Well that's a hard one. I'm obsessed with anime and all... As of this moment, I'd have to say I'd have to put the names of a few different anime titles in a hat and just pick one. I'd love to live in Fruit's Basket, Inu Yasha, Ranma 1/2 or Ruroni Kenshin I'm really obsessed with those anime in particular, but almost any anime would be fine for me... If you read my sig, then you'd know that I worship the Almighty Roq and when she rules the world, she will force all the great scientists in the world to create a way for normal humans to go into the anime (parallel) universe and then I can go around glomping Fluffy, Kyo and P-chan and a few other wonderful char's *sigh* Ahh...I can't wait!! Obey Teh Cheese!! *waves flag for the Amaroquian nation to be*

Unfortuneately, there are people out here who will beat their children and abuse them physically and mentally just because the abusers have an infiriority complex and have to make other people feel bad to make themselves feel good about themseves and to make themselves feel important. I feel bad for your friend. She probably felt like it was all her fault and that if she were to ask for help in some way, she would only make things worse, which is probably true, if her father found out. If she'd gone to the police or school first, and showed them what he'd been doing to her, he would have been thrown in jail immediately for beating her. I don't think she had thecourage to admit to anyone, especially herself, that she was in this sort of situation. She probably couldn't deal with the situation mentally as long as she did, if she had admitted to others that she needed help. Unfortuneately many abusee's feel this way and they only end up making the problems that befall them worse because of this. I send my best wishes and prayers to your friend, so that she might find the strength in herself to stand up for herself and for her to find courage enough for her to fight back in whichever way she can and I send good energy her way to heal her wounds.

Well my first job was kinda fun... I was a 'people pointer', If you haven't heard of them, you've probably seen them... They're the people who stand on a street corner waving a sign for open houses, fast food joints and so on...It was really fun... Accept for the 105ยบ weather we experianced... or the really cold windy/rainy days, where you had to use the sign to cover yourself when no cars were coming to keep yourself dry. (Even though I was already wearing a pancho) I loved my job, I worked all through the summer, autumn, winter, spring and 1/2 way through the next summer... I got to stand on my street corner with my sign, my music (jpop of coarse) and I got to dance my feet off for 4 hours (- two 15minute breaks). It was fun... If you've ever seen me dance or heard me sing, you should be glad that most of the time the cars were going relatively fast...lol... Anyway, most of the time I was standing out on a street corner near a golf corse (it was part of the housing development)... I'm sooo lucky the golfers didn't hate my dancing and singing too much.. I don't want to be pelted with golf balls everytime I drive past that place...lol...Welp, yeah... That was my first job...It was fun... (I'm thinking of going back...lol)

OOC: LMAO!! ^_^...I love the 'Feathered Freak' thing... I swear you have some great lines sometimes...:D IC: Shi-su hurried to grab her weapons and a few provisions, with Kyu behind her all the way trying to stop her from being too rash. Shi-su wheeled around on him, "Kyu, do you really think I'm going to let my friend go through gods know what and sit here in comfort and pleasurable company while I 'heal'!? I'm healthy enough to run around here, thus I am healthy enough to run around out there. And don't you try to stop me, I'll make sure that you'll be the one needing to be under that tree!" Shi-su pointed for emphasis as she sighed heavily and turned to the healers and spoke with fondness and warmth in her voice as she thanked Ka'lir Linfsao, her mentor and lead healer. Using her impeccable Elvish, Shi-su conveyed more than simple thanks in relatively few words. She embraced Ka'lir warmly and bid him farewell and turned to Kyu. "Grab your things, we need to go...Or do you want to wait here for some form of blessings?" Shi-su sneered, obviously still angry with him for thinking she'd just sit around while her friend was in danger. 'I knew Ayumi was hiding something...I also know that it was for a good reason...Whatever Ayumi might have done, I know that she's different now... I can and will forgive her for her mistakes and pray that she will resist any temptation that might lead her back to her life of theivery.' Shi-su thought as she stood at the gates, waiting for Kyu to finish gathering whatever he needed.

