Hm, I don't really know for sure. I guess my theme song would change very frequently, depending on the day and all....right now, today, my theme song would have to be "Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja" by the Lostprophets. I just feel kick-***, and that song definitely has that beat :)

Christian Bale. Enough said, I'm sold. I will go see it.....if I can afford it that is. I will see any movie with that God of a man in it, lol *shameless fan* I do wonder how the story will pan, though. How much can you expect from this story line....but hey, there are tones of other movies that kept playing out..

I don't know if I can say anything else on this subject, really. I'm a meat-eater, can't live without it. I am an animal lover, but we have to eat to survive. It's what humanity's been doing since....well, ever. Hm....this leads us also to wonder about the phrase
"Every time you masturbate, God kills a kitten."
....hehe. Amusing thought. Oh, and another "There are better sea kittens in the sea.." Yeah, that'll help a friend's self esteem.

So... what did you get for Christmas?
Annie replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
What did I get...? I got a wii, a cotton candy maker, a matching scarf (my husband got one too), a couple pairs of goofy toe socks, 3 seasons of The Deadliest Catch (YAY!!), a Deadliest Catch long-sleeve shirt, a My Little Pony :3, and a set of diamond earrings. Score. -
"What?! What is this thing made of; fire retardant?" Kei huffed. "It's possible. Who knows? We are in the Spirit Realm, so it may be immune to certain attacks," Torin suggested. "But you can't be immune to earthen attacks," Amaya smirked and let down her fists, pulling them up slowly. Two lumps of dirt surrounded the creature's legs. Amaya clinched her fists together to force the dirt to form solid around the badger's paws. Torin took the cue and slashed the ground with his foot. A small arsenal of rock disks floated in front of him for a second before he shoved them with his hands. They sailed like missles towards the immobile creature, striking him repeatedly on the top of his thick head. "Yes! It's working! He's getting tired," Torin exclaimed. "Not really!" Amaya grunted, her little fists shaking, "He's mustering up the energy. I'm starting to lose my grip on his ankles."

Amaya's eyes flickered open to be met with a blinding, but soothing whiteness. Groaning, she sat up and rubbed at her eyes. As they focused, her hearing started to clear from a dull ringing to sounds she recognized; birds, locusts, frogs, and voices. Voices? Amaya thought, climbing to her feet. Her weight shifted as she sunk into the soft, moist forest floor. Shaking her cloak free of leaves and twigs, Amaya stepped down the small hill she woke up on. The voices got louder before she found herself among a group of other young men and women. One of which was wearing some sort of leaf, or loin cloth, smiled kindly at her. Cocking one eyebrow, Amaya dug her fingers into her thick hair to find her sleep had captured not only strange dreams, but a few more twigs. "Man, must have fallen or something," she groaned and looked around. The forest had a familiar feeling, but looked so foreign. Everything was green. Everything seemed to breathe. The trees and bushes around them seemed to be just as curious of these strangers as they were curious of the forest. There was rustling, but Amaya couldn't see a single creature except for the winged lizard the leaf boy carried. The air was sweet and cool, and there was a soft whisper floating in the soft breeze. Amaya looked down the trail the group gathered on only to see a shimmering mist. "Where are we?" a strong, but subtly demanding voice rose above the chattering. Amaya turned her attention to the dark, young man. His eyes pierced her gaze. He must be Fire Nation with that aura.. she smirked. "I am not sure, but I want to go take a look further up the path," Amaya stated as she made her way past them. "Don't go alone! You have no idea what's out there! You could get lost, or eaten by some uknown MONSTER!" the boy, who was obviously Water Tribe with his blue robes, waved his hand. "Well, someone's gotta do it. And seems to me we don't have time to sit here and flap our gums," Amaya planted her hands on her tiny waist. "Who died and made you leader of this pack?" he shot back, folding his arms tightly across his chest, "You're like, 11?" Amaya's face heated up and she tightened her fists into balls, pulling up two spheres of rock under them. "I am 14, thank you very much!" "Calm down, you two. We're in difficult position, and we should be making friends with one another, not enemies," a girl, with soft brown braided pigtails, stepped in front of the earth bender. Amaya huffed, letting go of the spheres. The boy sighed and offered his hand in apology. Hesitantly, Amaya took it and gave him a quick shake; nearly taking his arm off. "Ow, geeze, I was trying to apologize!" he grunted. "Sorry...I guess I don't know my own physical strength," she smiled. Her eyes trailed up into the tree canopy,"Okay, does anyone else get the feeling we're being watched?"

Name: Tso Amaya (last name, first name) Age: 14 Gender: Female Appearance: Amaya stands at a mere 4’10” short, and is quick to remind you to never poke fun at her height. What you see in the photo is mainly what you get, only sans the sword. She wears a pair of dark brown, leather boots that are supposed to be up to her knees, but go just past her knees. She wears a matching leather on her forearms. Amaya is almost always wearing her raven cloak made from boarson (boar/bison..ugly creatures) wool. It is bristly and coarse, giving her a waterproof cloak during the rain storms. The inside is lined with the finest pelt from the koala sheep, giving her cozy warmth. Nation: Earth Element: Earth Weapon: Amaya tries never resorts to using a weapon; she does enough damage with her Earth bending. However, for those “just in case” moments, she does keep a few small daggers on her person. What was your character doing when they heard news of Wu Ren's death? “Amaya! Come up, my darling!” her mother called from the top of the crest. The strong wind whistled down the walls of the canyon. She was sitting in her “secret” nook she carved into the face of the canyon wall. Her mother’s voice echoed for miles, weakening as the restless wind carried it away. “Amaya!” Her eye twitched, her meditation slipping from her grips. Giving up, Amaya groaned, slamming her palm on the earth beneath her. The ground rumbled and cracked, and like a solid magic carpet, the earth moved from the wall and carried the young earth bender up towards the crest. Amaya’s mother stood, arms folded and her foot tapping. “I was meditating, and you disturbed me. So it should be me who is irritated,” Amaya jumped from her rock carpet and onto the grass beside her mother. A flick of her wrist, and she sent the stone sailing to the canyon floor hundreds of feet below. The crash and crumbling barely audible. “Did you see anything in your ‘deep’ meditation?” her mother spat at her daughter’s poor attitude. “I would have.” “Well, if you did, you’d have realized I was calling you in for supper for quite some time. My goodness, you can be just like your great ancestor,” her mother stomped towards the house, “And where are your boots? You’ll catch a cold.” Rolling her eyes, Amaya tightened her cloak around her neck. The wind was getting stronger, and colder. A storm was coming soon, Amaya thought as she looked towards the darkening horizon. She wondered why she couldn’t concentrate on meditating. Normally, Amaya was patient and calm; but not today. Something unsettling in the earth beneath her bare feet. Then, as quickly as she could blink, a wave of stinging, burning sensation swept over her entire body. Crippling, freezing and hot at the same time, the sensation sent Amaya to her hands and knees. And just as soon as it had hit her, the feeling disappeared. She stood, shakily, looking towards the house, seeing a figure emerging from afar on their road. The figure was coming fast and on the back of boarson. It was her father. “Quick!! Amaya, Taruna! Quickly, terrible news!!” he shouted, leaping off of the giant creature and sprinted. “What is it, Miki?” Taruna, Amaya’s mother, met him. "The Avatar..." Amaya whispered. “The Avatar Wu Ren has died!!” A tear rolled down Amaya's cold cheek. Her feet tingled; the earth was going crazy.

There's that saying "watch out for the silent ones", well I believe it goes more like "keep a close eye out on the extremely nice people". This is a perfect opportunity to rant, and make a point! My fiance's mother. Now, I don't know whether it's set in a stone somewheres that the bride and the groom's mother are NOT supposed to get along, but for some reason it is a trend I see and am experiencing. I wish I could say that she's the ultimate monster-in-law who destroys your wedding dress, or completely takes over your responsibilities, or shows up at your place to clean your kitchen....I wish I could say that's how she is, because it'd make it easier. BUT, she's not. She's that very nice person. Seriously, she's a nice lady...which makes me writhe and squirm with distrust and an extreme passion of dislike/hate. She smiles and does nice things, but in a blink of an eye, she'll say one little thing that'll get under my skin...and she knows it. I swear. But Mike thinks I'm over-reacting, because she's not a "bad person", she's "nice". UGH!! It's something I can't fully explain, I can feel it. And there are other people out there who are really nice, but I know they'd turn around and talk smack about me as soon as I leave the room. I just don't trust nice people too well because they're unpredictable. At least you know a CORNHOLE is going to be a CORNHOLE.

