Hum....there are so many great anime quotes. Some of my favorites are already mentioned. Like "What happened to thou shall not kill? What kind of churchman are you anyway?" from Vash. And of course, any Duo quote is great!!! although i can't think of my favorite one right now..i'll get back to that. I like my sig. quote. And if you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. You know, they say you can tell if someone is lying by looking into their eyes... Ok, i just found another one! this one's from Yu Yu Hakusho. "Yusuke Yuramesi (sp?) Age: 15. Survived by everyone. After going through a big ordeal to get his life back, Yusuke had a brief chance at freedom, until he was EATEN BY A FISH!!!!"

I think Eva was a good series, but i wouldn't put it in my favorites category though. What i liked most was the character development, and how the crisis/problems seemed so real to me. Like the issue Shinji had to deal with. On the other hand, i sometimes just sat there and watched, and esp. on the last two eposides, I just kept thinking "what is going on?" i didn't understand them, until i thought about them for awhile. My fovorite eposide is the one where Shinji and Askuka (sp?) have to fight the angel together, and they had to sinc. That was great!

RPG Trigun: A New Start (WARNING: Smoking, drinking, and violence involved)

(Between the time when Sarah left the sherif's office, and the guy's hear the gun firing) "I need a dress please," Sarah said as she walked up to the desk of the clothing store. "what kind?" the owner asked. "Any kind will do," Sarah said as she took a look around the shop. There were many types of clothing, all different colors and sizes. She walked over to dress of blue color. "how bout this one?" she said as she picked it up and looked at herself in the mirror. "You are so pretty!" the owner said. Sarah went to try it on, and it fit perfectly around her slim figure. It was cut sort of low, and it only went down to the top of her knees. "Thanks," she said as she walked out of the door with the dress on. "Wait!" the owner yelled. "What about the money!!!!" "Oh yeah, almost forgot," Sarah said as she turned around. "But....but why?...." the owner said faintly as he fell to the floor dead. "Thanks for your help," Sarah said as she took a scarf off the shelf. "This will hide my sword perfectly." Sarah walked down the street, now wearing the dress. She walked up to the tavern and opened the door. Everyone looked up as she entered, and a couple of men whistled. There were three groups of men, sitting around a table, playing cards, and a couple of people at the bar, including a little kid. Sarah looked around. "hum....he looks good," she said as she headed toward a drunk man sitting in the corner. "hey good-looking...want to make some quick money?" she asked. "Sure!" the man said now fully awake. "Follow me," she said as she beckoned him with her finger and lead him outside the bar. Once they were outside, she slammed him against the wall, and held her sword up to his neck. "Now listen her, if you screw this up I am going to hunt you down and kill you!" The man got a frigented look on his face. "Now, when I say so, you are going to fire your gun, at the people I tell you to. Then pretend you are chasing me. I don't care if any of them get hurt, just fire the damn gun. Got it??" she said pressing her sword very close to his neck, almost cutting it. The man shook his head nervously. "All right, let's go" Sarah said as she led him with her sword on his back. (Back on the Time Line----Julie is sitting with her wounds, and Nick is up trying to defend them) "Ahhh!" Sarah yelled as she ran toward the group. "Huh.. what's that?" Nick asked as he lowered his gun a bit. Sarah turned her head around and nodded toward the man. He fired his gun again. Then while she was looking back, Sarah ran straight into Dragus. "Please! You're got to help me!" she said in a girly out of breath voice. "What's wrong?" Dragus asked as he grabbed her arms. "That man....." Sarah said as she looked back, and winked at the man. "That man is trying to kill me!" The man started to run forward, and fired one more shoot. "Come back here you, @#*%!" "Don't worry," Dragus said as he hugged her. "We'll protect you. You're safe with us." A smile came on Sarah's face as it was buried in Dragus' clothes... -
I remember driving around town all night trying to get all the tennie beanie babies that mc.d's. had! We used to have competitions in my family to see who could get all of them! I have so many it'd take forever to name them all. But I am proud to say i have ALL the cats! yes! all of them! in original mint condition! The cats where always my fav, i think it's cuz they are all just so darn cute!!! my mom went out and bought the Princess Di one. she's in a box setting on our entertainment center. Mom used to collect the bears, and she's always like horses, so every year i buy her a new one, just to keep her collection going. I don't know what i'd do without my beanie babies! i'm going to be rich some day!!!! :)

i think the "face" of anime changes with people's likes and dislikes, and the way of society. I mean Astroboy came out a long time ago, during the wars and i think that's what it dealt with? right? i don't know, i've never seen an eposide. But as technology advances so does anime. I mean just compare the anime nowadays to back in the 80's or 90's. I mean, let's take gundam for example. The original gundam has a different "feel" to it, than the nowadays yu-gi-oh and pokemon. the images today are so chrisp, and sharp, and the background look real. I think the face chages as our technogoly does. The more advanced the techonology, the more realistic the image.

Anime which cartoon do you prefer out of..
duorocks17 replied to Anime`babe's topic in Otaku Central
Hum....that's a really tough choice....but since you didn't list my favorite (Gundam Wing!) I'll have to go with Kenshin. It's such a great anime! I love the whole, guy is wanted by other guys but can kick the crap out of them, thing. It reminds me of Trigun, which is other one i love! I also liked InuYasha, just for the whole romance thing, and ok, some of the characters were cute. Yu Yu was a good one too, but not as good as the rest. As for Noir, i'm afraid i have to say i've never seen it before. I really wish i could get the anime network, don't they have it on there? It sounds like a good show to watch! -
I saw Grave of the Fireflies, because my local library had a copy of it, and i was just getting into the anime thing. I saw an anime looking cover and said to myself "oh this must be good", and rented it. All i can say is, that it is one of the only movies i have ever cried at. I mean really cried. Yes, it was depressing, but the story touched me so much. it was so moving. I would have to say it was a great buy, and i wish i had enough money to buy it, but even if i did, i would just cry again, even though i know what will happen. Maybe it was because we were learning about Eastern Asia history at the time, like reading about the wars and all the stuff that goes along with them. I just thought it was a really moving movie.

(This takes place while Stocatta is in jail) "Wow, thanks....thanks a bunch, ma'm. heh, now it looks like i'm doing my job. you just saved me!" the sherif said as he put the key to Stocatta's cell on the desk. "Enough," Sarah said as she looked impatiently at the sherif. "My money. Now!" "Yes, ma'm" the sherif said bumbly as he ran back to the safe to get the money. "How pathetic," Sarah thought as she looked at Stocatta lying in her cell. "Some one who allows themselves to be controlled. By a weakling no less, someone who can't even fight his own battles, and takes orders from someone just as worse. Lazy, is what they are." she picked up the locket that was hanging around her neck. "You've got to fight your own battles. Isn't that right, my love." Sarah let the necklace fall as she heard the sherif come back into the room. "Here you go!" he said as he handed her the bag. "$$1,000,000" "Thanks." Sarah said as she took the bag and started to head out. "You know, i heard her say something when i first put her in there," the sherif said as he nodded toward Stocatta. "What?" Sarah asked as she turned back around. "Something about Vash's kin. She said it like two or three times before she finally dropped out." "thanks for the info," Sarah said as she walked out of the sherif's office. "So they are Vash's brother and sister. Perfect. I'll just follow them, and let them lead me to him. Or better yet..." Sarah started to laugh as she followed after Julie and the group. -
When i was in choir back when it first came out, we sang the "minutes" song. I can't think of it's name right now. it's like "five hundred twenty four thousand six houndred minutes", i think. I really enjoyed singing this song, and our music teacher play the record, yes record, not cd, of it. I really enjoyed the music. I think i was a little to young at the time to be able to enjoy the show, though.

"Number Nine." "Number Nine." Wow, i don't know if anyone else has heard of this, but the beatles actually made a chirstmas cd. (well, i don't know if you can call it a CD, it was a tape at the time) And well, it's kinda like, "let's get the guys together, and make up silly songs for the day" . Let me warn you, some of these songs, esp. by John make no sense, but sense i listened to the tape with my dad, i can't get "Christmas time is here again" out of my head. My favorite line...."O..U...T.. spells OUT!!!" :) ;)

How can you not mention "Hotel California"!!! It's the greatest song the Eagles ever did! I just love the opening. you start with one guitar, then two, then three, and so on, add some drums and start singing! "on a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair..." The eagles were a great group. I just loved how the drummer could not only drum, but sing as well!

"Oh no!" Yuna said as she started to follow the servant from the village. "We forgot Wakka!" Yuna said as she turned around and ran toward the village. "Yuna, wait!" Lulu yelled after her, and Kimarhi started to follow her. "Don't worry, she'll be back," Lulu said to the servant as she stood and watched her ran away. "Wakka, you always make us late for something," she said to herself. Yuna ran into the city, and saw the other members of the Besaid Blitzball team. "Where's Wakka?" she asked, out of breath, Kimarhi right behind her. "He was like, down by the ocean." one said. "Thank you," Yuna said as she ran for the road that lead to the river. As she got to the road she stopped. There in front of her was Wakka, and a young man she had never seen before. Kimarhi came up behind her, and his face became stern.

Sarah heard the gunshot echo from far away. "Do you hear that Mr. Mayor?" she asked as she sat on the edge of the desk of the mayor of the town Julie and the gang where in. "The sounds of violence, and evil. Parading through your city...imagine that..." "Please M'am! I don't know what's going on! I don't know anything!" "That's the wrong answer" Sarah said quietly as in a flash she was behind the mayor, her sword on his neck. "You have been hearing those sounds for quick a few days now haven't you?" "wel.....um....." was all the mayor could get out. He was sweating nervously. Sarah grabbed his hair and made him look right into her eyes. "Where is Vash the Stampede?" she said quietly. "He....he left. A couple of days ago...With a girl...that's all i know...please don't hurt me!" "Damn." Sarah said queitly to herself as she shoved the mayor's head down on the desk. "Thank you," she said as she walked out. The mayor was sobbing in the background. "Shoot, i was so sure all the signs lead to here." she said as she began to walk down the city street. "but oh well, maybe i can get some money from the sherif for catching these people firing the guns. Distribing the peace," she said quietly to herself. "That's exactly what I am going to do," She began to laugh as she drew her sword, and walked toward the commotion. -
Opps! I thought chibi meant when they were little. I guess it means just a cute little picture? If so, then no, Eposide Zero is not chibis, but it does tell the story of each gundam pilot, Relena, and Zechs when they were younger.

