1. Well, when Father Mc Cormac isn't in a massive debate/conflict with TheUnholyNewt, things do tend to get a bit boring yes. Unless of course he makes a mass generalisation about religion that bothers me and causes me to make some massive statement that silences the class. *cough* I will say no more..go ask TheUnholyNewt if you wish to know more about our exploits lol
2. Yeah, I tend to sketch a heap in ballpoint black pen, hate using pencil...too light and bright, tends not to colour what I want it to colour... *Rate it, whatever, give me your honest opinion, I can take flakk, but be warned...I can throw it just as well
3. There was movement ahead in the corridor, outside Rae?s room. Liam raised an eyebrow and walked forward, realising who the mysterious figure was. ?Ah,? Liam said, ?The man of the hour.? Adam glanced around in confusion and then leant forward to Liam and Craig, ?What? What is it?? Liam smiled, ?We just wanna know what?s going on, Adam. I mean, if this mission was important as the Commander says, he?d want his best,? Liam tried to contain a snort of laughter, giving the impression of a man choking to death, ?as I was saying, best intelligence officer on the job.? Adam?s chest swelled with pride, and collapsed when Liam continued to speak, ?And seeing as you?re still here, he did. Now, that would leave you with the job of briefing us. So Adam, Craig and I here wish to move this, uh, conference forward to...lets say, now.? Adam was silent, he glanced back and forth at the two, images of what they had accomplished sprung to his mind. He suddenly felt slightly ill, but he gulped down the fear in his throat and began to speak. ?On one condition,? he said, ?You don?t tell Rae. I mean, she asked me before, but I didn?t tell her...so yeah.? Liam smirked, ?Ah, didn?t tell sis eh? Well it?s fine by me, I wont tell her anything, as it seems you?re about to tell her.? Adam raised an eyebrow, following Craig and Liam?s glance to Rae?s dorm, and Rae standing with her hands on hips, annoyed. Adam paled. ?Right, uh, where should I begin?? Rae answered, ?Where all good stories start, brother. The beginning.? Adam gulped once more before starting, ?Well here it is, you?ve all heard from the commander about the threats, right?? the group nodded the affirmative, ?Well, we?ve traced them. The threats and letter bombs have all been traced to several locations all over the world, owned by what we believe to be a group that split off from the same terrorist faction that caused the fiasco last year.? He nodded at Liam, ?Your sister was, uh, I mean, that is, she is investigating one of the leads in Cambodia with a crack team of S.A.S.? Liam obviously wasn?t impressed. ?How long ago did you lose contact?? Adam shook his head, ?Nuh-uh, that?s classified that is.? Liam shook his head, ?Right, classified, always with the bloody classified isn?t it Adam? Remind me if I get back out of this mission to come back and kick you up the ***!? If? A shiver ran through Rae and Craig. Liam was talking about a mission like he?d never come through it, it was a small Freudian slip, but both felt it. Adam continued speaking, ?A few other agents and S.A.S teams, Seals, whatever, depending on their mother country, have been deployed also. Apparently your mission is to track down these agents, find out if they?re alive or not, and then infiltrate these terrorist compounds. Clean and simple.? ?What if the agents are dead?? Craig said. Adam looked taken back, ?Well, uh, I have no idea...probably burn them beyond recognition and bury them somewhere? Again the small cluster was silent. Well, Rae in particular, Craig and Liam nodded. Standard procedure. Rae however was slightly shocked, she knew everything about the SYF procedure, but never thought she?d have to know how to deal with fallen agents when in another country. She sighed and nodded. ?That?s all I know,? Adam said, ?Basically I won?t find out all of the plan until ten minutes before you do. I had a feeling the commander knew what you guys would try to do.? Adam turned and continued down the corridor, leaving the trio to think over what they?d just learned.
4.
Originally posted by AnimeLover I mean we humans aren't barbarians, so why do we have to kill ourselves for nothing?
Note: there you've just technically contradicted yourself. We humans invented the ideal of the barbarian, the title is given to those people who are viewed as uncivilised. Therefore you can call anyone a barbarian because you disagree with their views and ideals. Why do we have to kill ourselves for nothing? Simple. We want stuff. We want to be safe. And the most pathetic thing is that people believe the only way to be safe is by killing lots of people or threatening to do so by carrying or harbouring large weapons. Unfortunately, if we carry weapons, the enemy will be more attracted to our wealth, believing that if it's large enough to need protection, it'll be worth their while. Also, back to the weapon carrying thing, sure, people get killed even when they don't carry arms. Sure, if you carry a weapon, your chances of survival increase, and also decrease at the same time. If the one attacking you notices you have a weapon, they'll feel unsafe, then they'll get a weapon. And once they have a weapon, they'll use it to the extreme to prevent you from using your weapon on them. Just some minor notes...
5. Liam yawned and got out of bed. Hmm, eight AM, seven hours sleep. Seemed he had a new record. He yawned and wandered over to the closet, getting changed into some board-shorts and yet another orange shirt. He tucked the Eagle under his shirt at the back before heading downstairs to the kitchen. He blinked at the blood on the counter and said blankly, ?So that?s still there. Huh. Better clean it up before the whole world knows.? He winked at Craig and walked back up to his room, taking his jacket with him. When he came back downstairs he snatched a bowl and the box of Weet-Bix, noting the image in the corner of the box proclaiming that the ?World Champion Wallabies eat Weet-Bix.? He chuckled. If only they knew. He snatched up his bowl and wandered around the counter and into the lounge, sitting opposite Craig and munching down a few mouthfuls. Craig raised an eyebrow, ?God, you try so hard at the normal teenager look don?t you?? Liam contorted his face into insincere surprise, ?Whatever do you mean Craig? I am a normal teenager.? Siren rolled her eyes behind her drink. Craig couldn?t help but smile, slightly. Liam went back to his bowl, finishing it and taking it back to the kitchen. After sitting back on the couch in the lounge, he checked his watch, eight thirty AM. Still another four hours before they actually got their damn briefing. He sighed and folded his arms, thinking. Then he remembered the gym...could go there...if there was a gym there should be shooting range inside of it...nah...better off just sitting here and enjoying Craig?s company. He glanced over at the silent Craig. Somehow he didn?t think any company was to be enjoyed here...he could always hunt down Adam and forcibly extract the mission information out of him. Sounds good. Liam stood and motioned to leave, Craig raised his head and asked, ?Where might you be going?? Liam smirked, ?Around,? and left the room.
