Although I'm having a tough time deciding what school i want to go to, (heh..I'm a senior, i better get moving!) i definately know what i want to do. I want to be a radiologist, or as they call it in the field, a Rad Tech. I find the human body fasinating, and after spending this last semester in the hospital in the different areas, i've found that this is the place for me. I couldn't stand being a nurse, there's just way to much writing involved. With radiology, all you do is take the x-ray, put it in the computer to load, scan the patient's name, scan the x-ray, scan your name, what the x-ray was for, and what exatcly it was. And poof! you're done! Not only that, but it has a sort of relaxed atmosphere. Then, once i have spent a couple of years just doing regular x-rays, i hope to move up into the Heart Cath Lab. That was a very interesting place to go, and it seemed very interesting. Some of the things that i will likely be doing on the side: while in college, 1.)working at my job, pissing people off when i tell them they can't return something. (heh...great fun!) 2.) contiuning work on my book. (which currently has 47 pages! yeah!) 3.) drawing characters for my book 4.) partying!!! :) Hopefully i will someday be able to turn my book into an anime, but i'm not so sure that will work. Some colleges I'm planning on attending is Newman University, which has already given me a scharship, and maybe either KU, or WSU. (considering they would be a lot cheaper.)

Wow....those are really cool! I wish i could do that. Is there a certain site that you go to get codes for those types of layouts, or do you have to make them yourself? I really like the background music on the first one. Your right, it does set the mood. :)

Karen walked into the Great Hall with a feeling of much anticipation. She looked up to the enormous ceiling, which looked exactly like the night sky. Stars where scattered everywhere, and the moon gave off an omnious light. Candles where lit everywhere, which gave the room a homely feel. Karen looked to her right, and saw the familar faces of Fred and George, who were grinning most triumphantly, and pointing to Ron and her. She gave them a slight wave, as she bumbed into Ron, not realizing they were stopped. "Ouch!" he said as he turned around. "Sorry," Karen wispered back. The old witch in front of them stared at her. And she felt herself shrink at least two feet. There was an old man sitting at the head position of the table, his eyes glistened, and twinkled like the stars that shown in the ceiling. Karen couldn't help but feel better when she looked at him, as the witch began talking once again. OOC: ok, the sorting is about to start, which i will do. so if you have anything your character wants to say or do before he/she gets sorted, please do it now.

I watched the Commentary from the Cast for the first movie. :) It was so funny! There was some parts where i couldn't stop laughing! I remember...this was a while ago when i watched it...that during one of there sessions they had a break, and it was there that the game "Tig" was invented. *laughs at Artemis* we would play this in school just to pass time. Tig is exatcly like tag, only you use different words, like "tog". (I'll use the characters since some people don't know who played them)Pippin and Merry invented this game and started to play it. They started to make up all kinds of fun rules for it. Then Sam came and saw what they were doing, and joined the fun. They made up more rules, and continued playing. Then, Frodo comes along, and actually thinks it's a real game! So they play it, Pippin and Merry making up new rules as they go. Well, some time passes, with out the game of "Tig" and Frodo asks why they don't play it anymore. You see, he thought it was a real game! They then explain it was just a game they made up. *laughs* it was so funny!:)

I read the triology back in 7th or 8th grade, and i found it not only interesting, but a book i just couldn't put down. It was very intreging. Only after being forced to read The Hobbit this year by my senior english teacher, did i really understand where it all started. My mind kept going back to places mention in LOTR, and of course, Gollum. Althought i have the extended four disc of TT, i have yet to watch it. I already know a lot about how they made the movie, and such from my good friend, who not only is a "know-most-of-it-all" of the book, but loves to watch the bonus features. I find it quite interesting to see just how the story went from book to film. There is a lot of stuff that goes into it, that sometimes, you just don't notice, or even realize. Like how much time Andy had to put in just to become Gollum. I mean, (correct me if i'm wrong) I think he had to put in more time than any of the other actors. I would have to say that i liked the books better than the movies. I mean there is so much more in the book, that the movies left out. I can think of many for ROTK. But hopefully those will be in the extended edition. My favorite character is Pippin. (as K.K.C. knows all to well :)) He is so funny, and always gets into some sort of trouble. He is always faithful to his friends and family. My favorite part of the books is when Legolas and Gimli are counting how many Orcs they slay. I don't think they show enough of this in the movie.