Starwind, yes, we are rolling with this first assignment. It's just to get something going; get to know how everyone works together. There's nothing that I'm really wanting/needing to happen here. Just want everyone to post and see how it goes. Raiha (I will always call you that lol), and no that is not how I meant by rolling. My character does not have that interest. I don't know about yours, but it's not going to happen from my guy. And no, he's not gay :p

So, like, no one's ever used someone else's idea before? Like, this is so totally new?! Oh, but don't forget this isn't the first time she's done something outrageous like this before! What about Gwen's vision of Alice? That was pretty wicked, and never been repeated/"used" before. :p Teasing aside, Gwen's gotten very strange over the past few years. She frightens me sometimes, and her perfume does indeed stink. The "L" she used for her line of BO-smelling perfume de toilet (literally) is just as funky as she is, so what. It's just marketing. I'm so sure that manga/anime doesn't do anything remotely similar.

It’s fucking hot here. Let’s forget the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the heat, but let’s focus on the fact that we find ourselves in Texas. The biggest asshole state, ever. Maybe it’s because I’m an East Coast junky, but this place is a shithole and the people here are equally worthless. No wonder they need us for this small bounty. But hey, money’s money. Times have gotten a little rougher, and our reputation isn’t helping. The group is getting hungry for bigger fish. I wish it could be better…but here we are. In Texas, chasing a small minnow with five starving mouths. The guys, and girls, aren’t happy with the winnings. So, that just makes this trip all the more tense. Angela Hernandez. We will get you, rip you to shreds, and take every lousy penny your pathetic bounty has offered. I won’t let my gang starve to death for your stupidity! Goddamn it’s so fucking hot here. ”Yo, Grim. You wanna let me read some of that soap opera you’ve been writing?” Mr. B tossed an empty coffee cup into the back seat. ”Nah, man. I’m afraid you’d weep your lil’ eyes out,” Grim smirked, folding his small binder closed. The car roared with laughter as Mr. B shot Grim a fierce look in the rearview mirror. Lily spun around in her seat, right next to the cocky driver, flashing him a devilish grin. ”What are you looking at, woman?” “So nice to see such soft feelings from Mr. B,” her silky accent floated. ”You want to see these soft feelings, Lily? I’ll be more than happy to oblige you!” arrogantly he groped himself and gave the Korean a wink. ”You’re disgusting,” Lace uttered, staring out of the window, ”Pull this hunk of junk over so I can vomit.” Grim smiled, biting on his pen. His eyes flickered back and forth between the two, seeing Mr. B’s reaction. He merely rolled his eyes and came to a red light. Alex groaned, undoubtedly annoyed, and turned to Grim. ”Any tips on this Angela broad? We’ve been on this case for two days, and I seriously want to get the hell out of this state before I commit to a criminal act,” Alex stretched his arms and pressed the palms of his hands up against the ceiling of the car. ”Yes, actually. I got an anonymous call from a ‘friend’ of hers. He gave us an address we might find her. Mr. B is driving us there now,” Grim opened his window. ”Finally, some action,” Lace cooed.

