Draak blink slowly and watched the funny little creature straighten its clothes, he had never seen a sidhe before and was curious to how dangerous they actually were, and how tasty. A soft hiss parted the lizard?s lipless mouth in a sigh as he lowered Senrai from his shoulders, they had come to the foot of a tall crumbling cliff, its soft sandstone face was going to be hard to climb and Draak couldn?t afford to way himself down, or worse, drop his companion, no, master would not be happy if that happened. ?We must climb, not far now, master is at top of two more cliffs like this one.? Draak turned from Senrai and secured a decent handhold on the warm stone, it was facing east and already the sun had climbed high enough to warm the cool rock. They were moving far too slow, Draak had hoped to be at the cave by late morning but several miles still lay between him and his master and the terrain was hard to traverse. Senrai followed behind the massive creature, uneasy climbing the face, she was not accustomed to climbing mountains, and as far s she knew neither was Draak, being a creature from the swamplands of the south. Senrai sighed and leaned to the side to avoid several loose rocks Draak had disturbed as he powered up the uneven surface. ?Hurry, we already taken too much time, master needs us.? Draak twisted his head down to watch Senrai briefly, she seemed to have little trouble following him but this was the first and easiest climb, the other two were much harder and bordered on several hundred feet of open air. Draak turned back to his climb, quickly pulling himself the rest of the way up the slope and leaning back down to wait for Senrai to gain a height where she could be reached?

Several hours before dawn Draak had reached the foot of the range, its ground harsh and rocky compared to the soft grass he had grown accustom to travelling in. He was now halfway up the first of the seven peaks he was required to climb to reach his master, the small creature had fall into sleep sometime ago, Draak could feel its soft body atop his back. As the sun peaked over the mountains crest Draak decided to stop and take nourishment. He laid the young woman gently on a soft patch of dirt and collected the rabbits he had caught and salted yesterday, he considered offering one his companion but decided against it, she would probably need to start a fire and slow them down even further, besides he was hungry and had only manage to catch two, a meagre meal indeed. Biting into the flesh of the small broken creature Draak withdrew the stone, as he did during most of his resting periods, and began to ponder how it could be so important to his master. Finishing off the second rabbit Draak stood and gathered his things, wondering whether the small figure that travelled with him would have made a better meal than the rabbits, human flesh had so much more taste to it, and if you knew how they could be made to keep for weeks. With a sigh the lizard scooped Senrai?s tiny figure up into his arms and replaced he on the broad expanse of his back, they still had quiet away to go yet and he wouldn?t be able to carry her over the steep peaks ahead, it was better to let her rest now. Draak continued up the narrow winding path, although his paces were slow they were more than large enough to overtake a running man, let alone a walking one. As the pair continued slowly up the peaks they were unaware of the powerful eyes that had fallen upon them. Trapped in the foul confines of the ancient cave the Dark Lasin had regained much of his former powers and now sat gazing out over the land before him, the foolish members of the White Lasin hadn?t even met, he would have no trouble conquering these lands?

?Master sent you?? Draak hissed his confusion down at the bizarre creature, her hand dropping whimsically to her side as the pair continued along the soft, grassy plains. ?Have I done wrong, was I too slow?? ?No, he sent me to you. We are to destroy the White Lasin before they grow to powerful.? Senrai?s soothing voice reached Draak?s ears, the lizard looked down at her weak form and sighed. ?I must go to master.? He paused and fixed the small figure next to him with a cold but weary gaze. ?I must free him from cage, I carry only thing that will break his bonds.? Draak saw his words bore new information to Senrai, maybe she wasn?t supposed to know what he had said, no she has his scent, it can do no harm. ?You come with Draak to the mountains. You can meet master he reward you, reward both of us.? Draak turned from Senrai and continued along the field, the mountains were visible on the horizon and with them grew the pair?s anxiety, he was finally in their grasp, the long hardships they had suffered in his service was about to end, they would both get what they desired most?

Draak walked slowly along the narrow path, tall conifers stood at its sides, like sentinels forced into an eternal watch. The massive lizard?s arms help several large sacks of salt; he could finally prepare the meat he had caught and continue on with the next leg of his journey. As he came back to the small fire of his camp Draak?s rolled an uneasy feeling through his mind, he had been through the very centre of the town and not had a single run in with the folk there, this was strange, the first time he had not been forced to fight his way back out of a human town. The sacks thudded to the ground, crushing the soft grass beneath. Draak lowered his bulk to the ground next to them and started picking sticks from the massive turtle shell that is his shield; it had been so long since he had had the time to tend to such things. The small clearing on the edge of the forest was tranquil, the massive lizard sat in beside the fire it had created in the centre, picking something from its crude shield. Taneth raised a hand and motioned to the guards hidden in the thin layer of trees across the way, the beast seemed to be none the wiser to the human?s presence. Draak slowly pulled himself from the ground and reached into his bag, making for a small black pot lying beside his halberd, the scent of men sat heavily on the air; he hadn?t made it through the town unnoticed after all. With the snap of a twig it all began, three of the six men hidden around the clearing rushed forward, sword drawn, the others levelled their crossbows and took aim, Draak sighed and pulled his weapon from the ground, the spines on his tail flaring out in preparation for battle. The crossbows loosed their quarrels; the Taneth led his men into the lizards bulk. As the deadly projectiles crossed the clearing Draak swung his weapon, throwing a man?s head clear from its shoulders as the massive blade at the shaft?s end made contact. The others dodged behind, assuming the way safe as it was with most humanoids, only to met by the fearsome barbs of Draak?s tail, dripping with thick, syrupy venom. Taneth was next to fall, dropping to the ground as a sickly foam oozed from his seizing mouth, the quarrels reached their target, only to disappear into a soft haze as the powers of the stone Draak?s master had given him revealed themselves. Draak whirled around, catching the last man in the chest with his broad shield, the man landed heavily against the aged trunk of a nearby tree, his back shattered. Levelling their crossbows the last three men loosed their second volley, unsure as to what happened with the first. Again a black mist sprang into being and the quarrels vanished into the air itself. Draak continued forward, crossing the small space between him and his rivals in a mere three bounds. The men threw themselves from their perch deciding their final resting place as the fearsome creature cleared the log. Draak returned to his camp, carefully smothering the fire, shaking his head at the naivety of men. As the sun fell behind the gently rolls of the distant horizon Draak trudged slowly across the plain, his destination was little more than a day?s travel north of here, his master would be waiting for him there, eager to seize the stone which Draak had carried for so long. The lizard paused as a memory crossed through his mind, his master had said that there would be a powerful group trying to prevent him from returning the stone to his master, a special group of devoted followers who were destined for greatness. Draak sighed and wondered why he has seen no sign of such people, why they could possibly want to stop him from freeing his master from the crypt he had been sealed in. Slowly the lizard continued across the plains, heading north to the foreboding stretch of mountains that bordered the sweeping terrain, eager to serve his master and claim his reward, see them pay for all that they had done?

Draak walked nervously down the street, feeling the nervous stares of dozens of humans as he did so. The massive lizard man rounded the corner and passed into the town centre, knocking a, what seemed to him, small and scrawny man sprawling. Jerith looked up surprised as the aqua green lizard bent down and apologized, offering a thick, clawed hand as he did so, several people looked on surprised as he did so. ?Salt, I need to buy salt. Do you know where?? Draak asked the small man using what little of the common tongue he new. Jerith stared for a second longer as he regained his composure and replied?

