[SIZE=2][COLOR=Green][FONT=Century Gothic][I]Why am I here? :confused: On the Otakuboards.com, a wonderfull place were you can express what you feel on certain subjects and ask what others think of some ideas/big events/etc..( Following the well thought-out rules, of course... ;) ;) ) ??? I believe I have just answered that question, I am here because, this is a place were I can talk to people that share some of my points-of-view, which I can't do in school, or at any other place because, people there don't share my view of things..for some of them, I'm even insane..And also, to learn other people's view on certain subjects...Also, here, most of the members like anime, and, in my school, people hate it, soo, here I can express how I fell about anime, which is more than good reason to be here!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D I actually found this site looking for fan-art,and, I stumbeled across the "Fan-art" section at TheOtaku.com, there, I clicked on the "Boards" link, not knowing what it meant, and, by cliking on that link, I discovered the one, the only, The OtakuBoards!!!!!, after reading some post, [B]CAREFULLY[/B] reading the rules, I joined.. :D I basically joined because I liked the Art section, which is full of great art...and now, I stay because from here, I can meet people from all over the world in a city in Venezuela (a place people think is in Africa... Parents: Unkown Favorite Card: Ryu-Ran (NOT the Toon form) Bio: She was born somewhere in Egypt, and, has a vast knowladge about the Shadow Realm, and about Duel Monsters, her deck is made up of very powerfull cards, and, she has a secret strategy, that is only known to her, and using that strategy she, wins her duels. She never liked Yugi, even though she has never come face-to-face with him, she believes that the he was never worthy of the title King of Games, or any of the Millennium Items. She was hired by Lena Pegasus to eliminate all of those who tryed to rescue the adults on her island, also, unkown to many, she has the ability to surround her with the mist of The Shadow Realm, whenever necesary. [FONT=Century Gothic][I][COLOR=DarkGreen][SIZE=2]I was wondering, if any one here ever heard of this band, called, (like the subject to my thread) "Vertical Horizon". This band originated in Georgetown, I believe this is in Boston, from what I've read in various web-pages, but, I'm not completelly sure; during the 1990s. Currently, they have released 5 albums since 1992, when they released their first album "There and back again", I do not know much of this album, because, I can't seem to find it anywhere, and, mail service doesn't work here, so, I cannot buy it from the internet, therfore, I don't know much about the songs in this CD. But, maybe you've hear of one of their CDs called "Everything you want",just like their hit song "Everything you want", anothe hit of them is titeled "You're a God", and, it's also from this CD. Their latest album, is called Go, I have currently no knowledge if they have released a song from that CD, because, the radio here doesn't play it. They also have a song called "Heart in hand"; which appears in the CD from the Motion Picture "The New Guy".It's a really good song, in my opinion. This is not a very famous band, and, therefore, not many people have heard of it, I'd like to know if someone here has ever heard any of their songs, or owns any fo their CDs, and I'd like to know what they think of it!! :D I really like this group, and the songs I've hear from them, I try to find some song ofrom them on the Internet, but, I can't, and, even though, due to circumstances, I do not know mcuh about them.... [B]We Slang...I use it a lot!!! Basically, because, me and some people I like to call frineds, have our own way of speaking, soo, many times, people just stare at us, and sya: "Their brains are on vacation, they speak nonsense!!"Or they just run away from us.. :p :p A few of these "slang" terms are: [B]The Lightswitcher(as in,"That guy is a total lightswitcher!!" or "He did that jsut like a lightswitcher") :[/B] Well, this is actually a VERY long story, but I'll try to make it as short as possible :D. One day, my friend and I were wacthing this dance/play thing, and we noticed that everytime the light went on, people clapped, and eveerytime they lgiht went off, people clapped again!! So, at the end of the play, we decided that, the person who did the best job in the WHOLE paly, was the lightswitcher, and fromt here, we stated calling lightswitcher everyone who did absolutelly nothing, and got made people happy, or got a lot of merrit for it. [B]The Metric Argentinian System:[/B] Our horse riding teacher has a problem measuring the hieght of jumps, he always sais they're lower, like a 1 meter jump (Don't know how much that is in feet :p ) he says it's 75 centimeters!!So, we started calling his way of measuring jumps, the Metric Agrentinian System, because, he's from Argentina! [B]Bolus:[/B] We use it to describe really ugly guys (I don't use it often, not really into guys...:p ), for example, this guy that rides, we started calling him Bolus, I don't know why we do this, we just do it!! A friend of mine starting doing it one day, and, we liked the idea, and they soon started calling ugly boys "Bolus" [B]Pepu:[/B] Used to refer to people with a lot acne, and abad attitude towards people that are younger, as in, we start calling that person "Pepu". [B]I went to the movies (Also can be used as "Man, this pop-corn is blowing!!"[/B] Usually refered when someone goes to a place where there are dumb people that only think about boys, and don't care about the rest of the world, bacuase, since they have "pop-corn brians" (a.k.a Stupid Jerks) and we eat popcorn at the movies, we started saying that, I use this frase VERY often..And when I say "The pop-corn is blowing!!" I mean that the convesation is getting to stupic, and makes no sense,a dn get me out of here!! These are some of the frases, I can't remember more!! HetepKa :angel:

Ankuza replied angrily: ?What do you know about the Jewel?? Jin told her: ? A lot, we too are searching for the shards?? Akuza stared at him and asked: ?You and what army?? Jin then told her: ?The army of Naraku?? Ankuza was surprised, she had heard of Naraku, about his great power, and that he was looking for the shards?Ankuza asked him in surprise: ?What do you want from me??? Kanna then moved towards Jin and told her: ?Naraku wants you to help him find the shattered pieces of Shikon?? Akunza was surprised, why would Naraku want her to serve him???, Jin then told her smirking: ?So, will you join us?? Akuza looked at him and smirked , she had always dreamed this!! Even though I'm a big Yu-gi-oh! fan, I really don't know if this "Live-action" movie will be such a hit, I personally think it depends on the storyline and the actors, first of all, then, if Yu-gi-oh's popularity is fading, what I mean with this is that maybe, some of the people that were total hard core-fans, and that are now a little less interested maybe wont want to see the movie if they don't like the storyline, etc...Like a friend of mine,that doesn't like the idea of a live action movie.. Man, I can't stand nicknames, my real name is Alejandra, so people tend to call me Alex or Ale or even somethimes, when they are too lazy, the call me Al ( I hate it when the call me that :flaming: It makes them seem like I'm a boy...), but some girls at my school recently started calling my "Japo" (short for Japonesa which means japanese in spanish, because I like manga, anime, and other stuffs related to Japan :D ) and I can't stand them!!! They started calling my that after I won some spelling bee thing... :rolleyes: They aslo call me "Cerebration" (I'm sorta smart in school, it's translation could be Brainy or total brain head..) and now, another nickname arose, now some call me "Clorobabicha" (something we saw in science, adn I couldn't spell say a chemical component of sotheng, so I started calling that chemical substance that.. These are only a few, but I hate them all!!! HetepKa

(OCC: Sorry if my other post was stupid in any way...:sweat: I'm doing the best I can, this is my first RPG...) Crystal noticed that Miroku was starting to feel better, and could now walk a little, thanks to her healing powers, Crystal took this opportunity to ask Miroku: "Why was that demon girl trying to kill you? " Miroku took a deep breath and started to remember the beginning of his fight[CENTER]~~~Fl@shb@ck~~~[/CENTER] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+*+~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Miroku was walking in the forest, and then he senses a strange presence in the air, and hears a low voice that told him: "Ah...how the stink of human grows strong, and how you will grow frightened when I come near" Miroku turned back and saw nothing, and thought it was only his imagination, but then in a tree in front of him, he saw a shadowy figure, and, for no apparent reason, that figure started to attack him with swords, and since he was caught by surprise, he got stabbed by them. He tried to use the Wind Tunnel in his hand, but it was to risky.. and so the demon came forth, and Miroku noticed it was a woman, and she took her sword and told him: "Are all the filthy humans this weak?? If that is the case, I'll take them out one, by one, and kill them... slowly...So I can continue to rid the world of these weaklings some call humans" Miroku told her, in a faint voice: "Why do you want to kill humans you despicable demon..." She snarled at him and replied: "They took something from me, now I will take something from them, and that something is all the shards of the Jewel of Shikon..." She took out her sword and started to attack Miroku again, Miroku tried to reach his staff, but he had dropped it to far away from him, and couldn't reach it, and he still didn't want to use his Wind Tunnel, and then Crystal appeared on the scene.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+*+~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He told some of this to Crystal, because he was still weak and couldn't tell her all of it...and Crystal wondered: *What could she want with the shards of the Shikon Jewel, power???* The she though a little more, and came to another possible reason: *...or vengeance??* They were now very close to the camp, and Miroku could now walk on his own.. a little...