6. Liam snatched her hand on the second swing, eyes still drooping. He yawned and sat up, pushing her off the top of him. ?You know, alarms have been invented for that very reason.? Rae?s face still harboured anger, but her features had softened slightly. She waved the knife under his nose. Liam blinked at the knife, then back at her, then back at the knife. He yawned again. ?Yeah, it?s a knife, that?s great.? he rolled over to sleep again, and then twigged. ?Ah. That knife.? Rae nodded, asking again what he was doing with it, after smacking him with it a few more times before he snatched it away from her. He yawned once more and began to recount the tale of where he?d been up until where he went to bed and tried to get some sleep. ?So what did you did to my grandfather?? she asked quietly. Liam smirked, wickedly, and drew a breath before speaking, ?Well as you most probably know, I have a few friends from ASIO in high places,? Rae nodded, this much was true. ?Anyhow, I thought killing the bastard would just be, well, wrong. So I took one step better. After rigging up the *cough* gas main, setfiretohishouseandnowitsjustateenytinypileofblackenedash? Rae shook her head, ?What?? ?Nothing, nothing...anyhow, back on track. I took the bastard down to the wharf after ringing up this friend of mine. I claimed he was a traitor to the state, handed over some shoeboxes full of that dirty smut to the guy, he gave the nod, and now your grandfather is on an undisclosed island hole filled with daily gasoline baths, malaria and hard labour. Personally I think the revenge was rather delicious...? Rae was silent. Actually she was totally stunned, and remained perfectly still for quite a while. Liam checked his nails while waiting for her to snap out of it. When she had regained her composure, Liam got out of bed and opened the safe hidden inside his closet. Rae couldn?t help but notice the bundles of cash hidden inside it, she heard some agents made more money than they knew what to do with it, but this was ridiculous! Liam noticed her new startled gaze, and ow it was fixed on the cash. He laughed and said, ?Its not Australian see?? he flicked some notes under her face, ?All of the stuff in the safe is worth about fifty bucks, the currency is from godforsaken hole of a country I had to visit, and I?ve still got this rubbish four years later.? Rae did the math. If he?s sixteen now, that meant he was only twelve when he went on that mission. She shook her head, way too many confusing things rushing around in her head now...When she looked up again, Liam had in his hands a pile of tapes and the shoebox with her initials on it. Rae could guess what was in it, ?You, you didn?t open it did you?? Liam shook his head, ?No, I had the strong impression that it would be inappropriate to investigate the contents of the box.? He pressed the items into her arms when she tried to avoid taking them. ?Take the stupid things, burn them, whatever. Just get over this boundary or it?ll be riding on your back for the rest of your life.? Liam fished the knife from his pocket, ?Don?t forget this.? Rae took the knife, feeling it?s cold weight in her palm. A spark in her memory reminded her of the blood soaked bandages. She paused and gazed at his bandaged arm. Liam looked at her, at his arm and at the knife, trying to formulate words to make a reply. A major relapse for him, first, allowing himself to be taken by surprise, asleep none the less, and now without an impassive face and impressive vocabulary. He sighed. ?You left out the bit where he stabbed you in the arm. I had the feeling you couldn?t have subdued him just by knocking on his door.? Liam said nothing, face deadpan. ?Yeah, four times in the arm, severed a few tendons, had to get a few tetanus shots as well, but I?ve had worse. Like a whole magazine to the chest at point blank range, Kevlar vests don?t stop the force you know, six broken ribs.? Liam was silent again, on top of all things he had had a proper conversation, now he was really falling to bits... Rae chuckled and stood, taking the tapes and shoebox with her, pausing only at the door to say goodnight. Liam replied with sarcastic indignation, ?Next time wait until I?ve had my beauty sleep!? and laughed as she walked down the stairs. ?Well that just threw my file on him out the window? she though as she walked down to the kitchen.