Karen followed Harry and Ron out of the compartment, and down the coridoor. Remus was following her, still looking down. Harry was the first to hop off the train and into the crowd of students who were jaming the platform. Ron jumped down next to him. "Looks at all these people!" he said as he looked around. Karen jumped down next to him. "Look at the castle! It's so big and pretty! I can't wait to get there!" "First years this way!" came a voice above all the rumbling of the crowd. In front of them, was a man of giantic size. He was easily taller than everyone else, and he had very bushy brown hair, and a beard to match. "Who's that?" Karen said as she got closer to Ron. "I don't know," Ron said in reply, his voice a little shaky. "It's Hagrid!" Harry said as he walked over to the huge man. "Hiya Hagrid!" he shouted up to him. "Oh Harry! It's you! How was your trip? Are you ready?" Harry nodded in agreement as Remus jumped off the train. He looked at the huge man, and started to walk the other direction. "Oh no you don't!" Karen said as she grabbed his hand. "We started this journey, and now were going to finish it." "I don't know if that's such a good idea," Remus said as he tried to pull away. "I mean....just look at it!" "Well, if he's a friend of Harry's he must be nice," Ron shrugged as he walked up to Hagrid. "First years this way!" he yelled again as he held his lantern up. Karen saw the bushy haired girl from earlier walk by, and a boy holding a toad. "Come on," Karen said as she pulled Remus along. "If they're going to, it can't be that bad!" "That's just what she thinks," Remus thought to himself.

I got a Gamecube for christmas and it came with the disk. I was so happy. The first thing i did was start to play OoT. That is my favorite one, even though i can never make it past the Water Temple. I'm kinda sad about the music messups in Majora's Mask, but it's an awesome game anyway. I'd played the first Zelda before, but didn't know there was a second one. I was happy to play that. And then you even get a demo for Windwaker, which looks really cool. My brother bought Double Dash the day after, and that is one fun game! It puts a new spin on a game that me and my dad used to play all the time. Even he likes it, and he's used to those Atari games! I can't wait to get Mario and Luigi! It's definatley a good buy!!

"That girl seems nice," Karen said as Hermione and Nevil left the compartment. "A little crazy if you ask me," Ron said as he watched her leave. Harry laughed at this remark, as Karen gave him a stare. "What?" Ron asked as he looked at her. Karen just shook her head. She looked over at Remus, who didn't look so good. "What's wrong, Remus?" Karen asked as she looked at him. "Nothing," he replied as he looked out the window. Karen followed his gaze, and saw out the window, the most beutiful forest she had ever seen. "Wow, look at those trees!" she said as she pointed to one that stood higher than the rest. "We must be getting close. I'm sort of nervous." Karen said as she looked back at Ron. "There's nothing to worry about," Ron said in reply. "Fred and George always say they have a blast at school. Come on, you've read the letters they've sent to me." "Yeah, but so many new people..." Remus looked at her. He knew exactly how she felt.

Karen once again stood up to look down the hall. She opened the door, just a little, to see what was going on. "Ha, it's nothing. Just your brothers again," Karen said as she looked at Ron. "Looks like their ambushing an old lady...with a cart?" Ron stood up and swung the door all the way open, he had to see this. "Those two," he said as she shook his head with a smile on his face. Remus too looked out the door, and a smiled appeared on his face as well. "Those two, are you're brothers?" "Yeap!" Ron said, the smile on his face getting even bigger. The old lady had proceded in breaking free from the two twins, and stopped outside the open doorway to the cabin. "Snacks, anyone?" she asked merrily, as her hair was all dishelved. Ron sat back down, and took out his sandwhich. "Got mine, thanks." he said as he eyed it warily. "Me too," Karen said as she sat down next to Ron, and pulled hers out. Harry eyed them, and then made a move for his pocket. "We'll take it all," he said as he pulled out a handfull of Sickels. Karen and Ron just eyed him, suprised that he could have so much money with him. Remus sat down next to Harry, as the witch began passing out treats, which we eaten, in Ron's case, just as soon as he got them.

