The same angry rage boiled again inside him[/i] Athen: *yells out* For freaking petes sake! dont you get it? I've broken your jaw, I've blown off your arm and even tried to kill you! bally hell. .yet you still follow me, totally oblivious to the fact that I freaking dont want you to follow me *sighs and leans on tha wall, waiting for Eps* Eps: :D feel better now? Athen: nope *plants his foot up Eps' behind, sending him head over heels down the steps* now I do :devil: Spyder: *reaches the tops of the steps and watches Eps come to a stop* honestly, you are a psycho b*stard aren't you?:laugh: Athen: yup, but I'm doing it for the good of . . Spyder: the team? [i] The laughter fades out. .and becomes silent, then the demon speaks[/i] "mmm. .your friends are coming. .ah well, their quest will be in vain, no-one escapes the clutches of Nagil. .especially when he's angry" [i]A little glimmer of hope sparks inside Liam's heart, giving him some comfort, but then. .it faded. .this could be another of the demons tricks. .Liam sighed, and willed his body to stand. Something gave him his sapped strength back, he started to walk around, feeling the gory walls for an exit[/i] "eh? what are you doing? No-one has escaped before, especially those that go against Nagil, taking up a new god, a goddess even," the demon spits, "Pity we can't imprison her. .but the others would make handsome trophies. .especially her loved one. ." [i]Liam stops, a well of hatred burst, like lighting a furnace in his mind. It gave him more strength, and he screamed a volley of curses and vows at the demon. Silence fell and the demon shrivelled[/i] Liam: . . .b*stard. .how in heck do I get out of here. . [i]He ran his fingers over the walls, gradually making his way along, all the while the fire burning in his mind. Slowly the passage seemed to go up higher, the demons and spirits kept to themselves, either afraid of him, or plotting and exact revenge Liam remained oblivious, all he wanted to do was ensure the security of his friends. .that and running a blade through the immortal a** of Nagil[/i] Liam: [i]b*stard[/i]

Liam: *sits down* cant say I'm surprised. .my question is, when will you make her one of us? *notices the strange look on Espa and Lupos* no no no. .not the embrace. .too. .weird, I'm talking about biting her, making her atleast 1/2 vampyre. That way she can lead a normal life, and still have vampyric heritage. .not to mention sunlight wont affect her and she'll be able to survive on 'normal' food:)

Athen: D'Arvit one annoying shadow *he unholsters his Sig Sauer and points it at Eps* one word, one word, and I will send you to a place that no-one comes back from, not even masochistic healing creatures such as yourself Eps: . . . . [i]Athen stopped, Eps' scent came through on the winds, swirling around him. Extremely annoyed, he turned around and saw the moving speck that was Eps[/i] Athen: d'Arvit can't he take no for and answer D'ARVIT! [i]Athen lifted his Sig Sauer and took aim, the morning sunlight ran across the barrel[/i] Athen: no matter how powerful you are. .you cant ignore the pain of these home made devils. .:devil: ------- [i]Eps looked up at the odd sparkle on the horizon, blocking out his view of Athen. He heard the sound before the devastator slug took a hunk out of him. Crying out loud, he leapt aside, the teflon coated lead clipped his shoulder, knocking him midair and causing him to spin[/i] Eps: SH*T! *smacks into the ground and looks at the bloody mess that was his arm* sss. .take a while to heal. .*winces* no motor function. . [i]Athen watched it all and smirked, the odd twinkle dropping from the horizon, the speck kept moving closer to its destination[/i]

Athen: *long deliberated pause* No Eps: *walks forward to Athen* Athen: *whips out sig sauer and shortblade, placing them both under his chin* I said no. . [i]Athen withdraws his weapons, turns and walks away. Eps silently follows at a distance. Athen stops and spins around, leaping into the air and colliding his foot against Eps' jawbone with several G's of force behind it[/i] Athen: *lands, foot sitting on Eps' head* dont. ever. sneak. up. on. me. [i]Leaving Eps on the ground, statement ringing in his ears, Athen continued his pace, soon becoming a speck on the horizon[/i] Eps: a simple no would suffice. .:drunk:

Athen leant forward to pick it up, as his fingers touched the cold surface, a long past memory surfaced in his mind. A dark and musty room, he was there, along with Spyder and Harlequin. A figure stood before them, voice wreathed in malice and mystery spoke to them all[/i] ???: we, as you know, have set ourselves against the light bearers, but at a cost. we have lost many from our cause, dead or trapped in their own minds. To stop their great plague we have assigned three members to take down the light bearers leaders. [i]The figure motioned for Spyder, Harlequin and Athen to come forward[/i] ???: each take the blade and recite your vow, Athen. . [i]Athen leant forward, took the Obsidian blade and spoke[/i] Athen: with this knife I vow to cut short the breath of the Leader of of the Lightbearers, Sellum. But if I fail, let the breath be cut short be my own [i]Athen gripped the blade and sliced from his wrist to his elbow, letting it bleed onto the blade, letting it taste what it would drink in failure[/i] ________________________________ [i]The room snapped out of focus as Athen was brought back to reality[/i] Athen: too much time has been wasted here....*he sheathes the blade* we must move on... Valiegh: *walks into the room* what was that? Athen: nothing, just talking to the spirits [i]Athen smiled, Valiegh felt she wouldn't be surprised it fangs sprang from his gums at that moment. But it was fleeting, it vanished as Athen left the room and Rico walked in[/i]

Blood leaked from the wound, mixing with the tears that were now flowing freely[/i] [i]A sneering voice rings out[/i] "Whatever happened to the once mighty chosen one of nagil? Pain was nothing to you," the voice laughs, "you did not fear death, now you are reduced to a sobbing wreck. .pitiful really. ." Liam: Demon! Why do thou persecutest me? I have no strife with thee! Leave me in my sorrow, leave me be! ???: ah, temper temper. .strife you have naught, but your pain and fear feeds me well Liam: *looks down, away from the voice, even though the blackness leaves him seeing naught* demon, plague me not. .leave me be. . [i]The same cold, mocking laughter rings out again as Liam crawls into a tight ball, shivering as the pain racks him and the blood leaves him[/i]

[i]Athen chuckled, despite the death stare he recieved from Eps. Smirking back at him, he proceeded to remove his highwayman coat and unsheathe the blades hidden in its folds[/i] Athen: *unsheathes a pair of kama's (shortswords)* polishing is in order for my old friends I'd have to say :smirk: *Eps sighs and walks out of the room, grumbling something about lunatics* Athen: suit yourself *continues polishing*

[i]Liam looks down at Rena now gurgling happily in his arms. Raising one surprised eyebrow at her, he reached for her bottle, gave it her and lay her on the couch before walking into the kitchen[/i] Siren: *looks at Liam* didn't Espa ask you to look after Rena? Liam: in a way yes, I'm sure you can manage, after all. .some of us haven't eaten yet. .:demon:
