A friend and I started using the word 'Jabronie' about a year ago. It all started when we were playing one of the WWF/WWE Smackdown games and I remembered seeing an interview with The Rock where he called his opponent a Jabronie. I just went with it and started calling my friends character a Jabronie. For some reason we just started staring at each other for a couple of seconds and then burst out laughing. Since then, it has become my adopted word. I actually have no idea what it actually means, but it has meaning to me...sniff.

I was just wondering whether people think I should get Here Comes the Pain, or Shut Your Mouth? Which do you guys believe is the better game (keep in mind that I actually like the amount of time you have to invest into creating a character, and the blood doesn't faze me either way)?

The graphics do look pretty good, and I'm pretty happy to se Brolly in there. This could be one to look out for.
I hear you man. Playing with my brother and my best friend was a hit. Here's something many people might be interested in. There used to be a rumor, I believe originated between the releases of Sonic 2 and 3, that there was a game called Sonic Crackers. It's not about Sonic eating Crackers and from the screens I've seen (2D) Sonic and Tails are holding rings like in the ancient 32X Genesis game: Knuckles Chaotix. I don't know if its a hoax or not but if anyone knows anything about it tell me.
Sonic Crackers was going to be Sonic 4, and was set for release on Megadrive/Genesis. It was codenamed Crackers for some reason (probably to disguise the fact it was a sequel to Sonic 3 (or Sonic and Knuckles if you prefer :))). The only release available to the public (in ROM form) is very buggy, and only features two levels (that aren't very playable because they weren't finished). Many Sonic fans believe that when the 32X (another add-on for the Megadrive/Genesis) was released, Sega wanted a killer title featuring the Sonic style of gameplay, so Yuji Naka moved the idea of Sonic Crackers to the 32X, and Knuckles Chaotix was born. Note that this is just speculation - there is no concrete evidence to say this is so, but with the fact that both games use the 'combi-ring' gameplay, it is pretty safe to say that Sonic Crackers was a precursor to Knuckles Chaotix. There are a few sites somewhere that look at all the Sonic games that were never released, as well as many levels that never made the final cut. I can't remember the url at the moment, but I'll have a look around and see if I can find it...

From what I've heard, the basic story is that all of the Prince's ******** around with time has unbalanced time itself, so the prince (as its his fault everything is screwed up) takes it upon himself to right his wrongs and save Iran...sorry, I meant Persia. I've seen some fairly bad quality footage, and from what I can see it could be very interesting. One scene showed the (artist formerly know as) Prince attacking a pirate (it looked like a pirate anyway...) who changes into a sand creature in the middle of the Prince's combo. So it seems like more sand slashing will be afoot.

How so? SA2:Battle has a few extra options than SA2 (except for the online component, which was pretty useless anyway) like the more distinct differences between characters in 2P mode, more 2P levels, a slightly better Chao Garden setup with connectivity with the Sonic Advance series, the Shadow theme (which I believe was the only one you couldn't get with the DC version), and slightly better graphics. I can't really see any reason to say that the DC version is better than the GCN version, except if you are a huge Sega fanboy. BTW, I'm not trying to bag you out with this comment, as I'm a bit of a fanboy myself. But it is fairly obvious that SA2:Battle is a superior game. I actually used to believe that SA2 was a better game when I first played Battle (I felt that the grinding was a little too sensitive).
-
I was released on PSX a while ago. It didn't really have wide circulation though. A friend of mine played it and said it was average. I believe that there was also another game named 'Dragonball Z: Legends' that was supposed to be confirmed for Dreamcast and PS2, but that could've become DBZ Budokai.
-
Yeah, the Chao's in SA2 were pretty fun. I borrowed my friends copy of SA2:Battle a couple of months ago (as my Dreamcast has been pretty temperamental as of late) and had heaps of fun building up a Super Sonic uber-chao. So much fun! I was so pissed when they got rid of it for Heroes, but I can see why (with that whole GBA connection thing, and Sonic Team wanting all three versions identical)...
-
Yeah, Sonic Heroes was pretty bad. It pissed me off that to make the teams actually work, they had to tone down character's moves, or remove them altogether. Plus the fact that you'd be hanging out for a part where you could just let loose some speed with Sonic, and then be forced to stop 5 seconds later to take out some enemies with Knuckles or (*shudder*) Tails. The team system just broke up what Sonic games were supposed to stand for...crazy action at breakneck speeds. Plus, there was basically no story, they made a mockery of Mecha Sonic (which is an insult to all Sonic fans worldwide) make you lose lives when the game stuffs up (repeditively), and had boss fights that mostly relied on luck, not skill. Adding Espio back to the staple of characters was a great idea, but the rest of the Chaotix just got on my nerves. Plus I was hoping for a Team Classic (Sonic as Speed, Ray the Squirril as Fly and Mighty the Armadillo as Power) as a tribute to SegaSonic the Hedgehog (the first Sonic arcade game). Grinding was insane in parts, frustrating in most others. Characters didn't look as good as their SA2 counterparts (they looked like plastic, and lost some of their edge) and Special Stages were buggy and crap. The only level that impressed me in the slightest was Act 1 of that level with Eggman's fleet. Seeing all those damn ships surprised the hell out of me, and the initial drop and grinding session only fueled my belief that this level was made for Sonic's abilities. I was wrong. Dedicated to Tails and Knux (as are the rest). Pure boredom. The only reason that I kept this insult to harcore Sonic fans is to make sure my collection as complete as possible. Sonic Battle and Sonic Adventure 3 well and truly made up for it, though.
You can fix the voice acting by changing the voices to Japanese. The Japanese voices are excellent.
Yep, I know. But we shouldn't have to. You can also change the system language of your console to Japanese to have the Japanese voices in Sonic Heroes.

