Liam rose up to protest and babble inconsequential questions. Jaudiar sighed and stroked the side of his neck. ?You don?t listen do you?? she muttered softly, and pressed a pressure point. Liam fell back to the bed unconscious. ~~~ Liam settled into a painful sleep. As the drugs wore off, his suppressed memories filed back. His mind burned and he tossed and turned, as each painful mission was experienced again in full colour, gory, detail. Hours later, Liam rose from his bed. His eyes were back to their alert and wary state, but a fire was back inside. Liam pulled the hear rate monitors off his chest and threw the covers off, proceeding to change. Five minutes later he was marching through the corridors of the Intensive Care Unit. Much to the nurse?s surprise, he checked himself out and left the building under his own steam. Fifteen more minutes later he was at the SYF headquarters. He waved to the security in the lobby and entered his access card and PIN. Nothing happened and his card was spat out in tatters. Liam turned around, the two security guards rose and walked towards him, one had handcuffs. ?I?m sorry Li- ?.kid, but I?m going to have to take you under arrest, you?ve just entered a stolen card.? The security guard waited until a tour group was out of ear shot and whispered, ?Liam big problems, something is seriously wrong, the Commander has just been told that you are to be placed under arrest immediately. Sorry kid, but you?ve got to come with us, it?s just orders.? Liam nodded slowly. He knew the guard, his parents had been good friends with his wife and kids?he?d even played with the kids when he was little?he wouldn?t lie?something was wrong, seriously wrong? The cool heavy hand cuffs were placed on Liam?s wrists and he was lead out of the lobby.

Yes I would. That's my decision now, however I don't know when the situation actually arises. My understanding of the human psychosis under stress is a rather hazy one... But yes, yes I would.

The women waited. Soon the chemicals would wear off and hopefully Liam would wake up as the same old Liam. But that all depended on how much damage the drugs had done? Liam stirred slightly. His eyelids flicked open and he rose sluggishly, as though in water. He held his head and glanced at Jaudiar. ?Hello again gorgeous,? he said cheerily, ?so any news on my sister?I tell you what, I?ve got the biggest headache?ouch, and the weirdest dreams, I tell ya. Since when had I been in the field long enough to get a custom weapon?? He chuckled. ?Parachuting, weapon dismantling, the whole kit and caboodle.? Jaudiar and Siren were silent. Liam?s cheery nature was almost frightening. So this is what he looked like before four years of missions got to him? Liam continued grinning. ?So what?s the goss?? Still no response, his nature was slightly overwhelming?that voice, it was practically drowning in ?happy.? Liam raised an eyebrow, ?Uh?can you put your eyes back in? You?re freaking me out now.? Liam noticed the absence of the drip in his arm, the incision had a spot of blood on it and remnants of tape around it. He noticed the drip hanging useless by the IV bag. ?What the?what?s going on??

Rinalph stuffed a handful of grapes into his mouth when he felt Jenica wasn't watching. 'Rinalph! I saw that.' Jenica said suspicously. 'Face me, now' Rinalph chewed furiously and swallowed half of what was in his mouth. He faced Jenica, face on of innocence. 'Whaaat?' He said thickly, mouth half filled with grapes. 'Look, if you keep eating those, there won't be any left for the rest of those.' Rinalph looked sheepish. He was trying to resist eating the grapes, he really was...but, he couldn't. Something about the smell of the grapes was enticing. Nothing in the mines smelt this fresh, sweet and bitter at the same time... They were irresistable and he couldn't help himself. Rinalph swallowed, and coughed. 'Sorry Jenica...' 'Just don't let it happen again, other wise we'll never get done..' Rinalph eyed a fresh, unpicked bunch of grapes on the vine. He grinned and slowly eased them off the vine. In one swift movement, he had them stuffed into his mouth and Jenica was none the wiser. 'RINALPH!' Rinalph coughed in surprise. He was in the middle of swallowing the remainder of the grapes when he did. He choked. Jenica stood in front of him, basket in one hand and the other hand on her hip. 'Look, I'm warning you, seriously. If you don't stop eating those- eh, you're turning red...are you ok?' Rinalph had both hands on his throat, spluttering and coughing. 'Oh..' Jenica put down the basket and put him in the heimlich manouvere. Rinalph coughed and felt suddenly sick when she pulled hard on his stomach. He continued coughing. Siren watched the comic hijinx below with great amusement. 'He can't keep himself out of trouble can he? He's like a fish out of water.' Siren chuckled as Rinalph fell wheezing to the ground. The offending grape. Jenica picked up the basket and shook her head. Rinalph lay on his back, breathing deeply, a healthy pallor returned to his face.