7. Liam gunned the engine and flew out of the crescent, the sound of far off sirens on his mind. He jabbed the GPS, two blue blinking dots appeared on the map, two streets over and heading the way he came. Liam smiled and took a hard left, no small satisfaction came from hearing a grunt of muffled pain sound from the boot. Well, he hadn?t sunk below the guy?s level in some respects...but in others, he was way below it. And he liked it. ---- 12:00 PM Liam parked the STI and wandered back into the HQ dead tired, he ignored the questions from the guard and instead waved him off and headed to the dorm. His arm was slowly letting up on the bleeding, he hardly needed to change the bandages on the way back, but the pain was worth it. He slipped off his jacket and chucked it onto the counter when he entered the kitchen, heading towards the sink. He rolled back his once white, now crimson, sleeve and slowly peeled back the bandages, masking his face from one of pain to one of distaste. Cold refreshing water washed over the wounds, bloody water rushed down the sink. Liam gently prodded the punctures, one by one, nasty scars would be made there, not to mention it felt like the blade had severed a couple of his tendons. No matter, tendons heal over time. Liam finished wrapping up his arm in new white bandage, heading back upstairs to get changed out of his stained clothes, unfortunately forgetting his long coat, used bandages and the old, now blood spattered, knife in the process. After changing, Liam dumped the shoebox bearing Rae?s initials and the tapes into his private strongbox, Rae would receive them without a word tomorrow to do what she willed with them. Liam slid back into the bed and flicked on the television cradled in the left corner of the ceiling. Win television boasted it?s late night news program, Liam was sorely tempted to change the channel, until he heard the words ?Harvey Bay being spoken. A reporter stood in the centre of the screen, a blazing house behind him, a rather familiar blazing house to be exact. Liam smiled smugly, its amazing how useful a lighter can be when it?s involved with a gas main. By the time the firemen managed to put that out, all they?d get would be a set of scorched dentures and a melted bottle of alcohol. The perfect set up. Or would it be? The reporter turned and talked to a pyjama clad family, flanking the little girl that he?d found in the closet. It seemed that she lived across the street from the dirty bastard, and had gone missing a week ago. The reporter bent down onto one knee and put the microphone in front of the eleven year old. ?Yes, what?s that Lauren?? he said, ?You have something to say?? Liam blanched, what if she mentioned him? He did not need any more exposure, god, sometimes plans screw up so much that you just want to scream bloody murd- Liam stopped his mental berating when the girl spoke, uttering only two words, ?Thankyou.? The reporter looked baffled, and so did the parents, ?Thankyou to who sweetie?? they said. The girl didn?t reply and merely shook her head. Liam?s heart resumed it?s normal beating rate and he turned of the set. He lay there for a while, listening for noises in the dorm, silence. It seemed all had gone to bed...but there were sounds of someone typing, or typing very badly...or trying to type and failing miserably...He sighed. Not now. He needed to sleep...he?d tell Rae next time he saw her, possibly in the morning...unfortunately for his resting cycle it?d be sooner than he thought...
8. Liam stopped the car in front of the small beach cottage, turning off the engine and having one last look at the likeness of the old man. He exited the car and strode briskly up to the front door, bringing his black long coat closer around his shoulders at the cold breeze rising from the ocean. The door echoed the knocks, seemingly amplified a hundred times by the cold, silent, night air. There was sound of a door slamming shut and harsh words being spoken, and then shuffling feet coming to the door. The door creaked open slightly, a beady eye peeked out from the gap behind the chain. ?Whaddya want?? the eye barked. ?It?s six pm, shouldn?t you young?ns be downtown or summat?? Liam smirked, canines showing. ?No, I?m afraid not sir? the old man shuddered, though not at the frosty breeze. Liam continued, ?I?ve come to talk to you about your grand-daughter Rae.? The old man snorted, ?What, ya friend of hers or summat?? Liam chuckled and raised his sunglasses, ?Not quite. More of a work mate really.? The eye was hurriedly withdrawn and the door slammed shut. Liam stepped sideways, not in the least bit miffed. A second later a hole was ripped through the door at head height by two volleys of buckshot. Liam wiped shards of wood off his jacket and waited. Soon a hand was stretched out through the hole, a hand clutching an ancient revolver. Liam snapped out and grabbed the gun wielding arm with his hand, tightening his grip. The old man stumbled slightly out through the remnants of the door and gazed at Liam. ?Sir,? Liam said in a mocking tone, ?It might be wise to relinquish your grip, otherwise I might be forced to break a few fingers.? The old man, terrified, stabbed out with his other free arm, clutching a rusty old knife. Liam winced as the blade pierced his arm and shoulder twice. He held strong however and gritted his teeth, squeezing his grip tighter, the old man fell to his knees as all bones in his hand were broken. The revolver fell to the ground and Liam kicked it aside, and then kicked the man back into the house. He was going to have to move fast, police would be here soon, answering calls from the no doubt distressed neighbours, the last thing Liam needed was to be caught in a siege. The old man shuffled into the corner, weeping pitifully, Liam bent down and plucked up the knife with his punctured arm, he pocketed it and wondered if HQ had tetanus shots in their clinic... His thoughts were broken however when he heard more weeping, softer, childlike. He followed them through the creaking Queenslander and came to a filthy closet. He opened it slowly and found a small, scantily dressed, bleeding child sitting in one corner. Rage boiled inside Liam and he instinctively reached for his Eagle to add a few more orifices to the old man. He sighed. No, he didn?t want to sink to the guys level. Instead he compromised to throwing a large metal bucket at him. Liam bent down and asked the child?s name. She shook her head, eyes full of fear. Liam sighed and looked round, finding an old blanket and draping it around her naked shoulders. As she moved away and sat on the couch, still sobbing softly, Liam noticed a loose floorboard where she was sitting. Intrigued, he lifted it and saw a few grubby shoeboxes and video tapes. ?What do we have here then...? he muttered to himself. Liam lifted all five shoeboxes out of their hovel, surprised to see one had Rae?s initials on it. He opened one of the nearest boxes, and suddenly felt sick, but bubbling over with rage. Inside the box were assorted piles of photo?s of small children, mostly naked...some also were of the old man too, with the children...Liam hurriedly closed the lid. Tempted to throw up, instead he stood and marched over to the old man, and kicked him repeatedly in the ribs until he heard something crack. The old man whimpered more. ?You sick, sick bastard? Liam said ?You?re lucky mate I didn?t open that other shoebox with Rae?s initials on it, otherwise you?d find yourself bleeding from several bullet wounds to the head.? Liam exited the house, carrying the shoebox with Rae?s initials and the video tapes, the other dragging the old man. As he passed the bathroom and one of the bedrooms, he noticed small glass eyes winking at him from the shadows...hidden video cameras...the sick bloody bastard...Liam gave him another kick for good measure and threw him into the boot. Time for a road trip.
