1. The only flash game that matters is N, period. The first GTA is also free as abandonware. I forget where it's at, but you can find it easily enough by searching. As for FarCry and PoP? That's awesome, and I'm sure I'll have to give both a download.

Top Guitarists
I think this list is about right; http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/5937559/the_100_greatest_guitarists_of_all_time/
The only thing Rolling Stone ever gets "about right" on their lists is managing to keep the numbers in order.

Hard Gay

One of the few pieces of distinctly Japanese culture that I really enjoy, for sure. You can't go wrong with Hard Gay. :d
4. Oh good, I was worried nobody would agree with me that Axe smells awful. I guess they tried to strike a balance between appealing odors and manly ones, and it just ended up smelling like someone with bad BO trying unsuccessfully to disguise it with cologne they got from a gas station checkout counter. And no, Lunox, they're not putting it on too much; the smell is just that damn strong.
5. Gym class will never be the same. OR: Hey, maybe next they can tackle classes based on race or gender! Because apparently, people aren't smart enough to learn about each other by actually interacting.

Man vs. Wild

Oh no, I won't let that show hide under the "it's just for demonstration and instruction!" guise. It deliberately tried to make everyone believe that Bear was really pitting himself against nature with no help. But when it turns out our brave adventurer is hiding lifejackets under his shirt, faking stunts and gross meals, and staying in hotels at night, you can't help but become thoroughly bored with the show. Survivorman, from what I've seen, is really where it's at.
7. Seconded. Adium (get it at adiumx.com) is one of the biggest reasons I wish I still had a Mac. And iChat is one of the biggest fumbles in instant messaging history.
8. *reads the first two paragraphs and skips the rest* High school is your last chance to enjoy a lot of freedom from responsibility until you retire, and then there's all the bustle about whether social security will even provide enough for you to ever retire, so I say enjoy it while you can. Not "coast through classes and flunk out" enjoyment, but don't waste every hour of your day, and especially not every hour of your summer, working towards someone else's arbitrary idea of a "successful life"--i.e., a life validated through financial security. If that does sound good to you, then fine, but make sure it's your own brain making that decision.

The Hip Hop Genre

I'm at this terrible place where I like hip-hop enough to want to listen to more of it, but not quite enough that I'm willing to pursue it. So that pretty leaves my entire spectrum of taste in the genre limited to a small handful of albums from De La Soul, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Deltron 3030, Edan (Semjaza did a good job of spreading interest in him, I think), and Gravediggaz.
10. Well, I hope all you ***holes like coal. >:'(
11. Mine's a 60 gig Toshiba Gigabeat that I wouldn't actually have, save that I did some talking to a sales clerk at an electronics store, and discovered it and a 30 gig model that had been listed in the computer system (and lost in the back room of the store) for probably about a year, slowly depreciating in price until my dad and I nabbed them then and there for $75 and $50 respectively lol. It was a bargain-hunter's dream come true, honestly. Of course, given that I got it almost a year ago, and it had been sitting around at least a year before that, I'm sure you can imagine that its features aren't really that outstanding. It only has support for mp3 and wav files, doesn't play video, and the (almost mandatory) software that comes with it is awful. That, and it runs slow enough to be irritating (titles scroll slower than they should, takes a few seconds to switch songs sometimes, etc.). But even given that, I'd probably say I like it at least as much as the iPods that were out when this thing was new. The industry-standard iPod Click-Wheel Ripoff on it, a pressure-sensitive plus sign called a plus-touch, is actually really efficient, and I like it quite a bit more than the click-wheel. Toshiba really thought through this part of the player, assigning different actions to pressing on one of the points of the plus-touch once, holding it down, or sliding your finger across it in different directions. Better than just moving your finger clockwise or counter-clockwise, at any rate. And of course there's the GUI, which features really big, ugly symbols pretty much everywhere, cutting large portions of text off (this is why the slow text-scrolling is such a big deal), and about five to ten pixels of wasted space around the border of each element on the screen. But hey, it's a big screen and it was probably at least somewhat early in allowing users to use their own backgrounds and choose from a variety of screen layouts. So I still can't find it in myself to hate it for that. Oh, and naming your mp3 player? Meh. I'd call it by its product name, a Gigabeat, but that sounds even worse than naming it, and using the manufacturer name, Toshiba, is too vague and clunky-sounding. Always calling it "my mp3 player" quickly becomes too much of a mouthful. So usually, I just try not to refer to it directly at all. I'll just say, "Hold on, I've got to go get my music," or, "Hold on, lemme go get something." It's worked decently so far.
12. Guys, come on, he just might be right.
13. Gmail, and usually with the Gmail Notifier for my taskbar. Although I don't use email too often in the first place, I do like to know exactly when a new one comes in, and the Notifier does that without adding another heavy process to my slow, clunky computer.
14.
Oh, PT is still around. He's just become blue and volatile.
But aren't mystique and legend so much more fun than reality?
15. Most people who don't know me think I'm always really quiet, and maybe even that I don't know how to properly relate to people, haha. Really, though, I just tend to be quiet when I don't know someone that well, or if I don't like you but want to be polite about getting you to shut up. I've pretty much mastered the art of ending conversations almost before they begin (it's all in the one-syllable replies). All in all, though, I'm as easy to get along with as everyone else when you get to know me.
and the biggest misconception that most people have about me is that I'm an ignorant, stupid dumbass with no brain whatsoever.
[20:05] pingpongsmiley: ... I really can't pick the right line [20:06] no futurist: Yeah, I'm sitting at the reply page thinking about it. [20:06] pingpongsmiley: Yeah, I keep typing an erasing stuff [20:06] pingpongsmiley: I have tried several ways of saying that he's making it too easy for us
16. If this were a MyOtaku hall of fame, I'd have a pretty hard time deciding who to nominate, what with all the awesome people who I got to know there. As it is, I can pick from a much smaller pool of people I'd consider outstanding on OB (EDIT: not to say people on OB aren't as good as those on myO, lol) and say PoisonTongue (among many other aliases). Love him or hate him, Alex had some pretty great debate threads with people such as Drix D'Zanth, and as far as I can tell, they basically set the format for pompous, insulting, tl;dr debates on OtakuBoards. And that's one part of the boards that just hasn't been nearly as fun or interesting (or even as common) since his account was banned.
17. Any band with more than one member having a poofy beard, thick-rimmed glasses, and/or playing an unconventional instrument, such as Broken Social Scene, Dr. Dog, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Somehow they all seem to exude the same hip, tongue in cheek, trying-too-hard attitude, and it kills me. Have I actually heard any of their music? Oh, hardly, but I'm still at that point in my life where I enjoy being irrational and unaccepting. Also, the Beatles, for vaguely similar reasons.
18. Whoa, calm down people, no reason to be alarmed. That's BugMeNot, a site that allows users to post dummy accounts/passwords (free accounts, at least) that other users can use to login to bypass compulsory and possibly unsecure registrations. It's a great site, I use it all the time. It just appears that people have been creating dummy accounts for OB, although I have no idea what purpose that could serve, and if the admins don't like it (and it does seem like the intent could be fishy), they can have their site removed from the database by contacting BMN. Seriously guys, make those few clicks to find out what you're looking at instead of freaking out.
19.
HaHA! That's awesome. I actually have a bunch of fortune cookie slips in my wallet, as well. I always save them, and... forget about them. None of mine are that clever, though a few of them are winners at the "in bed" game.
Yeah, I used to keep all of the ones I get, but half the time I forgot to put them in there, and there were really never any other great zingers (although I'm sure that would have changed if I had been playing the "in bed" game while reading them.)
20. Left pocket: Cell phone, usually. But if I have my mp3 player on me, it's in there and my phone is relegated to the right pocket. Right pocket: Sometimes cell phone, of course, and keys, complete with Homestar keychain (word to ya, Des) and 1gb flash drive. Back-left pocket: Wallet, with cash, various assorted cards, and a Chinese fortune that says--and I am not making this up--"Ignore previous cookie."
21.
Anyways, in case any of you are curious, remember Deltron 3030? New album dropping in 2008, I believe
Really? That's awesome news, I can't wait. :D:D:D
22.
That incident with the stolen phone was pretty funny.
Ooh. I was going to say The Complaint thread, but that definitely takes a far second to the Razr incident. That guy was scared out of his wits. XD
23. David Bowie, King Crimson, and Mission of Burma, irrespectively. Not that they're putting out the best material that's out there today, but in their heydays they put out the best **** ever, and since they're still around, I suppose that makes them the best artists today. Oh, and I think the Pixies are technically still together-ish, but not for long or something (right or wrong, anyone?). So they're hanging in by a thread there, I guess.
24. I'm usually above laughing at videos like these, but there's just no escaping it when you watch this. This kid so had it coming, and the sounds from the bottle rocket just push it over the edge (warning: 18+ video for explicit butt violence): http://youtube.com/watch?v=9em3Hen1XEA I think by now everyone's seen Charlie, but hey, it's worth posting just in case. Don't wanna miss this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q5im0Ssyyus
25. I don't think anyone's made this argument yet, and I think it would really go a ways to reveal just what degree of strictness the Adventure Square rules should take: 33,858 little bitty pixels. If you don't like a particular thread, 33,858 pixels is all you have to avoid to stay happy.
It's a good thing that the Adventure Square mods weren't at my home when I was watching Mission Impossible 3 because the opening of the movie begins with the plot in progress, moves to a cliffhanger and then goes back to show the viewer what lead up to the opening event. Had the Adventure Square mods had their finger on my DVD power button, I would have never known what would have happened.
Not a great argument, since any sane person would've done the same. Friends don't let friends watch Mission Impossible sequels.
