But I guess you can take my opinions on soda with a grain of salt, since I really don't drink it too much anymore lol. I usually stick with milk, orange juice, or Kool-Aid lemonade. Yum.
Yeeeah Kool-Aid. Sadly, I haven't had any in a while. I need to go grocery shopping. I usually stick to water, cranberry juice, orange juice, Kool-Aid. But I do drink soda alot. And Coke's the only way to go. Pepsi makes me sick.

You know what I just remembered. 7-Up. It's not the best at all to just drink. However, my sister's dad (we've got different dads) has this magical remedy to the tummy ache, or if you're ever not feeling well. Drink 7-Up and take a Tylonel. (after the 7-Up has flattened, which is really soon) Anyway, my sister's dad said that would cure any sickness. And you know what, it works. One day, I was feeling really sick. My stomach cramped, my head hurt, my body just didn't want to do a thing. SO, I tested this "magical remedy". And within minutes, I was feeling just fine XD But hands down, Coke is the best. James has it all right:
"Coke Hit= Orgasm"
Especially, if you're hot and thirsty ^_~

The lights have gone out, the room flooded with blackness. Her breath rose and fell with her venturing thoughts. Voices echoed in her head, taunting her to follow. Hands grasp at anything. Her voice crackled a whimper, peaking with fear. "Don't fret, precious..I'm here."

Hm...well. I'm not a big Mario-themed fan...*dodges Shin's tomatoes* I thought it was amusing, and it flowed really quickly.
I am a high honor roll student, got accepted into the third best college in the Midwest, and am not problematic, and I smoke. You would be surprised at how many people are like that.
I know what it's like. I know how people are. That's what I was getting at. When someone accuses a teen for smoking, knowing "all of the listed above", that is what's ridiculous. That was my point, but if you were trying to point out something different or you were agreeing, sorry if that sounded like I was retorting at you. But it seemed you weren't understanding my point. Aww, poor Syk3. See! *points* Ridiculous parents! You're an excellent student, and you told me the news of you getting accepted into your second choice of college. And you still get accused. Bah..*shakes fist*

Hm, I'm going to say I was about 14-15 when I first started watching anime. I started off with DBZ, naturally, then it led into Sailor Moon. I don't really watch anime any more, but I've gone from DBZ to Cowboy Bebop (which is my favorite). Man, the years fly by. -simple as that

