Originally posted by ChibiHorsewoman Hey, has anyone considered Kouga anywhere, even tho it's not bloody likely?
Well, if Koga caught Inuyasha with Kagome, he would definitely kill Inuyasha and run away with Kagome in his arms. Koga is very committed to his love, as seen (quite clearly) in the series. I sure that Koga wants Inuyasha to be kill off. He should know that Rumiko would rather kill him off than Inuyasha.

Well, I'd say that it's hard to understand the first time you watch it. The second time around, you know what's going on. So, you understand it after a while. I understood it the first time, but I'm a quick study.

How ironic is it that we are using things pointed in the article for this topic, which is on this site? Since we're using religious symbols, what about the attention toward apples? I don't know why they do that... Is there some biblical point there?
Originally posted by Bandit Joeykuba Oo; But they did let Y. Bakura keep his "I am darkness" line.
I'm quite glad that they did. At least I know that, at last, they let him reveal that.
I loved the new intro as well, except... no Bakura. Or Marik. This saddens me.
No Bakura? Or Marik? That is one rediculous(sp?) shove to them! Afterall, evil people need more credit... *hugs Marik and Bakura plushies*

I've known that. It just sucks that my bedtime is 9:30. -_- I'm glad that I have a five-day weekend. I just hope that other people get to watch it!

Man, I couldn't afford the Trigun manga when I went to Waldenbooks. *looks at pricetag* $15. I had to get the Rurouni Kenshin manga instead. I blame my Shonen Jump for this...

I think it's the "Kagome reluctantly teamed up with Inuyasha" part. If I recall, it was Inuyasha that was reluctant, and Kagome figured, "Well, I guess this is what I have to do," and immediately teamed up with Inuyasha. Now, to get on with the
Kikyo dying
and being resurrected again topic, I think that Rumiko Takahashi would resurrect her again, just to make the series interesting, once again. I think that it would really test Inuyasha's mind.

After that rant, I've decided that I hate children's networks that show anime. They always edit the episodes so they're "appropriate for children." Children are watching murder movies at the age of 5! Ugh, I hate the fact that I can't get the DVD's for animes. There's always the manga...

Oh... Well, I guess that that explains my not liking yaoi that much. I guess "Love and Peace" is a shonen-si, and not yaoi. I guess other people can talk about another subject about yaoi...
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 Ah, but she does want to be with him. That's why she keeps trying to drag him into Hell, instead of simply disposing of him. And think about it. Inuyasha has an enormous soft spot for Kikyo; he doesn't even try to defend himself against her various attacks and advances. If all she truly wished to do was kill him, then she would have done so long ago. ~Dagger~
That's quite true! Here's a question, if she weren't in love with him, then why does she constantly try to take him to her home in Hell? Oh, this is completely hypothetical.

Anime What Anime has the best opening theme?
IloveBebop replied to Lone Bebop's topic in Otaku Central
For the people that watch Yu-gi-oh!, have you ever noticed how the theme song is basically the same every season? Sure, they have different pictures, but the song is the same! -
If yaoi means "pointless," then can't yaoi be made without pornographic things? If yaoi is just a pointless story, then it can be a bit less sexual. That's how I find it.
Originally posted by scrmngfangrl yaoi is NOT pointless. especially hard core. it serves to...i don't know if its allowed and don't know how to sencore, so lets just say it helps with certain pleasures...its like porn...
I'd have to agree with Dagger in saying that most anything that's hardcore is pointless. I also have to say that most porn is pointless. It's just made for pleasure in... those areas... I don't like yaoi for that. I like yaoi for the comedy that most yaoi brings.
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 Let's put this into context. If the love of your life--someone who should rightfully have been your enemy--suddenly decided to mortally wound you..... what would that make you think? "Oh, he/she hasn't betrayed me. It must be a trick!" If Kikyo only needed a person to ease her loneliness, she could have definitely found someone less ornery and emotionally scarred. She was a beautiful young woman of high status; priestess or not, I'm sure quite a few men would have been willing to bend society's rules for her sake. Inuyasha would never have taken comfort from a single demon or human being (not that any would have offered him affection).... except Kikyo. Inuyasha and Kikyo had an incredible natural bond. Their love defied both destiny and the norms of culture. Just because Inuyasha truly loves Kikyo doesn't mean that he can't eventually come to have feelings for Kagome. It's unfair to deny the emotions which govern so many of his decisions, and which have had such a powerful hand in shaping the show's story. ~Dagger~
I have to agree with you on that one, Dagger. You've made several good points here. First of all, why would Kikyo seek Inuyasha, out of all beings, out of loneliness? Many men would be very willing to comfort Kikyo's loneliness. Besides that, the entire village became Kikyo's friends. At least, they cared for her. Secondly, I can understand how Inuyasha is lonely, but why seek a human to better his emotions? I don't think that that came out quite clear, so I'll just spell it out. Why would a hanyou seek comfort from a human? Most creatures with demon in their blood don't care for humans at all. A hanyou's demon parent would care for humans, but that doesn't nessicarily mean that the hanyou will. That's all that I can think of right now, so I'll just leave this to the other people who feel like talking.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka IloveBebop, please do not play mod. Thank you.
Well, sorry for paying attention to the rules. I didn't know that only moderators could play mod. I just wanted to correct that person's mistake. It could happen with me at any time. :modrod: I wish I had the money to get my hands on the Trigun manga. I'm just a poor kid. The Trigun manga (by what I've heard from this and other threads) is very informative.
I think Vincent is supposed to be Sephiroth's father in FFVII

Well... That answers some of my questions, but with the more recent posts, more questions arise. I wouldn't really know, I haven't played that far into FF7 (I played it for only a few minutes at my friend's house some time ago). I'm sure she would know, though. I'll ask her tomorrow at school. Sorry about the off-topicness, even though with our newfound conversation, it's sort of mot off topic.