I've always had strange and stupid dreams, but I've never foressen anything, I'm not a phsyco :P Once I dreamt I was on an escalator with all the people from Naruto and Yu-gi-oh!, and there was another escalator next to it, which was going down, and I was asking everyone where the hell where we...and suddenly, I see 2 people going down the other escalator, they were Cosmo (Fairly Odd Parents) and My horseback riding teacher talking about cheese :confused: and suddenly, I screamed for one final time WHERE ARE WE!!!!???? and all of them answer, "we're going on a ride.." I asked, "What ride?" and Timmy's Dad (Fairly Odd Parents) comes down with a parachute that says: "I am smart, so eat ham" and says "This is the ride!!!" and suddenly, I fall down, on to a HUGE apple, and then a worm ate me... :eek: Another dream I had was that Sauroman (Lord of The Rings) had a live TV cooking show (like this Emril guy) :eek: then, he quit and turned into a priest :eek: ..and starting marrying people, and then opened a restaurant, were I worked in :confused: .. OH my..I LOVE FAIRLY ODD PARENTS!!!!! Sadly, though, here in South America, they don't show it, but It has to be one of my favorite non-anime series, and, since NIckelodeon in the U.S cancelled Invader Zim ( :bawl: :bawl: ) It's my favorite Nickelodeon in the U.S ( Not much of a Sponge Bob fan, even stupidity has an extreme..) My favourite characters are: Cosmo, Chip Skylark, Timmy's parents and Phillip, the nickel... I know Miroku wouldn't hurt a fly, so leave him alone!!" But, Ankuza stopped her and said: "Please Leave, I don't have enough patience to deal with you...If you try to attack me again, you are a dead girl" But Crystal still tried to attack this time, with a stronger force, but Ankuza was ready to defend, stopped her and said, staring into Crystal's face: "You have no idea what you have gotten yourself into..."

Well, this seems like a lot of fun, so I'lll join! Hope I don't ruin it!!! Name: Ankuza Age: Unkown (appears about 15 or 16) Bio: She was born in a family of peaceful demons, but the villagers killed them, and from that day on, she swore to eliminate humans from the face of the Earth, she was barely able to escape with her life from the village where she lived; and she decided to escape into a thick forest, there, some monsters found her lying on the ground and the leader of those monsters told them to teach her how to use swords and knives, they teached her and she quickly mastered them and she began to travel with that group of monsters. Years later, the leader of the monsters asked her to follow him into a foggy forest, and there, the leader of those monsters told her that the only way to rid the world of humans, was to find and bring him the Shikon Jewel, now, she has separated from that group of monsters and has heard the Jewel has returned, and she will stop at nothing to find it and bring it to her leader. Weapons/attacks: Uses different sword styles and knives, but will transform into her true demon form if needed. Even though I'm really into softer music I LOVE BLINK 182!!!!!!!!!!:love: :love: I got the CD for X-mas and, I was soo happy, I heard it 5 times that day!!! :D Personally, my favorite songs in this CD are "All of This" and "Stockholm Syndrom", but I also like "Violence" , "Miss you", "Feeling This" "Here's your letter", "Asthenia"(even though it's almost a minute of soft noises before they start singin..I can't really make out what those soft noises say, all I know is they are actual NASA recordings... :( :confused: ), "Easy Target" and "Go" (I know these are almost all the songs in the CD :D...jeje ) but I'm not very fond of "The Fallen Interlude" or "Obvious" and the rest of the songs are ok.. :) In conclution, This has to be one of the best CDs I own, and I strongly recomend it!! :D :toothy: HetepKa :toothy: :freak:

In this thread, I'll post some of my drawings and banners and such... This drawing, I made on an airplane while a little boy behind me threw me everything, including his shoe...and, unfortunatelly, the shoe fell on my drawing and got it all dirty...:bawl: Shaded with my finger (I know it sounds odd, but I did it that way since I have no shading utencils and it's the only way I could cover up all the smudges the shoe left)....Fortunatelly, the kid fell asleep after the first hour of the flight...so the rest of the flight was pretty good (except the food)... In my drawing, I drew The King of Thieves (from Yu-gi-oh!) a little like The Grinch...but I don't remember how the Grinch looks like:sweat: the little doggy/reindeer is supposed to be Jonouchi (Joey from Yu-gi-oh!) but I can never get his hair right!!!! and I had to cut the lower part of the drawing that said "How the King of Thieves stole Christmas" because it was too big... I'm not an artist at ALL, it's not really good, so try not to hit yourself when you see it and try to run away...;) HetepKa

Did this in Photoshop 7, It's my second drawing colored in Photoshop, so it's not very good :croos:, but here it is!! It took me a lot of time to do...It cost me blood, sweat and tears...(it's a phrase I use, it means A LOT of work) HetepKa