I can hear it now. I can hear the voices of all the GTA fans laughing at how stupid Rockstar are to get Ice Cube to do any voice, let alone the main character's. Although, I do agree that 50 Cent isn't much better. I just wouldn't put Ice Cube. Enough people hate him as is. He'd just bring down GTA:SA as soon as everyone heard he had anything to do with it.
I have a favorite sonic game that is not on that list i played it a gameworks ,i forget the name but it is a fighting game like tekken but it has all the characters from sonic its a fun game but i think its only i arcade but i dont know...
Yeah, it was only released as coin-op. It was called Sonic the Fighters (and sometimes Sonic Championship). People have been campaigning to try and get Sonic Team to release it on a home console for a while... Sonic is still my favourite character, even though his voice is horrible in the Adventure series (as well as Heroes). A close second is Shadow, basically because he's such a badass (especially in the Archie comics). Loved seeing him actually physically attack Robotnik/Eggman in the comics. He has a Vegeta feel to him, IMHO. Emerl would be third. I nearly cried when
Emerl died
in Sonic Battle. BTW, your missing out on a hefty amount of Sonic titles here. Where are Sonic Advance 1,2 and 3? Where's Sonic Battle? What about those MacDonalds toys (my friend would vote for them...)? If your gonna have one of these 'Your fav game' polls, you've gotta have all the games, not just some. So I'm just gonna say which are my favourites... 3D Sonic (at the moment) - Sonic Adventure 2 2D Sonic (at the moment) - Sonic Advance 3 Fav Sonic of all - Probably Sonic CD
My favorite character would have to be Knuckles just because he can beat Sonic.
Where has it been specified that Knuckles 'can beat Sonic'? From what I can recall, they've been pretty even.
Also, why hasn't SEGA done anything with the Super Emeralds seen in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles that make you able to go past Super into Hyper.
Because everyone's Hyper form was only thrown in to add something more to Sonic 3 and Knuckles. It wasn't included because it left too many loopholes in the storyline. Plus, it was pretty useless adding it for the 3D ones because Super was invincible anyway. Hyper just flashed purdy colours. :D

I agree with all those games. I haven't had the pleasure to use the GBA Player yet. Is it worth getting one if you already own a GBA?

I'm just gonna mention one game for starters: Ninja Gaiden. This is hacking and slashing at its best. If you want a comparison, I'd have to say maybe Prince of Persia (for the acrobatics) and (from what I've heard of the game) Devil May Cry for the combat. Combat can be tough, but is equally rewarding when you make it through a wave of enemies attempting to lay the smackdown on you. Combat just flows. Its hard to explain how it works well: it just does. The boss fights in Ninja Gaiden are also some of the hardest I've ever had to face. After defeating one that I had been trying to beat for hours, I yelled out quite a few obsenities (sp?) at my fallen foe, waking the rest of the house in the process (I was playing at about midnight)! Its games like this that make you realise why your skin is all pasty and you shy away from natural light. It also lasts quite a while. I've played about 10 hours already and I don't think I'm near the end.
My little brother has a video game, called Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando, he has beaten the game severral times but he cannot seem to find all of the nanotech boosts. I was wondering if anyone here would happen to know where some are located? Scincerly, your vampire: Doll
I'd have a look at www.gamefaqs.com, as they will most probably have a few walkthroughs that could help you out with that.
I really hate to be the guy who just posts in random quotes from other sites, but IGN seem to have some pretty good news regarding a Limited Edition copy of Halo 2 that?s due in early November. They're even more excited about telling us by the sounds of it... Even if that?s not all that Bungie have included in this special Limited Edition version, they are already the typical things you?d expect to at least feature in the original. No news on whether it?ll cost more, but if so, I definitely wouldn?t recommend it.
From what I've gathered, the Limited Edition version will cost the same. If you've already preordered Halo 2, then the store that you preordered it at should contact you soon and ask which version you want. If they dont, go and have a word to them. If you haven't preordered it yet, what are you thinking? Get that hard-earned dosh and put it down on it ASAP!
I think that the single greatest improvement Halo 2 would benefit from (and I'm not sure it's happening; I haven't seen anything about it so I'd guess it's not) is bots. I don't hook up X-boxes often and I don't know how much I'll play it on X-box live. I prefer playing with people in the same room as me, and I prefer being on a team with them. 2 or 3 or 4-player multiplayer gets old real fast. If there were bots, my brother and I or a couple of friends and I could do a 2 vs 5 or 3 vs 6 or something and take on a bunch of AI opponents. Obviously Bungie can do AI pretty well. So I think bots would be a great addition. Until they appear in Halo, it still won't beat out Perfect Dark in my book.
I agree - bots would be a great addition to an already brilliant game (well, I guess I'm just speculating, but who can tell me honestly that this game isn't gonna rock?). Great for LANs when not everyone turns up. Or when you're being 'Johnny-No-Friends' and just want to get some practice in. I believe that Bungie will probably incorporate bots into Halo 2. After all the other FPSs that have benefited from this, I'm sure they won't be stupid enough to leave out this feature. But then, I could be wrong...
