Trigun definetely has some memorable episodes, although it could be just because Vash is such a memorable character! I have to say though, that my favorite episode would have to be Paradise.
Wolfwood dying in the church, reflecting on his life, it's just heartwrenching. Especially when you see Milly crying at the end.
Oh and it was almost the same with the very last episode of Cowboy Bebop. When
Spike finally defeats Vicious and walks down the stairs as he's dying
, ah I started crying so hard! "Bang!" Heh, that part was awesome. Not to mention how incredible the choreography and music are in that episode. The episode where
Ed leaves
was memorable too. Aw who am I kidding, the whole series is memorable! Ack, I better stop now before I keep rambling on and on.... :babble: Added
tags. These are great series, make sure you don't spoil the surprise for people who've not yet seen them ^_~ -Solo

I was wondering if someone could make me a Fruits Basket banner with the image I've attached? I would like it to say "daydreaming..." on it and at the bottom have my name (moonlight angel). It would be a big help. Thanks mucho!

Writing Favorite books characters
moonlight angel replied to Ozymandius Jones's topic in Creative Works
I thought this question would be hard to answer, but I figured out my favorite character fairly easily! It would have to be Phedre no Delaunay from the book Kushiel's Dart. She's such a strong person, and also very intuitive. She's skilled at discerning what goes unsaid by others and uses that to determine how to react to a given situation. Phedre is just a cool character, and a lot of fun to read about! -
Here's a scar for ya: When I was about 7 I was playing with my friends down the street, and they had a dog, a VERY large Boxer. My friends and I decided to go outside and pet the 'doggy' who proceeded to roll over in a nice way so we could rub it's tummy. However, when it was my turn the dog jumped up and 'nipped' (to put it lightly) my face, throwing little 7 year old me against a tree. To make a long story short, I went to the hospital and ended up with 20 stitches. I still have a scar above my eyebrow, although it's not so visible anymore. I also have a little piece of pencil lead stuck in my hand right next to my thumb, but other than that, I've never broken any bones. ^_^

Oooh, I love coffee! Not straight black though, I need LOTS of sugar and cream in it. That or my favorite thing is cappucino. Yummy! My mom has a cappucino machine and makes them on the weekends. I also really like frappachinos (mocha) from Starbucks, but for other kinds of coffee I like Old Pacific Coffee. It's tasty. Generally though, I don't drink a whole lot of coffee, once in a while it's just great.

Ever since I was little, I've liked jelly on my grilled cheese sandwiches. It's very strange, but it tastes so good! Yummmmm. Also, mixing mayonaise and ketchup makes a really good dipping sauce for french fries. I don't know if that's really 'strange' or not though. Oh and I forgot, I love BBQ sauce on rice. A habit I picked up from school lunches I guess.

Hmm. A New Year's Resolution. I think mine will be to: A.) Quit slacking off in school. I'm still getting B's, but I could get A's if I tried. B.) Try and be more outgoing. I'm quite shy most of the time, and that needs to change! C.) Find another book to read instead of just waiting for sequels to come out for the ones I already have, because I've read all my books 3 times. Yup. That's pretty much it. I'm all resolutioned out. 0_o

Right now I'm listening to 'Fortune Faded' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I just got their Greatist Hits cd from my friend for Christmas! It's so cool. I finally have a bunch of my favorite songs on one handy cd! Anyway, the song is awesome. It's done in their newer 'style' if that's what you want to call it, closer to their songs on the 'By the Way' cd than anything else. It's catchy.
-
If anyone's seen the movie "Love Actually" there is a song I love on there, 'All I want for Christmas is you' . It's just so sweet, I end up singing it all the time. I also like 'The Carol of the Bells', you know, the one that goes "Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say throw cares away". Yeah that one. Also, 'Winter Wonderland' by Amy Grant is one of my favorites because it's so upbeat and happy. And then of course, is 'Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer'. You just can't beat that one for pure oddity and fun.

Ooh fun! ^_^: Vash: A large box of donuts and a hug! He always looks like he could use one of each! Knives: Therapy. The dude has a serious superiority complex that needs to be dealt with. Professionally. Kikyo: A one way ticket back to the Underworld. STAY AWAY FROM INUYASHA! HE'S MINE! Naraku: A different diguise. Okay, the pelt of an ugly baboon just isn't gonna cut it. It's not even that evil looking! Naota (FLCL)- A box of bandages and some antiseptic. Well things ARE always popping out of his head and he keeps getting run over and smacked around, a first aid kit might come in handy... Yusuke (YYH)- A day of peace and quiet. Honestly, does he ever get a break from fighting the baddies? I think he deserves one. Hiei (YYH)- The mysterious 'disappearance of Kuwabara...What more could our favorite fire demon ever want? :smirk:
-
I love all the music on FLCL. I couldn't imagine any better music for the show than that! The overall sound and rythm of the songs kicks butt. As for other music I'd have to say Cowboy Bebop (especially The Real Folk Blues and Tank!) and Rurouni Kenshin (Freckles and Heart of Sword). Both of those shows have great music and I love the jazziness of CB. It fits. Oh and Obsession from .Hack//Sign is really neat too. The techno type of rythm really is cool. And Inuyasha. I like My Will, Fukai Mori, and Dearest. They're the best. Hmmm...I guess I like a lot of music huh??