The Original Mobile Suit Gundam is set in the Universal Century Timeline. Gundam Wing is set in the After Colony Century Timeline. Universal Century....when man first travels into space. This is when the colonies are just starting to form. Because of over-population and pollution, the Earth is becoming a not very good place to live. So, man looks to space, to start their new lives. After Colony.....this timeline has nothing to do with the U.C. one. People have been living on the colonies for quite a while now. These colonies have been crully oppresed by the Earth Alliance. I group called "Oz" is secretly behind this. The colonies are ready to strike back, and have the power to do it too... I hope this was what you were looking for, if not, i can try to help more.

"Wait!" Mary said as she gently laid the person's feet back on the ground. "What's wrong?" Meteo asked as he still had the person in his claws. "Hey Kay! Do you see that thing, right there in the middle of that pile of blood?" Kay walked forward, picking up her tail in the process, not wanting it to get blood on it. "Oh...i see it! I'll get it!" she said as she reached out her hand to grab it. WOOSH! An enourmous power shot from the object, and blew Kay back against a nearby tree. In the wind from the blast, Mary saw what the object really was.... "It's a jewel shard!" she said as she turned to her brother and gave him a smile. He smiled back, and Mary walked over to the shard. A light seemed to radiate from her hand, as the shard was seemingly washed of blood. "Ouch!" Kay said as she righted herself from the tree and walked over to Mary. "How come you weren't hurt in that big 'Woosh'?" Mary just smiled, as she put the shard in her pocket and walked back over to her brother. She once again grabbed the feet, and they began to walk, with Kay, lost in her thoughts, following behind.

He is very persistant, and never willing to give up. He bears his burdon with determination. He is a good friend to those he cares for. Biography: Frodo is the son of Drogo Baggins, and Primula Brandybuck. When his parents died in a boating accident his cousin Bilbo official adopted him, and braught him to Hobbiton. (he used to steal mushrooms from Farmer Maggot). Altough Frodo refers to Bilbo as "Uncle" he is actually his cousin (once removed from his mother's side). Frodo lived with Bilbo for 12 years, and meet with Elves in the woods, and read his uncle's diary. At Bilbo's big birthday party, he left everything to Frodo, and disappeared. Gandalf occasionaly visited, and Frodo would go walking with his cousins, Merry and Pippin, and his gardner, Sam. Then one day, Gandalf returned, now knowing the truth about the One Ring, and it is thenceforth that Frodo starts his amazing journey, accoupanied by his friend, Sam. Name: Peregrin "Pippin" Took Age: 28 when the adventure first began from Bag End Gender: Male Character replacing: Pippin Weapons: a sword called "Troll's bane" Armor: none Appearance: Race: Shire Hobbit Personality: Pippin is young, stout-hearted and very loyal to his friends and family. His couriosity often gets the better of him, but he is brave when he has to be. He is very cheery, and this lifts the spirits of those around him, even in time of despair. Pippin is very adventurous and it is this trait that led him to see what his older cousin was up to. Biography: Pippin is the son of Paladin Took II of Great Smials, and is Frodo's younger cousin. Seeing that something was going on with his older cousin, Frodo, he goes to look into the matter. Seeing that Frodo, and his gardner Sam are going on an adventure, Pippin eagerly joins. Altough Frodo really didn't want him to come along, Pippin joins, and in the beginning causes more problems for the group. While leaning against a tree in the Old Forest, Pippin was swallowed by the tree, until Tom Bombadil came and saved him. Pippin goes to Rivendell and becomes the ninth member of the Fellowship, through the intersession of Gandalf. Merry and Pippin are traveling partners on the journey to defeat Saurmon. (i hope that is ok. You're in my story, but if you still need me to send you a sample, i'll be happy to!) -
Ok, i just started the story. It's in the arena...duh. I'll still take one or two sign-ups, and we still need a Harry. I ask that you please stay committed to the story. Please write at least two paragraphs, and make it understandable so that other players know what is going on. And as always...have fun!!!! :)