9. Liam drummed his fingers on the bench in the kitchen, dressed in his civvies and holding a can of 7up. The other agents gave him odd looks, surprise was unsuccessfully masked, Liam ignored them. Hardened and damaged people don?t always wear black, he, for one, preferred white cargos and a bright orange Quiksilver T. Who cares what they think? It?ll just be another twist they?ll never get their heads around. Liam sighed and wandered over to the television, turning it on with the flick of the remote. The same film clip was on every channel, well, every channel except for the ABC*...which was showing it?s usual array of children?s programming. He sighed and turned it off. So many mistakes, so little time to pick over them. Liam continued through the corridor and up to his dorm room, leaving the door open as he entered, he liked it that way, stopped the room from getting stuffy when he slept, besides, it let sound travel freely. He collapsed onto his bed; taking of his shoulder holster, Desert Eagle, and placing them on the bedside table before turning off the lights. He lay on top of the covers with his eyes open, listening to the movement going on below, the snippets of conversation wafting up the staircase and through his open door. Seclusion, it was what he ordered, what he always seemed to order. He was never much of a ?people? person, his sister was the popular one, taking the spotlight while he kept tabs on her. It was what he did, he preferred to avoid openness, funny really. One could say he lived up to his name, Gaelic for ?Eternal Guardian.? It?s what he was to be, what he wanted to be, what he preferred to be. Eternally. He sighed and rolled over onto his side, facing the Desert Eagle. His eyes caught the engraved initials of ?L.C.? carved into the barrel of the weapon. His sister?s was identical, also bearing her initials, a sort of sibling vow they took out when they entered the academy. The guinea pigs of the program, bets were placed on how long they would last, so far all had been lost as the twins are still going, apart. Liam rolled back and looked into the ceiling, eyes drooping and he drifted off to sleep. ~~~~ Helicopters...unmarked, flying through the jungle...gunfire...lots of it...a nearby chopper crashes, explosion spraying sparks into the sky. A teenage girl sits in the belly of a Chinook, in her hands a silver gun is borne, bearing the initials of ?J.C.? Fatigue garbed men leap from the helicopter, followed by the girl...the chopper crashes. The girl?s parachute opens, but is ripped by machine gun fire from the attacking helicopter...she falls...faster and faster until she lands with a sickening thud on the hard forest floor. Blood drips from the corner of her mouth and the men from her squad lift her up, carrying her deeper into the safe womb of the jungle. ~~~~ Liam awoke with a start, cold sweat blossoming on his forehead. He raises a hand to wipe it away, and his palm catches a drop of blood, leaking from the corner of his mouth... ?So real...? he says, opening his room door fully and marching down the steps as though in a daze, eyes only on the blood caught in his palm. The common room was empty of all life, sounds of conversation though came from one or two rooms. Liam walked up to the kitchen sink and washed the blood off his hand and face. Mind still churning over the dream...the Eagle...the girl...the falling...his sister...Liam slid to his knees, head resting on a kitchen cabinet, silent. Heart crying softly and forlornly...
10. Liam was silent for a while. ?Hmm, I see it pays to lag behind once in a while.? Rae was still shocked, and about to speak, but Liam raised a hand. ?No, don?t talk. I believe we all should have our own scars to bear. Some more prominent than others I believe? He glanced at the scars on Rae?s wrist, who quickly put a hand over them. Adam edged out of the room and into the corridor. Liam began to speak again, ?Couldn?t help but overhear.? the look of discomfort intensified on Rae?s face. ?Wait. I?m not going to say a word to any one about anything I heard. Like I said before, we all need and have our own scars to bear. I for one am not willing to bear my burden, but I?m willing to take yours if you need it. Okay? Good. Now if you?ll excuse me, I?m going to raid the common room fridge...? Rae motioned for him to stop, and he turned to face her. ?Yes?? Rae waved him away, ?No...never mind.? Liam smiled and nodded, first sincere smile in a long time, as a matter of fact, first time he?d smiled since his sister left with black ops to Cambodia... Rae turned and left, walking up to her dorm room, Liam turned and walked into the opposite direction, heading to the noise coming from the common room.