I got this from a friend, I thought it was pretty funny: A French teacher was explaining to her class that in French, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. House is feminine "la maison," but Pencil is masculine "le crayon." A student asked, "What gender is a computer?" Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups -male and female- and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for their recommendation. The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender (la computer) because 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic; 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else; 3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later review; and 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it. The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine (le computer) because 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on; 2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves; 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model. The women won.

The best manga? Gee I'd have to say: Kodocha: This has got to be the funniest manga I've ever read! Sana is just hilarious! It also has a serious side too, though, and I really admire the way it blends the romance, humor, and drama together so nicely. ^_^ Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances): This manga is really great. The relationships between the characters are quite touching, but also very funny. Not to mention it also does a great job depicting what a struggle it is to discover your true self amidst the chaos of everyday life. The art is really good too, I love it to pieces. What can I say? I'm a sucker for romance and humor. (Note: There are many other great mangas, but I just chose my two favorites for the sake of keeping this post short...)

Anime Old threads that shouldn't have been revived.
moonlight angel replied to a topic in Otaku Central
Gee, there are so many good looking anime guys it's hard just to pick a few, but I'll give it a shot... Vash the Stampede (Trigun) - Oh I just love Vash! He's so funny and sensitive and sweet, but also very strong. Also, he's very good looking...^_^ He seems like he'd be a really fun person to date with that personality of his!("Love and Peace!") Soichiro Arima (Kare Kano) - Arima is great. He's just so down to earth and hardworking. I think that he'd be a great boyfriend (I'm so jealous of Yukino...) because he's not too macho and really cares about others and not just himself. Not to mention he's attractive...I love his eyes. Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho)- Wouldn't Yusuke be a super fun date? I mean honestly, if you want to have a good time and get into some trouble, who better to pick? Plus having a strong guy like that around would make you feel safe...And he's just so darn cute! I loved the beginning episodes where he was asleep (well dead, actually) because his face was so peaceful and beautiful!! Well, yep, those would be my top three anyway. -
WOW. It's so amazing. ALL your poems have a way of putting into words exactly how I feel at different times. I really like them alot ^_^.

Q1: "Vices" are defined by a society's impression of what is right or wrong. If a vice is something that is "An evil, degrading, or immoral practice or habit," then who is to say what is immoral and what is not? It all depends on the perspective of that particular society. If that society says something is black, then it is black and can never be white. However another society might see it the other way around. Who's to say which one's right and which is wrong? Q2: Heh heh, well I'd have to say laziness, procrastination, and the inability to prioritize. I would really rather watch t.v. than clean my room. I always put things off until the last minute, usually essays and projects. I also tend to do the least important thing first, and save the really hard time consuming things for later (9:00 at night... o_0) Q3: The most damaging vice? Hmmm, egotism by far. The whole attitude of "everything is for me, me, me..." is really horrible. When you combine it with stupidity you get a whole society that only cares for themselves, AND can't think of anything better to do. If people stopped their self-serving frenzy for a moment and really thought about some one else for a change, it might get rid of a whole lot of problems.

Trick Or Treating: Fun or Immature?
moonlight angel replied to KarmaOfChaos's topic in General Discussion
(lol, I always wish for lottsa chocolate!) I think trick or treating is still fun... I mean if you get a bunch of your friends together and dress up in silly costumes it becomes like a party that moves from place to place. Plus, on what other night can you get FREE candy? FREE CANDY!!! You're never too old for free candy. Speaking of which, I think I'm going to go eat some right now..... ^_^ -
whoo! the Beatles are so awesome! they were the first band I ever listened to after I gave up nursery rhymes! heh heh, I even own their movies A Hard Days Night and Help! too. their songs are just so much fun and I love the lyrics and rhythms. even though I now have different taste in music, I still pull out those cd's and listen to them whenever the mood strikes me. and I always sing along when they come on the radio. ^_^

moonlight angel replied to BlazinReddrgn's topic in General Discussion
oh for me it was stuffed animals all the way! ^-^ we played doctor and house and teaparty and had lovely conversations about the weather....heh heh, i still have a million of them packed away...i also loved barbies, polly pockets and games like UNO and candyland. for the most part however, i liked playing outside on my swingset the most. i still love to swing, but my yard is too small for one now :( -
gee, i would have to say i love the smell of the ocean, that clean crisp autumn smell there is outside at this time of year, and of rain (my favorite) ^-^... oh, also i like lavander, plumeria, jasmine, and roses, not the fakey smelling scents, but the actual soft scent of the flowers themselves.... hee hee, and guys cologne smells good too, as long as they don't use to much! ^-^
