreams, his dreams. It tells Adam all that he could have. Lilia looked up. I won't feel it. Nathan put Adam down as Lilia came over to break up the fight. "Boys, stop this. 21. Actually, GSB, LOTR tied with Titanic and some other movie....Das Boot maybe? It's just something I remembered after watching the grammies a while back. Or was it the grammies? Crap, I get all of these awards shows mixed up.
22.
I tryed reading the books, really, I tryed my hardest, but there were just sooo long and boring.[/b']
That statement is actually very true. It's a real chore to read any of Tolkein's books; but when you finish The Lord of the Rings for the first time, it's very rewarding. I'd say I'm a semi-hardcore fan of the books, being one of the people who reads the series once a year. Though now I'm struggling through The Silmarillion, which is almost too confusing. Hell, I have a notebook full of notes and charts so I don't get confused while reading it. I usually read The Silmarillion until my mind hurts and then I switch to something easier, like a Stephen King novel or some book I'm reading for a class.
23. I think I was watching the discovery channel when they had a prediction that life on earth would end before all this happens. Their theory, is by the way the universe is moving, is that some galaxies (including ours) will collide with each other. They expect that a solar system will come into our area and screw up our gravity, causing the two systems to collide. Also, I read something where they said the universe, after a few billion years, either collapses or expands. They believe that this is where the current universe could have been created. All of the matter of the universe mixing and colliding could have made such a large explosion to create an entirely new universe.
24. Hey, thanks. The timing works out just fine. I also like the different color; the white turning into the yellow.
25.
We have similar interests in books, but it just seemed too stereotypical fantasy for me.[/font']
Believe me when I say this: This isin't a stereotypical fantasy. That was King's 'Eyes of the Dragon'. I read a little bit of it, but I didn't hold much interest at that time. If you like those new curse words that you found, I would read some of his other stuff, you'd have some fun finding some of his other 'creations'. I also remember the book that Pere/Father Callahan was in. 'Salem's Lot'.