I've seen a picture with Sephi and Vincent (FF7) kissing. I found it weird and funny at the same time. Vincent/Sephi are most likely one of the weirdest yaoi couples, ever. If you want to find it, just search for Sephiroth in google images. About yaoi being pointless, some yaoi actually does have a point, but with what Soujirou said, that would be wrong, and not really yaoi. So, I guess most yaoi is made as it should be. I also agree that this thread is getting pointless. We keep saying the same things. It's going no where. Right now, I think that this thread should be closed.
Originally posted by PoisonTongue James had suggested Pixar/Disney.
Pixar/Disney would probably be good, but why not have Japanese animators work on this one? Zelda (and all video games) originate from Japan, so they can handle the cartoons about them. Have you read the OOS manga (see the link from my last post)? Link has great dialogue in that series. There are some things that never happened in the game in that manga, but it still has all of the great qualities of the game. I'm in love with it, and I'm going to read the rest of the manga that's on that site.
Originally posted by InuyashasLover That is the the biggest load....And as if a 1-yr-old is gonna remember what they saw on Pokemon anyways. DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Shaman King Are the best shows I've seen. Pretty soon all the mommy's of America are gonna say Barney isn't appropriate for little kids cuz Barney isn't a gentle, leaf eating Dinosaur, he's A T-Rex.....jc...I swear, it's all about "protect the children these days. and partents like that are raising Cry Babies:bawl: and Sissy's:worried: :nervous: who won't see the real world as it is.....That article makes me SICK of all the parents of America that are like that:sick:         TAKE THIS OVER PROTECTIVE PARENTS OF AMERICA:butthead: :butthead:
Wow. *claps* That's really good. What about Sesame Street? That's going to get kids to believe that they can find giant talking animals on the street. There are too many unrealistic shows on TV. I know that they're supposed to educate children, but how is giant talking bird, a weird thing with a TV in its stomach, or a gantle talking T-rex going to eduacate children? Dinosaurs are extinct, and the other two don't exist. These parents are turning into :moron:'s.

Anime Somebody's suing Cartoon Network (FLCL related)
IloveBebop replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by Itami There's such a big lack of good partenting these days it isn't even funny. Parents figure the kids will figure it out themselves, thats why I fear what our generation is going to do when we have one of us as president. But there should be an instant response in kids and adults when they see the words "Adult Swim" Kids should think, "Oh, shouldn't watch this" and change the channel. Parents should say, "Better not let the kids see this." and give them a bed time. In reality though, kid sees it, "Oooooh, cool!" and the adult "Ooooooh, cool!"
Hopefully, our generation will still mature after seeing all this bad stuff on TV. Their generation had bad, violent TV too. Parents should get those V-chip things for their TV's so kids don't watch this. They could also take the TV's out of their rooms so they don't have the opportunity to watch these late-night shows. The adult that responds "Oooooh, cool!" and has children, should send their children to their rooms if it's inappropriate for them. An example of this, is when South Park comes on, or if a single parent turns on a porn tape (I know that that's way out of proportion). They should know what right and wrong for children. -
Originally posted by Rasberry Vash the stampede is amazing
Rasberry, try to put some more efforts into your posts. You're supposed to explain why you think something or not. This is an example of spam, and it should be deleted. Vash the Stampede is amazing. He is like a super-intelligent guy (he can do really hard math and change tragectories in his head). He also has supreme accuracy and a gun arm. That combination is pretty hard to beat. The fact that
he's a plant that was given human characteristcs
makes him a lot more amazing.

That is true. I guess there is no real point to yaoi. There are some exceptions to this, however. Like when the characters are actually given reasons to do what they do. Not all sexual situations are like porn. Once again, yaoi is not real. If you don't like it, don't bother to look for it or at it. Just remember that it's fan fiction, not manga created by the creators (I just realized that that sounds a little weird).
-
Aoshi/Sojiro? That's a little weird, in my opinion. They're different from my small preference. I haven't been able to see that many episodes. I had a busy schedule during the time when most of the middle episodes came on. To get on topic, yaoi isn't real. If you don't like it, then don't even pay attention to it. It's be stupid if you are a homophobe and you read it. I'm not trying to give offense, I'm just giving an example. Some people question why yaoi even exists (I don't). Everyone's opinion of yaoi is different. You can question them, but they won't change it. No one but the person can change the person's opinion.
-
Sorry, it's just that I don't like to hear about other people's problems. What I really don't want to hear is discrimination on yaoi pairings and the people who created them. It's not really our (or the creators of these shows) decision. That's just my opinion.
-
They may be untruthful, but it doesn't really matter if anyone likes them or not. It's what the fans that created them believe that really counts. No matter how many complaints they recieve, they're still going to believe that these couples can come to be. Like Milliefan, I'm not going to be on a side. It already sucks that poeple don't like them, but I don't want to hear your arguements on the subject.
