I like the show because of the story line, its rather sad. Yeah, all the kids look perferct, and thats unrealistic. But when they made Marco such a streotype gay, I was offended. None of the the other boys on Degrassi are cry babies, so why is Marco? I thought they wrote him was just too much of a streotype. Otherwise, I like the show. Its realistic enough to be interesting, it is dramatic, but I like it. ...no one in my school like Dagrassi either...

Anime The importance of being....(insert name here)
Soujirou replied to duorocks17's topic in Otaku Central
I ried Soujirou, heres what it says: The name of Soujirou creates a very passive, easy-going, friendly nature. You love people and desire to get along with everyone you meet. Your desire for sociability and the pleasant things in life makes you too easily influenced through your associations. You have imagination and many ideas but you lack the drive or initiative to put these into effect. It is difficult for you to say "no" and mean it or to carry through with any commitments you have made. This name makes you too lackadaisical. The influence of this name is to lack practicality, system and order, organizing ability, astuteness, and the ability to make decisions and act upon them. heh, okay, I guess thats true enough. but Sou-kun does what ever Shishio tells him, and Soujirou is quite a prefectioness in some cases too. so it isn't that accurate. ...I don't know what 'lackcaisical' means ^^;; and a weird thing: that said the same thing for Souji, the guy who Soujirou was based on. and Soujirou was Okita's original name too... Then I tried Kaede (which is my frist name too) Although your name of Kaede gives you a good appreciation of material values, business ability, and skill in organizing and managing others, your success is limited at times, by a lack of self-confidence and initiative. This name brings out a practical, composed quality, with a strong desire for a good standard of living in an environment where you are in contact with distinguished, successful people. You try to further your interests through pursuing the association of people with influence. ...fits me... but not the anime characters named Kaede ^^; -
... I'm not sure but I think it takes place during Bakumatsu when Kenshin was Hitokiri Battousai. But thats only what I heard, I don't have it... the OVA is Samurai X right? sorry if I'm wrong ^^;;;

Anime Dating Anime Characters: Would You?
Soujirou replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
What character I would not date: Kikyou, from Inuyasha. normaly I would date someone that cute. but then there is the fact she chases after her Inuyasha, suduced (sp?) him and tried to drag him to hell with her. thats really the only reason, besides that shes actually a clay doll, who kills anything that moves so she can live. (you kinda can't blame her though, she didn't WANT to be brought back to life... it was really U-something I forgot her name ^^; and Naraku.) yeah, I wouldn't walk down the street with her, much less date her. (...shes my favorite character too...) -
I've never lived in Japan so I wouldn't know if it was accepted or not, but shounen-ai is fairly popular (more so yaoi to be truthful.) I haven't seen much shoiujo-ai as yaoi/shounen-ai. How they do depends on the audiance though. more girls would watch yaoi/shounen ai then boys and vice versa and some people don't like either. I was really angry when CN made Haruka and Michiru cousins too. I hate to see what they'd do to Gravitaion... About the TV staion thing, you do that, but you should show them dubbed un-cut at the time kids get out of school and subtitled later, kids, other then otaku kids (no offense) don't like reading subtitles. Though it would be a great idea, show some lighter shounen/shoujo-ai too.

I like everything so, here are my favorite (almost) non-exisitant and canon couples. Aoshi/Soujirou, not popular but their personalities match each other so well... and they're cute.(RK) Kohaku/Rin, around ep. 100 or 90... (IY) Kenshi/Tomoe... which is canon.(RK) Ayane/Miyu (Ithink thats her name) they're best friends, and I think they might like each other...(GK21) and Vash/Haruko would make a good couple.

*sigh* I haven't seen much canon shoujo-ai anime other then what other people already said, but I heard of a yuri/shoujo-ai manga called Hen.
Originally posted by scrmngfangrl yaoi is NOT pointless. especially hard core. it serves to...i don't know if its allowed and don't know how to sencore, so lets just say it helps with certain pleasures...its like porn...
What I ment by pointless is it has no story to it, which it doesn't in some hard yaoi. It's hentai, without any real plot. look at some doujinshi, alot that I've seen is PWP.

I was just saying that is what yaoi stands for, this is getting very pointless. and some yaoi is pointless (like hard yaoi) with no real point other then that. Not all yaoi is, but some.

Milliefan, KuroiYousei writes some of Aoshi/Kenshin in their stories (but mostly its Saitou/Sano) About yaoi being pointless, Yaoi stands for Yama-nashi (no climax), Ochi-nashi (no point), Imi-nashi (no meaning). So more or less, its ment to be. also, quit flameing, its annoying...