11. Liam remained impassive. He yawned and stood, casually stepping over the body and heading for the vending machine in the corner. After pulling out a can from the machine he marched back to his seat and yet again stepped over the body. The rest of the group was silent. Such disregard for the death of an agent was unthinkable. Liam shrugged his shoulders at their looks of amazement and opened his beverage. ?Serves her right,? he said, ?had it coming to her anyway.? He nodded to the commander. ?You might want to notify her parents, I believe they?re stationed in Brazil at the moment.? The group forced their attention back to the commander, repressing their feelings of shock and outrage while the forensic team entered and carried Elyssa respectfully out of the room. Liam sighed and took a mouthful, very harsh words would be said to him, he knew it for a fact. It didn?t matter though, he needed practice in his conversational skills. He put his can down and adjusted his glasses, noting the entrance of Siren and Niomi through door. Niomi instantly observed the shattered door, in a second her eyes darted around until they rested on Liam in the corner. He smirked and raised his can to her before focusing his attention on the commander. ?Well what you just saw is part of our...predicament. An unknown party is making threats in the form of murdered agents and security guards, and we?ve gathered that the unfortunates have been tortured and placed under the use of truth serum.? He sighed and noted for the lights to be turned off and the minute lightpro on the table to be turned on before he began speaking again. ?The most recent threat, besides the late Elyssa Munroe, has been this tape. For those of you still in the dark about what happened last year, this tape should and will clear any suspicions.? The commander pressed the play button on the remote he was holding. ?The first tape you will be seeing is SYF footage of the aftermath, basically forensic and government files during the cleanup.? The blue screen on the wall jittered and turned black for a few seconds before images began to be played out before them. The front of the school came in to view, crawling with forensic federal police and patches of scorched earth, presumably where the downed blackhawks were. Liam folded his arms and deliberately exhaled noisily, bored out of his mind. The rest of the group ignored him, eyes glued to the projected images of bodies, shells and the still burning blackened wreckage that was Liam?s car and was an apache helicopter. Liam glanced up, instantly his mind replayed the event.... ~~~ The glass window shattered as a spray of bullets tore through and bit into the dashboard. Liam winced as shards bit into his cheek. He strained behind the wheel and spun the car a full circle to face the copter behind him. It banked into a hovering position, taunting him to do something about it. Liam winced again and merely pulled the blood soaked shards out of his cheek. The apache hovered forward, the sound of the hellfire rockets arming echoed around the concrete courtyard. Liam glanced round and his eyes rested on the hidden, covered destruct button, linked to a small amount of detonator semtex hidden beneath the customised WRX one hundred and twenty litre fuel tank. Quite an explosion. The vision blurred and blackened, zooming forward to the deafening explosion and the feeling of being lifted of his feet, flames licking at his heels came to mind. Liam shook his head and snapped out of the trance. ~~~ The commander turned the lights back on when the final tape finished. Most of the group had started to feel ill after seeing the horribly disfigured and bloody figure of the fallen agent blown up to the size of the three metre by three metre projection. Already Adam had left the room twice. Liam shook his head, obviously the guy was in the wrong job. The commander began speaking again, ?That is what happened last time. Obviously we do not want that to happen again, and we?re asking all agents to not use maximum force at any time unless totally necessary,? he spoke the entire sentence while his gaze rested on Liam, who tried to screw up his face into one of innocence. The commander shook his head and resumed speaking, ?All of you are going to have to work as a team on this. No matter where you stand, I want you all knowing each others secrets, hopes, and fears by noon tomorrow.? Questioning glances were shot throughout the room, ?I know this is not your usual practice, but on this case we are going to need you all as strong friends, otherwise this mission will fail.? Liam raised his hand at this, ?Sir, I just have a question. Last year you said the exact same speech, that we?re going to need to know each other or this is going to fail. Hate to break it to you cap, but last years mission failed miserably.? Obviously his words did not place much hope in the minds of those present, the commander shrugged off his words however, ?I want all of you to leave and follow Adam here to your assigned dormitory where you will eat, sleep and socialise until tomorrow. No ifs, no buts, that is where you are going and that is where you are staying until tomorrow at noon. Dismissed.? The commander turned and exited the room, at which Adam stood and asked for all to follow him. Conversation broke out the instant they all were in the corridor. Liam however hung to the back and donned a grim face.
12. Saethi blinked a bit, and a bit more. Summer? Here? He glanced at her again, making sure that this image wasn?t just another torment supplied by his two counterparts. No, still there...so heaven does answer a cry for help... ?There?s a problem Summer...? ?Yeah, yeah two very big nasty-? ?Not them, I can?t control this, they?re controlling this...it?s pretty much all them here. All they need to do is kill me and, well...they can control the body, the only thing I?ve been able to hang onto...? Summer blinked, ?And?? ?I?m getting weaker, you?ve got to get the hell out of here...and kill me. Just get out of here and kill me,? already the two were metres away, seemingly taking their time. Summer glanced at Saethi, at a loss for words. ?Nuh-uh, no way. I came in here for a reason, a-? ?