Beads of sweat trickled down his neck, soaking the cotton of his white robe. The cool breeze only sent shivers down his spine. The grinding of the two blades forced his skin to crawl with goosebumps. Drix glanced at his surroundings before looking back to James. "Come quietly, Drix. I really do not want to do this the hard way," the site director smirked. "How can I turn myself in if I didn't do anything?" Drix growled and delivered a swift kick into James' side. The two stumbled back from each other. Seconds passed before James thrust forward, swinging the katana in his hand and reeling it against Drix's. Jumping to his left, Drix jerked his katana from under James' and ducked to miss James sweeping the blade over his head. The gust of wind from the swing forced Drix onto his back. "All too easy," James brought his katana down with his body weight. "Not so," Drix rolled to the side and jumped to his feet, "Let's dance, James." The men smiled and charged another. Their blades clashed what seemed a hundred times before James landed a blow to Drix's thigh. He grasped at his leg, feeling the blood roll down. James raised his blade, glancing at the blood-stained tip. One drop patted softly in the gravel. "Good form," Drix nodded and stood up, raising his blade to touch James'. |-Meanwhile...-| "Do you have any in purple?" Annie asked the merchant. "Hai," he nodded and scuttled into the store. Annie sighed heavily and looked around the streets of Tokyo 3. They were bustling with life; anime everywhere, manga flooding the shelves of sidewalk vendors, young teenagers running about. The city life amused Annie, it set the perfect scene as she looked for a kimono. A change from the sand and water, although, some bandits still hung around the beach. "This is my finest," the merchant limped beside Annie, holding out a silky, lilac kimono with violet velvet trimming and floral design. "Oh my," breathed Annie as she ran a hand over the gorgeous fabric, "Solo Tremaine-san, domo arigato." Annie bowed and paid for the kimono. Now that she had her attire, Annie had to figure out where to find James. This was proving to be the most difficult mission she had handled yet. She struggled to think of anyone, besides Baron, that would know the site director's whereabouts. " :O Annie? What are you doing in this part of the OB?" She spun around and glanced up to the top of the page, she had been wandering aimlessly and landed herself in the Art Studio. She blinked a few times and turned to face its moderator, Syk3. "Hey Syk3. I guess I was just brain dead for a minute. How is it hanging?" "Eh, you know-" "Nevermind, nevermind..I should have asked, how are you doing?" Annie smiled and walked up to Syk3, extending her hand. "Me, I'm doing fine. But to get back to your original question-" "SYK3!" "Oh okay, sheesh," the mod giggled and shook Annie's hand, "Seriously, I'm good. But what's going on with you? You look a bit dazed." Annie sighed and scratched at her cheek, "It's just, something's come up with the Bandits. Drix hasn't contacted me yet about- Hey, would you know anything about James? Where you might find him?" Syk3 smirked and narrowed an eye at Annie. He shook his head and headed back to a thread. "If you really want to find James..he'll find you," Syk3 waved before getting back to bounty hunting. |-Back to the battle..yay!-| The two paced around each other, their blades pressed firmly; neither one budging. Drix's ever watchful gaze never broke. A droplet of water broke the silence; echoing softly through the thick solitude. Then, one after another, water droplets sprinkled the two with a light drizzle. "Perfect," Drix grumbled. The rain would only aid their blades to slip. "Ready?" asked James, and without a breath of reply, he broke his blade free. James lunged, sweeping his leg underneath Drix's and bringing the blade down in a stabbing motion. Drix thrust his leg into James' left shoulder, knocking the katana's aimed direction just inches away from Drix's head. He rolled to the side to avoid another jab before jumping to his feet and ducking a forceful pass of James' katana. With a quick fumble, Drix swung his blade at James. Unfortunatly, the gravel beneath his feet became slippery from the rain, sending Drix down to the ground. Knelt over, he felt the cold steel against his throat. "Good job, Drix D'Zanth. I'm not going to ban you..yet," James pulled up on his blade, motioning for Drix to rise, "I made a deal. You put up a good fight, you get to speak." Drix stood and looked at the site director, a small spot of red stained his leg. He smiled. "Scratch for scratch," said James as he sheathed his katana, "Come now. You'll have to be restrained while I contact Adam." |-Somewhere on the OB-| "And that's the basics of the Geisha tradition," Japan_86 finished after hours of jabbering, and fighting, to get Annie informed. "Japan-sama, domo arigato," Annie bowed. The beads from her hair decorations jingled and tickled her face. "^_^" Japan_86 bowed and gave Annie a few more bits of advice. "How's Charles?" "You know Charles." A pause. "Yeah, well, tell him I said 'hello'," Annie slowly rose to her feet. The narrow skirt of the kimono only allowed Annie with so little room to walk, and she nearly fell over. Luckily, Japan_86 was next to her to catch. Annie thanked her again and steadily made her way to the exit of Japan's myO. Annie found herself back at her myO and looked over herself. The lilac and violet kimono wrapped around her body snuggly, the back of the kimono hung gently over her shoulders, revealing the back of her neck just so, the violet sash wrapped layers around her waist, and complete with a small fan tucked under her waist sash and a parasol. "Annie! Annie! Wait...Annie? Is that really you?" Corey came running, halting abruptly catching a glimpse of the Geisha-form Bandit leader. "Yes, how do I look?" she turned slowly. Corey gazed slightly baffled, but in awe. "Wow, I never imagined you could look this pretty," he scratched his chin. Annie: -_- *thwaps him with the parasol* "Hehe, good one, Annie," Kane approached, followed by the rest of the bandits. The all touched and chatted about Annie's kimono. Some played with her fan, Kitty played with the beads of her hair decorations, Corey rubbed his cheek. "Eh hm.." a light cough distracted the group. Annie pushed her way through the group to be face to face with James. James: *blink* "What are you doing here?" Annie snatched her fan from Jamie. "I need to speak with you," James glanced over the group, "in private." Annie nodded, "I'll just be a moment." She turned around and whispered the plan to the gang. Kane gave Annie a pair of earrings that contained the communication device. Taking a deep breath, Annie turned around and started walking towards James. He held out his arm to help her keep balance. They took a few steps out of Annie's myO before being swept to a Japanese-style building. James slid the door open and motioned for Annie to enter. She stepped out of her sandals and into the house. The main room was stark white with cherry wood trimming. A simple, tea table sat in the middle of the room, accompanied by one blue cushion on each side. Annie set her parasol against the wall and took in another breath. Annie, can you hear me? It's Kane, I'm testing this out.. "What did you need to talk to me about, James?" Annie asked, tugging on her ear. Perfect..to send us constant feed, press the back of the earring.. "I know why you were seeking me out," James stepped into the house, sliding the door close behind him, "And I have what you are looking for." "What have you done-" "I've not done a thing to him. Not yet, at least," James made his way over to the table and sat down on the blue cushion. Annie followed quietly and knelt down beside the table and took up the pot of teat that happened to appear. "Where do these things come from," James quirked an eyebrow. Quietly, Annie poured a cup of tea for him. She set the pot down and glanced around. "Why do you think Drix would do something to Adam? He doesn't have any reason to," Annie started. "I saw Drix drawing in the sand, with my own eyes," James answered over his cup, "After he'd left, I walked over to see what it was. It was a picture, an odd picture. So, I sketched it out on a notepad and looked it up on the internet. The picture meant 'death'. So, being Adam's bodyguard, I only assumed for his safety." James took another sip of tea. Annie stared in disbelief. How could Drix have known what the picture meant? He was a horrible artist. Annie blinked out of her trance and poured another cup of tea. She set the pot down and reached up for her ear, pretending to scratch at it. She pressed the back of her earring, switching on the permanent link. "Are you ever going to listen to him?" "No, I can't take that chance." "Can I see him?" Annie let go of her ear and brushed a fly-away hair from her face. "I'm afraid I cannot do that, Annie," James watched her movements. "Why not? All I want is to say 'good-bye'.." Annie took her fan and started to rub on the ivory sides. "I'm sorry, Annie." "Very nice style, James. The house," she fanned herself, gazing about the room and the rooms beyond, "Very..manga-like." "Thank you. Is it that hot in here?" James questioned, pointing at the fan. "I get heated easily, and this kimono doesn't help," Annie chuckled, holding the fan over her mouth. |-Back at the group-| "All I want is to say 'good-bye'.." Annie's voice came over their earpieces. "That's it, let's go!" Queen Asuka shot up and grabbed sweetreyes. "You know where they are?!" Sonata stood up and took Jamie's hand. "You bet I do! Manga forum, here we come!" Queen Asuka smiled. Oooh my, closer we are getting to the conclusion! Thank you all for your support. I wouldn't be able to continue this without you guys. I didn't feel that this chapter was really as action-packed, or as humorous, as the previous. Maybe it will pick up the pace..I was kind of going through a rough few days when writing this, so maybe I was too drained. *shrug* I hope you enjoy this chapter.
I do have another question for everyone. Has anyone tried that Turkey and Gravy flavored Jones Soda Company soda? They only make it during the Thanksgiving holiday and it always sells out. It just sounds gross to me but I would like to know if anyone has tried it!
:( Oh my..that's so wrong, haha. *shudder* Anyway, my favorite soda is Coca-Cola; particularly, Cherry Coke. Why? Coca-Cola just has a better taste. It's not too sweet (like Pepsi), and it doesn't go flat quickly (like Dr. Pepper). Mt. Dew and Sprite are good to have every once in a while. But I'm going to stick with Coca-Cola, just a refreshing soda.