Shi-su passed out before she'd heard about Ayumi's little secret. She had no clue what was going on, she was deep in a black sea of sleep and was coming close to losing her battle to stay afloat. The weight change on the branch, when Ayumi disappeared with Kyu's twin made the unconcious Shi-su lose her balance and fall to the ground, 15 feet below. Her fall was softened by a dead demon. Kyu was having a difficult time dealing with the arrival of his sister, the news about Ayumi and horrible memories of his past beloved to notice right away, but when there was a loud snapping sound when Shi-su landed on the demon and broke a few of his ribs, Kyu flew down to check on her. She was still out, but breathing. Kyu picked Shi-su up and flew her to thw Elves, there the Elves took her to a room near a large white tree with silver and gold leaves. Kyu walked in the gardens with a few of his kin, discussing the new developements with his sister. In his mind, however, a single song kept playing over and over. 'Yesterday,' by a band from before the end of the old days with the old magic. Try as he might, Kyu couldn't get the song or the memories out of his mind. (OOC: I'm sorry if I kinda hijacked your char and all... I think it worked ok... If not then just ignore most of my post and go on... The whole 'Yesterday' thing just kinda happened... I'm listening to the Beatles right now and the song seemed to fit...Anyway... Just yell at me if you have a problem with my post and I'll try not to do it again.)

Shi-su didn't want to tell Ayumi about the bad feeling she felt by just looking at the Kyu look-alike. The pain in her wounds hurt worse than ever, but the herb would help stop the poison from spreading. Shi-su took a deep breath and raised her voice a bit. "Kyu, will ya hurry up?! We kind of need to hurry up and get to the Elves!" She paused for a breath and leaned her head back. It was getting harder for her to stay awake or do anything. She sighed and closed her eyes. Soon she was falling into a black dreamless sleep. She'd need to see the Elves soon, or she wouldn't be around much longer.

OOC: Wow you're such a smart ass at times!! Anyway.. Quite an interesting plot twist. IC: Shi-su tried to focus her attention on keeping the plants from attacking Ayumi. Being a mixture of an elf and a sprite, she had a close connection with the forest and everything good in it. The forest would do as any good elf, sprite or fairy asked as long as no harm, or very little harm came to the forest life itself. The whipping of the tree branches and vines lessened in intensity, but Shi-su didn't have the strength to make it stop completely. Having her mind focused on one task helped her to stay awake, but the effort was great and it would eventually take it's toll. "Ayumi, I need you to get my medicine pouch..." Shi-su stopped to take a breath and fought to keep the forest from attacking the girl. "There's a small pouch in there, it's light green with four knots close to gether and three more a little farther down on the rope..."She paused for another breath. "Get it out and sprinkle the herb thats inside it in my wounds." Shi-su was now perspiring from the effort of talking and concentrating on the forest. She'd soon be unconcious and of no help to anyone.

OOC: I can tell you're starting to have fun with this thread... I think it's great.. All your little side comments and all..I find it all quite amusing. IC: Shi-su gripped Ayumi's arm and pulled herself up, hiding the pain she felt in her shoulders and arms. The pain had spread and Shi-su feared the blades were doused in poison. 'What a time to get injured.' Shi-su thought as she tried to keep her balance on the limbs with everyone bouncing on them. "Ayumi, mind the trees and plants. Kyu has managed to get them to help him and they might try to grab you. Don't fight back if they try to grab you!" Shi-su said urgently, leaning against the trunk of her tree. Her arms didn't seem to want to work and she needed to get to her medicine pouch to counter the poison that she knew was actually there. The poison was taking effect, her vision was starting to blur and the strength seemed to be leaving her. Shi-su panted a little and tried to stay awake. It was getting harder to keep her eyes open, her legs gave out and she sank to a sitting position on the branch.

OOC: I agree with the funnieness of the birdboy comment... I'm ignoring the sushi thing. IC: Shi-su shook her head and sighed. The girl was very stubborn. 'Why'd she have to be like this... She might get hurt.' Shi-su kept fighting with all her strength. She didn't have to think about the whole Magic of the Heart thing at the moment, she was a good enough fighter without it. Shi-su grunted as she was thrown into the side of a tree with increadable force by one of the Hulks. "What's with you bub?" Shi-su mumbled under her breath as she pulled out Shinjite and lobbed off one of it's arms easily. "It's not nice to throw people around." Shi-su yelled as she managed to take off a few more limbs before decapitating the ugly thing. One of the demons had snuck up behind her and just as Shi-su turned, it struck. Shi-su felt a blinding pain in her arm and shoulders and she let out an odd cry of surprise and pain. She fell to her knees for a moment before her mind cleared and pain started to receed. "Help..." Shi-su called quietly as she struggled to stand.

