1. Alright. I think retracting my little rant is in order in light of new ideas. However, I am still pretty nervous about the whole ordeal, even though it has already happened. Maybe it's because I have seen too many of those bad Sci-fi movies where something ALWAYS goes wrong.
2. Yeah, with $333 million, people could actually help the starving children in Africa. Live 8 anyone? Change the budget spending?
3. I started on Theotaku.com, because I was dating an anime junkie at the time, and I used to send all of those great online cards that you guys had on your site. I hearted those. Also, there was so much great fanart, and I aspired to be an artist, so I would sit and gawk for hours. When the myotaku.com came out, I started getting into that, and then found these forums. Took a break, but now I am back and RPing away. HUZZAH!
4.
Penicillin, nuclear reactors, atomic structure, computers, magnetic fields, chemical reactions, electricity, plastic. Just a couple of obviously useful things that research has discovered.
All of those are very important technological advances, but what if this new material also sparks the creation of an even more powerful weapon than the Atomic bomb? Also, I am sure all of you have taken Pre-Calculus/Calculus, and you know how complicated and easy to mess up Vectors are. Everything has to be perfect, and while these minds are the most brilliant of anyone on Earth, there still could be one slight miscalculation that could screw us totally. That is just IMHO, and I am all for learning about the secrets of the universe through new material, but instead of searching for something to potentially leave our planet, how about fixing it? Anyone noticed the 2.30 dollars/gallon price tag (well up in here)? How about cleaner transportation first? Okey dokey. Rant over. Resume discussion. That's just my two cents.
5. Name: Dane Kenny Age: 28 Gender: Male Assignment: Stealth Ops Personality: A quiet man, doesn't usually speak unless spoken to. A brilliant mind, but only inputs his ideas when he believes that they will not distrupt the flow of the plan. Takes orders well, and follows them to a fault. Does not particularly enjoy human interaction, but tolerates team members and respects senior officers. He is slightly paranoid, which runs in his family Appearance: Dane stands at a slim 5' 2". He has a lanky build, but his body is chiseled through years of intense training. His crystal blue gaze pierces through all he sees, and his shaggy brown hair is cropped to a military style cut. He usually wears a fit pair of jeans and whatever T-shirt is clean from the laundry that week. He also always wears a black skull cap and shades to attempt to conceal his identity, and has several different styles of both. Short Bio: Dane's family was always broken up. His father had been a military medic that had been thrown into the heat of battle in a pointless war and been gunned down along with the entire unit he was with. His mother had been crushed by this blow to their family, and threw herself into her work as an ER nurse at the city hospital many miles from their home. As a result of this, Dane grew up a latchkey kid, and quickly got involved in burglary due to his silent nature and good hands. He successfully robbed several wealthy houses and carved out a good fortune for him. He has recently been arrested for carelessly tripping a silent alarm in his latest target. He now sits in jail. However, an offer has been placed to him; There is a team investigating the mysterious reappearance of a ship, and they need someone for reconaissance and infiltration. If he agreed, he would be let out early and given a large pension for his duties to the country. The choice is obvious.
6. Just got the second one. Hooo boy what a plot twist! Won't say it, cause I don't remember how to black it out, but it takes guts to throw such a curveball in only the second manga.
7.
Yep, actually I got it for Christmas and it was right up there with the first volume. I was plesantly surprised. Do you, or anyone else, know if the 3rd one is released yet? I have off tomorrow and wanna go manga shopping. ^_^ Dark Otaku boy
I didn't even know that the second one was out  . Usually manga takes about 4 months between books, depending on the artist. Some take a lot longer than others. If it came out recently, I wouldn't expect it for another month or two at least.
8. I checked this one out on an impulse, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It was so intricate in the artwork that I felt I had missed many things,so I read it again, and again, to find that there were many things I had missed. Great series, and looking forward to more.
9. I commend you on having the guts to tell your mom and other people about your religion. I did a similar thing, and my parents raised flaming hell about it. Not pretty. But I would say just ease into things, unlike most folks choose to do. That is usually where the conflict comes from, and when all else fails, just realize that you will be free eventually, and when you turn 18, it's your life. Good Luck! :)
10.
I sometimes feel like the upperclassmen hate us.
Don't worry, enchanteres, they don't hate you. Last year all my friends had moved away, and I made all new friends who were all (fanfare) Juniors and seniors! So don't worry, they are really cool. Some of them just get ahead of themselves and think that they hafta be all harsh to the underclassmen. :D I'm a junior from Mansfield, CT, and I am 17. Right now I am currently dealing with the initial onslaught of schoolwork that the teachers seem to sadistically love. Other than that, I love to play the cello, and have been for many many moons. I also love to play tennis, and do that as much as possible. Friends are also awesome, and we enjoy night-time games of CTF as much as possible. I haven't really been on the boards in a while, but am trying to get back in, and just post on these opinion ones so as to meet some new people hopefully
11. The decay and carrion stench of the dead burning in droves their bodies doth light the corridors of black wiped out by an empire the species of man now lay in their blood painting their faces now charred by the flame I gaze upon this flame of death burning cancerous pathogens protecting me and my life I gaze... and I weep
12. I met his new girlfriend today He's always been around us but suddenly came in encroached into our lives boxing me out You bastard, you slimy bastard you snuck in, you took over you lived our lives you made it your own and they are yours now You better be happy, you tore from me my true friends mi familia, my pillars of support And now they are not who they once were because of you why can't you leave? Why can't we be happy? I HOPE YOU ARE! because you have taken from me the most important friends of all You showed me what a harsh world this world can be you girlfriend to my friends and master of their lives Bastard
13. Your elitist views, you cannot change the molds of people set my friend is there I cannot bear to see you get him yet He is not yours you selfish pig and you have hurt us so So die alone and write the tome of your cruel and voiceless life empty words, self-centered views a credo all your own you've been the best and pulled abreast a person from sacred pews Decency and friendship set in the wood he sat upon a bible of trust and mindful of lust for the power he wished he had you pulled his mind to your game of lies and gave him what he wished but now he's yours but who will save, delve to the cave of the man who sought friendship?
14. Be Still, fair heart let hands do the work stay still, mind alight and let the body flow Neither heart nor mind can do these things that are set before you only pain will come if the heart is used Too much emotion for the mind to endure more scars will form more tissue will burn The body must take the brunt of the strike the mind must stay idle and relish in the light For light will soon come and the mind will awake happy and free in the brightness it sees