Liam?s eyes cracked open slowly. The hospital equipment around him gave him a fright, but his memory settled back into focus. ?The accident?.ooooo?..my head?? Liam raised a hand and rubbed his head, noticing the drip inserted in his arm. He winced. All his memories were a painful blur. Some of them didn?t make any sense at all, like the strange Spanish guy?and the whip?the room swirled again. ?Ow?? Liam glanced over at the girl dozing in the chair beside the bed. ?Who the heck are you?? She continued dozing, must?ve been awake for a long time? ?Hey gorgeous! Hello?? he said, much louder this time. She stirred and rose her head from her hand. She seemed awfully glad to see him, but Liam couldn?t place her face to a name?her face rang a bell, something told him she was important to him?but he didn?t know why? ?Good, you?re awake then. Feeling alright?? She said warmly. Liam looked confused. ?Do I know you??? He muttered slowly. ?For another?where am I? Is my sis ok?? Jaudiar?s face fell. He couldn?t remember anything, he still thought his sister was alive?totally clueless to the fact he killed her? ?I?m sorry, I?ve really got to go?? Jaudiar rose slowly and left the room, familiar of pinpricks in the corner of her eyes. The door closed softly behind her. Liam looked very, very confused. He raised a hand slowly to his head, he flinched as it strayed across stitches. The room darkened rapidly and he fainted from over exertion.

Personally I think Madam Thingymajig sounds so much more alluring... lol

Wierd yet uniqe things about yourself
liamc2 replied to SaiyanPrincessX's topic in General Discussion
The interesting and weird thing about me is that compared to everyone here I'm incredibly, utterly, 100% boring. o.O; I'm serious. After reading all this, all my supposed quirks seem to have vanished and I can't for the life of me remember them. It's rather depressing really... *thinks* Well...I'm 15 and I'm writing my own novel to use it to hopefully help me to pay my way through uni. Does that count? *watches a sea of hands rise and say they have already written their own novels* -
Technically, Hagrid still does. After all, in TGOF he and Madame Thingymajig were sent as emissaries to the giants... About Harry Hermione Ron, etc, I'm not sure whether Hermione will date either of them...I'm going to reserve judgement...

Yes we tend to be original here. Groups change depending on the school and even the age. For instance, I was talking to Mum about this, (Dad jokingly believes he should do his Psychology masters on the grouping of Teenagers and their sociological habits  ) Liam Letsee now, you have your A-crowders, the Nerd Herd, hmmm, oh yeah, and the skegs. Mum Skegs? That term is still around? When I was at highschool my friends and I were the skegs. Liam .... o.o; Whaaaat? You rode a skateboard? You can't even ride a bike! Mum No no no, we were skegs because we hung out on the beach. We were the beach bums. Liam Ah yes, that makes perfect sense...

The heart rate monitor let out another beep. The nurse took a glance at it. It was disturbingly slow. In the space between blips, all eyes were on it, fearing the worst. But then, miraculously, it blipped again and Liam?s heart pumped more blood around his system. She passed another instrument to the surgeon beside her. The operation had been gruelling one. Some complications had arisen, but they had been fixed and as far as they could tell, all was in working order. Three shifts of surgeons had been cycled through, as well as nurses and an anaesthetist. The surgeon finished. ?He?s going to have a nasty scar there,? He muttered into the unnatural silence, ?but he?s going to live. It looks like we righted the problem without doing much damage?but I fear his short term memory is going to be shot for a couple of weeks, but that?s only if he?s lucky.? The nurse nodded and moved him out of the operating theatre. Liam would be in the Intensive Care Unit for a month or two. He?d be conscious in a day or two, a couple of hours if he was really lucky?either way, they?d be monitoring his life signs until he was well enough to walk. ?Poor guy,? the nurse said the ICU nurse on duty, ?run over by a police car while trying to cross the street near that fire last night. Almost didn?t have a chance.?

Types of groups, interesting. Well let us see then shall we? Rednecks: Well basically you have the good with the bad. They do have their good moments and can be worth a conversation. Nerd Herd: Ah, now this is the best group to be in. The smart, intelligent and witty people hang out here. Sometimes is forced to migrate due to weather and predatory actions of the Rednecks, but otherwise, hangs out in the same place. The A-CrowdersAh, here we go. This is where the monobrowed rugby types and the air heads come into play. But, there is an odd sprinkling of normal people in this massive group. This basically where all the people without a clique are thrown in. Peer Pressure or something. People I don't know where to put... Hm..well we sit on the front lawns, far, far away from the other groups. The Front lawns are basically where a jumble of grades sit during their lunch breaks. Usually Redneck free. But we do have our little plagues every now and again...

Liam nodded slowly. His head had started to hurt, badly, after his painful encounter with the brute Jeorge. He rubbed it and walked out of the room sluggishly, tripping over the corpses as he went. Ananda raised an eyebrow and gave a ?how often does that happen? look to the others. No response came so she shrugged and began chatting to Jaudiar, catching up somewhat on what she?d been up to these past years. Liam climbed up the service ladder of the elevator shaft. Soon the basement level was merely a pinprick of light far below, at the bottom of the deep shaft. Liam continued onwards, vaguely aware of what was going on around him. He reached his respective level and climbed out through the open doors. Without a word he unlocked his apartment door and flopped down on his bed. His head was pounding now, driving the anvil chorus deep into his mind. He exhaled and the ceiling swirled, re-arranging itself before his eyes. A face formed, Pizaro?s, it mocked him, told him of his sister, told him how easily she cracked under Nicholas?s advances. Nicholas?s image appeared beside his fathers and dropped easily to the floor. He too, laughed at him. Liam?s mind burned, his anger flared and he leapt at the taunting images?Nicholas stepped nimbly aside. Every swing, kick and punch Liam threw, Nicholas was always one step ahead. On the balcony, a Pigeon cocked its head at the odd human inside. The pigeon sidestepped to get a better look. This odd boy was taking wild, no, they seemed to be directed at something specific, albeit nonexistent. The pigeon ruffled it?s feathers, cooed and dropped off the balcony, soaring into the sky. Liam wheezed, wiping the sweat off his brow. Nicholas walked forward, his father stood beside him. They both laughed at him. Nicholas raised Liam?s chin, ?Dare to follow us boy?? His laughed chilled Liam?s bones, ?we know your ruse. We know that Jenna is merely the one you call ?Rae.? We know of her other name too?her real name.? Liam threw his head forward in a way that would have dealt an unnerving blow. Nicholas vanished to the side. Liam fell forward with momentum, landing on his hands and knees. Pizaro and Nicholas laughed, opened his apartment door and closing it behind them. Liam rose slowly from his knees. His fists were bleeding and all his joints were aching. He shuddered and held his head with one hand, as though trying to dull the fire that roared inside. Liam shook his head and ripped the door open, charging outside. This time he wasn?t going to let Pizaro and Nicholas escape?this time lethal force was necessary. He unholstered his Desert Eagle and charged through the corridors, brushing aside people going about restoring the SYF to running standards. Liam ran around another corner. Pizaro was there, beckoning him forward. Liam let out a mangled cry of fury and leapt at him. This time he pinned him down and placed the gun firmly against his head. ?Where is he?? Liam shouted, his face was covered in sweat, eyes darting to and fro. No response came from Pizaro. Liam dug the gun in further. ?I?m not messing around Pizaro. I?m asking you now, where is he?? Still no response came. Liam?s head throbbed, he winced and shook his head. The Pizaro grinned. The pin dropped in the Desert Eagle. At the sound of the shot, the whole world leapt back into focus. Liam glanced down at the terrified janitor he had in his hands. There was a massive black burn and hole in the carpet, centimetres from the janitors head. Smoke rose from it and Liam?s gun. Liam turned around, stunned. He was aware of the screaming now. The horrible, mind numbing screaming. Secretaries and officials stood stunned and what had happened. Liam dropped the pistol and clutched his head at the pain beyond pain. Bile rose in his throat and the room swam. Liam fell forward, unconscious. ----- ?Do you have any idea how close we came to Liam killing everyone in the office?? The Commander shrank back slightly. He had sat under a furious tirade of insults and vehement threats from his superiors. Good thing they were in other states. A knock came at the door. The Commander waved the timid doctor in. ?Yes, what is it?? The images of three official looking people hung in their video conference windows behind him, angry even more at this intrusion. The doctor pulled out two full colour catscans. ?Well?uh?that is sir?we?ve found out what the matter is with Liam.? ?He?s unbalanced!? Shouted one of the officials on the video conference, ?we need him locked up now! Before there?s a fatality!? The Commander closed the video conference. ?Well?? he said. The doctor pulled up on the cat scans. ?See this image of the brain here?? he pointed it out to the Commander, ?that?s a normal functioning mind.? ?Yes, I see.? Said the Commander. The doctor pulled up the other, it was alarmingly different, blood could be seen pooling around the back part of the brain. ?This one is Liam?s. As you can see, that fight with Nicholas?s man Jeorge caused an already unstable brain region, thanks to stress, to bleed. It caused extreme unbalance of his psychosis, and an extreme form of paranoia and schizophrenia. We?re going to have to release some of the fluid soon sir, or it will be permanent?? The Commander looked pensive. ?Fine?? he sighed, ?operate. I want the best on the case. Classify the wound as?uh?some form of car accident. Fabricate it to the press. You know, that sort of thing.? The doctor nodded and backed out of the room.

Dead or Alive Beach volleyball? Puh-leeze This is almost as sad as that 'BMX XXX' (actually, I don't think its humanly possible to create another game as sad as 'BMX XXX' ...welll maybe it is...but you're going to need a lot of black magic and a couple of sacrificial bovines...lol) What is with it with game companies these days?

I am so running out to buy this thing. I mean, how totally, like, cool is it? I mean, wouldn't it be like, an awesome match to my black Ps2, black TV and almost black VCR? I mean, like, that controller and box, doesn't it look super? It looks exactly like what you'd get when you crossed a Ps2 with an X-Box. Like, totally cool! ---- a-hem That stupid little Flash object is drilling its way directly into my head ache. The voice is extremely annoying, and it makes me want to hunt this company down and eat them. The Phantom has overstepped the fine line between 'Game Console' and 'Glorified Computer Plugged into TV' The X-Box is nice and snug at the moment. Did I mention I wanted to repeatedly bash the voice over guy over the head with this...this...'Phantom?' It sounds like they're trying to make it 'cool' and 'exciting.' Except only they're failing miserably. Did I mention how, very, very, much I want to see the voice over guy roasting in a spit? Hellooo cheap knock-off. Splash a little green on the box and you have an X-Box. Just modify the controller, ever so slightly, and you have a Ps2 controller. When this is 'released' I am so totally roasting marshmellows over it's corpse when it crashes and burns. Wait...aren't I supposed to say nice things? Hmm Yes. The site is pretty.

Liam sighed and rolled over onto his back, dropping his weapons. Granting himself some reprieve in the form of a wheeze, he leapt up to a standing position. Liam glanced around at Nicholas?s guards, all were slotting in new cartridges for their rifles. ?Well,? he said as he raised the MS1, ?she may have made a promise, but I sure as hell didn?t.? Liam held the trigger and gave one fell swipe in the direction of the hapless mercenaries. All fifty rounds exited at the speed of five hundred rounds per second. The cartridge of the MS1 ejected and clattered on the ground, a faint wisp of smoke in the air. Liam may have received great satisfaction from seeing the mercenaries fall while holding bleeding parts of their bodies, but he didn?t show it. He slotted a new cartridge in the MS1, his lip curled slightly in amusement at the sight of fifty odd bullets embedded in the round concrete walls. Rae slipped a deceased guard off her shoulder. ?Some warning would have been nice,? she muttered. The guard had taken a bullet to the head while still holding Rae firmly by the arm. Nicholas glanced at Rae, eyes wide. ?Jenna,? he muttered, ?¿Qué ha hecho usted? ¡Usted ha abandonado su hermano y a su padre!?* Rae shrugged, ?Tengo no padre ni a hermano, el SYF me libertó. ¡Lo que es más importante, Ryan me libertó!? A manic glint was in her eye as she said this, Nicholas hung his head low. Rae spoke with a flawless Spanish accent. Liam raised an eyebrow at the conversation. Nicholas was starting to doubt whether Rae was his sister Jenna, or not. Good thing Rae had learnt Spanish well? * ?What have you done? You have abandoned your brother and your father!? * ?I have no father or brother, the SYF freed me. More importantly, Ryan freed me.?

