Sorry, Ben, but I just wanna say that the "if this is right" thing makes up for a looooooong wait for new messages. That's why I did it; because before that there were really long pauses before a question was made.
-
It's a kid's show, because the American version of it is being piloted to kids. If you check out the original version of this show, you'll see a lot more violence, and even a bit of nudity (check out the uncensored Harpy Lady, for example!). The fact that it's animated makes American companies want to pitch it to children, because children are generally more drawn to cartoons. That's how it is over here in the States, but in Japan, even adults get into 'toons. You'd be surprised as to how much is cut out from the original versions of most anime shows. That's because almost all of them were pitched to young adults in Japan.

You are correct, Ben. Giltia is the answer; you may proceed.
-
If M.D.K. means Dragon Master Knight (or its other name), I'll count it. You may proceed, Tom. Though, I'm still not sure if my previous answer was correct. We'll just wait and see.

I'm guessing it's a Wind monster. It's most likely not a Light monster, and they needed different main-types to summon Five God Dragon, and all the other main types were taken by the other deck masters. But that would be silly, considering that it powers up WATER monsters. But that's my guess; if I'm wrong, skip my question: Q.) Name all of the Fusion monsters that Yugi has EVER summoned. (You can count the ones featured in Japanese episodes, as long as you include spoiler tags.) P.S. Circeus, THANK YOU. ^^;;;

On my card, it has Hades pointing at a screaming... something. I can't tell if its a man or a Fiend. And the effect reads, "Downgrade the monster equipped with this card by 2 Levels." So it's not Cost Down, it's something else. I'll get the name later... Anyway, I'll try my luck with this question: A.) -Sangan -Witch of the Black forest (x2) -Cannon Soldier (x2) -Millenium Shield -Ring of Magnetism -(Ugh; I hate forgetting card names; it has a guy with a bomb, and it makes the controller discard their entire hand to the grave to destroy all monsters on the field- so it's pretty much like Final Destiny. But sadly, I forget its name.) -Shadow Ghoul Q.) Name the only other duelist than Rebecca (thus far in the English dubbed series) to have used Witch of the Black Forest.
-
Dude, I HAVE Cost Down. It has Hades on it; it's probably either a misprint of the pic or the English version of it... anybody got a pic? Anyway, thanks for the OK. My question can go through now.

Okay, I'm going to take a stab at this: Dark Ruler Hades Cost Down Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler Bark of Dark Ruler Deal With Dark Ruler [The one Johnson played against Joey; it boosts the power of fusion monsters. I forget its name, but I know it's a term used in trials.] Skill Drain (Ha, ha! This one's my favorite: "I'm melting! Meeelting... Oh, what a world...") If I've missed any, then I'm a bit embarassed 'cause Hades is one of my fave monsters. ^^ Oh, and also, if I'm wrong, skip this question: Q.) What is the original/Japanese name of Cave Dragon?
-
I'll count Melchid, but there's just one more (two actually, if you count the ritual magic card needed to summon The Masked Beast).
-
Okay, nobody got all of them, so let me list them: -Unfriendly Amazon (wasn't an official Amazon in Japan, but oh well) -Amazon Archers -Amazon Chain-Master -AMAZON FIGHTER (the one everybody missed) -Amazon Magician -Dramatic Rescue Now, let me give you an even harder one: Name ALL of the "Mask/Masked" cards used in the double-duel between Yugi, Kaiba, Umbra and Lumous (and yes, this does include non-monsters).
-
I'm sorry, no one has STILL gotten all of the Amazoness cards!
-
I'm sorry, that is not all of the Amazoness cards. Try again.

You were right about the previous question, Tom. A.) Kaiba first used Spirit Ryu to attack Fairy Lily, allowing Lector to power her up to 3400. He powered up Spirit Ryu by discarding two dragons, so he only lost 400 life points. Then, during the same battle phase, Kaiba sicced Twin-Headed Behemoth on Lily. Since Lector didn't have enough Life Points to power her up, she was dragon food. Q.) Name all of the Amazonesses Mai used in her duel with Marik. This includes the non-monster ones.
-
Okay. ^^ Q.) This will be a first! Following up with the random monsters in Battle City, which of these monsters was NOT seen in a Battle City crowd? A. Electric Lizard B. Maha Valio C. Twin-Headed Fire Dragon D. Sword Hunter
-
Nope, you are incorrect. Someone else will have to take the reins and try answering this correctly.
-
Alright, nobody answered this question, so I'll answer it and give a new question. A.) Legendary Fisherman cannot be affected by any Magic cards when "Umi" is in play, so when it was summoned under "A Legendary Ocean," which counts as "Umi," it should have been summoned with a Tribute. The incorrect way it was played was that its star level was dropped down to four, which is technically illegal. Now, next question: Q.) How many times has Sangan been summoned in any duel, thus far in the English dubbed version of the series?
-
It did make sense. Thank you, DeathBug. I'll remember that.
-
Actually, Solo, most people would consider Waboku to be more powerful than that, because the card doesn't say "This can only be activated when your opponent declares an attack." Many people take advantage of that, and chain it to anything that targets it or other m/t cards, like Harpies Feather Duster. You could be right though; this could strike a huge controversy. ^^
-
You're welcome. And now, I have a question. This concerns Stamping Destruction, a spell-speed 1 magic card that only works when there's a face-up dragon on my side of the field. It says that it can destroy one magic or trap card, and inflict 500 points of direct damage to the destroyed card's controller. Now, the question is this: Say I use this on my opponent's face down trap, say Waboku for example. If the opponent chains with Waboku, activating it, does the opponent still take 500 direct damage from my magic card?
-
No, she drew Shadow Ghoul; to answer the question, I think it's a trick. They didn't actually show what monster she got; it must have been either Cannon soldier or Sangan. If I'm incorrect, skip this question: Q.) How was the use of Legendary Fisherman incorrect in the duel between Yugi and Joey VS. The big five?
-
Well, that could be a good combo. If I'm correct in saying what the combo actually is, you have Spear Cretin destroyed, special summon Magician of Faith face down, and then once that's destroyed, you bring Monster Reborn back from your grave and use it to revive something like Blue-Eyes. This is a combo that's rarely done; so rare, in fact, I've never even heard of it until now. But yes, that would be a legal combo, and it can work. And it can definitely get you out of a pinch, if you need a string monster to gain control of the game. You must also ealize that Mage of Faith can also bring back useful magic cards like Harpies Feather Duster, Raigeki, Pot of Greed and Mystical Space Typhoon. Just make sure you have at least two of the Mages and the Spear Cretins. ^^
-
You're correct, Bandit. Please keep the ball rolling and ask the next question.

DeathBug, I'd like to correct you about Thunder Dragon's effect. You do not discard two to get one; you've got it backwards. Thunder Dragon's effect would give you ONE Light monster in the grave, and two in your hand. Sorry; I just had to say that... Anyway, if we're going to talk about one Chaos Monster, we might as well talk about them both (or all three, if you count Chaos Black Magician). Chaos Soldier is cool; given the ability to attack twice with a 3000-attacking monster is nothing to skawk at. However, I would have to say that Chaos Emperor Dragon is by far THE most deadly monster to go up against. Trust me, I HAVE gone up against it, just last night. A friend of mine was lucky enough to get the new Japanese booster tin by pre-order, and let me tell you, CED's effect doesn't just give your opponent an easy Yata-lock. The fact that your opponent is dealt 300 damage for EVERY SINGLE CARD THAT WAS TOSSED TO THE GRAVEYARD TO ITS EFFECT, INCLUDING YOUR OWN CARDS is a possible one-turn win! I'm telling you, they should not have put that effect in there, it is just too deadly. Not that CED is impossible to defeat, mind you. Card control owns him; all you have to do is get a card like Card Destruction, and wait for your opponent to draw CED or CS. Then, throw this baby out, and CED/CS are gone. See ya later. Sayonara. Also, the Ring of Destruction/Barrel Behind the Door combo will make your opponent think twice about using CED's effect. It's like this: Your opponent gets CED, and right before he or she activates its effect, you activate D-Ring and Barrel. It destroys CED, and your opponent takes 6000 LP damage. Now, your opponent would have the chance to activate the effect, but only if they're willing to take their LP down to a measely 1000. I don't think anybody would be that crazy, unless they have Sangan and Witch on the field. Hey, who would be crazy enough to LET them have Sangan or Witch on the field?? O_O I think I've spoken my peace: I give the Chaos monsters a solid 10; playable, but deadly enough for many people to despise their existence.

Twice; once during his duel with Big 5 member 1 (funny how I can't remember his name; I think it was Gansley), and when he tried to break through the monsters on his way to find Tea. Q.) In the duel between Joey and Yugi vs. The Big 5, what magic card was used incorrectly by Nezbit? And, explain how it was used incorrectly.

I think one Lava Golem is enough... for now. 9. Gravity Bind This may make or break the deck, because while your opponent's monsters won't be able to attack, neither will yours (unless you decide to add a few backup monsters like Injection Fairy lily). Just activate this trap, let your opponent get three monsters on the field, boom. Lava Golem. The only problem this may face is Jinzo; fortunately, we already have 3 Book of Moon, so his attacks won't be much of a threat with them.
