I don't know if it's all the directory threads or just the anime directory one, but I was looking for a One Piece thread so I headed in there and the link lead me to the incorrect topic. I clicked around on a number of titles and none of them go to the correct threads. I'm guessing some sort of update went down and the topic numbers have changed. Not a big deal, but I just thought I'd let you guys know.
blasphemy*
The problem is obviously just your poor taste, because Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is a goddamn masterpiece. If this doesn't make you laugh you might as well give up on life now, cause trust me, theres no point... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7P1z28mCwI

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. More than comfort. Inspiration to live. Inspiration to achieve. Inspiration to reach for greatness. I've gone through a few rough patches in the past couple years, but no matter how bad I'm feeling the first few episodes of Lagann give me courage and hope like no other piece of media or art ever has. It's really something special.

Do you guys know where any sailors hang out?
I think the high-schoolers in the apartment directly above my bedroom are playing DDR. My walls, ceiling, and windows are all shaking. I don't really want to knock and complain, because they're in high school, it's only 10pm, and it's a Saturday night. . . but darn it all, I am a cranky old spinster and I want some peace and quiet.
For future reference, don't go knocking on their door. If they're above you the solution is to tap your ceiling with a broom. International symbol for "quiet please".

At the moment I'm listening to Drake's "The Winner", that's supposedly a leak from his upcoming debut LP. This kid catches a lot of hate for the simple fact he used to act on a teen show. I don't really get this at all, because 90% of rappers that become successful immediately begin acting. I guess it's only cool to do in a certain order? Anyway, I've dug Drake for a while now I'm glad to see him getting this level of success. However you feel about him, you can't deny he always comes with the lyrics and doesn't pretend to be something he isn't.
I don't get it.
Sadly enough I didn't get it at first. My reaction was:  The guy he quoted! Y'see his custom title says that he's the most... Ohhhhhhhhh.

Sadly enough making love in a dumpster isn't so uncommon. Well, making love IN the dumpster is, but I know quite a few young ladies who have stooped as low to have sex behind dumpsters. Plus in cars, on the sides of houses, stairwells, the library for christ's sake. Personally, I've only done the deed on my bed, and someone else's floor. Perhaps I'm not adventourus enough? ...Or do I just have self-control? Anyway, no matter where one was making love it would be might unpleasant to be robbed. From one of the greatest pleasures in life, to losing your valuables and dignity. Weaksauce.
Even if I would, it wouldn't be as ridiculous as your tone and your roll-eyes emoticon.
Don't hate.
Just take a gander at Boo's current signature and quote: I, Colossus. Boo's are not to be taken seriously, ever. =P
Haha, I see that now. :animeswea

It'd be nearly impossible for me to choose one artist above the rest. I used to be obsessed with rankings/lists/ratings etc. etc. But I got over that and learned just to enjoy what I enjoy not put too much thought into what's better than what. There are a few musical artists that immediately spring to mind though. Radiohead is a band that I love to death. One of the few bands that I literally enjoy their entire discography. Most Radiohead fans seem to split into pre-Kid A and post-Kid A camps. But I truly enjoy it all. The Bends is probably my favorite album of theirs, with In Rainbows a close 2nd. The Beatles are a pretty cliche choice, but their music has been with me since I was a child. And it shows no signs of stopping it's immense impact on my life. the Wu-Tang Clan is another favorite and I basically consider them the Beatles of hip-hop culture. They are a 9 man ensemble of some of the best MCs ever to touch the mic. Their initial string of albums in the 90s is unparalleled in it's genre. They opened with 36 Chambers, which is arguably the best rap album ever. And followed with solo classics from Method Man (Tical), Ghostface (Ironman), GZA (Liquid Swords), and Raekwon (Only Built 4 Cuban Linx). Then they topped it off with a mammoth double LP Wu-Tang Forever. It catches a lot of flack for being inconsistent, but I couldn't disagree more. The beats are incredible as ever and everyone is on point lyrically. The Flaming Lips, Brand New, and Nas would also be tangled up there somewhere. Brand New's Deja Entendu album got me through teenage life. Nas is an incredible word smith who has remained relevant since his debut album, Illmatic, dropped in the early 90s. And The Flaming Lips' trippy music and good vibes lift my spirits no matter what I'm going through.

This is a feature on another forum, that's also running vBulliten, I visit from time to time. When someone posts something helpful/interesting/insightful you have the opportunity to give them "reps". And also if they are being frustratingly difficult or mean you have the option to give them "negs". These points collect and give you a little score that shows in your profile. This is, of course, far from something OB needs, but it's an interesting little feature and is a rare chance to award someone for quality posts. I only bring it up because I often find myself wanting to quote a post just to say "That's interesting" or "Thanks" or "ahah, I found that humorous". Just a thought.

Props on the title, made me chuckle. Glad to see this place has loosened up a bit. Back in my day this thread would've been nothing but posts ridiculing/attacking you for "bad taste". Swayze will certainly always have a place in my heart, and it's sad to see him go. And pancreatic cancer is not a fun way to go either. :( I'll be sure light a spliff and enjoy Roadhouse to honor his memory. "I used to **** guys like you in prison."

Anime What are You Watching/Reading Now?
Can't watch Hajime no Ippo anymore... (anime in general online.. Missing a flash thingy that lets me watch things in HD)
Not trying to pry, but why do you not just simply get this aforementioned "flash thingy"? -
I think Obama calling Kanye a jackass is funny and well deserved. But I also think that it's kind of ridiculous that some average rapper interrupting an equally average pop star on stage at a stupid award show has gotten this kind of attention. Kanye interrupts the MTV VMA awards, gets ridiculous amounts of press, and the world jumps down his throat for it. Congressman Joe Wilson interrupts a speech made by the President, which is leagues more important, and manages to do it in an even ruder fashion. And while he catches some negative press, his fund raising skyrockets. The least Wilson could've done was preface "You Lie!" with "I'm really happy for you and I'm gonna let you finish". *Remembers why I watch PBS*
Tarantino films are good because they are cult films. They don't recieve a lot of attention until years later, where fans of the movies share them with other fans and thus, increase the popularity of them. This movie was hyped before it's release and I'm a fan of Tarantino films like Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown...etc etc. While it did live up to it's hype (in my opinion), I think that the movie probably would have been better in my opinion if it was kinda passed over by the moviegoing public.

wut? Not trying to nitpick, but this ...isn't ...true.
Ask her out! [/end thread]
This. I spent a lot of my time pussyfooting around chicks I thought liked me. Ask her out. Rejection ain't that bad, don't chase em, replace em.
Oh, I apologize. I didn't realize how world-stopping it is that people can't tell others when they're doing such enthralling activities such as walking from one room to the next, or, better yet, taking a dump. I'll think next time before besmirching the beloved Tweets. :(
My reaction to your post had nothing to do with my feelings about twitter. Just the fact that you, and pretty much everyone else, were being exceptionaly rude as a response to a simple thread. Seemed unnecessary for everyone to respond if it was nothing but snide remarks. Just like your nauseatingly sarcastic reply to my post. :animestun But I digress, I forgot this was the internet and such is to be expected. Excuse me while I enter every thread and add nothing to the subject, except a clever pun relating to my dislike for the subject/OP. You're right! Sarcasm is fun stuff.