-solution.? Saethi finished. ?There it is. All you have to do is get my body into a furnace, total incineration. That way there won?t be any regrowth or healing. Total nothingness. Its what you?ve got to do Summer, there?s no other way, unless we take down those guys, ?he waved a hand to the two, ?which is never going to happen. Just get the hell out of here, I?ll do my best. Just, just go and do what you have to do...? With that Saethi turned and charged at the beckoning evils. Summer stood immobile, blackness swirling around her. Odd really, it seemed to be lightening in colour, taking a different form even... Summer gazed at the glowing whiteness around her, it seemed to be spreading out, the dark recoiling at it?s embrace. Summer broke out of her trance at the sound of Saethi?s cry of pain. The vampyric Saethi had a hold on his neck, and was slowly sinking his inch long fangs deep into his carotid artery. Saethi slowly crumpled to his knees, feebly shouting for her to go. The demonic Saethi kicked him in the ribs and turned to Summer, voice full of mocking laughter, ?Ya might wanna do that, unless you want ta see your boyfriend become mush eh?? The vampyric Saethi extracted his fangs from Saethi, who slumped to the ground, and laughed trollishly. The demon gave the quivering Saethi another kick for good measure, and the darkness intensified around the trio. Summer clutched her head as a white hot fire droned into her skull, the glow around her receded, Saethi was losing control. ~~~~~ Michela watched as Saethi began convulsing, nerve above Sumer?s eye also twitching slightly, just slightly. ?Uh Tasya,? she said, ?we?ve got a problem.? ~~~~~ Saethi rolled onto his back, it seemed every molecule of his body was screaming out in pain, and it didn?t help that the demon standing above him was kicking him in the pelvis. He vainly tried to roll his eyes in the direction of Summer, only to see a ball of white glowing around her. He managed a sigh, she should have left, couldn?t she tell that he was only an inch from losing control? Couldn?t she tell the extreme pain he was in that...oddly seemed to be floating...away? The white around seemed to intensify, circling around him and repelling the evils, he stood and felt flesh and sinew reform and reshape inside him, broken arm grate back into place. He glanced at Summer who seemed to be smiling, and noted a purple cable that seemed to be snaking its way around her. ?Now I know my mind is messing with me.? he said. ?But if it keeps the bad guys away, its good enough for me.? The vampyric and demonic forms stood defiantly, at least the demonic one did. The vampyric Saethi was shrinking away, terrified to the core. The demon noted this with distaste, ?Coward! Do not run from the frail one and her pathetic torch!? The vampyre shook his head and turned to run, the demon cried out with rage and threw out an arm, catching him by the neck. He brought him to his face, lip curling with anger, ?Weakness...is not tolerated here...? The demon crushed the vampyres skull, instantly his body glowed crimson and absorbed the late vampyre Saethi. The glow faded and the vampyre/demon hybrid stood before them. ?Damn.? exclaimed Summer
13. *arms the villagers* ------ Obviously that came from a person that has never read Artemis Fowl. *sigh* For one thing, it has nothing to do with Harry Potter. Honestly, anything that has any form of magic in it nowdays is instantly classified as a Harry Potter ripoff. *sigh*
14. Liam walked into break room, or rather, stormed into the break room after shooting the door open with his Desert Eagle. He stepped over the threshold without a word, blatantly ignoring Adam?s annoyance coming from the corner. So what if the guy was older? He didn?t give a rats a**, as far as he was concerned, no-one held rank above him, except for his parents. And now they?re dead. In the corner of his eye popped the image of Rae and Siren. He tried to withhold a groan. ?Bloody f****** hell,? Rae glanced up at him and Liam continued, ?that?s it. I can?t stand any more of this.? Rae raised an eyebrow, ?Come now Liam, you can?t say you?re not surprised. I mean, even the thickest agent would have picked that up.? Liam copied her and ejected the empty clip from his pistol. It hit the ground with a clatter, sound making even Siren wince slightly. Liam slid in another clip from a hidden pocket in his jacket before holstering it again. ?Well, seeing as you?re babysitting me, you should know my record. And now thanks to that f****** tape so does everyone else, also, if you don?t drop the act, I?ll be forced to drop this hair trigger here.? Liam tapped his holster while Adam stood behind him, arming his Glock in reply. ?Liam, I don?t care if you?re unstable, you can do whatever the hell you please, but. If you lay one finger on my sis, I will kick your puny a**.? Liam laughed, but no mirth was hidden inside it, instead it was mixed with malice directly from a cold, hardened heart. ?I dare you. I dare you to even try to put a hand on me. You may not be ready to die mate, but I sure am. I?m sick and tired of this world and all the pain that comes with it! So, if you don?t mind me saying so, bring it on.? Adam was at a loss for words. So used to the common conduct, he was speechless and at a loss at what to do, after a moments deliberation, he nodded and un-holstered his weapon. ?Hold it right there, both of you.? The commander entered the room, glaring at all present before setting his gaze on Liam ?Especially you. Liam, holster that weapon now and take a seat.? Liam didn?t move, and returned the cold gaze. ?Now Liam. This is no time for such actions, even you should know that, no matter how tired of this ?routine? you are, you have no excuse.? Liam sighed and grudgingly returned the Eagle to his holster, taking a seat in the shadows on the far side of the room, waving away the setting dust from the fallen door.
15. OOC: Wow, and well done too. Unfortunately I'm a bit overtaxed at the moment -.-, but my writing will pick up by the weekend, I'll be on holidays then. ---- Saethi lay on his back on the cold hard slab in the room. The blood flow from his wound had stopped, leaving the spilt liquid to dry and cause the once white sterile room to take on a macabre scene that could have only come from hell. His eyes twitched as his drug induced stupor fed his already rampant dreams. ?Give it up. You know we?ve won.? A demonic Saethi cackled, waving his thorny arm around the black empty space.... ?Yeah. Besides, you don?t want us to hurt you any more do you?? Another harsh laugh rang out, this time from the vampyric embodiment of Saethi. Around them both the darkness began to swirl and mix, horrific images of death and his past mixed to form a Satanic jumble that caused him to spasm violently. The human Saethi, fallen and bleeding, tried to force a chuckle from his cut lips. ?You don?t scare me...I was here first, and theirs no way I?m going to,? he coughed, forcing his mutinous limbs to stand, ?-to give into the likes of you. I?ll beat you both, and stand above you.? The two evils glanced at each other, both raising an eyebrow before stepping forward and advancing on Saethi, cruel and jagged weapons appearing in their hands. ?Right,? he said, ?lets get this going.?
16. Liam changed gears as the car somewhat slid around the corner. He was silently fuming, mad at himself, mad at his school, and most of all mad at the nagging feeling that the SYF had watchdogs tailing him. The lights ahead blinked red, he drew the car to a halt and started searching the pockets of his spray jacket for his headset. Just as the lights turned green again, he fished out the blue object, placing it somewhat grudgingly on his crown. Instantly a channel opened and a cranky voice roared into his ear. ?Bloody hell Liam! You?re on bloody probation, you?re lucky we got the school to keep you, let alone with your gun! And what do you do to thank us? Leave early and throw it all in our faces! And what do you have to say for yourself huh?? Liam rolled his eyes. ?And a good afternoon to you sir.? The instant the words were spoken, the car screeched to a halt, the engine dieing. Liam gritted his teeth. ?Right. The immobiliser. Great.? The voice over the headset began speaking again, ?Now. Get your head outta your a** and wake up to yourself. You?re on call. That means you?re on my territory now. I don?t want any of your attitude, and nor do I want a cap busted in me. You hear?? Liam sighed. ?Yeah, I do. Now give me back my car.? ?Yessir, now the commander wants you to report to the base. He?s got a squad mission planned for you.? Liam swallowed the mammoth sized lump in his throat. ?No way. You know my stance on that kind of thing since...the event.? ?Big deal kid, not my orders, high commands orders. This time the whole freaking planet?s involved in this mission. Now get your butt over here and we?ll start calling in the rest of the squad. That is, unless you want to pick ?em up yourself. Might give you time to get acquainted.? ?Right,? Liam laughed, ?and where exactly are these multinational secret agents?? ?The place you just left.? ?Ah-huh. Well now the SYF is getting a bit damn repetitive isn?t it? I mean, wouldn?t it be easier to send the greens to a more sheltered environment, away from the heat I?ve created?? ?The reason why they?re at Gryphon College is because of the heat you?ve created.? ?Babysitters?? Liam spluttered, ?you?ve got babysitters on me?? ?Yup, that?s about right.? Liam pulled the car over in the street, silently fuming. Well at least he wasn?t going insane, his maddening suspicions had been ascertained, the SYF had people watching him. All because he threw his stupid student counsellor out the window, so what if he was speaking bloody metaphorically? He asked to be thrown out the window, and Liam was only too happy to oblige. Liam pulled off his headset and threw it on the rally trimmed seat beside him, turning on the small television screen to take his mind off the matter. ?A startling break through in the clouded up terrorist attack on Gryphon College was revealed earlier today when an unknown source supplied video footage to several television stations.? Liam froze, eyes unblinking and focused on the female news reporter. ?This footage shows startling and disturbing images that we recommend for mature viewing.? The reporter vanished and in her place was full colour footage of the school. The image wobbled and panned across to one of the Blackhawk helicopters that Liam had tried so hard to forget. The sound of gunfire rattled the microphone in the camera and it quickly zoomed to the ground below. There, now frozen, was the image of Liam in his desperate attempt at taking down the helicopters with his Desert Eagle. Frozen in motion were discarded shells flying from the side of the gun, his billowing, bloody, school jacket and his easily recognisable features. Liam swore loudly and hit the steering wheel. The camera continued to roll and zoomed in on the other teenage agents running to the scene. It finished with shots of cowering students and the mangled bodies of the terrorists before the newsreader popped back into view. ?A massive search has been undertaken to find this individual and his companions. Our news team reported to the school in question but were turned away at the entrance, we believe there may be a government cover up involved.? ?Oh...sh*t...?
17. Liam sighed and leant back in his seat. The day had been long and boring, physics, then chem, and math....and german.....and english... Such things can be drain on the senses. He glanced up at the clock at the wall, counting down the seconds, 5...4...3....2...1...1...1....1.... Liam felt the nerve twitching on his temple, not now...he could feel every part of his mind screaming at him to snap, to give in. The teacher gave him a sideways glance, eyebrows raising at the irritated nerve, not surprisingly he quickly glanced up at the clock, and sighed with relief as the bell rang out. Liam quickly gathered his books and threw them into his locker down the corridor. Michael: sheesh, you were about to snap then weren't you? You should've let go man, I mean, how hilarious would that be? Not to mention it would bring up the tally of teachers I've seen you throw out the window up to two, and the tally of people I've seen you mangle up to uh...he began counting fingers twelve. Liam glared at Michael, annoyed. Liam: If you speak another word about what happened last year, I am legally bound to kill you. Michael: Sure, sure, whatever, I know you'd never kill your best friend. Besides, the government wouldn't let you... Michaels eyes strayed over to the now exposed Desert Eagle, and the hand reaching for it. Michael: ahem...well....so what are you doing this weekend? Liam: better. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm getting out of this hell hole... Michael: erm..school doesn't finish for another two hours.... Liam slams his locker shut and jangles his car keys in front of Michaels eyes Michael: ok then, well I'll seeya tomorrow then eh? Liam: you're learning quickly.
18. Wow, I never really expected this many people to sign up in such a small amount of time. Well I better get this thing going eh? Ok, sign up is closed until further notice. Well, I'll just post the start of the rpg in the main, and come back to put a link here: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15147
19. OOC: lol, Harlequin is off on cadet camp for a week (numerous guffaws of laughter :p) SO that should give me enough time to tweak and change my chars, so bear with me and the absent Harlequin. ----- Char 1 Locale: Cavernous depths of Earth Name: S'thinay Race: Humanoid elven creature Equipment: two curved shortswords, bronzed armour and helm Bio: Born of an ancient race of people that fled below the surface in the times of lore and legend, S'thinay has grown up in the ancient hand carved cities below the surface, like his fellow bretheren. Trained in the arts of tracking below and above, but his learned thoughts have been passed down from the dawn of time, and obviously out of date. He was out scouting when the turmoil arose, losing two of his party of four. Char 2 Name: Lal'aith Race: Humanoid elven creature Equipment: long blade, same type of bronzed armour as S'thinay Bio: Part of S'thinay's scouting party, she narrowly missed being crushed by falling rock, she and S'thinay are now trapped outside their city with only the bodies of their two fallen compainions to accompany them.