OOC: Sorry I haven?t posted I kinda? forgot that I signed up for it? ----------------------------------------- ?What a curious creature.? A soft, cold voice slid through the air behind Hakira, as if the wind itself was expressing its distaste of her. She turned with a start, finding little more than the cold emptiness of the air on the building behind her. With a sense of dread building in the pit of her stomach Hakira pulled herself to her feet and moved to the back of the building, looking to see if there was somebody in the alley below, nothing more than looming shadows met her eyes. Shrugging lightly Harika turned back to the roof, the suns last rays long since fallen behind the distant horizon, the feeling of dread grew as she did, pouring into what seemed like every facet of her small body. ?Hello?? She called nervously. ?Ryu?? The air chilled in response and her breath grew thick before her. Hakira felt the urge to run swelling in the backs of her knees, the dread turning to fear. She whirled around in search of its cause. ?So this is what the half breeds have fallen to,? Hakira snapped around, the massive black bulk of Athen greeted her, standing centred on the roof. ?I always said they?d amount to nothing.? The proud figure spat the words at Hakira?s comparatively tiny form. ?W-who?? Hakira stammered, finding she lacked to confidence to speak. Athen crossed the rooftop with a swiftness Hakira had never seen; the air seemed to chill even further with his approach. ?Where is he, you wreak of him?? Athen glared into her face, his intense gaze piercing her soul. ?No I don?t need him yet, I have others that I must find first.? He turned sharply and crossed the roof, ?At least I know who to ask when I am ready for him.? Athen sneered over his shoulder before plunging into the darkness below. Hakira was left standing alone, the air?s sudden chill drifting away, the small figure shivered and pulled its blanket tighter, pondering who that might possibly have been? ----------------------------------------- OOC: Is that ok just let me know if I need to edit it. Again sorry for not posting?

OOC: I know its small but they?ll get bigger as the storyline picks up? ------------------------------------------------ The grass was dry, it?s morning dew long since lost to the harsh glow of the sun, Draak sat watching the stranger from the top of a low hill, the pallid white coloring of his flesh was died red as the sun continued closing on yet another long day, the man seemed to be asking for directions as he motioned towards the town. Draak had grown accustom to a light step and was weary of what few he revealed himself to, the attitudes of men he had expected to receive help from had been less than inviting in the past and the lonely reptile knew better than to arouse the steel weapons of man. Draak turned from the scene below him and moved back to his own camp, little more than a small, well covered fire nestled between the trees of the nearby woods, there he sat the small stone he had been entrusted with in his palm, tossing it slowly from one face to another. The flat piece of rock was dark and smooth, standing less than half an inch high as it lay in the massive beast?s hand, he found it quiet bemusing that such a small trinket could be so important to someone, that someone actually offered his services to the fearsome lizard man. With a sigh that came as little more than a soft hiss to the ears of men Draak pulled himself from the soft dirt and collected his spears, while he had sat musing over the paths laid before him and the future each of them bring with it the sun had finished it?s fall into the starry sky overhead, the night was still young and many a creature was beginning to stir in the nearby trees, Draak Mor had to secure food for the next leg of his long journey. The large bulk of the beast slid seemingly unnoticed into the shadows, leaving the small fire he called his camp safely centered among a low ring of stone?

Ok, as requested I?m posting another character as the Dark Lasin will begin play imprisoned. Talen flew low and fast. Hugging the low, uneven rubble of the sky fortress as he made his way back through the city, carefully avoiding another encounter. The winglie rally point was located a little less than six miles from the city?s edge, tunnelled below the fold of two mountains. Talen passed out of the area covered by the fallen monstrosity and into the war touched city. Ranthier was a large city, built by man and turned into a slave colony by the winglies, now much of it lay ruined from the long battles waged there. Talen quickened his pace as he came to the open streets of the city, he could see the occasional skirmish drawing to its end down the winding networks of streets below. Half an hour after he had first met with Vincent Talen passed over the city?s border, continuing towards the towering range that bordered the surrounding plains. As he flew to his command the ghosts of Talen?s past played across his mind, images of his defection and slaughter of thousands of dragoon warriors began to sink his heart. Sighing he wished the war would just end, that both sides would leave their pride and settle things peacefully. His moment of weakness passed as Talen was forced to confront what he had just done. He alone had caused the deaths of close to a thousand slaves, innocent men, women and children drawn into the war effort through no fault of their own. The sheer and low-cut walls of the valley rose from the horizon, the winglie hold was just ahead. Whenever a city is taken by winglie forces a secure and usually secret hold is created close by. These holds vary in their size and location; some are small and located under the cities while others are hidden away amongst the terrain surrounding the doomed peoples. Talen flew high, pausing there for several minutes in search of would be followers and spies, luckily none had followed him and he continued, low again, into the valley. Several miles down the deep, narrowing trench Talen came to a small ridge running three quarters the way up the northerly cliff face. It was on this ridge that the winglies had tunnelled the northern entrance to their underground network, where a small rocky outcrop gave way to the ledge. Since it?s construction dense foliage had been allowed to grow around the tunnel entrance and now concealed it from view as it did much of the cliff face. Talen landed on the ledge before continuing swiftly into the passage. The air inside the small roughly hewn passage was warm, issuing from the vents deep inside the network. Standing a little way along the entry passage Talen encountered the first pair of the hundreds of winglie guards in the stronghold, they new better than to question the infamous general and did little more than slam their hands upon their breastplates as he passed. As Talen moved deeper into to the winding passageways of the network his comfort levels began to drop. The air deep inside the tunnels was heavy with moisture and yet hot and sickly stale. Talen knew that there was no way to avoid this air, the massive power generators utilizing both the thermal vents readily available at this depth and the cool underground springs that flowed freely through the country could give no better. Talen sighed and continued down another passage, this one was wider and contained several dozen guards, it ended in the heavy metal doors of the command chamber. Talen hurried down the passage and walked unopposed into the chamber that housed all those responsible for the local winglie forces. ?Sir, we are in desperate need of your counsel.? A winglie commander hurried to the general?s side as he entered the room. ?The sky fortress has fallen and has been some time since we heard from first line, I fear our defences have been lost.? ?What of the second line?? Talen glanced coolly at the screens and men scattered around the room as he responded to the somewhat nervous commander. ?Are they prepared for battle?? ?Yes sir, they are ready to fly into the city at once. Is that your order?? Commander Tiers continued, his shoulders relaxing slightly at the general?s response. ?Yes, send the first five waves of the second line, keep the rest here in defence of the network and prepare the third and fourth lines. Once the second line has grown weak send both of these into the city and retreat all those left in the network to Trynill.? ?What of the fifth line sir?? The commander stopped walking and turned to Talen. ?I must take leave; the sky fortress to the south has sent word of a suspected siege. The fifth line is to be summoned to the southern exit, they will come with me and reinforce fortress? defence.? Talen gazed around the room, thinking carefully about his following decision. ?Yes sir, I will have it done at once.? With that Commander Tiers stood silently, waiting for his general?s next command. ?You are now the most senior officer here commander,? he paused and fixed the nervous winglie with a gaze. ?I expect you to keep this post until my return.? ?Yes sir, I will sir.? The commander saluted Talen; the general did not bother returning the pointless gesture and left he room in search of refreshment and a smith to repair his armour. ------------------------------------------------------------ By the time Talen arrived at the southern exit, his armour repaired and his stomach full, the five hundred winglie soldiers of the fifth line stood awaiting their general, all were trained elites and ready for battle, each individual ready to give his life in aid of a comrade. Talen walked slowly onto a small raised platform at one end of the high, domed cavern, the echoing chatter of the army before him silenced as they saw him approach. The general paused, weary from lack of rest and worn from the past?s ghosts that had haunted his last battles, the sun was shinning strongly through the gap in the centre of the ceiling, not yet effected by the billowing smoke issuing from Ranthier. Raising his sword he turned his attentions back to the soldiers before him. ?I fly for Mildurath, city of the sky. I fly fast and I fly light, our arrival will be to that of war, we will have no time to rest. I give you this last chance to turn away and bolster the defence of Ranthier.? He paused and looked around the faces below, none took the option presented. Summoning his voice Talen continued. ?Now I fly, who is with me!? The general bellowed across the chamber, receiving the roars of five hundred men as he led the way through the gap in the cavern?s peak. The fifth line followed, flying as fast as they could to the sky fortress Mildurath?

Sounds fun, but I?m not sure what time and stuff this is occurring in so just let me know if I got it wrong. It wouldn?t hurt to go back and edit the starting post either you know? Title: Athen, Lord of Darkness. Age: 6,357 Gender: Male Appearance: Athen stands at 6?3? with broad shoulders and a perpetual sneer on his face. With white hair kept at shoulder length and long slender arms this ancient vampire gives off a sinister aura strong enough to shatter the confidence in most mortals. Wearing black robes and a long cape Athen conceals his armor well. Below the flowing intricacies of the ancient robes (just read his bio) is a pure black set of heavy full-plate, so dark it seems to absorb the light around it. Weapons: The legendary broadsword known as Rharimmir. This weapon is truly massive, at 5?2?, and takes considerable skill to wield it; few have been powerful enough to use the magic of the sword. Athen also carries a set of punching daggers, which are built into the master-crafted armor he wears. These daggers retract into the gauntlets when they are not needed. Bio: Athen?s story is far too long to recount here so I will put just the important stuff and reveal it more as I post. The first union of vampires (I?ll leave them nameless as this is not my plot.) resulted in Athen?s birth; he was the first ?pureblood? and considers those younger than him to be unworthy of such a title. Living through the many ages of man Athen has seen the rise and fall of vast empires, he has defeated legions of men thrown upon him and conquered much of the old world. Wielding an ancient blade known as the Rharimmir Athen raised vast legions into undeath and set his might against the world. At the age of 324 he lead the biggest campaign history has ever seen and leveled the empires of man. With all but a few under his dominion Athen turned his attentions to his heart and fell in love with a young half caste vampire, Katherine Tatyana. Athen?s first generation parents forbid such a mismatch union and turned against Athen, he was forced to kill his parents and begun the pursuit of the young beauty. Vanity claimed the Lord and his vast empire as his obsession grew. The commands coming from his once great and highly looked upon fortress began to grow few and the generals of his forces fell into civil war. With the vampires fighting amongst themselves the race of man began to grow in strength and number. The fledgling people united what little they had and set about a counter assault on the Lord of the Darkness? armies, still inattentive and obsessed with his unattainable maiden Athen grew weary of his legions and bade them look after themselves, the forces of darkness fell again to man for the first time. Athen himself was defeated by a captain of his army, furious with his Lords incompetence the Captain marched his force into Athen?s weakly held fortress and engaged the proud vampire in combat. Realizing that he had little chance of defeating Athen if he possessed the legendary blade the Captain brought with him a powerful artifact, the Stones of Helishmer. These stones had the ability to disarm and seal the mightiest of evils away below the earth, however they required the sacrifice of twelve ?pureblood? vampires to activate them. Using what little of Athen?s forces remained the Captain gathered together the vampires and carried them bound into the stronghold of the Lord of Darkness. An incredible battle ensued, for many long days the vampires battled against each other, until finally the Captain revealed the Helishmer and the ashes of his freshly slain vampires. The power of the stone ruptured Athens will and sealed his wounded body deep inside the earth, trapping him between the planes themselves. The mighty blade Rharimmir was lost, sealed between the folds of time and space as Athen used the last of his strength to call upon the powers issuing from the Helishmer to hide the powerful blade. Laying in wait, healing his wounds and building his power, Athen bided his time; eventually he would be able to strike back at the traitor that had cost him dearly. That time has come. With darkness rising through the world once again Athen?s powers have grown, recently he was able to break free from his prison and travel back to the realms of man. After retrieving the Stone of Helishmer from it?s long forgotten resting place Athen now moves to find twelve ?pureblood? vampires and use the power of the stone to regain the possession of the Rharimmir and wreak revenge upon the bloodline of the Captain who betrayed him, the bloodline of Aruzan? Ok, I hope I get in, this storyline seems like it could be some real fun. Oh and just PMe if I need to edit any of that. PS My average post length is this long, just so you know.

OOC: Sigh? --------------------------------------------------- Talen gazed briefly into the tornado, light shimmering in an almost fantastic display around the ice it held, before shifting his attentions back to Ryden. The proud warrior stood his ground, the broad blade of Talen?s sword clenched in his oozing hand. Smirking in amusement Talen twisted the blade, slightly, aggravating the gash along Ryden?s hand. The warrior?s face hardened and he continued to hide the pain. ?Last chance, flee now and I will spare your lives.? Talen glared at them in turn, his stern gaze shattering their confidence. The Winglie on the ground began scrambling away, knowing that none were exempt from the general?s words. ?So be it.? Talen finished, receiving nothing more than silence. Talen let the blade slip from his grasp and ducked under his own weapon, still holding the weight of the massive blade in one had Ryden tried to bring his blade up to counter the movement but was too slow. Talen sprung from the ground, slamming into Ryden?s chest, and reached back around for the now free falling blade. Following the motion through with his mighty wings Talen pushed Ryden high into the air, the he allowed him to fall loose, the warrior caught himself on his wings. Now well above the reach of the ice filled tornado the pair readied their weapons and prepared for battle, leaving the tiny form of Aoshi far below. Not wanting to be dismissed the budding young warrior flared his wings and powered as hard as he could towards Talen, drawing his weapon as he did. Seeing what was going to happen Ryden rushed forward, frantically trying to make a difference. As the gap closed between his and his rivals, one from below, the other the front, Talen sneered and rolled back on his wings, waiting for the young one below to clse the gap, to seal his doom. Aoshi sped towards the general, unaware of the skill the treacherous dragoon possessed. Talen let his wings go limp and began a free fall towards the ground, closing his wings around himself he increased his speed and readied his blade. The innocent face of the young dragons flew closer, Talen twirled his blade and slide at along the man?s underbelly, surprised to find that he had been foolish enough to travel so close to the war and not secure a set of armor. Continuing his fall Talen caught the barest of glimpse Aoshi?s face, it still had not registered the pain that he was bound to fell. Talen stopped his fall, holding himself several dozen feet below the point he had passed Aoshi. Careful to avoid the mass of blood falling to the ground, followed closely by the limp form of Aoshi, again Talen?s accuracy had been off and he had done little more than remove a considerable chunk of the young warrior?s side, no organs had been penetrated. Talen whirled around and drew his blade up to block the oncoming rush of Ryden, the dragoon?s ferocity had more than tripled as he witnessed the innocent man?s defeat. Smirking all the more Talen continued to dart through the sky, easily blocking Ryden?s attacks, dodging those that he could not. ?You may be strong,? Talen growled over the crossing blades, ?but you are too slow, as your comrades were before you.? Ryden glared back with all the hatred in the world, knowing that there was no way he could keep pace with the frantic movements of Talen. Strangely he never returned an attack, despite being one of the most formidable foes Ryden had yet faced Talen had not once returned a blow. Continuing to flitter around the sky Talen refused to attack the dragoon, sneering as he watched the confusion flicker quickly across his face before it was hidden before. ?I will let you go and help him.? Talen rolled over the blades and let himself drop behind Ryden. ?He will bleed to death if you do not go.? Talen waited for his words to sink in. ?I give my word that I will allow you to leave, I have far more important things to do than chase after you.? Ryden paused considering the general?s proposition?

