1. Personally, I don't really like Naga's english voice, either. It's simply no match for Maria Kawamura and her high pitched, "HOHOHO" laugh (Why is it the japanese seem to be so good at doing those?). Even if I'm reading fanfics I use Naga's japanese voice speaking english. And in the rest of the series when Lisa does Lina's voice, it isn't so screechy and prissy. It fits Lina's personality better, I think. I made sure to get the DVD for the video's with Naga and Lina, so i can watch them subbed. And am I the only person who likes Xellos' english voice? I think it fits perfectly with the character. It's annoying. That works. And my friend pointed out to me why Gourry is so stupid. It's so there's and excuse to explain things (I had no idea whatsoever what the Kouma Sensou (sp?) was before that  ) Whoa...I think that's the longest post I've ever made here...go me ^_^
2. Personally, I think Slayers is great both subbed and dubbed. And, Queen Asuka, I know the animation isn't exactly great in the first season. It's better in Next and Try, and the dubbing is more in sync (in my opinion, anyways) My favorite character is (obviously) Xellos. I thought the crossdressing episode in Next was hilarious! It was so funny when
Miwan turned out to be a guy.
I also have to agree about the Dragon Cuisine episode. The picture in the locket at the end is funny. Ahh, good times. I don't like Slayers:The Motion Picture in english though, there the dubbing WAS horrible. Cyntia Martinez should never be allowed to do Lina again. She made Lina to ditzy. I'll take Megumi-san or Lisa Ortiz over her any day.
3.
Originally posted by Stick Fairy I also love just about any Slayers theme song. Then again, maybe it´s just me...
Ohh, it's not just you ^_^ I love all of them! If I absolutly had to choose (and that is one hard choice for me) I would have to choose Give a Reason (Slayers Next) as the best.
4. I agree with you on the FF7 thing. I think it's the best FF so far (sure the graphics aren't great, but the actual game more than makes up for it) I do like FFX (though the Sphere Trials have to be the most annoying thing ever put into a game), but I don't think it quite lives up the the previouse FF's
5. Best: Slayers (all 3 seasons) A lot of people seem to hate David Moo for doing Xellos' voice, but I think it fits perfectly. It's kinda annoying, but that fits Xellos' Personality. Princess Mononoke InuYasha (except Kagome. Too whiny) Worst: Slayers: The Motion Picture (and probably Slayers Return, when they release it in english) Cyntia Martinez is a HORRIBLE Lina. Her voice is just to ditzy for her. Use Lisa Ortiz! Or leave it in Japanese, and bring it in subbed. Either one is good. Sailor Moon
6. I don't really have problems with telling the difference, usually. Though I wasn't completely sure if Shippo was a boy or girl at first. I guess if you watch anime often enough you know how to tell the minor differences more easily.
7. It's one of my favorites. The artwork is nice, the music is nice, and it's just an all around good show. Though I have to agree with Artemis about Parns voice being annoying (though I wouldn't put it in quite the same words) It's one of the few good anime's you can get where I live.
8. For me, it would have to be about 2 weeks. That's when i found out I get slightly...uhh...cranky when I don't get to watch/read any of my favorite anime/manga. Luckly, there is almost always something on I can watch if I'm getting desperate. Aahh, the wonders of a TV
9. Not extremists? Talk about hypocritical. If you don't want your kids watching shows like FLCL, don't let them stay up late. Simple solution, ne? They have the warnings, they have it on late, so if they're kids are watching it and they don't like it, I think it's then technically THEIR fault for letting them stay up that late. With the way things seem to be going, they're gonna be suing Scooby Doo over something pretty soon.
10. Mine would have to be: Give a Reason by Megumi hayashibara- The opening theme for Slayers Next. Personally, I think it's one of megumi-san's best songs to date. It's got a great beat, and she does an amazing job singing the song. Kagirinai Yokubou no Nakani, yet again by Megumi-The Slayers Special ending theme My Will by Dream-The first ending theme from Inuyasha
11. Ok, I can understand DBZ being considered violent, but Yu-Gi-Oh? I think anyone old enough to become "violent" from that show can tell that they aren't able to use giant monster things. And Pokemon? I'm pretty sure they'll soon discover that they can't get a Charizard to get rid of the school bully. If parents don't want they're kids to watch these shows, then don't let them! Have them watch Caillou or something.

Anime Pride

For me it kinda depends on the situation. If I'm in school, it's manga all the way. I can't really come to class with a TV and VCR, but I can always take my manga out. Other times, I like to listen to the music and the voices, and watch the animation instead. My mood also plays a little part in it, I guess.
13. I liked the Lina vs. Shabranigdo fight scene in the first Slayers season. But, I tend to like fight scenes with a lot of funky looking spells and so on ^_^
14. Anime isn't big here, but most people will know what anime is if you ask them. I do get called a geek, nerd, etc. because I like anime, but I would probably get that even if I didn't
15. The highschool here almost had an anime class (I'm guessing it would have been like an art class, but I'm not sure), but they decided in the end not that many people would sign up for the class. When my friend told me that I could have just sat down and cried. (well, not quite, but pretty close)
