Outselling the Xbox in Japan isn't really something to gloat about. The xbox sold around 12,000 units in 2005. PS3 and Revolution will outsell the original Xbox in 24 hours.

The only thing about school that keeps me from going insane is the people. A normal day for one of my teachers is to show up late and play solitaire for an hour. It's really fun to teach a teacher something (Thanks to me, my sixth grade Social Studies teacher knows that many of the names on his map are countries and not mountain ranges). Stupid teachers are fun.

I'll reiterate what has been said in previous threads of this nature: Clean does not equal kiddy. If you think just because a game doesn't have blood in it, you can't have any fun, you really need to get over yourself. Plus, to call an entire company kiddy (especially one that secured the best versions of 6 survival horror games) is, well, kiddy. On the controller issue, Nintendo has realized what people want (and what they will want). Microsoft's and Sony's respective next gen controllers were made wireless because nintendo made theirs wireless. Sony created the Dualshock in response to Nintendo's analog stick and rumble pack. The button layout and D=pad on the Playstation, Playstation 2, PSP, and XBOX were modeled after the SNES controller. To believe that they are wrong with this controller would go against a 22 year history of doing everything right first. I'm sure the gyroscopes and pointers in the PS4 and next XBOX will be great...

Condemned was a launch title. On COD:2, though the campain is short, the AI is amazing. Amazing enough to play through it multiple times and still have fun. On 360 it really has everything over the PC version(having played both) except multiplayer, but Perfect Dark is the game for FPS multiplayer on 360 (in the same way a PC gamer should get CS or UT:04). I'd consider the single player very similar to multiplayer in the sense that the AI has so little scripting. Open levels feel like you are playing with 50 real people. If and when I get a 360 I'll get COD2 for it, but for now it runs fine in mid to low res on my PC.

Here's what I would get: 1. Call of Duty 2 2. Condemned: Criminal Origins 3. Perfect Dark Zero 4. Dead or Alive 4 5. Need for Speed: MW I'd say Call of Duty is really the only game on this list that I would stress that you go to several stores if you can't find a copy. It's amazing.

I'd say Meg hit the nail on the head. Many people will come here and scream "It's wrong!!!" but they really need to look at the big picture: If it doesn't hurt anyone, why is it bad?

I found god of war boring. The graphics were amazing, but nothing felt satisfying. After a few hours, I turned my PS2 off and sent it back to Gamefly. I felt no emotions while playing it.

If you like action and are on a budget, I would suggest Burnout 3 (PS2+XBOX) and either Otogi game for XBOX. Burnout 3 is one of the most exciting games I have played, ever, and Otogi is just plain satisfying. If you don't like the gameplay in Katamari Damacy you either A:Have some deep personality issues that make you believe that your games have to be cool OR B: Have a five second attention span. I've never been so satified as when I first rolled up a sumo wrestler.

I don't want one right now, but a word of advice: [I]Never, under any circumstances, buy the core package.[/I] It is simply a waste of your time. Core+ 64mb Memory Card=$340. Premium with wireless controller, remote, 20 GB HD, Headset, and HD cables=$400. On a side note, even if you get the premium, the prices are gouged around the board. $39.99 for a wired controller is crazy.

I'd agree with the fact that the 360 really isn't that great or impressive (especially without an HDTV). The thing that is impressive is certain games doing exactly what needs to happen in this next generation: Advanced Artificial Intelligence. Namely, Call Of Duty 2. I am totally blown away by this game. Having enemies that fight like you do, with well placed grenades and ambushes as you retreat is what we need. We need to feel like we are fighting [B]REAL PEOPLE[/B], not difficulty wise, but style-wise. Enemies that don't have better guns but better strategy, to the point that you feel yourself seeing that enemy as a real person.

You should get webcams. Not the same as being in the same room, but a lot better than just text.

Answer lots of reader mail in each issue. Try to do at least a page per week (i.e. a monthly will do well with four [B]FULL[/B] pages). It helps a lot. If you do video games, fill a few (3-5) pages with simple, quick classic reviews. Review Notable games like pong and space invaders.

Even though I don't play a lot of RPGs, my favorite game ever has to be Dragon Warrior Monsters. I have put no less than 1000 hours into four files across two cartridges. The breeding system was flawless, and while there were definately monsters that were weaker than others, no one was really overpowered. I could use 3 relatively common monsters to defeat just about anything with smart breeding and training. I can't wait for the new one on DS. No more worrying about the battery dying!