20. SYF: Special Youth Force: Garrotted Threats.. OOC: Well some of you may remember the previous thread ?S.Y.F,? well I?ve decided to do it all again rather than chasing up all the posters in it, after all, if they really want to be in it they can sign up again here. **: Apologies if there are errors, I'm trying as hard as I possibly can, this work experience project is taking a lot out of me Heres a quick run down: Due to the increasing amount of child hostage situations and other classified reasons, branches of the M16, CIA and ASIO have combined to form the SYF. An intelligence agency based on the use of 12+ teenagers for situations where adults cannot enter. The aptly named Special Youth Force is made up entirely of the children of existing adult agents. These children have already been trained in all degrees of weaponry, vehicle and even technical espionage, by their parents. Taking advantage of this, the SYF recruited them, with permission from their parents, and trained them to the extreme. Now, the SYF bureau has a total of one hundred and twenty-one teenage members, some orphaned and some still backed by their parents. But now problems are arising, SYF members are disappearing at an alarming rate, and no-one knows what is going on. Already bullet-bitten bodies have turned up all over the world, covered in marks of torture and placed discretely within the grounds of their respective embassies. So far the alarm hasn?t been raised, but the SYF administrators a becoming worried, and nervous. Threats are turning up in the form of letter bombs and garrotted security guards, and are becoming more common. A list of their best and brightest has been assembled and is about to be implemented, at the next hint of danger. Its been a year since the last mission fiasco, and Liam has just turned sixteen, and still trying to forget the horrors that torment him. His sister is also trying to overcome her own internal demons, and both are trying to deal with the death of their parents. Currently both are attending Gryphon College QLD, the same college that was almost completely destroyed when terrorists attacked and gained control. You know what to do (the setting is Australia so bear with me, the owning of firearms is illegal unless you have a licence, and licence ownership is usually restricted to police, security and farmers. So there :p you get the picture? Good.) Name: Liam Side arm (pistols only.): Desert Eagle 9mm, shoulder holster. Teflon coated armour piercing Trained in (best at/specifically, two choices): Computer espionage, Marksmanship Age: 16 Preferred Vehicle(all SYF agents have been given a special licence, no matter the age): Subaru WRX STI (cough, a new one, seeing as the old one is now in many little charred pieces) Bio: (Continued from above) Liam and his twin sister were introduced to the fact that their parents were secret agents when they were the tender age of twelve. Both of the twins were the original guinea pigs of the SYF and were given extensive training by both their parents and the SYF academy during holidays and weekends. Although Liam was trained in all aspects, he particularly found favour in Computer espionage and Marksmanship. Scarred from the death of on of his team and both his parents in the fiasco a year ago, he has suddenly become silent and reflective, and has already given someone a bed in intensive care. Pity it was the school counsellor. Many of the students of Gryphon College give him a wide berth after seeing him and the other youth agents in action when the school was taken over. Also it might be because they now know that he carries a eleven round Desert Eagle, and have seen him turn people to mush with it. . .
21. OOC: ok, it seems alls well and good in the land of RPGing, I'll post when you're ready Miss Tuscumbia...
22. Hmm, popularity. Well there's not much I can say about my own in real life, I'm really more of a drifter between groups... Aslo I find talking about your own popularity is rather shallow and vain, its more polite to brag for others lol:rolleyes:
23. First of all, I do enjoy a good America bashing as the next person, but aslong as it is well founded. In fact to be precise, very well founded. And so far what I have seen isn't very well founded at all. But that is just my opinion Secondly, my opinion of september 11th is that we shouldn't be celebrating 11/9, it's just an insult to those who died and the family of those that died. There it is, pure and simple. Also, I detested the over saturation of the anniversary of September 11th, ie: the 12 hour straight coverage of 11/9 on practically every channel. It was basically one of those nights where you visit the local video rental store and rent out a few DVD's and videos. Please America, stop waving your damn flag. We get the picture.
24. Hmm, well I don't know about any errors with the DVD playback, to be honest I haven't heard of any errors at all, unless of course I visit American based sites. They must have made a few changes/fixes to the PAL version of the Ps2... One of the good things about delayed product releases :D
25. Now that the demon was gone, so was the bond holding Saethi. He shook his head and glanced around behind, tasting the air, something had been in here. . . He glanced back at Summer and blinked blood out of his eyes. He motioned to wipe his brow with the back of his hand, only succeeding in slashing another wound on it. The blood dripped slowly off his knuckles. Saethi?s eye twitched, little humanity in him wincing with the pain. The wound on his brow gave way for more protective barbs. His body was gradually removing any weakness from his body, what little bare flesh there was bled or was covered by his haggard clothes. Saethi smirked at Summer and raised a fist. Summer brushed aside a loose hair and took a defensive stance. Saethi lashed out, Summer stepped backwards, narrowly avoiding a mortal blow. Blood flicked off his knuckles, landing on Summer?s face and droplets near her mouth. She spat violently, wave of nausea rushing to her head. Saethi swung another fist, puncturing her shoulder. Summer cursed and kicked him in the ribs, Saethi staggered slightly with the force of the blow. New blood shined on barbs protruding from his chest, Summer winced and looked at her bleeding leg, without a weapon she was going to end up mortally wounding herself before he even broke a sweat. . She glanced round the room, snatching up the chair Saethi had been sitting on. She bludgeoned Saethi using as much strength as she could muster. Saethi stumbled forward, broken parts of the chair falling off his shoulders. Summer rubbed her jarred arms, one hand clutching a rudimentary stake. Saethi turned to face her, black eyes glistening hatred. He ran forward and openhandedly slapped her into the wall. Summer cried out in shock and pain while the dust settled, all the while Saethi laughing. Shakily she stood and raised the stake, determined on placing it firmly in his heart. Saethi raised a fist, taunting her forward, as she was about to come within striking range, he stopped. He let out a pain ridden ?Hurk. .? and fell on his knees, large glaive sticking out from between his shoulder blades. Mangus ripped it out, eyes ablaze with a fire of hatred. He stabbed it in again when Saethi rose awkwardly. ?Summer, get the hell out of here.? Summer reluctantly nodded and limped towards him, slapping Saethi with the stake as she passed. Mangus gave a final thrust before helping her out of the room and locking the door behind them. Tasya greeted her with a stern look, ordering a medic to tend to her wounds. ?Lucky for you I came on site just at the right time,? she said, ?What the hell do you think you were doing Summer? You know what that bloody. .creature is capable of!? She sighed and sat on a desk, ?To think, I almost lost you just after I got you. I don?t know. .? Summer sighed and slapped away the medic. A better plan might be needed than that one, the advice given might need to be accepted after all. . .
