Judges can throw out frivolous cses, it's called no grounds. The higher courts and appelate courts sometimes don't even accept cases at all, so there is kind of a failsafe... As for how do the KNOW it's the same strand... Anthrax is a living organism...therefor having DNA. ...moneygrubbing whore... I agree!!! and no, I do not want to pay for her pain with my tax money. Hey, TN, as for you suing the gov't, wouldn't it be that everyone else in the country sues the school for all of our pain and suffering??? What are some other stupid cases that you've heard of?? There was a period of time, when prisons were BIG in the news (overcrowding and such things) that prisoners were suing over various things claimimng abuse, like I heard one guy sued because they wouldn't let him have seconds on macaroni and kool-aid...

Name-Metta Age-16 Gender-Female Sign-Saggitarius Weapon-staff and crossbow and arrows Abilities-A very capable fighter, basic fire throwing spells from staff Features-tall for a girl, 5'10''ish. black hair with streaks of blue. She wears black pants and tunic that are accented in blue and dark red. Persona-Hot tempered and easily angried. she is very defensive and always on her guard. She's got trust issues, and is always on task. She takes on too much herself out of fear that others will either not get it done or not do it right. Her constant companion is her dog, Rue, who looks suspiciously wolfish... Bio-Abandoned as an infant, Metta has lived her entire life in the streeets of a small farm village. While the people there accepted her and offered to take her in she shunned them, accepting only what she needed from them, and always paying them back with some kind of work. She rescued Rue one day from farmers trying to kill him as a pup. She is apt at finding or making shelters and food when needed. I'll have to finish later, my roomie needs the computer for home work.

Dagger- I agree with your assessment of American Standards. When America was founded, people gave up everything and came here penniless for the hope of a better life, and what has that life turned into? Trampling the penniless on your way to the top. It would be too much of a blanket statement to say there is no or even little honor left here. I know some people who I think to be very honorable. They are people I choose to call my friends, because we have similar values, and their are probably more stringent than mine. These people are going to be teacher and family members, striving everyday of the rest of their lives for financial stability. In order to help further the human existence and give knowlege to the future generations, they will be underpaid and underappriciated. Off the soapbox... there are honorable people, I think. They are just overshadowed in the social consciousness by the dishonorable ones. Lawyers have horrible reputations for being moneygrubbing and dishonest, but what about the ones who log hundreds of pro-bono hours per year?? The media focuses on the bad and dishonorable, therefore we don't see as much of the positive. I am rambling and I will shut up now (sorry)

She is saying it is the gov't fault because it may have been government's anthrax. It is almost identical to a strain that mysteriously disappeared from a gov't facility. She also is "angry" that there has not been a suspect named after two years. Let's see, how long did it take for them to find Ted Kazinsky(sp?) the unibomber who sent bombs throught the mail, and they only caught him because his brother turned him in.

Did you guys hear the widow of someone killed in the Anthrax attacks after 9/11 is suing the United States gavernment for $50million!!!! She is suing the gov't because the strain of Anthrax is thought to have come from a government lab. She is the first to sue the government, there are a few people suing the Postal Service, but for nowhere near that amount. I am sorry that her husband died in that terrible way, but wrongful death suit were originated to compensate families for earning lost and help them support themselves in the aftermath of a wrongful death. Sure, there should be some room for pain and suffering, but would her husband have made anywhere near $50 million over the rest of his life?? I don't think so. I wonder where she thinks that money will come from... Bye-bye tax relief. Let me know what you think.

I agree that once again, someone is making up for a lack of parental supervision. In my opinion, MSN is taking the only viable action for them, esp. fiscally...and here's why: They are a business, and this is a free service. To put up more security would cost millions of dollars, and while yes, Microsoft has millions of dollars, they want millions more, not to spend millions... Therefore, in this profit driven corporate world, Microsoft has opted to charge for it, millions more not to mention, the day someone sued for their daughter being killed and stalked they would win... I know, there would be a lengthy court battle that would drive up the cost of my software, but they would win. So, in short (too late) microsoft is thinking fiscally, not just for children's safety. They have found a way to make more money instead of potentially losing millions...

Meteora, girls play with the heads of men because it can be fun, for those that can be heartless... Sometimes we don't even realize **looks around furtively** elf_gurl_kagome--what you said was rude and inappropriate, even though it was not directed towards me, I took offense to it. Meteora started this thread to solicit advice, and until your thread, while some advice had been stated somewhat harshly, it was constructive, whereas your post was, in my less than humble opinion, at least rude, it was inappropriate and spammy. Meteora, you probably have a long time left to live, and in that long time, you will meet numerous people, one of whom may be the right one for you, or they may not. My advice is to make yourself as complete as possible, find yourself and who you are, that way you have something to bring to a relationship, and you are not looking for something. Relationships are about sharing between two people, not one person being needy.

Terra, I wouldn't mind being you. You have made a big impression in a short time it seems, and it's a good one. Most big impressions in a short time are not positive. And Baron... you are a Butabara, even though I don't know what exactly that is... I'll be you. Not to mention... I dig you Hagar banner...

I like to listen to music while I read, and therefore if I hear a song i listened to doring a book I want to read that book again or if I do re-read something, I associate it with the song and I listen to that CD again, it is an endless cycle. Anything by Jeff Buckley makes me think of my boyfriend, who introduced me to his wonderful voice, and Jordan (boyfriend) is very sentimental, like Jeff Buckley's songs...

I am all about 2 and 3, one I really don't care one way or another, but I agree w/ Black_Phoenix, an HTML guide is an excellent idea, I don't know it at all either.

I think I would be Drix D'Zanth or Transic nerve. They both have a quality of intelligence to their post that I admire and, yes, I'll admit it, am slightly jealous of. I wonder if thinking so much makes them tired? I also would like to be Raiha, she also is well spoken, and she writes really well.

Drix- good thread!!! Hilary is EVIL. I think that TN made a point in we are all corrupt, but she carries this privilege a little too far... While I am a democrat, I could not bring myself to vote for hilary. I think that the MOM analogy by Semjaza Azazel is right on, she make my skin crawl. I think the John McCain is my favorite politician!!! Read up on him and his platforms if you don't know him, or Alan Keyes!!! Hooray for McCain and Keyes! As for Bush Jr... I voted for him, so I can complain about him...Baron Samedi had it right in the thought that he is just not responsible. I think that the Iraq war was a justified war and you will never hear me (read me) say that Sadaam didn't need to be taken out of power, but Bush rationalized himself into a bad situation with the rest of the world...

So, DeathBug, I'm a little unclear, you REALLY liked this one, huh?lol Kidding... anyway, I really like the first 2 or 3 episodes, they caught my attention, and I really liked the last one, the ones in between, I can really come or go on, I missed a lot of them, but wheneveer I came back and watched, I didn't really feel like I had missed anything... The more we discuss it, the more I am starting to agree with DB, it's somewhat of a hit and miss for me, this one goes foul...

That is an awsome price for all that quantity... I hope it is good quality.

Your poems are good, but they are sorrowfully short. I think I like the summer winds one best. What's the rating scale here? 8/9, I guess, it seems the most personal of the three

Sign Up My first RPG; Dark Forest: An Endless Night
Maully replied to Ryoko T.D.C.'s topic in Theater
Also my first RPG... be forgiving... Name: Ungaga Age: 26 Appearance: Tan, long and unkept brown hair, he is tall and ruggedly hansom. he wears a brown tunic and is never without his staff. Bio: A skilled fighter, he was recruited by the King, when he turned it down he was ambushed by many fighters. During the battle his family was killed by minions of the Evil King. He returned home to find them dead. He has vowed to avenge the death of his family, and seeks the Evil King. He is simply following the trail of destruction when he comes upon Toan, who reminds him of his son, or what his son might have grown to be. Quiet and brooding, he practices fighting skills with his staff and spears in all spare moments. It appears he doesn't like anyone in particular, but he is very protective of all group members, especially Toan. -
I don't know what it's all about, but I think that Blue is a rather bland name for something that tried to wipe out the human race... They should really be called something more sinister.

Queen Asuka, I really find it hard to believe that you've only seen one session of CB, you've seen everything else, lol. I agree that you should DEFINITELY check this one out, it is artistically beautiful. The plot line, writing and depth of characters is also very impressive. check it out, you'l like it...;)

that hilarious, QA. I don't know why. I liked the first episode, and it was redundant for a while, but I really liked the ending, as I already posted. Everyone loves it off CN because it's something new for them. I hate the animation as well, it does nothing for me, but I found the story interesting,
the Earth attacking humans for over-populating
. I think people are crazy about it now because CN is one their few, if not only anime outlet at this time.

I think cliques are a big deal for guys, they just don't call them cliques... They are "my boys" or whatever, but boys are accomplished cliquers too, I assure you.

Maybe you should put
Legato dies
in spoilers, as you can see, several people who have visited this thread haven't seen the show. Just a suggestion, you can laugh at me if you want to...