Betrayers

Starwind
silpheed
Cyriel
Betrayed

Athena
Neuvoxraiha
The Law-

inwardscream
Malkov, sorry dude. If you have an issue with my not choosing you, please feel free to PM me. All right people, the RPG will be up shortly. I'll edit my post in the Backstage as to what we will be doing first. So, once that is up, then I'll post the thread. Once you see the RPG up, be sure to go look in the Backstage thread to see what the agenda is for the start of the RPG. Here is my character: Name- “Grim” Age- 28 Gender- Male Appearance- [see attachment] Role- Thief, fighter, ex-law enforcement…ex-leader My story? Well, I was born and raised roughly in the Boston, Mass. Had the typical upbringing of a third class, Irish household. Both parents worked two, and sometimes three, jobs to make ends meet. Me and my sister had to pretty much fend for ourselves. Well, I did most of the “fending”. She was three years younger, and definitely couldn’t keep her stand in the streets. Then the worst hit us at the ages of 14 and 11; our parents died in a car accident. We were bumped around from foster home to foster home. I fought and struggled to take care of Marie. Which ultimately lead to thievery. Had all sorts of trouble with the law, but cleaned my slate by serving time doing the thing I couldn’t stand; being a police officer. See, I had two options: do time in jail, or do time in service. I couldn’t do my sister any good in prison, so, I became a pig. Gave her a better, and more comfortable life. I loved her dearly. More than anything. She was my life. She died at the age of twenty, no thanks to the jealous, mother fucking bastard of a human being. By this time, I gave up on my police department. They did nothing. I went my own way, as a rogue… I started bounty hunting to find the man who murdered my sister. It just went from there. My name became reputable, and I ended up getting jobs. I will find any man, put them behind bars…or make them disappear, sometimes. What happened to me? I’ve been betrayed, so I’m trying to survive and justify my innocence. Am I surprised? Not really. It’s happened before. Been ditched at a job, called out during a job. But…something about this time really gets me, you know? This isn’t right, and I am going to find out why.
Don't get me wrong, people that let alcohol or any other substance mess up their lives have obviously made huge mistakes, but it's not fair to classify them as horrible people. Addiction is a powerful thing. Worst of all is how suddenly it can appear, without any warning signs. There are people that have genetic predispositions to addiction that don't even know it. Having a few drinks with friends from time to time can quickly lead some people down the road of addiction. It's quite horrible. And it takes an unbelievable amount of willpower to break that addiction. And let's face it, people are weak. So don't be so quick to classify everybody that lets their personal lives get away from them because of addiction a "horrible person."
My oldest half-brother is an alcoholic. His father was not. My/Our mother is not a drinker, either. This disease isn't always hereditary, of course. I'm not doubting, or going against your idea of addiction. It does happen at any time, even without gentetics. Addiction is terrible, and equally hard to break. It can be done with help and support. My brother, to me, is a "horrible person". He chose his addiction over his family and loved ones, and hurt many people along the way. He knew his consequences, lost his jobs, ruined his marriage, was always so drunk that his wife would take his kids and come over to my family's house for fear of him trying something stupid. No matter how hard his wife tried, she couldn't even help him. He refused to go to AA classes because he believed he was in complete control of his drinking. He ended up in the hospital and jail cells dozens of times before his wife filed for divorce. Not doing this helped him. He moved back to California, and instead of thinking "Oh, damn, alcohol ruined my marraige and drove me away from my daughters." and cleaning himself up, he continued on his chosen path of addiction. People who choose what they decide to do [in the case of smoking and drinking], and depend upon it, sicken me. And I think they are horrible people. People who choose to smoke blunts every chance they get, pick a bottle up every time they're thirsty, and make that their priority in life. Those are the horrible people, and I have no sympathy for them. I've been around too many potheads and drunks who could do so much more with their lives, and watched them flush everything down the drain. Why? Why would a person deliberately destroy their lives? Over alcohol, or pot. My brother was an awesome brother when he was sober. Which made it so painful knowing that he chose alcohol over anything. I've known people who are potheads, and who were so amazingly wonderful when they weren't smokin' it up. It's disgusting, and a waste. Now, as far as legalizing weed. I've said it before, I could care less. I don't associate with people who waste their lives on it, and therefor it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Legalizing it won't make a difference, because people do it now. And that argument of "Legalizing it will make a difference because there are people who won't do it because it's illegal." is bull. Those people just need the excuse. If they really wanted to try pot, they'd do it. Kids smoke cigarettes, even though they know it's wrong and it will kill you. They still flippin' do it anyway. And the kids who don't smoke at the age of 12 or whatever, the kids who say "Parents won't let me", still end up doing it behind they're parent's back. PS- Heaven's Cloud, I am happy to see you back. I don't recall ever having talking with you, but I did miss seeing your posts.

Okay, how this will work is we'll do one or two jobs [depending on how posts flow in the RPG] before getting to the "twist". During this time, while we're doing the little job[s], I want silpheed, Cyril, and Starwind to communicate with each other via PM about how they plan on turning. You can put little spins in your individual posts to give "clues" as to the rivalry amongst my character. Kinda like "Yeah, sure, Grim. This is going to be the last time." You three MUST communicate and coordinate. Because you three will be the only ones who really know why you did what you did until later in the RPG when I'll call it out. We'll all use this thread to post quick questions, comments, suggestions, all that stuff. Now! For our first assignment. Bounty- Subject- Angela Hernandez Stats-

30-years-old
5'6"
150 lbs
Hispanic, long black hair
Wanted for armed robbery, attempted murder, assault of a deadly weapon on law enforcement, grand theft auto, and resisting arrest. Warrent issued by State of Texas. Bring criminal in alive, and relatively unharmed, to Texas State Troopers Headquarters in Houston. Death of criminal is intolerable, and will not be rewarded. Reward for the bounty of Angela Hernandez is $50,000.