I've been accused, strangely enough. I believe that every teenager gets accused of smoking, doing drugs, alchohol consumption at least once. It is ridiculous in most cases, especially when the teen does really well in school, is not a problematic kid, and is eager to accomplish their goals in life. Unfortunately, we [teenagers] have been stereotyped as "potheads". It's just easier to believe, I guess/or I have found. Ooops, let me get back on track. I don't smoke, in fact, I just had this discussion with Syk3 last night. I don't see the point; plus, I wouldn't be able to afford it. I have been accused by my parents, and my friend's parents because I'm a dark, quiet person. I tend to keep to myself, sometimes ignoring people. Have my parents confronted me? No, not really. They told me it is my choice, and that it will be my fault if I screw up my future because of marijuana, or any other illigal substance/narcatic.
I would, however, avoid those who would quite obviously be corrupted by such power *cough* DW *cough*.
Thankfully, it's not at your discretion as to whom is to be moderator/and who's not. How would you know [and who are you to say] DW would be "corrupted"? I happen to think that Dragon Warrior would make a decent moderator. Why? Even though you see him as playing around, making silly remarks, or whatnot, DW knows when to stop. He knows when to be serious, and I've seen DW run his own board. He can be mature when he wants/needs to be. Your comment was derogatory.
-
..and people would have to tell me what to do. I tend to get lazy and do what I want rather than what I should.
Wow, I don't know about anyone else, but from reading that, I wouldn't want to see you as a moderator. People telling you what to do? The only person whom I could see that would have to, would be James. Just to tell you the basics, what's really allowed/not allowed, etc. Being the mod, you have to tell members what to do. Otherwise, they'll walk all over you. You tend to get lazy? We all get lazy every once in a while, but being a moderator, you aren't really given the option to be lazy. If you slack on the job (like I mentioned above) members will take that opportunity to do whatever they please. You have to be ontop of everything...(hush, James and Shin). You'd do whatever you want, rather than what you should do? Then how would you benefit the OB? You wouldn't. Your decision to do anything is based upon what the members complain about/ask for/suggest, and if you're just going to ignore their plee of help, or ignore the problem, then the area you're at will have problems. You talked about expectation. Well, I know what to expect from you..if you were ever to become a moderator.

Art New sketch~ (pg13-ish? Slightly mangled pretty boy)
Annie replied to GTK's topic in Creative Works
Actually, I like your original version. The "anarexia" gave it the dark/ "gothic" look. I really liked it. The proportions and shading is just wonderful. Very nice drawing, very nice. -
"This guy's totally a piece of shit," said my sister to our friend. An hour passed, then another. The two gossiped over a variety of topics. Somehow, and quite expectedly, the topic of bashing on my mother was discussed. "What do you think, kid?" "I think tha-" "Oh, I just remembered.."
OtakuBoards Rule #1:
If you ask to become a mod, it will never happen.
-Shy
Beautiful, just beautiful. I was waiting for someone to say that. Anyway, Shin..you know those sexual favors I give you every night are supposed to be-...I mean, sexual favors are nice. I would be mod for just that. Not. I get those anyway. I respect moderators, and they respect me. It's a wonderful relationship. Would I be mod just to get respect? No. If you don't like me, that's your problem. I have many other friends who like me enough to fill my vanity..I mean, my life. Respect is something anyone can demand, and get [if you're deserving]. So, if someone wants to be moderator just for that reason, then that says alot about a person. And I'm not directing that at anyone. Just stating so. If any of the mods were to resign their position, I'd be crying. Every one of them are in their position for a reason, and they do extremely well where they are at.

What is yours? Why is it your favorite? Share your thoughts, okies? ^_^ I am not a big fan, but I absolutely love their Black Album. My favorite song [if I'm forced to pick one out of that album] would have to be "Nothing Else Matters". I have a personal reason to back that up, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to explain...it really makes me sad to think of it. However, I'll tell you a little on why I love it. The song, like all the other songs on that album, is just full of emotion. Pain, love, anger, frustration, all contributed to the song. I don't know about other fans, but every time I listen to that song, I can just feel whatever was going on. The whole album was just moving. Their new stuff isn't as great anymore. I just don't get that same feeling of listening to their new stuff. It doesn't seem to have any feeling in the music; it feels mechanical.

1.) New York City is only about an hour and a half south of where I live. The City has so much historical reference, and is said to be the heartbeat of America. It includes many infamous buildings such as the Empire State, Chrystler, and the late, World Trade Center Towers (which are soon to become memorialized). 2.) Niagra Falls is about six hours north of where I live. Just on the US/Canada border. When tourists come to New York, they go to either of two places; NYC or Niagra Falls. Beautiful water fall, and a trade mark for the state. 3.) Ithica College. C'mon, who's seen Road Trip? That college is about two and a half hours northwest of me. I think that's pretty awesome. 4.) Living only two hours away from Alex (Siren) is pretty hot. I know that's not in my state, but hey, who wouldn't be excited to live so close to the Alex? Okay, don't answer that. But I am excited about it.

Name- Jack (short for Jacquolynn) Age- 13 Race- Human Description- Jack only stands a short 4'7" tall, and weighs no more than 85 lbs. A tiny girl who is just begining her birth into maturity. She normally only wears the white, linen garment and a pair of loosely-laced boots. Snow, rain, no matter. Jack cannot feel the elements (see background). Background- Jack was born with a rare physical condition and three months premature. Her nervous system did not fully develop, along with her vocal cords. She has a voice, but it is very weak and gentle. No matter how much money her parents spilled into acupuncturists and various medical fields, Jack's condition was irreversable. Punishment had to be carried through the form of words; since a whipping would not phase her. Because of this, the verbal abuse traumatized her; seeing as her voice was meek, and her father's was deafening. Jack's parents had to rush her to the hospital several times because Jack would self-inflict damage, just to see if she could help bring feeling into her body; physically. But nothing could help. Of course, Jack never had any friends. She lived her life alone, and without the joy of a loving touch. When rumor of the Blood-red Moon crystal began to sift through the streets, Jack quickly took up the opportunity to seek out the magical stone. She wishes to use the crystal for one purpose, one wish. Not for wealth, not for fame, but only for the sense she had been deprived of; the sense of touch. To get her wish, Jack faces the estranged world of vampires and humans, alone. Until one night when a crazed vampire nearly took her life. She had been sleeping soundly in the bed of a farmer's pick-up truck when he prowled on her. Like a sneaky rat, the vampire attacked the young and helpless girl; feeding off of her painless flesh. The only reason she woke was because he brought along a horrid scent; the scent of death. Young, weak, and without weapon, Jack's struggle was merely a ragdoll effect. As soon as she thought it were the end, another showed his luminous face. He appeared from thin air, decapitating the suckling vampire. His beauty as a night creature stunned Jack. "Little girl, you should not be out this late in the night.." With this, the vampire craddled the small, weakened Jack and nursed her back to health under his dark wings. This was months ago, and yet, this vampire never stated his name. Nor did Jack ask. He had saved her, a human being. She was horrified to question his sympathy and was assured that when the time came, he would reveal his name. Weapon- A pair of scissors and a yo-yo that he had given her.