The train whistle blew loudly as students filled the station platform. "Well, here we are!" came a voice that Karen had known almost as long as she could remember. Mr. Weasley came through the portal with his wife, and 5 red-headed children. "Are you exicted Karen?" Mr. Weasley asked as Fred and George pushed through the crowd and entered the train. "Yeah...i guess. I'm kinda nervous." I said as i looked from him to the tons of kids gathering around the train. "It'll be great fun!" Ron said as he walked past and bumbed me on the shoulder. "I'll get us a cabin." Ron pushed his trunk toward the train, while Percy followed. "Mr. Weasley, please look after Uncle Remus." Karen said as she grabbed her trunk with her new owl, Grant, which had been a start of the year gift from Uncle Remus. "I'm worried about him. Make sure he takes his potion." The horn of the train blew loudly as kids started running for the train. "Come here children, and I'll give you your sandwhiches!" Mrs. Weasley yelled. "Don't worry I will. You just stay safe. And try to keep Ron out of trouble." Mr. Weasley said as he winked at her. "Bye, Mr. Weasley," Karen said as she gave him a hug. Karen ran over to Mrs. Weasley, grabbed a sandwhich, and gave both her and Ginny a hug. "Bye everyone!" she said as she rushed onto the train. The whilstle blew, and the train started to leave the station. Everyone was waving at their family members as the train pulled out. Karen couldn't help but think what her Uncle was doing at this very moment, while she started a completly new life... Karen walked through the halls of the train looking for Ron. She felt sort of out of place with all these different people she didn't know. She heard a commotion in front of her, and knew it must have been Fred and George. After taking a few steps, she finally game across the cabin Ron was in, only he wasn't alone. "Hey Karen! Come in!" Ron said as he moved over so she could sit down. "Thanks," Karen said as she sat down. The boy across from her was lounging back in the seat. He had glasses, black, messy hair, and green eyes. "I'm Harry. Harry Potter." the boy said as he looked her in her direction. Potter...i remember that name from somewhere. Wasn't Uncle Remus telling me about it... "I'm Karen. Karen Black" she replied as she looked over to Ron who was reading the The Daily Prophet. "Looks like some more Muggles were killed in the forest again." Ron said as he read the headline. "Dad will have to work late again tonight it seems." Harry looked confused as he listen to Ron talk. "Muggles...what's that?" "Non-magic folk." Ron replied as he sat down the paper. All of a sudden there was a crash in the hallway, and we all turned around to look what had caused the commotion. alright everyone! have fun!! :)

I watched the DVD yesterday, and didn't see it in it. They probably realized their mistake, after hearing it from fans like us. lol. :) This really isn't anything that bad, but i just noticed that while watching it, Simba's eyes change color. First they are yellow...then they go white...and they go back to yellow. It does it throughout the movie. Is there a method in this madness, or just and animator screw-up???

I love Every Little Thing! They are such an awesome group. My favorite song would have to be "Feel My Heart". Every time i hear it it makes me want to get up and dance. Every song that i have of there's is very good. I also like V6, they are a cool group too. They have done other songs that are just as good as "Change the World". BoA is another good group. They have lots of good songs like "Every Heart" and "Jewel Song". And you can't forget about Ayumi Hamasaki!!