I always end up being bad in the end anyways, so why not just start bad? Name: Dark Lasin Age: Really, really, really old. Race: Originally from the ancient and long forgotten race known as the Nazrugii, the Dark Lasin has ascended the restraints of a corporeal form and can no longer be considered a 'race' as such. Class: Sorcerer, yet again it has ascended beyond such a thing. Affiliation: The true source of evil... Personality: The Dark Lasin is an evil and impossibly corrupt 'being'. While not the original or source of evil the powerful entity that many worship as the Darkin Lasin is a vast and brooding entity, it's tactics are fickle and it ever seeks to bend the world around it's foul will. Commanding many legions of orcs the Great Tormenter often takes guis and walks among his enemy, wrecking havoc in all that he can, and takes delight in witnessing the aftermath of his own malicious deeds. Description: The Dark Lasin no longer has a form, though he can appear as almost anything he chooses, he usually takes the form of a poor young woman or a stern middle-aged man when trying to decieve the peoples of the world. When commanding his army from the shadows of the vast underground caverns that most inhabit the Lasin apears as a vague black mist hovering around the corners of the viewers vision, most believe that this is his natural form and the one in which he takes rest, should he need to take it. When marching into battle the foul lord takes the form of a massive fiery man, clad in a master-crafted suit of black full plate. Bio: We I don't really want to write this as what ever I write changes the way Dragoon's world works, I can come back and edit if you PM on how you would like the world to feel. Hopefully I got everything, oh and excuse and spelling mistakes, normally I would run my posts through a spell checker but I simple didn't have the time. I also need to warn you that I have a habit of posting alot, both in quantity and frequency. SKEDY EDIT: If it is ok with everyone, to keep the mystery, suspense and my amusement high, I would like to be able to play four or five uninfluential[sp?] characters at the same time. This way I can keep just who the real Dark Lasin is a secret, though I will post where it is obvious who he is, and keep all you goody too-shoes guessing. And if you can't get anymore people for evil characters, like orcs and drow, I can play them too. Don't worry I can just put them all into one super-sized post, I can do it! This link leads to a thread where I played 2 characters: www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34331&perpage=15&pagenumber=7 And this to my most recent post as of editing: www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35418&pagenumber=2 Sigh I need to get a life... -
Talen stopped his ascent and looked back down at the pair, still surprised by the abilities Kaiya?s bow possessed. His muscles aching as electrical currents moved through his armour Talen closed his wings and began a free fall back towards his opponents, Vincent was moving too fast to stop in time and Kaiya was still too far below the pair to catch up. As the black bulk of Vincent?s armour rushed passed Talen sneered and extended his hand and caressed Vincent?s black chest plate with his gauntlet. The young warrior writhed with pain and began to fall to the ground as Talen the currents rolling around his armour. Talen turned his attention back towards Kaiya, who released another arrow upon receiving his stern gaze. Sneering Talen continued his plummet, leaving the writhing Vincent high in the air above him. Kaiya loosed another arrow into the air, missing the oncoming bulk of Talen by little more than a foot, and began to fall backwards trying desperately to avoid the onslaught of the Winglie Dragoon. Talen flared his wing and drew his sword, stopping a mere handful of feet in front of Kaiya. This time he lashed out at the young woman?s arms, avoiding the alloy centre of the bow, Kaiya rolled desperately away from the furious blade strokes, she was not used to close combat and was having difficulty avoiding the general?s attacks. Vincent pulled his still twitching body around to find Talen, he was several dozen feet below, darting across the sky as he chased after Kaiya, the Dragoon warrior was too busy dodging Talen?s blows to be able to niche another arrow. Vincent urged his wings to move and made his way cautiously back towards his comrade. ?You can?t win.? Talen sneered across his blade. ?You do not have the speed or the skill to win this combat.? Kaiya glared at Talen as he attempted to whittle away at he r confidence. Talen?s attacks doubled their pace, striking with more and more accuracy as the electricity dissipated from his armour. Kaiya began frantically falling away from the unbelievable speed the traitor warrior possessed. Talen sneered and paused for the briefest of seconds, Kaiya caught sight of movement over Talen?s shoulder. She was horrified to see a maniacal grin break upon his face, he knew Vincent was coming and she had no time to warn him. Vincent hurtled through the air towards Talen, ignoring the effects he was still suffering from the electricity. Attempting to use Talen?s own trickery against him Vincent made sure Kaiya could see him coming, the last thing he wanted to do was cripple a comrade. Talen raised his blade inline with his chest, holding it there as some crude stake on which he would slay his foe. Raising one foot he rolled back on his wings and booted Kaiya heavily in the chest, she well backwards surprised and winded the bow fell from he grasp. Like a child in a pull, Talen sprung away from Kaiya and towards Vincent, the young man?s eyes went wide as he realized what was happening, there was nothing he could do, he had far too much momentum to stop and Talen had positioned himself such away Vincent had no hope of hitting him with a blade. Kaiya fell backwards, trying desperately to regain her balance, she was forced to watch the events play out before her, unable to turn fast enough to avoid them. Talen cut through the air faster than she had seen any of her arrows move, and Vincent hurtled forwards helplessly. Kaiya knew she would always remember the obscene grin Talen worn on his face as the massive blade slid through Vincent?s still writhing abdomen, blood filled the air around the warriors and Talen pivoted on his blade, bringing his legs up to Vincent?s chest he rolled them around so that Vincent?s back was once again facing the ground. There he pushed the young warrior?s crippled body off his sword, allowing him to fall freely to the ground below. Talen turned his gaze to Kaiya, shattering what little confidence she still had. ?You can either stay and fight me,? the general sneered to the warrior. ?Unarmed. Or you can go and save your friend.? Dismay splashed across Kaiya?s face as she tossed the decision in he mind. ?Don?t worry,? Talen continued to sneer. ?I missed his organs, all you?ll need to do is stop the bleeding if you wish to save him.? Pausing he looked down at the shattered form of Vincent, lying oddly atop a pile of rubble. ?Though it is beyond my why you would.? Without another word Talen turned and flew away at great speed, he had wasted enough time on Dragoons for one day and was eager to return to his own fortress, his city. Kaiya rushed to the ground; quickly she collected her bow and moved to Vincent?s side, finding that Talen?s words had been true. The blade had pierced little more than the flesh of the young warrior and he would live if she could stop the bleeding? --------------------------------- OOC: Reading back over this post I'd just like to apologize for it. I've come to realize that it is awfully unfair towards both Annie's and Sic's characters, in future I will try to avoid doing such posts, in the mean time please tell me if you think that I'm doing anything similar. Thanks.

Kaiya scrambled along the ground and retrieved her bow, standing she cocked an arrow and took aim. The air crackled as the electrically charged arrow flew towards the combatants, to no avail. The arrow exploded as it hit the wall of dark energy swirling through the air. Talen pushed hard against Vincent?s blade, no matter how hard he pushed there was just no way that he could beat the Dragoon, yet at the same time Vincent was facing a similar problem. Deciding that this was going nowhere Talen pulled away from Vincent with unmatchable speed, not expecting his opponent to flee Vincent fell forward loosing sight of his opponent. Quickly the young warrior caught himself on his wings. Quickly he began to turn his head, twirling through the air at speed in search of what possibly was the greatest warrior he has ever faced. Vincent was dimly aware of the harsh sounds of the battle as he felt the impact, he knew that time wasn?t moving as slow as it seemed as he began to fall, yet this did nothing to halt the phenomenon. Vincent was twirled through the air; his back was being hurled towards the ground with incredible speed. His mistake became apparent to the young warrior as the ground screamed towards him. Talen had grabbed Vincent from behind and was now flying as hard as he could towards the ground, using Vincent?s own bulk against him. Vincent struggled against Talen?s grip; still unable to free himself the Dragoon warrior closed his eyes and prepared for the impact. The hairs on the back the two men?s necks twitched as the air writhed with electricity. Talen heard the clink of the arrow on his arm milliseconds before it exploded, throwing him away from the ground and into a chunk of the Skyfortress? rubble, Vincent?s hapless body in tow. Kaiya lowered her bow shakily and moved towards Vincent, he was lying at the base of a large chunk of rubble. Weakly he pulled himself up from the ground and looked at the young woman. ?T-thankyou.? He stammered, still suffering from shock at the speed at which the events had just taken place. ?He?s dead right?? ?I wouldn?t be so sure.? Kaiya looked doubtfully at the mound of rubble the general had disappeared into. ?Especially if he is who I think he?? Kaiya stopped dead as the rubble exploded into the air, disturbing the freshly settled dust and hiding the area from view again. The dust seemed to fall for an eternity, slowly dropping to reveal Talen?s foreboding bulk. Smirking he looked to his armour before raising his weapon, the arrow had left little more than a dint in the master crafted suit. Blood oozed along Talen?s stern brow as Kaiya levelled her bow and Vincent raised his sword. The string loosened and Vincent sprung forwards but Talen was already gone, drawing the combat back high into the air. Kaiya took flight, followed closely by Vincent?

Talen dropped gracefully to the ground, the massive bulk of the Skyfortress shattering the earth behind him. Winglies and Dragoons alike fell to the ground all around, most dead but several started to pull themselves weakly off the ground. Smirking Talen drew his sword and began towards the city, relieving Dragoon?s of their heads as he went. It wasn?t long before Talen had crossed through the rubble of the once massive Skyfortress, on foot in the hopes of avoiding detection, and was on his way through the now broken Dragoon battle line. ?Who are you?? A stern voice called through the settling dust, still unable to see clearly Talen turned towards the sound of the voice, careful to keep his face free of expression. The crackling of electricity filled the air and the dust parted, revealing a tall and proud Dragoon warrior, her bow was drawn and level with Talen?s head. Hearing the twang of the string Talen threw one leg into the air, crossing his body it pulled the rest of the Ex-Dragoon?s bulk around in a massive flip, Talen spread his wings and listened to the no doubt powerful arrow crackle past. With a smirk and a mighty flap of his wings Talen closed the gap between him and his assailant, still daunted by the appearance of the rouge Dragoon and surprised by his speed Kaiya was unable to stop Talen disarming her of the bow she relied on, the hard wood of its shaft clattering unseen in the dust. Deciding he could afford to have a little fun Talen threw a fist at the young woman, holding his sword back behind his body, safely out of her reach. Kaiya raised an arm and blocked his assault, Showing that she had much higher reflexes than those that she had just shown. Talen smirked and whirled into attack, throwing fist after fist at the defenseless warriors. Unable to land a hit he began to grow frustrated and leveled his sword at Kaiya, increasing the speed of his of his attacks beyond that which she suspected he could go. Still having little luck wounding the young warrior before him Talen resorted to using his feet as well as his sword. The pair could hardly be seen from a distance as the flitted frantically through the plumes of dust littering the air, for several more minutes they continued their combat, whirling around one another at impossible speeds, neither able to land a hit on the other. Finally Talen drew the first blood. Tripping Kaiya to the ground he twirled in the air, drawing his blade across Kaiya?s right arm. Smirking he stopped the insane dance and leveled the tip of his blade with her throat. ?You fought well,? Talen sneered at her. ?But not well enough.? He sent the dark energies he had learned to master long ago into his blade and prepared to deal the young warriors her final blow?

OOC: Sorry to move it along that fast. I just think that it would be better to develop the plot a little more before we start with all the big battles and hoo-ha. --------------------------------- ?I will not stand by and let them take this city.? Talen?s gaze focused on the nervous captain at his side. The pair was standing deep in the middle of the city?s main fortress, safely locked away from the battle raging above. ?Take the rest of the unit and push through with a spearhead,? pausing he fixed the nervous subordinate with the cold glare of his eyes. ?Remember that your objective is to delay their forces and cause as much confusion as you possibly can.? Talen turned from the center of the room and moved to a door resting along the back wall, there he paused. ?Don?t linger any longer than you need, you and your men?s lives are no longer my concern.? With that he left his captain to his own devices and followed the passages leading deeper into the heart of the massive chunk of rock the city had been built upon. --------------------------------- The crash of the door went unheard of as the captain threw it open. The Winglie officer led the charge, his men crashing into a sea of Dragoon warrior on the rampart between towers 1 and 2. Several of the Dragoons yelled and fell back, towards the tower, their stand against the Winglie assault had faltered. --------------------------------- Dust filled the air in the wake of Talen?s footfalls, the passages had not been used in many years and the filth had been allowed to settle. He was almost there, a bare hundred feet from the chamber that housed the equipment used to keep the massive city aloft. Talen drew his sword and prepared to end the battle overhead. --------------------------------- The captain stood knee deep in a pile of Winglie bodies. The main face of the battle had moved back towards the courtyards in the center of the fortress, leaving Captain Phendril, with less then half a dozen soldiers, stranded on the rampart, alone with a terror he dare not face. ?I will not stand by and let my men die, scum.? He shouted to the Dragoon stopping their advance. ?We will fight to our last breath!? The captain raised his weapon and charged, his men only footfalls behind. ?So be it.? Vincent sighed and twirled his blades through his hand, building up momentum for the oncoming mob. --------------------------------- Talen slashed at the complex array of piping and wires in front of him, the energies of his blade sliced through the heavy iron as if it were butter to a heated knife. Everyone felt the stone behemoth begin to drop, most saw the massive plumes of steam erupt around the walls of towers 2 and 4. Dragoons and Winglies alike were thrown like rag dolls as the city plummeted. ?We haven?t lost a city yet and I?ll be damned if I ever let that happen.? Talen muttered to himself as he sprinted from the chamber. --------------------------------- The ground shuddered and Vincent bent low to keep his balance, the bodies of the Winglies that had attacked him lay in a heap on the cracking rampart. Spreading his wings the Dragoon took to the air, joining several more of his comrades in the space that the Sky fortress had once claimed. A dark shape fell from the inverted apex of the behemoth as it fell into ruin, the figure rolled away and spread it?s wings moments before it hit the ground. No one-saw Talen slink away in the dust surrounding the final resting place of the Fortress? ruin. The Dragoon army began to regroup, this was their first victory in a long time and most were aghast as the realization that they had just brought down a Sky fortress set in?

OOC: Um? the copies don?t bleed, unless your trying to do some funky ass plot thing and have the original killed? Anyways I won't be back until the 29th so please don't mess up my already screwed characters. Merry Christmas! ------------------------------------------------ Talen felt his heart sink as he glared back at Angel; this was the real one, the original. Pulling himself up off the ground he drew his weapons and glanced around for help, Athen had disappeared, he was stranded in the middle of a ring of fire with the one person he doubted he could kill. ?Enough stalling.? Talen called across the ring to Angel, dusting himself off as he did. ?You don?t seriously think you can win, do you now?? He leapt into the air, Angel followed his lead, the pair?s blades clashed together and their feet skirted along the ground briefly before beginning their dance around one another. ?Its good to see you have finally accepted your fate Talen.? The youth said to himself as the last scenes of his tortured past faded away. ?Now we can share the powers that only together we can unlock.? The world twirled around them and disappeared into a white haze, extending in every direction, all a blur except a small stone pedestal. It sat just in front of the Talens; a small black orb shimmered atop it, the fury of the elements, the power of the spheres waiting to be unleashed. The Talens smirked to one another and placed a hand on the sphere? Slowly the mirage sphere filled with a black cloud as it hung around Talen?s neck, he ignored it and continued his frantic dance with Angel. She was skilled in combat and was adept at using her powers but Talen new he had the upper hand, new that they had the upper hand? Athen, the real Athen had arrived at the bottom of the slope. He had seen the flaming ring; he could see Talen and Angel whirling around inside, but something else had caught his eye. Lying in the shadow of a nearby tree was a body; it looked like it had been thrown out of the ring. Athen rushed over to see who it was, to decide whether to save them or to kill them? ------------------------------------------------ Athen [the copy] could feel the cold touch of the soft grass pressing against his back, feeling weak he lay still leaving his eyes closed as he tried to remember how he had gotten here. He could remember destroying Hitokage, he could remember trying to control its body but then what? Sensing someone nearby Athen opened his eyes only to find his eyes staring back at him. Smirking he plunged a hand into his chest, slipping into himself, disappearing into his mind. ------------------------------------------------ Athen?s [the real one] world spun around him, melding into a solid grey blur before changing into a cement box. Four cement walls, one cement ceiling and one cement floor, that was all there was? Talen smirked as his face moved closer to Angel?s; a thick layer of sweat was rolling down across its beauty. Talen knew that she was starting to wear down; this fight was too much for her. Twirling around he continued to throw blade after blade at her, stopping only when the space between them was larger than the biggest pace. There he brought his blades together and let a massive blast of fire loose at Angel. Too far to attack and too close to dodge Angel took the blast in the stomach, she was thrown several feet into the air, landing inches away from the flaming walls that kept them together. Smirking Talen lowered his blades and waited for Angel to get back up, she had already begun to heal herself with the power of the medic sphere, copying it with her own. No sooner had Angel pulled herself up off the ground was Talen upon her. Twirling around one another the obscene dance continued, it?s pace driven by the clashing serenade of the couple?s blades. Moving around the ring the pair continued at one another, neither able to land a hit, neither able to think for the fear that their instincts would let a block fail. Unleashing blasts among the blades of their fury the pair drove each other across the clearing. Unable to spill his opposition?s blood Talen felt his frustration raising, it?s malice seeping into his footwork. Twirling around Talen gave away his balance and Angel pushed back against him, forcing the young man to run against his step and fall to the ground. An hour seemed to fall inside a minute and a minute inside a second as Talen felt himself fall. He saw the brilliant streak of blood fly across the space, hiding the face of beauty from his view, then the pain seared through his shoulder. Hope fled Talen?s heart as the void continued to slip passed, rising again faster than the furious climb of a roller coaster as he watched the sais [I think you use one of them] fly from Angel?s hand. Talen seized the opportunity and lashed out with his blade. Drawing its deadly edge across Angel?s leg. Faltering she continued with the momentum and fell towards Talen, tumbling to the ground. Time pulled itself free from the grasp of insanity and returned to its normal pace. Talen rolled from the ground as fast as he could, twirling one of his legendary blades in a swift arc to it?s resting place centred on Angel?s neck? ------------------------------------------------ Talen pulled his hand off of the sphere and leaped over the low pedestal, landing on top of his copy in a heap. Continuing his assault he hammered the youth with his fists, summoning all his will as he did. Talen [copy] opened his eyes to the sight of plain grey stone; he was standing in the crypt he had created for himself. ?No!? His own voice echoed into his mind as the real Talen regained control over his body, horrified by the scene before him? ------------------------------------------------ Talen looked into Angel?s eyes, he could see the fear that most could not. Taking in the scene around his grip on the dagger at her neck began to loosen. Angel was on her knees, completely at Talen?s mercy, it was his choice whether she lived or died. The dagger fell to the ground, slipping from Talen?s grasp as he crumpled to his knees. Angel got to her feet, shock slipping through the careful filter on her face. ?S-s-sorry, I?m sorry.? Unable to look Angel in the face Talen lowered his face into his hands and began to weep, blood and sorrow filled the air around him as the wound on his shoulder went unchecked, as the young man put himself at the mercy of Angel? Athen glared into the flaming circle, furious at the defection of his friend. Looking to see Mika standing on the opposite side of the arena Athen slunk into the shadows, moving back up the mountain to find someone he could trust. The flames began to subside, shrinking slowly to the ground. Shiro and the others had all moved away during the fight, seizing the opportunity to escape unnoticed?

Name: Talen Age: 27 Description: Standing at 6? 4? Talen wears a heavy black breastplate, with teal designs running along it, complete with a large black mantle and flowing teal cape. His lower body is protected by a set of equally heavy black plates. The large dragoon wings stemming from Talen?s back glow a dull scarlet until he engages in battle where the flare into a vibrant blood red. Talen?s wears his jet-black hair short and slightly spiked; he has emerald green eyes and accentuated canines. Bio: Talen was raised as a dragoon from an early age, specializing in the dark elements he showed immense potential for leader ship, by the age of nineteen he was leading a force of over two thousand men into battle. As time passed Talen?s powers grew, along with the loyalty of his troops. It was not long before the legion that followed Talen were more loyal to him than the race they had sworn to protect. Eventually Talen began to doubt whether or not the war could be won by simply fighting to the death. After having to deal with Wingly ambassadors throughout the Kraken?s Ravine campaign Talen started to put his hopes into a peaceful resolution. The dragoon forces were not ready for such a radical change and rejected Talen?s ideas. Feeling betrayed and saddened by the naivety of his people Talen defected, taking his legions to the wingly empire. After being accepted into a confused wingly empire Talen quickly lost what little faith he still had in the other dragoons and became infamous as he sent his brainwashed legions into battle, slaughtering hundreds of his old allies at a time. Now Talen is one of the highest-ranking members of the wingly army and the only known defector to date. His old forces dwindled down to a mere hundred soldiers, they now form an elite guard for Talen and his fortress centred in a massive wingly city high above the ground, Talen now commands a new force of winglies against the dragoon army? OOC: Hey! No fair, twice now. Twice I?ve tried to merge the Athens and twice people have stopped me. Please don?t get all psychotic again Arika, please. --------------------------------------------------------- Angel glared at herself with a hatred so intense Talen could have sworn he?d seen it on the air. Unable to continue after Athen he turned and followed Angel?s copy back down the hill, by the time he had arrived the two were already swinging at one another. Smirking he join the fray. Athen stopped and turned towards Angel and here companions, furious that he had been cut off from his prize. He moved back down the slope, moving to engage the animal Angel had called Hitokage; it was the same panther he had almost killed in their first encounter. Stepping forward with a slash of his scythe Athen began his fight. Talen ducked and rolled out of the way of one of Angel?s blades, he wasn?t exactly sure as to which one owned it. Angel turned to herself, forced to let Talen out of her sight for the moment. Rolling into the middle of the pair Talen stood with a dagger at each woman?s throat, both paused at the new threat. The world around Talen shifted again, this time he could see Angel. Two of her, one poised at the end of each dagger, he thrust the legendary blades forward, careful not to injury either of the Angels. ?And what?s this supposed to teach me Talen?? He called out over his shoulder, assuming his double was standing in his usual place. ?What weakness am I supposed to be undoing?? There was no reply, only a strange look on both Angel?s faces. Athen risked a glance towards Talen, standing in between the two young women he feared so much. Hitokage pounced into the air, knocking Athen flat on the ground, sneering the young man loosed one hand from his scythe and plunged it deep into the beast?s chest, slowly sliding away from the scene. This animal was a hard one; it had a strong will. Talen shook his head, the look of confusion fading from his face. Angel rammed an elbow hard into his chest, winding him as he was thrown to the ground. ?This is our fight.? Both Angel?s looked to Talen as they spoke in union. Talen pulled himself off to one side and sat down, watching as the two rivals began to twirl around one another. The glinting of their metal blades and the flashing of the mixed magic made the fight hard to follow, even though the pair were exactly the same. Each one new what the other was about to do and exactly how to counter is, nothing in their memories was different, nothing before Angel first walked into Mirror City. Athen?s world changed as he took control of the creature?s body, it wasn?t like other animals. It was more wilful, stronger than most creatures; Athen had had to tap into the power of both his scythe and the Nature Crystal to crush the things mind. The panther that had previously contained Hitokage?s mind lay oddly on the ground. Athen had been bombarded when he had gained control of its body, this form could do so many things that he was not used to; he had to concentrate just to prevent it from falling into a shapeless blob. Slowly Athen pulled the body up off of the ground, looking to the Angel?s as they fought, neither seemed aware that he had taken control over her precious companion?s body, destroying it?s mind as he did?

OOC: Um, Athen, Shankul and Ryo, I assume that is whom you mean were already engaged with Mika. They weren't just standing there watching the fight. ---------------------------------------- Laughing Athen turned his back to Lou and looked around to see how Talen and Angel were fairing against Shiro. He was surprised to see Shiro on the ground, helpless beneath Talen's blade. Athen turned back towards Lou and Shankul, their fight seemed utterly pointless as neither could land a successful attack, despite Ryo's help. When Athen turned to find Mika however he came up short, she had disappeared. Sighing the youth turned his attention to his other, the real Athen wasn't far away now he could sense him. 'Talen, Angel we must go.' Athen called to his comrades. Talen looked over his shoulder at Athen then back down at Shiro. 'Aw, he ruins all my fun.' With a smirk he darted away, leaving Shiro crippled on the dew soaked ground. ---------------------------------------- 'Remember him, you should.' Talen sneered over his shoulder. They were now standing on the twenty-first floor of Talen's uncle's office building. 'Of course I do, he raised me.' Talen replied to his evil counterpart. 'Yes, but he never really wanted to.' Talen continued as his uncle answered the phone. The expression on his face started with shock and slowly gave way to frustration. 'No, there is no way I can look after a kid.' Talen's uncle spoke into the handset. 'I know there is nobody else but can't you just put him in a foster home or something?' Talen felt weak in the stomach as he was forced to realize something he had always know. 'See Talen he never really wanted you. You were nothing more than a burden to him.' Talen sneered into his ear. ---------------------------------------- 'Are you ok?' Talen asked as he ran alongside Angel, the pair were following Athen up a small winding trail, his double wasn't much further ahead. 'Yeah, fine.' She replied, appreciating his concern. The threesome pushed forwards, driven by Athen's relentless pursuit. Ryo and Shankul had been left behind with Shiro and Lou, the three cared not for their safety, they had their own objectives that needed to be fulfilled...

OOC: Again sorry if my posts are too long or too frequent. -------------------------------------- Athen cursed and pulled himself up off of the ground. Searching frantically for Angel and his double the young man dashed across the street and watched Karanlik?s body twitch. Deciding that he couldn?t stand against Karanlik and it was too dangerous with Angel in the area Athen fled for the city?s edge, back down the mountain towards Shiro?s and Mika?s blips? -------------------------------------- ?This is where they died Talen, this is where the doctors failed you, where humanity first turned it?s back on you.? Talen stood in the emptied hall of the hospital, his double standing behind him as he spoke. ?Why do you protect them Talen, why won?t you see them for what they are?? ?No. It wasn?t their fault there was nothing they could do to save them, it had to be this way.? Talen interjected. ?If our parents could hold on, could save themselves from that.? Talen saw the car impacting with the truck again, briefly this time, as the other spoke. ?It was an accident. Nothing could have saved them, it is nobody?s fault my parents died.? Talen denied what he was being told. He began to run down the corridor towards the doors at the end. ?You can?t escape Talen, the only way out of here is to accept the truth.? His double?s voice was no quieter, despite the distance between them. Talen reached the door and flung it open. He was standing at the other end of the corridor, looking back into the place he had just fled. The other Talen stood on either side of him now, looking in on him from the twin corridors. Talen turned back towards the other. This is my mind now Talen and there is nothing you can do to change that.? His counterpart sneered at him from either side. ?However I am willing to share it with you, once you have accepted the truth, once your strong, once you?re like me.? -------------------------------------- Driven by their goal, their obsession to obtain their real bodies the copies hurried down the narrow passage. None of them were aware that their target had been moved to the mountain?s highest peak. Athen was the first to exit the passage. He was standing in a small ditch, dotted with trees. He could hear the sounds of Shiro?s and Mika?s fight coming from over a nearby crest. Talen emerged with the others and they all hurried over the crest, expecting to see Athen, their next target, engaged in battle. Instead all they found was Shiro and Mika throwing blasts of energy at them. ?Where is he?? Athen half yelled, as he withdrew his Omnilink. A teal blip had appeared just outside Mirror City, it was moving down the mountain, towards them. ?How did he get up there?? Ryo?s copy asked. ?It does not matter, he is coming back to us now any way.? Talen looked to Athen. Mika and Shiro had paused at the sight of the mixed group; not knowing that they were copies neither of them could explain why Angel and Ryo were standing in allegiance with the three corrupts. ?We had best occupy ourselves while we wait.? Angel swept an arm towards Mika and Shiro. ?A fine idea if you ask me.? Talen took Angel?s lead and drew his daggers, moving with her towards Shiro. Athen moved with Ryo and Shankul towards Mika. Talen began the hostilities with a swing from his dagger, not realizing that Talen now had his own legendary weapon Shiro smirked and brought a sword up to block it. ?You sure you can beat me?? Shiro sneered, twirling around and slashing at Talen with his free sword. Talen blocked it with his second dagger, dragging the first one along the length of Shiro?s blade, freeing it for another slash. ?No, but unlike you Shiro I have friends, allies.? Shiro slashed with his blade, Talen caught the powerful weapon with a dagger but only after it had left a shallow gash in his shin. ?And where are your friends now?? Shiro smirked in Talen?s face as he pushed him to the ground, their blades tangled between one another?s chests. Angel stepped forward and lashed out at Shiro, not suspecting an attack Shiro almost failed to block it with one of the Einlizers. As Talen dropped to the ground the power of the blade sent Angel flying close to a dozen meters into the air. Using the distraction to his advantage Talen lashed out at Shiro?s leg, leaving a long gash up the length of his calf. Already overbalanced Shiro fell heavily to the ground. Talen stood up and held a blade to his throat, looking around for Angel as he did? -------------------------------------- Athen drew his scythe; unlike the original?s weapon this one was not legendary. Ryo and Shankul had already begun assailing Mika. She could handle to two of them with some difficulty but when Athen entered the fray Mika had to work her hardest to stop from being hit, the number of attacks coming her way was overwhelming? -------------------------------------- Athen sprinted down the uneven mountainside; it wasn?t much further to where he had last seen Mika and Shiro?s blips. As he ran he could feel that there was something else up ahead, maybe it was his copy, maybe it was just déjà vu. Athen quickened his pace until he was going as fast as his legs could carry him? -------------------------------------- OOC: To try and stop confusion please note that the Angel, Ryo and Shankul attacking Mika and Shiro are actually the copies from Mirror City. These copies want to replace the original versions of them and have no animosity with each other.

OOC: Sorry Scanerryo but it is next to impossible for Ryo to travel that fast, both Talens are too far away. For now I?ll just ignore that bit of your post so you can come back and edit the end of it. -------------------------------------------- The massive bulk of the dragon heaved itself up off of the ground before shrinking back into its eagle form. The guardian them limped over to Angel to assist her with her wounds? Talen looked back over his shoulder, he could hear noises coming from further along the tunnel he and Athen had come through not before. Getting ready for the worst Talen stood up and check his Omnilink to see who was coming towards them, the device showed Shankul, Ryo, Angel and himself. The group coming down the tunnel must be the copies, why else would members from the corrupts be travelling with uncorrupts? ?It?s the copies, they?ve followed us.? Talen said urgently as Athen clambered up off the ground. ?We have to go.? Athen crossed the cavern painfully slow. Talen could feel the urgency spill over onto his face, they were going to be here any second and Athen showed no sign of moving. ?Don?t you get it, there is no way that we can fight them.? ?I know, I have nothing to fear from them.? Athen said slowly, softly as he walked closer to Talen. Talen?s face began to soften as he tried to comprehend what Athen had just said, he began to back away slowly only to find a wall. ?Your just like the rest of them Talen, weak, you cant do what needs to be done.? He paused as Talen and Angel led the group of copies into the cavern. ?That?s why we?re here, to help you.? Talen finished Athen?s sentence as he approached the original, smirking manically. ?Don?t worry, it doesn?t take long to get used to.? Talen?s copy continued forwards, the other copies stopped and continued smiling amongst themselves. Talen continued towards himself until he could see the beads of sweat rolling down the original Talen?s face. ?We?re only trying to help.? Talen feigned an innocent expression, as his hand turned to a soft, liquid texture, reminiscent of molten glass. Shankul and Ryo each grabbed one of Talen?s arms and held him flat against the wall. Talen?s copy then plunged his arm into him; slowly the rest of the copy?s body flowed into molten glass and disappeared into Talen?s chest. Ryo and Shankul released Talen?s body from their hold, he staggered forward before collapsing to the ground? -------------------------------------------- Athen jogged quickly along a ridge, his Omnilink?s map helping him find the others. Shiro, Mika and Karanlik were just below the ridgeline, about a hundred feet ahead of him. The next closest cluster of blips contained his copy, one of the Angels, and Talen, they were almost a mile to his right. The combat that Athen was approaching looked strange to say the least. Standing on the edge of a large black circle was Karanlik; he held a pair of long black poles in the air above his head. Mika and Shiro were circling each other in the centre of the circle, Shiro was on the offensive and Mika was blocking his expert attacks with equal skill. As Mika blocked one sword Shiro brought around the other, forcing Mika to twirl around and block the second deadly blade. Athen slid down the side of the ridge about twenty feet before he reached the combat, there he paused and waited for one of the combatants to respond, none of them seemed to notice him. Summoning his scythe Athen continued forward, sneaking towards Karanlik. Concentrating on maintaining the circle Karanlik didn?t notice Athen until it was almost too late. As Athen lunged forward, ready to deal Karanlik a lethal blow, he had trod on a stick, a loud snap noise followed. The cliché noise had given Karanlik just enough warning to turn around and blocked Athen?s scythe with the Agrias. The dark circle faded from the ground, the Einlizers and Mika?s trident blazed back to life, their energies flowing through the pair again? -------------------------------------------- Talen woke to the feel of cold hard cement. Pulling himself up off of the ground he looked around only to be confronted by cement walls on all sides. He felt different somehow, almost like his body wasn?t the same. ?Do you know where you are Talen?? A familiar voice seemed to echo through his head, it took him a moment to realize it was his. ?How?what?? Talen began, turning to see where the voice had come from. As he twirled the world around him changed. Now he was standing in a familiar place, a park he had lived nearby when he was younger, he remembered coming here whenever he had a problem, and it was his refuge. The park was exactly as he remembered it, save the fact that it was empty. Only two people remained in the once busy place, Talen and his double. ?Remember it Talen, do you remember why you used to come here.? His double was sitting on a bench in front of Talen. ?Y-y-yes.? Talen stammered in confusion. ?This is one of the places that has made you the way you are.? His double continued. ?It allowed you to close doors, create blockages, flee from you problems.? Talen looked at himself, knowing deep down that what he was saying was true. ?N-n-no, no it didn?t. I?m not weak.? Talen denied the facts he was being presented with. ?These blockages have stopped you from knowing who you really are. They have prevented you finding your true calling, the reason you exist.? Talen continued from the bench. ?What calling, what purpose?? Talen glared back at himself, confused. ?You haven?t done what I have done, you have no idea what I have been through.? He tried to counter the person who seemed to know him better then himself. ?You still don?t get it do you,? Talen stood from the bench and moved towards himself. ?I?m here to help you, to remove these doors, these problems that you have. Together we will discover what your purpose really is, why you have been brought to this mountain.? Talen?s world seemed to loose all it bearings and swirl aimlessly around him again. This time it stopped to reveal a stretch of road. Unlike the park people were everywhere, this place was not from Talen?s memory. He could tell it was from the past as car models several years old screamed past on either side. As he stood in the middle of the road, squinting from the glaring sun, he spotted an all too familiar car coming down the road towards them. Talen?s knees began to buckle as he saw his parents face through the windscreen. He had seen photos of the accident, he had seen pictures of his parent?s faces, and he had seen the car in a small, oil-ridden workshop. Talen collapsed to his knees. ?This is where it all starts Talen, this is where you started putting up walls.? Talen crouched down beside his quivering double. Watching the truck slid across the median strip just feet in front of them, watching his parents car slam on the breaks. Talen cried out in anguish as the front of the car began to crumple? -------------------------------------------- Talen pulled himself up out of the dirt on the cavern floor. He paused as he took in his surroundings from a different perspective. Slowly he looked around at the other?s faces, finishing with Angel?s. Smiling he stretched his neck and stepped towards Angel, caressing her face briefly before crossing the cavern. Athen and Angel was both close behind, the three paused when they reached the tunnel entrance and looked back at Ryo and Shankul. The small cement chamber whirled into a park as Talen began breaking down the original's mind ?Are you coming?? Athen sneered. The pair looked at each other quickly then hurried forward. The group continued towards the lower half of the mountain? -------------------------------------------- OOC: Did that all make sense? If not PMe and I?ll explain it all to you. Angel you might want to just heal yourself by copying the Medic Sphere?s power.

OOC: Talen and Athen both have their crystals now, along with their weapons. If anyone gets confused about this post just PMe it seems like it could be awfully hard to follow. ------------------------------------------------------ Talen glanced down at the Omnilink as Athen continued to urge him along the narrow underground passage. The pair had almost reached Shiro?s blip, unfortunately Mika?s marker was also in the same place. ?Why is it so important that we find Shiro?? Talen tried to work out Athen?s reasoning as he jogged. A feeling of dread filled his stomach as he saw a second pink blip reappear back in Mirror City; Athen hadn?t managed to kill his double after all. ?Shouldn?t we deal with our doubles first?? ?There will be time for that later.? Athen replied absently over his shoulder, he had stopped running as the pair had entered a small cavern. Roughly round in shape it was a little more than twice the width of the passage they had been following and a little less than twice the original roof?s height. ------------------------------------------------------ Talen pulled himself up off of the ground. His head was swimming and the crystal, along with the daggers, he had been carrying were gone. Looking around for the others he saw Angel standing over her shattered form, which was quickly pulling itself back together. The original just stood in shock. Unable to find Athen, Shankul, Lou or Shanga, Talen pulled out his Omnilink and took a quick glance at what blips were still there. Out of all the copies Lou was the only one to successfully kill his. Smirking Talen moved towards Angel, his partner needed some help. ------------------------------------------------------ ?Why are we stopping here?? Talen demanded of Athen. ?Shiro isn?t anywhere near here.? I have already arranged for Shiro to meet us here. ?If we get into combat with the other group of sphere holders we probably won?t survive.? ?We faired pretty well last time.? Talen continued. ?No we didn?t, they almost killed most of us when Angel went psychotic, and now most of them have their weapons.? Athen countered Talen again. ?How do you know all that?? Talen asked, now bewildered at the information that was being given to him. ?I did some scouting while I was away.? Athen finished as he slumped down by one of the walls. There was a second passage leading into the small cavern opposite the one the pair had entered it through. Talen figured the entrance must have been further down the mountain. ------------------------------------------------------ Talen crossed the shattered street as Angel?s copy pulled itself up off of the ground. She caught the real Angel by surprise and threw her through a nearby wall with a blast of fire, the front half of the copies body exploded with second degree burns and she wavered for a second. ?We must hurry, Athen has already moved to the cavern.? Talen informed Angel as they began to run out of the city. ?Does he have any of them with him?? Angel asked in reply. ?Yes he has Talen.? Talen smiled as they started to sprint. ?What are we going to do with the guardian, it was not part of the original plan.? Angel asked Talen. ?We leave it, there is no way that we can safely test its loyalties.? Talen decided on behalf of his small group. As the pair continued to run along the same route the real Talen and Athen?s copy had taken not that long ago, a third member joined them. ?He got away, and I can?t find Shanga anywhere.? Shankul informed the others as he run up alongside the group; Ryo?s copy was with him. Talen responded by lashing out with one of his daggers, removing both Shankul?s and Ryo hands at the wrist. The youths just looked down at the wound and continued running, the hand began to reform already. ------------------------------------------------------ Ryo pulled himself up out of a glassy tomb, he had some pretty serious cuts along his arms and blood was oozing thickly from his forehead. Still a little uneasy the youth looked around. The pair of dragons were still clashing overhead and most of the buildings around him had been reduced to little more than piles of broken glass as the fights had taken place. Lying in the centre of one of these glass piles was Angel, she looked pretty badly hurt. Ryo rushed over to offer his aid; discovering just how bad Angel?s wounds were when he got there? ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Vile, Okhami can you guys please post.

OOC: Sorry if I'm posting too much too often but I'm bored and have nothing better to do. -------------------------- The massive black dragon soared back into the air. Apparently a severed head was not enough to kill it. Talen figured the copies could only be killed by having more than half of their bodies severely damaged, after he had seen his double killed by Athen. Talen turned away from the city and continued to sprint down the mountain, towards Atlantis. Shankul turned away from Shanga?s fight to watch Talen leave with Athen; he turned to continue to assist his friend only to be confronted with his double. Apparently a snapped neck was not enough to kill these things. Talen ran with Athen down the rocky slope of the mountain, Mirror city had disappeared over the mountains crest and the hellish glow of lava began advancing down the mountain?s uneven slopes. Talen was having trouble breathing as ash filled the air around them. ?Hurry, this way.? Seeing that Talen was having trouble with the ash in the air Athen decided to take an underground route to Atlantis, the entrance wasn?t much further. As the pair approached the tunnel entrance Talen began to question Athen?s knowledge of the area. ?How do you know the way to Atlantis, I mean you haven?t looked at your Omnilink once.? Talen pressed. ?I studied the map while I was away, this route is a simple one to remember.? Athen replied? Athen, the real Athen, had given up trying to find another bird and had begun to walk to Shiro?s location. Not very good with maps he kept his Omnilink out constantly, slowly but steadily making progress towards Atlantis, towards Shiro and the Einlizers. Keeping his eye out for another animal, even a wolf was faster than his human form. As he continued the long trek Athen began to doubt Shiro?s intentions. He had not once seen the young man show any interest in the small group of corrupts. As he turned this thought in his head Athen spotted something even more disturbing on the Omnilink?s small, dimly lit screen. When he had flown to Mirror City Athen had seen two of all the sphere holders there, and a double of a massive black dragon, which he figured must have been the other group?s guardian animal as he had witnessed Shiro slay the last. The Omnilink confirmed everything he had seen. There were two Shankuls, two Shangas, two Angels and until recently two Talens. Most disturbing of all however was the appearance of two of him. As Athen watched the Omnilink he saw two of the small colored blips move away from Mirror City. One was Talen?s the other was his, both of them were moving towards Shiro?s blip. Realizing that when he entered the city a double of himself must have been created and was now leading Talen to some unknown fate. Maybe it wasn?t even the real Talen, the double might have succeeded and now the two were pursuing their own goals. Athen hurried his step, continuing his search for another animal more frantically now?
