I'm not sure what you're talking about. There might be more than one sonic movie. Is this the one when sonic shoots a bird? If so then it was really interesting to see the video game come to life anime style. I kept missing bits of it, but I could still tell it was good.

I like the Mechs from Candidate for Goddess. They are so different from everything else that is out and I like how they look. Their colors and everything. The artists did a very good job in designing them! ^_^

This is funny. When I was a really crazy fan, I mean like always talking about, reading about, singing the songs (I still do that), I would act like an anime character. I would imagine myself sweatdropping when someone did or said something stupid. Someone even told me that I went through this Sailor Moon stage in which I sounded like Serena. I was just crazy about anime. I've cooled off a great bit now. Also because of anime, I've learned how to draw. Everyone says my characters for my comic books look like anime characters (or the little cartoons I watch all the time) :shudders: ANIME ARE NOT CARTOONS!!!!

Bio Hunter was just too much for me I have to say. I didn't even finish it. I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't like it that much. I'm not into anime like that.

Anime What Anime has the best opening theme?
Rockstar Haruko replied to Lone Bebop's topic in Otaku Central
Personally, I like the opening to Cowboy Bebop. The movements are so smooth when they show the silhouettes of the characters. Then there's the opening to Macross 2: Lovers Again. I don't really know why I like this opening. It's just cool I guess. Edit: Oh yeah!! Gunsmith Cats! I love the music and their car. Gotta get me one of those! -
Anime New Shinichiro Wantanabe's new Anime
Rockstar Haruko replied to AnimeShogun888's topic in Otaku Central
Samurai Champloo? Sounds like it would be good. I'm a huge fan of Cowboy Bebop so I can't wait for it to get to America. -
I loved Princess Mononoke! My friend, younger brother, and I were scanning through channels and we happened to come across this movie. And it was funny because we came across the part where Ashitaka shot off a soldiers head with an arrow. We were like 0.0. We talked about it for months.

Anime Lover's Lane: Best Anime Couples
Rockstar Haruko replied to DuoNDscythe's topic in Otaku Central
Inuyasha and Kagome are good couples. Also Shoaran (or however you spell his name) and Sakura from Cardcaptors. I think it's so cute how the guys can't express what they're feeling until later on. That maybe a little cliche, but for me it never gets old. AND Ayame and Sakon from Wrath of the Ninja. They were just perfect for each other, I think. Too bad about what happened though. Sorry...I forgot about this couple. Ashitaka and San from Princess Mononoke!! They are so cute together!! When I watched the movie I was like, aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!! -
I absulutely love Trigun!! It has action! It has humor! It's just great!! My favorite character is Vash mainly because of his personality. He's always cool in any situation. I feel kind of sorry for him because everyone's trying to get him. I haven't seen all of the episodes yet. Hoping that I will.

I saw only a couple of episodes of escaflowne when they came on...ok so I don't remember what channel it was, but it was the same channel that Monster Rancher came on. I liked them, but unfortunately the show went off air a few days after I started watching it.

Tokyo Babylon was cool. Especially the second part of the OVA. I didn't know it was a prequel to X. But then again the animation does look sort of the same.

I haven't read much manga either so I'm going to say anime. I read a DBZ manga. It was pretty good, but there's nothing like seeing everything in action. This coming from a major book reader :glasses:

I've seen the movie. I liked it. It has a nice plot and a little humor. I haven't seen it in a long time though.

Anime Somebody's suing Cartoon Network (FLCL related)
Rockstar Haruko replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in Otaku Central
Everyone's right! FLCL is the best!!! The lady didn't say this, but she probably only watched one episode!! Whatever she saw was not what FLCL was all about. That show has an even deeper meaning. About growing up and stuff. Something that all kids have to go through. Cartoon Network provides shows for all age groups so they had a right to put FLCL up. I don't hear anyone ranting about Cowboy Bebop! That had a little of everything in there!! (And I loved that show too!!) She's probably the only one going on about this show while every other adult is busy enjoying it. Not only that, the woman went on about violence, there is violence in a lot of CN's shows. It's all right for Elmer Fudd to try to shoot and kill Bugs Bunny or Daffy. It's all right for a dog to chase after a cat with a lawn mower, running over it a few times, but it's not ok for a girl to go around hitting people with guitars in which she doesn't even kill them. The lady needs to think over what she's talking about!!!!! With that said, Haruko shuts up... I'm so weird.:twitch: -
I agree that Trowa is very complex, but I also think that Wufei is very complex himself. He seems a little crazy too. Like he would do something on the crazy side. I'm not sure, but didn't he marry at a young age? And didn't he name his gundam after his wife? I don't remember where I heard this. Maybe one of the episodes.

I absolutely love John Mayer's songs! I bought Room for Squares and I listen to the whole thing just about every day. He has the kind of music that you just can't get tired of. I love how he sings the songs and how he plays! Especially in Why Georgia! Anyway I'm definately going to get his new CD Heavier Things.

I wouldn't say that it is boring, but maybe just a little hard to understand. I know it was for me. I've seen both Patlabor and Patlabor 2 (I think there's a patlabor 2). I couldn't really tell you what it is about, but the animation is great!
-
I've seen one episode. I couldn't really get into it. It was humorous though. I saw the episode when the old lady was trying to get the white-haired lady a husband. (now you see how much I know about this one) hehe I haven't caught the show since.

Hmm... I'd have to say DBZ was the first anime ever saw in the middle school, but I really didn't watch it. I only saw it because my brother was watching it. So... although it was the second anime I ever saw, I think Wrath of the Ninja was truly my first anime because when I saw it, I was amazed. I was like "this animation is so cool!" I was hooked ever since and am an even bigger otaku than my brother.

I don't mean for this to be spam or anything like that. This is my first time starting a thread, but what is Chrono Cross about? I think it's on playstation 2. When I first saw it I wanted to get it, but I didn't know if it was a fun game or what? Then there's the fact that I didn't own a playstation 2 at the time. I want to know the plot and is it worth buying? What did everyone think about it?
-
You know, it's the same exact way in Macross Plus. Cowboy Bebop and Macross Plus has the best music I think. That's also one of the reasons why they're my favorites!! hee hee!! Yoko Kanno Forever!!!
-
I just transfered to a new school and it's like...NO ONE WATCHES ANIME!!! I met a few people, but they're not really into it. I mean, they watch what comes on Cartoon Network, but they haven't seen the real stuff. They're not real otakus like my friends and I.

Everyone FLCLing!!! That show definately takes the cake when it comes to anime being weird. I don't even really understand what FuriKuri means yet. At first I was thinking it meant something kinky by the way Naoto's dad used it. Maybe WitchLustX mentioned something about it, but I didn't really feel like reading all that. Oh well... Right now it's my fav!!! Ara? Ara? Ara?:shifty:

I like music from every anime that I've seen except maybe Akira and Ghost in the Shell. Their music sounds too depressing. I like the Pillows' music from Furi Kuri and I have a whole bunch of songs from Cardcaptors. But Cowboy Bebop and Macross Plus beats them all!!! They have the best music!! Not just in Japanese either!! They have a great mixture of music!!