The bunny is sooooooo adorable!!!! and the monkey is sooo funny!!!! and the other girl is sooo pretty!!!!!! I made this character, it's my original one, he's a little bear I like to call Hipno Bear!!!!I called him Hipno Bear becuase he's always asleep and has a little hipno thingy on his forehead and tummmy, It's not very good but here it is!!!:D

I think that Yu-gi-oh! will eventually die out, but not right now, I mean like in 2 to 5 years...Just like Pokemon:ball: At first, I thought Yu-gi-oh! was just plain stupid..but then I started to watch it with my cousins and found out that it was quite interesting, I think its cool because of the ancient Egyptian themes, the characters, the plot,etc. I like the show, but the manga is 100 better!!!!:D I used to play the card game with my cousins because I had nothing else to do, and I suck badly at playing that game.. but then I stopped playing because I was bussy or didn't have the time and then I found it a little boring...:sleep: And I would like to ask the same question as CharmedImmortal if anyone doesn't mind(PLease, I don't want fans to complain!!!!!)... In school we had to take a foreing language class, we had to chose from 3 languages: Spanish, Italian or Russian (don't ask me why....), I chose spanish because my family comes from South America, I knew a little bit, but I still could learn A LOT more, so my mom told me I should go with spanish, that was 4 years ago... Now I'm pretty fluent in spanish and I know a lot about spanish culture, it's pretty fun, because now when I go to visit my relatives, I can understand what they say, I can talk to them or ask them to shut up!!!(I couldn't talk to them 5 years ago, it was pretty embarasing for them to ask me something and for me to go and ask my mom what they meant:(...) I wish I could learn another foreign language, I know four or five frases in french, a couple of japanese words, and a little portugese.. it's fun to learn a foreign language and a foreing culture:D I wish I could learn Japanese, 'cause I'm a total addict to anime/manga, and sometimes I watch anime and have no idea what they're talking about, since the tv channel that I see them in hasn't translated them, they don't even show the tiny letters!!!:flaming: :flaming:

Since we're closer to the holyday season, I tried to make them a little christmassy...(some of them...) A little kid yelling at Yami Bakura: "Hey momy, it's the nice and caring Santa!!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yugis friends go to his house and find his head planted in a planter and his Grandpa tells them: "Since we've been having some though times... To save money, Yugi's hair now doubles as a Chritmass tree!!!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yami Malik singing: "Where is the Love?"...(ok I don't think that was a good one...) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everybody (except Mai) telling Téa (or Anzu) to Shut up!!!!!!! and stop talking about that stupid friendship, thay don't care!!!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yami or Yugi (or both) saying: "The Heart of The Cards?? Who needs that pile of nonesense?????? Let's just win this so I can go home and watch my soap opera, I heard Fred will tell Mary that he loves her......!!!!!!!"( Just took some inspiration from some girls in my class, there lives are practically based on soap operas or "novelas" as we call them here...) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mikuba saying: "I actually think Kaiba is the biggest jerk on this planet and I just act interested in him so he'll give me the company!!!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some guys dressed in black rush into the room and say: "Master Kaiba, it's your brother..., HE'S BEEN KIDNAPPED!!!" Sorry 'bout your cousin ssjBrolli!!!!:( But here's my story, when I was 8 it was New Years Eve, and we went to visit my family in Venezuela, the island of Margarita to be more precise and we where at the church, it was really packed, I had to stand outside, and just when it was ending, a guy who was singing fainted and they rushed him to the hospital, then while we where driving to the party, my cousin noticed that he left his shoe at church:cross: we looked everywhere for that darn shoe!!!!and didn't find it soo, he went with a slipper to the party;at the party, the food was burnt, and there was nothing to drink but water, and all the fire works exploded when one of my many cousins trew a candle on the floor, so our fireworks burned my grandma's flowers, at twelve, it is costum in my family to eat 12 grapes, but since all the grapes burned in with the fireworks, we had to eat olives my mom choked on one of them, they hired a guy to play the piano, who arrived at 1:43 am.. we didn't find the keys to enter our house, soo we broke in, and had to sleep in the patio, wrapped in moist towels...:wigout: and when we went the next day to help my granparents reoganize their house (and plant new flowers...) my cousin remember that she was palying with the keys to our house, and had left them in the car, under a seat...and when we got to my grandparent's house, the piano guy was a sleep on a sofa....:cross: It might sound like a bad day, but I had a blast:D:laugh:!!!!! I've never laughed so hard in my life!!!!!!!!:D ;):laugh: and my cousin's shoe was never found...and my other cousin was grounded for a week... and strangely, the next day I got sick with intoxication:cross: :drunk: Sorry if I spell anything bad, I'm a real bad speler!!!:wigout:
