  1. Just realize that there are many people that are afraid of revealing that they love anime, it is all part of this typical American stereotype that regulates all peer pressure in Schools. There may be many people that are the same as you, just not revealing their secret pasttime. I encourage you to get the strength up and ask them, there may be a couple in your group that watch anime, and are just not saying anything. Either way, if they are true friends, then you will have the same friends regardless of what you do, you may even gain a few by showing another facet of your personality.
  2. Moderation is basically a law of life, your time is worth so much per hour, and if you used all your spare time on 1 thing, then scarcity damages the other activities. So, if you use Moderation, Anime should have no major detrimental effect on someone.
  3. I second James as well, I love fortune cookies more than the fortune inside. Other than that, besides mysteriously dropping red meat a year ago, I am not beyond the average I guess, just don't find red meat appealing anymore, but chicken and fish are great!
  4. A Japanese Animator has as much ability to watch EEE as anyone has of watching the 100th Episode of InuYasha, in the States. It can be done, so don't use that as an example of coincidence. I however thend to like the thought that they are original characters though.
  5. I love Princess Mononoke, my father used to teach me that as long as you treated fiction as fiction then there was nothing to be concerned about. So basically, I will not be condemned to fire if I watch Anime, lol.....
  6. Orien Xel, are you watching Crest of the Stars on TechTV, if so, there is nothing cut or edited from the episodes themselves. TechTV does however have a tendency to cut anime Openning or Endings...
  7. Thought I would revive a thread, see if anything came from it.... I enjoy Betterman, I really like the last couple episodes where they had to go to ModeWarp HQ, a very interesting Horror Anime, as I would call it.
  8. Excellent series with a decent fanbase, I like it almost as much as Evangelion, and am rewatching it on TechTV for the 4th time now, I think.
  9. No Clue what I would be, any input.... Clothes: What comes out of my dresser Music: Musicals, Classical, Classic Rock, Techno, J-Pop TV: Star Trek, TechTV, Nick@Nite Movie: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek Planned Profession: Psychology or Anthropology and Foreign Studies Major Interests: Reading, Talking, Anime, and Personal Study Any clues on me from this descrip?
  10. I am so scared of spider that I spray my house all the time, and keep the edges of the rooms clean. I don't know, maybe my ancestors had some problems with spiders, lol. Too many legs for me to count, like I count that high, j/k
  11. I believe in angels as a seperate being created by a God. I am a Christian, and have done some minor bible study, and it often mentions that God created Angels and Men, not just one. Oh well, the entire Bible is open to a massive interpretation fest, and I will not force my interpretation on a soul, just share it to those who ask, ;)
  12. I would eliminate frustration, due to the fact that I am normally a very calm person, until someone repeatedly messes something up, then I get frustrated. I am a very goal oriented person, as well as a perfectionist to boot, lol.
  13. I absolutely love Crest of the Stars, it has a massive collection of information, if you hunt. Crest of the Stars was actually a Sci-Fi Novel in Japan, and the author created a whole language and culture for the Abh. Really, just as huge as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, if you watch it all, :)
  14. In Response to Queen Asuka: Julia and Spike are a married couple that are seperated through this sort of "Mafia War." The basic outline of the series for Spike is the never-ending search for Julia, but as time continues his entire outlook is changed. Hope that helped, didn't want to do any spoilers.
  15. .Hack, Lain, or Bubblegum Crisis could become good movies. I could see some difficulty with Lain, since Lain is all-powerful, but anyway....
  16. Lain was one of the best series I have ever seen. I will have to say that "Infornography" was a very "strobe" like episode, lol. I do recommend that you see Lain, unless you would rather connect now.....
  17. Using psychology it is easy to comprehend, it is simply the fact that each persons views of you creates a completely alternate you. If you were to think I were a mass murderer, then in a sense I just became one, because that is what someone thinks I am. Now with me personally I have a different philosophy, I believe that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of me I am unique, but I still love the endings to Eva so much. Be sure you have seen the movies before talk about the series too much, the movies can completely change your opinion of the series.
  18. Maybe a week, most likely not that much, I have a tendency to go on Anime marathons every 4 days or so, on those days it is not uncommon to lose a lot of sleep, if not all....
  19. I enjoyed CB, the mixture of the final scene, coupled with "Blue" in the background really hit me hard emotionally. That is one of the most memorable endings to anything I have ever seen!