Well, I guess I'll be the first to say that I'm very happy with the final posting. All of the nominations were very hard to choose from. All of them were most memorable and will always stand out of the events that have passed on the OB. Sifting through everyone's post, wrestling to find the Nifty Fifty was probably the hardest thing I've had to do in my year and a half of being a member here. I was honored, stunned, and flattered, when Shy asked me to help out with the event; it was something I would never have imagined doing something like this. Dedication, a great deal of patience, and an unbiased mind were ingredients into making this possible. It was hard work, but it is all worth it. And I'm very happy with the results. It was very difficult to keep this from all of my friends, as well, lol. The quoting was a pain in the pants because of the server acting up. It took me so long to get together with finding who said what, the server being a biatch, and the codings..Annalisse after many hours-->T_T But it looks good, especially put with Shy's idea. It looks extra nifty. Everyone/thing on this list deserves to be mentioned. For the people of the list, you all have made a great impression on the OB. Whether it was your annoying topics in the O. Lounge (as Lore lovingly calls it ^_^) or if it was your outrageous personality, you have left your mark on the members/forums of the OB. There are many more people/forums/threads/events that topped charts, but were unable to make the list. But, hey, that's what the OtakuBoards Awards are for, right ^_~ It was a tremendous pleasure.

True, Avril is not rap; she's pop. Anyway, punk being dead? Sure. If someone can throw me a band that they think is punk, I'll listen to your plee. I feel punk is dead. Every time I turn around to hear these so-called punk bands, I just hear the same exact music. Not. A. Single. Difference. Seriously, I watched MTV2 during their weekly Rock night, and I see a variety of claimed punk bands all playing similar music and messages. The same way with Fuse television, sadly. That was the only place on TV you could go to find good music. Now, it's flooded with these wannabe's like Avril (however you spell her name), Good Charlotte (who used to be really good punk), or emo bands/singers. Emo is a-whole-nother story. Labeling? Labeling is everywhere, in everything. Everyone is guilty for labeling something. As for bands/singers, it's extremely easy to do. Greenday can be labeled as pop/rock/punk/emo. Avril has been labeled, unfortunately, as punk/rock/pop. Slipknot has been labeled as rock/heavy metal/satanic. There's just no escaping it. I don't find it wrong labeling music, unless it's totally blown out of the water; like Avril and Bowling for Soup. TRL..yeah, hyped up popularity contest. Always was, always will.
I know Shy's job is a lot of work. But I would enjoy it.
Aside from keeping the OB updated on events, throwing out some nifty ideas (no pun intended), working his a** off on set events, and keeping up with his personal life, Shy is more than what you see. I had the opportunity these past couple of weeks to stand alongside Shy and work on the Nifty Fifty Event. It was quite difficult, and took so much diligence and dedication, to bring that event to the OB. So don't go making assumptions that Shy's got the easy job. Also, I've seen Shy moderate a time or two; and quite frankly, if Shy is forced to moderate, that's not a good sign for the person he's shunning. Keep this in mind.
I wouldn't enjoy moderation. It's as simple as that.
Now, with what I stated above, do you still think you'd enjoy Shy's position? It's a lot of work and moderation to be the Event Master. Onto the topic at hand. I can honestly say, if James offered me the position, I'd take the job. Not just so I can close threads, edit horrible posts, or use the "mod rod" my deeds. I'd take the job because I love this message board, and I love to do anything I can to help it out.

Oh. My. God. I love Angel Sanctuary. I don't know how to stress it. The art is amazing, the story is wicked crazy (awesome), and the characters are hot. I have the DVD of the first few episodes; sadly, the only episodes America will sell. The manga is amazing though, and I think it's better than the anime. The manga gives you more information, and it doesn't skip around.