Um....are you sure about that? I thought that in the finals of the first tourament, it was Chan vs. Goku. Chan winning, showing Goku that he needs to train more. And then in the other one, the finals are against Tien and Goku, that's why Tien is always waiting for a remach with Goku. and then, Goku beats Chi Chi in the first round of the finals, and Goku goes on to face Piccollo after Piccolo beats Kami and seals him in teh containment jar.

That would be really cool! *Imagines what it would be like to hear a chibi heero voice* I don't know, in my mind a chibi Quarte would sound kinda girly...If they did make it into an anime, i'm sure many more people would understand the story more, so many people are like "I hate that show, it doesn't make sense".

You mean you've never seen all four videos? And you call yourself a Daft Punk fan. J/K! :). Yes, i know what i want for my birthday! Daft Punk please!!! I just hope that it will be released in the U.S. in time for that day, or atleast for Christmas. Just think about waking up to a beutiful DVD of Daft Punk. *sigh* I would be in heaven!

you know, you really can't help but feel sorry for Wufei. I mean, all that happened to him. I really liked his story, and it you get to know a lot more about him, to be able to understand why he searches for justice, and all that. But Heero, even when he was little he was still doing the "hold the detination switch in front of me and press the button" thing. It's kinda funny actually...

Let's see, if you read Eposide Zero it'll explain everything about the boy's past. you can buy it at basically any book store. Although right now, i can't remember where i got mine. let's see....Trowa...i'll have to remember this from memory cuz a friend is barrowing my copy..
Trowa, like most of the other pilots was a war orphan, i guess you could say. In the magna it shows little baby Trowa with his parents and sister, and they are being attacked. Something happens, and Trowa gets thrown from the cart. He ends up basically raiseing him self, until he meets up with some rebel group. I think that is where he learned how to fight and all that stuff. His rebel group get ambushed and he's basically all buy himself again until he goes to the colony, and begin working on the gundam. That's where you see him in Endless Waltz.
I think that's right, and i hope that helps. Like i said, if i had my copy with me, i could give you some more info.

Lamb Chop's Playalong!!!! Wow! I remember watching that show everyday when i was little. That and turtles, my brother loved that show. And you can't forget sesame street! oh those were the days. But we didn't have cable when i was really little, so my TV show was watching my dad play Sonic the Hedgehog, The original on our Sega. I can't just remember sitting on their bed, and just watching...watching...until it was time to go to sleep, and then i would pop out of my bottom bunk bed and scare my brother while he was sleeping. ;) I'm so evil. Does anyone else remember Lamb Chop's Playalong???????????

Actually, Quarte's sisters
were all test tube babies. In space, it's difficult to have children. I think it's becuase of the whole gravity thing. (If I'm wrong, someone pease correct me). Quarte was not a test tube baby, which i don't think he ever found out. His mother died giving birth to him. That's why when he was little Quarte hated his life. He didn't think he had any purpose until he met the Mag's and they helped him find his perpuse. They were all test tube babies too.
I hope this helps.

Anime What is your favorite gundam/character?
duorocks17 replied to Belldandy Angel's topic in Otaku Central
My favorite pilot is duo! (duh!) I like him becuase, even though he came from a very harsh background, he still has an entergetic, and outgoing personality. Ok, sure, he's the god of death, but he still has a funness inside of him that even wins Heero over. Duo has all the character traits that a friend would have, except for the killing part (lol). And yet, he only does that to protect the earth, and those he cares about. My favorite gundam is.....u guessed it, deathsythe. I love how the hyper jammers can make it go invisible, and then appear out of nowhere! that's sooo cool!! and then, in Endless Waltz, the whole evil look to it. It really made you think of Duo as the god of death!!!! :) -
Yuna finished her dance, and the children of the city swept over her. The crowded around her, all giving her praise for her beutiful dance, and the beutiful aeon that came, but had thence went back up to heaven. Yuna smiled at the children and then headed over to Kimahri and Lulu. "Well?" She asked. "How did I do?" "You did very well," Lulu replied as she looked warily at Kimahri. Kimahri nodded to her. "What's going on?" Yuna asked as she looked at them quizically. "Nothing." Kimahri said as Yuna looked up to him. She could usually tell how he was feeling. She had known him for a long time. "Come on, Kimahri, what's..." "Summoner Yuna! Summoner Yuna!" I man came running down the street, very much out of breath. "Sin has attacked another city! Please, will you come and do the summoning?" "Of course." Yuna said as she looked at her guardians. "Let's go."