Whoops, sorry. I didn't mean to be arrogant/nit picky

Rinalph rose to his feet. Whatever had hit him had hit him hard and well. He removed his armour. The blow had left it constricting and metal jags cutting into the new wound. He prised it off and tossed it to one side. For good measure he threw the helmet next to it. All that was left of his ancient armour was from the waist down. Feeling much better, Rinalph picked up his sword from where it had fallen and sheathed it. The conversation seemed much more interesting now that he was standing. The flow of his black orcish blood stemmed and stuck to his cotton shirt.

There isn't really any point in basing a relationship on looks... I mean...imagine spending a lifetime with someone who's looks with only fade and all your conversations are based upon are 'how attractive am I? Rate me on a scale from one to ten!' It doesn't seem very interesting to me. Bah. What would I know? *wanders off into his own little neat corner of oblivion*

Liam shot Rae a withering glance. Rae ignored it. Liam snatched a hand on his coat and dragged the bulky item towards him. Nicholas and his guards remained oblivious. Liam glanced at the guards. Where the hell had they come from? He glanced out the door at the sentry cannon emplacement and at the blood stained walls and corpses. There was something seriously fishy going on here. He could smell a rat. This was almost exactly like what happened a year ago. ?Hurry up, hurry up!? Nicholas barked at one of his mercenaries who had an oxygen torch set up. ?Start carving up that door. The sooner we get out the better!? Liam grinned. There was a lockdown button on the sentry cannon. A mechanical lock down button. Right now there were three steel doors between Pizaro and his son. The torch started up and sparks started flying. Nicholas glanced at Ananda and Siren. He waved one of his men to his side. ?Kill the two girls, we don?t need them. While you?re doing that I?ll remove this pitiful excuse of an agent that?s lying at my feet.? Liam cleared his throat. Nicholas looked down. Liam had both the MS1 and his Desert Eagle placed against Nicholas?s kneecaps. Nicholas lowered his PP7 at Liam's head Liam raised both his guns to a more sensitive region and grinned.

OOC: I'm back. It's mildly disappointing that there was only 2 posts for my two day's absence..ah well. ---- Liam ducked as Jeorge took a swing at him. The cockpit of the sentry cannon had already been demolished by gunfire and was sparking every now and again. Liam paused to see how close he was to his side arms. His black leather long coat was lying crumpled behind Nicholas. Unfortunately, he had paused too long. Jeorge body checked him into the wall like a tonne of bricks. Liam slipped to the floor while muttering ?ow, ow, ow, ow? under his breath. Nicholas applauded. ?Very good Jeorge, now tear him limb from limb and we can open father?s cell door.? Liam slipped through Jeorge?s legs and made a dash for his coat. Nicholas, fearing Liam was running at him, kicked Liam in the stomach. Liam gasped and saw stars. This plan really hadn?t gone well. Nicholas turned around at the sound of movement in the distant elevator shaft. ?Jeorge, check that out.? Nicholas picked up a riot shield from a fallen guard, ?take this too. Might as well use government equipment against the government. There?s irony there, but I can?t quite place my finger on it?? As Jeorge lumbered out of the room, Liam resisted the urge to point out exactly where the irony was and instead focused his attention on his coat, just a metre in front of him.

OOC: Back on the net Monday. Possibly sunday. No promises tho --------- The double doors in front of him shook in their brackets. The sound of automatic fire came through the sound proof barriers. The doors shook again. It sounded like the good guys were winning. A voice sparked over the radio. ?Liam, open the doors! We?re pinned down, we need your butt out here. Wait! grena- The doors rattled again. The radio buzzed static. Liam grunted. The doors slowly opened. Nicholas grinned. The big man Jeorge was at his side and two remaining mercenaries were behind them. Those seven SYF guards had been more trouble than he bargained on. No matter now? The room they entered was dark. Good, the power had been cut. Jeorge?s flashlight strayed over the monster of a sentry cannon hanging inactive in its bracket. Nicholas chuckled, ?good thing at isn?t active eh boys?? The lights flicked on and there was a pneumatic hiss as the sentry cannon swung round to face them. Liam waved jovially from the cockpit. ?Actually, the basement is equipped with its own generator, as well as external power. Say hi to the birdy.? Nicholas raised his arms and began shooting wildly, but to no avail, the thick armour protected the gun as well as Liam inside. Liam?s grip tightened on the stick in his hands. Two ripe melon heads exploded, splattering the walls with their juices and grey matter. The big one and Nicholas were left now. Liam grinned, wave and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened. ?What the hell?? The sentry cannon sagged in it?s bracket. The LCD screens in front of Liam blinked off. Liam swore. Nicholas laughed. ?You see Liam, pride does come before a fall!? Liam raised an eyebrow. ?uh?how does that work?? Nicholas waved a hand. ?Never mind, you would never understand cultured humour.? ?I do, and would. I understand perfectly, it just is you misapplied an old adage and made a fool of yourself, hence me saying ?how does that work?? Nicholas remained cool. He wasn?t going to let this little capitalist brat get in the way of his father. ?Jeorge,? he said, ?kill the boy.? Liam eyed his weapons five metres away. Why oh why did he have to get cocky and unholster them??
-
Liam was sitting against the wall with his head resting on his chest. He?d been down here for nigh on an hour, pangs of boredom hadn?t started to plague him yet. By skilfully recreating images of pistols and other firearms in his mind, he had spent the last fifty minutes pulling them to pieces and cleaning them. Liam sighed. The sound reverberated in the deathly quiet room. Gradually the low hum of the sentry cannon permeated his breath. Liam raised his head, eyes boring a whole in the white concrete ceiling above. ~~~ Nicholas landed softly on the rooftop of the SYF skyscraper. Twenty well equipped veteran mercenaries had already gathered behind him. The man Jeorge cut the steel cable they had used to access the roof. It fell away into the fading daylight. Jeorge resumed is position beside Nicholas. The twenty-two people standing on the roof faced the apartment complex. Nicholas checked his watch. ?Three?two?one?? The last number uttered was drowned out by a deafening explosion. Glass from the apartment showered the streets below, fire erupted from the gaping hole. Nicholas smiled indulgently. That should be enough of a distraction. A couple of the mercenaries ripped a vent open. Another ran forward an pelted a grenade down the open shaft. An explosion rocked the building but the sound was still deadened by the roaring of the ferocious blaze. Nicholas smiled smugly. All too easy. The mercenaries leapt down the shaft, swiftly followed by Nicholas and his man Jeorge. By the time Nicholas had landed all of the stunned residents of this level were dead. They had not, however, died in vain. One had managed to hit the alarm. Nicholas chuckled. The cameras had been disabled and the fire alarms had been set off. There was no way up here other than though the staircase, which was now being destroyed. Two more explosions rocked the building. The staircase had been taken out. There was no way up to them. Four mercenaries pulled back the elevator doors and slotted locks into position. Jeorge picked off the steel cables of the elevator far below with his sniper rifle. The elevator hit the lowest floor with a loud crash. The above ground SYF security was in complete disarray. Security cameras were non responsive, the electronic locks on the weapon?s cages weren?t opening. All the high-powered weapons were locked away and all the staff were left with only pistols and a limited amount of ammunition. Nicholas knew all of this. He had a friend on the inside. A very good friend that sorted a few things out for him. He smiled to himself and clicked himself to the cable. An odd metallic whir came from the elevator shaft as twenty-two well-armed intruders flew past.