This RPG will contain graphic nature. Watch for the language, and violence. Jacks & Aces There once was five of us. Everyone had their negative, and sometimes hateful, opinions, and everyone had their special bonds. Yet, we all seemed to get along, despite our differences. Even still, there was one element that was not taken for granted; and that was the element of trust. We depended on one another, but not one of us mongrels would put our own life in the others? hands. We would find out the hard way. But, as our lives would have it, we always had the difficult path. Fend for yourself, but don?t leave another behind. Take what you can get, but never too much. That is our motto. This was the way of the modern day cowboy; the bounty hunter. _________________________________________________ This is an RPG about, you guessed it, bounty hunting. A group of five, very well orchestrated bounty hunters. They call themselves ?The Rough?, due to the fact that despite their clever takes, they are all rough around the edges. Each of them unique and with their own skeletons?it was a matter of time before shit hit the fan. If you got the impression, something bad happens to this awkward friendship. What they were always paranoid about finally happened, during a job to their dismay. Betrayal. Three of the five turned on their comrades. This time, differences couldn?t be settled, and tempers flared. Was it about the cash? Was it about a power struggle? Was it desperation? Perhaps a mix of all three. What better catalysts to spark a mutiny? What I?m looking for in this RPG is that the story develops along the way. Of course, there is a plot. And that is for three people to sort of come to a council and plan to conduct a mutiny. The fourth person is to go through with the plan up until the last minute, and try to help the fifth bounty hunter. In result, they too will be turned on. The two don?t get away easily, of course, and have to outrun not just their betrayers, but the law as well. Now, I?m not going to go into specifics about the three conspirator?s plot because I?d like some creativity and team work. So the three people who decide to take this route will have to conduct their plan amongst each other. Which I?d like to see in the RPG, but the actual rough drafts and ideas I would like for the three to carry out through Private Messaging. One of you three shall designate who reports to the group, and to myself. Even though I like the element of surprise, I?d like to be able to see if the plan will work or totally destroy the RPG. I?ll say one thing that your guys? plot will have to revolve around; you turn the leader in during the job. Of course, I?d like to be one of the two other characters. If someone wishes to be the leader, please inform me via Private Message. Keep in mind that if you are the leader, you?ll still have to okay things with me. The two of us will have to try to plot against our betrayers, in efforts to set things straight with the law?while trying to run away and live to fight another day. How this RPG is going to start, and how the mutiny starts, will be run a little differently. I will make an Underground thread where we will get our ?reports?. That?s where we?ll get our job. At first, to get us all in the swing with each other, I?ll post some random, small job. That way we can see how the group works..and see everyone?s unraveling patience. Then once that job is done, I?ll post the next. The RPG is set in modern day, with a twist of futuristic technology. Sort of like I, Robot. And as for how the story runs, think of The Italian Job. Only it?s two against three, rather than several against one. Sign-Ups are pretty simple. Try to keep them realistic, not to ?anime-ish?. There is one other slot that?s out of the bounty group. There should be one person who is the ?law?. Someone who helps the two good guys. Your sign up will be relatively the same. For the Bounty Hunters Name- Age- Gender- Appearance- Role- (This is your skill. IE, explosives, computer hacking, expert driver, etc) Where you came from- Why are you here? (What got you into bounty hunting) What is your purpose? (This is where you get to explain your character?s personality, and what side they wish to choose. Be the betrayer, or the loyal.) For the Law Name- Age- Gender- Appearance- Why are you helping?- (You?re the law, so why are you helping the people who supposedly ?did it??) I don?t care what form you use to describe your character. Story form, by the sign-up, however..just hit all key points. Any questions? PM me.

You peeps need to take a chill pill. I'm sure those are still legal ^_~ Name-calling and stereotyping isn't getting anyone anywhere except to paths of anger and irrelevance to the topic. Personally, people smoke pot/grow pot everywhere anyway--whether if it's legal or not--and no one really does much about it. So, why not? I could care less because I don't have any interest in smoking. It wouldn't phase me in the least bit. And I don't see why it's no different than drinking alcohol. I think it should be legal, but with consequences like alcohol. We aren't prohibited for drinkin, but we are punished for drinking and driving. So, if you smoke pot, stay home or wherever you're at. No smoking in public places...which is pretty much universal in the US, anyway.