Shi-su was sure they should have been at the Elve's sanctuary in the middle of the woods before then. No one had said anything, Kyu would have if they'd been going in the wrong direction. Shi-su sighed heavily. She was worried as much about Ryu as Ayumi was. He'd been injured by the Umber Hulk and there might have been an infection or poison on the claws. The three kept walking along the branches, bored and thinking of nothing interesting to say. Shi-su sighed again. "I hate to say it, but I'm bored. If something interesting doesn't happen soon, I'm gonna go looking for trouble." She'd barely finished saying this before a giant Umber Hulk with two demons broke through the branches. "EEP!! I spoke to soon." Shi-su said as she pulled out Chansu and took off one of the demon's arms.

Shisu heard the screams of the innocent villagers who were so willing to help her in the first place. 'Damn them!!' Shisu ran out of the burning hut, glowing with a gold light and she smiled evilly. Shisu's hands started glowing a light green and she stepped closer to the two. "Stop this at once!" Keith laughed mirthlessly and Merin took Keith's sword and prepared to lunge at Shisu. "Not a good idea." Shisu said as she dodged Merin easily, smaking her in the back of the head, knocking the girl out. The green glowing light from her hands turned Merin back into Chi. Shisu turned to Keith and slipped into a fighting stance, she didn't know how this was happening. Shisu wasn't naturally a fighter, she didn't even know how to fight. The angelic side of her ancestry was taking over and making her fright for what was right. She was going to make Keith pay. "Come on...I'm ready for ya."

OOC: Sorry I was gone for so long. I'll actually post on Wed, but I've been grounded for a week and I'll finally be able to use the net on Wed...Again, I'm sorry for holding up the thread like this...Sara.

After a short while of walking, Shi-su thought of the Elves. "What about the Elves? They could give us shelter for a day or so...We need to rest a little, besides we need to come up with some kind of plan. We can't do things on the spur of the moment, and for anything we do, we'll need information about the demon/hulk issue." Shi-su said as she helped steady Ayumi on the branches. "Alright." The Ayumi and Kyu said simutanously, though Shi-su suspected Kyu's reason, was just a yearning for going home. Ayumi was trying to put on a brave front, but Shi-su suspected that Ayumi was starting to feel strained. Worry over Ryu, her own injuries and lack of sleep all combined to work against even the strongest of people. Shi-su pulled out a tiny silver brooch and attatched it to Ayumi's bag. "I think this would go perfectly with your other things. It's just like you, delecate, yet strong." The brooch was silver and bronze, in the shape of a fairy with a water lily wrapped around one leg until the fairy's hip. It was a sign of Shi-su's father. She knew it was precious to her, but Ayumi needed something to help her along. She didn't see the look on Kyu's face as they walked, but his face held a sort of recognition.

Shisu woke with a start from her sleep. She'd dreamed of Raven and smoke. Shisu coughed and looked around. There was smoke filling the cave she was in, she was far enough in the cave to not have to worry about the fire, but the smoke would kill her if she didn't get out. Shisu jumped out of the little niche she'd been sleeping in and made the small glowing orb in her hands again. She ran with a part of her skarf covering her face, the smoke was getting thicker, but she had a feeling if she kept running in the same direction, then she'd make it out alright. There was a light off in the distance and Shisu quickened her pace to get there. The cave opened out to a small town on the far side of a grassy meadow. Fire was creeping quickly through the forest and if she didn't hurry, she wouldn't be able to make it across the meadow in time. Shisu cancled her spell on the glowing orb and ran with unbeliveable speed across the meadow to the town. "I need help!" Shisu said urgently to an older woman who was sweeping dirt from her house. She looked up and saw Shisu's angelic side starting to shine through, the old woman nodded and hid Shisu in her cellar.

Shi-su helped Ayumi along the branches and when they got to the trunk of a sturdy tree she helped the girl sit. "We need to rest for a few minutes...You look tired...Are you alright? Is your arm hurting you?" Shi-su asked as she reached for her medicine pouch. Ayumi stopped her, "I'm feeling fine. My arm hardly hurts, you've been doing a good job." The girl smiled and looked earnestly at Shi-su. Shi-su could feel Ayumi relaxing a little around her, and sensed the girl's need for friendship and trust. Shi-su smiled back warmly and took a sip from her water bag and offered Ayumi some. As Ayumi was sipping from the cantine, Kyu flew by. He didn't slow down and Shi-su stood, "Wait here. I'm going to get him." Shi-su stood and ran quickly and lightly along the branches until she was close enough to Kyu to speak to him without being over heard by the demons below. "Kyu, you've gone too far! Turn back and fly for 2 minutes or so, slowly and you should find Ayumi, I'll be with her too." Shi-su said as Kyu slowed and looked at her, she ran back in the direction she'd come from and knew he'd follow. She was glad he'd been able to make it back to travel the rest of the way with them, though she suspected they'd gone farther than half way. Kyu came up behind her as she was nearing the tree Ayumi was in. "Is Ryu alright?" Shi-su asked when Ayumi was in earshot.