Aww......i loved the whole piano aspect of her album. If the second one is nothing like it then there is no reason for me to buy it. I loved her first album, but i loved it because of teh predominance of the piano. (the piano is my fav. instrument and i play it). I've always wanted to get the sheet music so i could play along. Dum..just a day...dum...just an...dum...ordinary day.... but....it could be interesting if it rivals Evanescence......

Cowboy Bebop was one of the first anime series that i ever saw. At that time, i hadn't had Cartoon Network very long, and really to tell the truth didn't know what anime was. Then, against my parent's wishes one night i stayed up past ten, and commenced in watching adult swim. It was then that i was instantly hooked on the series. My favorite eposide has got to be "Ballad of the Fallen Angels". It was the firest eposide i saw of the series, and just the animation and music were done so beutifully. Yoko Kano is a great composer, and all the music is awesome. It really sets the tone for the scenes. Another reason I like Cowboy Bebop is that it has to deal with space. I know this may sound lame, but i have always been fasinated with the stars and the galazy. It's so jawdroping how big our world actually is. Back on topic, my favorite character would have to be Spike.

Anime Most Deadly Trio of Mobile Suits
duorocks17 replied to Lightning Baron's topic in Otaku Central
well....if we are sticking to GW models....i would have to go with Deathscythe, Heavyarms, and Wing Zero. Heero could shoot his beam canon and Trowa could let out a barage of bullets, then Duo could go in with his scythe and clean up the mess. If Duo ever got into trouble, Heero could easily rush in while Trowa provided some cover. -
Artemis....I was hoping that all sign-ups would be first year, seeing as how it would be kind of hard to have an older character be really active in the story. and G/S/B Master...Swordmaster could have a protype for the firebolt, since the character is the inventor's child. But, seeing as how we are all first years it shouldn't really matter..... -please keep all brooms to Nimbus and lower. Thanks for all you're help. I'll try to post the story in a couple of days....still waiting for a couple more sign-ups...Hermione and Harry....

You know how the old saying goes.."You can't judge a book by it's cover" the same holds true for anime. Sure, some of the first eposides might really suck, but that just means whoever wrote it didn't know how to use a "hook", a literary technique that grabs the readers/watchers attention. I've known at least two shows...although i can't think of the names right now....that had really crappy begins, but as the story progressed, it got more and more interesting and kept me watching. I at least try to give a series a chance, but if i get at least 10 eposides into it and it still sucks...that's when i give up. Also, i sometimes end up starting a series off in the middle of it, and then wishing i could go back to see how it all started. well...that's my opinion...anyway...

The Lion King is a great soundtrack! I love just listening to those songs. It reminds me of back when i was little and it first came out, i couldn't stop singing those songs. Whenever i watch that movie, or hear those songs, it takes me back to my little trailor house sitting in front of the TV, watching it with my brother....oh those good times...that was when he was actually nice to me!
-
This christmas i really didn't get that much, seeing as how i never really wanted anything...but what i got i wouldn't trade!! I got a GameCube system with the little disk that has four Zelda game on it! *jumps up and down for Link* I just love all the Zelda games, and that really made my day, seeing as how i can't even get to my N64 anymore.. And i also got a Digital Camera, and it's really cool. You can even make a movie with it, and it play MP3, and all kinds of neat little stuff. I think i took at least 50 pictures on Chirstmas day! i was just having too much fun! And then i got LOTR Trival Pursuit. I rock at that game! He he! Take that older brother!!!

"Thank you Julie," Sarah said as she looked down at her leg. "No problem," Julie said back as she started wrapping up Nick's wounds. "Well, what do we do now?" Sarah asked as she stood up, wincing through the pain. She knew that this was not enough to stop her. "Let's rest a bit. They're going to have to take a break themselves, they have nothing left." Knives said as he stood next to Sarah. "I'll go find Millie," Sarah said as she started to leave. "Come on Knives, let's leave them alone." Sarah and Knives headed into the city, as Julie finished Nick's wrap.