Shisu swam with the current down stream as fast as she could. She didn't like being hunted like an animal, but there was nothing she could do. Finally she could swim no more and made her way to shore. She layed there for a few minutes to catch her breath. She got up and hurried through the brush of the trees and found a cave entrance hidden behind some bushes. 'I'll hide in there for a while.' Shisu thought as she chanted a spell and in her hands a ball the size of a golf ball began to glow. She walked in and found that the cave was very deep, she followed it back, farther and farther until she came to a three way split in the cave. Shisu made a small pile of rocks at the entrance of the left off shoot and continued down the middle one. Eventually Shisu crawled into a small niche in the wall and slept after canceling her spell.
-
Shisu heard what sounded like Raven's voice and she turned to run after her. Shisu came upon the scene before she could stop Raven from vanishing. 'No!' Shisu thought as she ran forward. "RAVEN!!" Shisu cried and ran to where Raven used to be. The man looked at her with an evil grin. "Too late." He chuckled. "Where is she?" Shisu asked, not trusting the man too much. "Maybe I'll tell you, maybe not." The man gave a sly smile and stepped closer. Shisu stepped back and bumped against a gril. With a sudden realization, Shisu realized that the gril they'd talked to earlier, Chi, was now as evil as the dark Keith. 'Oh no.' Shisu thought.
-
Shi-su watched as they flew away and sighed. They were gonna be in for it if Kyu didn't get back or they didn't meet him soon, two just weren't enough. Shi-su turned and woke up Ayumi. "Get up and grab your things, we need to go now. We'll be up in the tree branches to stay hidden, so leave anything you don't need." Shi-su whispered and helped Ayumi pack everything she needed, it turned out that Ayumi always packed light and there was very little left behind. Shi-su helped Ayumi into the trees and Shi-su led the way towards the Elves. "Were are we going and where's Kyu and Ryu?" Ayumi asked as Shi-su helped her balance on the boughs and tried to hurry along. "Kyu has taken Ryu to the Elves because I cannot tend to him properly until we're out of danger. By that time, Ryu would have been beyond help. We are going to meet them with the Elves. Hopefully, Kyu will meet us half way and help us along. This is partly why we've left before sun-up. Under the cover of semi-darkness we can move relatively unnoticed by the Hulks and demons. The two of us can't fight them alone." Shi-su explained as they tried to hurry along the branches.
-
Shi-su heard her friends talking beneath her and listened carefully to the talk about the Magic of the Heart conversation. She had a feeling that it would be different for each person, but she still wanted to hear, and to figure out if Ayume did have Magic of the Heart. As the night wore on, Shi-su's energy came back and she climbed down the tree near morning. Kyu was awake and standing watch. "I've got it from here. Take a rest for a while." Shi-su said quietly as she leaned against the tree. Kyu didn't move for a moment and just stared at her, then he walked into their little shelter and sat in the shadows.
-
Shisu heard the multiple Keith's conversation with her telepathic powers and felt the evil of the two people they'd met earlier. "This isn't good!" Shisu said as she grabbed Raven's hand and pulled her back along the way they'd came. She had a feeling that Keith and Chi would be after them. "Raven, be as quiet as you possibly can." Shisu said as she shoved Raven into the hollow of a tree hidden by shrubs. 'I need to get away from here and keep her safe!' Shisu thought as she ran as fast as she could. She could feel an odd sense of goodness that she'd never felt, running through her, what she didn't know was that her angelic side was taking over to help her fight this new evil.
-
Shisu didn't mean to hurt Raven's wrist, but she had a feeling of impending desaster. Something bad was going to happen if she didn't try to help. Shisu didn't want to leave Raven alone in her charred, forest cabin. They ran quickly through the forest and towards the source of her uneasieness. They neared two people walking along a mountain pass and Shisu slowed and released Raven's wrist. 'The male...There's something off about him, he's the reason why I feel so disparing!' "Who are they?" Raven whispered, Shisu shrugged. "I don't know. But I think we should find out." Shisu and Raven walked towards the two people. "Hello there!" Shisu called and the two turned around.
