1. Enter the Net was one of (if not the) earliest OtakuBoards fan fictions, written by renowned furry Solo Tremaine. It chronicled the trivial adventures of OB members in a virtual OB world as they went about a life filled with danger, intrigue, and Junior High-esque moments, battling n00bs and exploring and stuff. Needless to say, it was pretty awesome, and everyone wanted in on that. Cameos by members not related to the plot were in the high 30s, and being included in Enter the Net in even a cameo role was (and still is, among some) a badge of honour. Having two entire chapters revolving around yourself, like that handsome DeadSeraphim guy, was like ascending to Godhood. Enter the Net was that influential. Unfortunately, influence is a double edged sword, and it soon spawned dozens of half-baked OB fan fictions by people who either liked the original concept enough to emulate it, or wanted to one up it. These ranged from serious and gritty, to silly and forgettable. To date, few OB fan fictions have been as good as the original.

 3. But seriously, you're 16. Some people don't date till they're in their 20s. Dating some random girl should be the least of your worries right now (education is a good one to focus on instead, failing that: videogames).
 4.
The Harlequin and Raiha, as well as Mitch and Poisontongue seem to be notable members too. Perhaps Nomad as well? And the N00b-Hunter[/b'] series could deserve a mention too.
How about no. Better to let n00b Hunter disappear into the sands of time than hold it up as any kind of achievement.
 5.
Mm, I don't think it'd be so terrible. Unless you're talking about the vicious social aspect of it, in which case I'd agree--but only for middle school and maybe the beginning of high school.
You know in my first hand painful experience, that viscious social aspect extends far beyond the beginning of highschool. I can't see it getting any better in an all girl environment, where **** like that is allowed to foster and grow in its own scary bubble without outside influences.

 7.
That's a rather pretentious point of view -- the problem is that the people who said "no" only did so because they're horny teens? Of course it couldn't[/i'] be that we had actual objections to the idea, that would be silly. :p
Keep your logic out of this, boy!
 8.
Well, since I copied and pasted your code into a new HTML page and it worked fine that way, I'm thinking that the layout isn't working on myOtaku because part of the original layout is interfering. Usually, setting all the elements of the original myOtaku layout to display:none should keep that from happening, so it seems like something was missed. And since the tborder class is applied to myOtaku's main layout table (on line 74), as well as tr tags, I thought that could be what was interfering. I'll play around with the code and see if I can find out what's causing the problem.
It's not working cause their code is inside the .trborder classes, and thus affected by the display:none. Remember your code hierarchies, Des.
 9.
I'm happy to put a design and layout together...we will keep it really simple, but I'll need someone to update it. Desbreko's probably the first choice, because he knows the code and he can have access to our server to make updates as required.
you could just install some wiki software, like Mediawiki. That way it only takes one install, and Charles can keep editting without relying on someone else, all the while keeping the software closed to new registrations and users.
 10. Group Sounds Group Sounds is where all the cool kids hang out. It's Generic NPC #3's forum, and is made up in large part of OB's best and brightest trolls, with the occasional well-meaning member and Dragon Warrior (oh, burn!). It's had two version, the first quickly being destroyed and overrun once people realised it was entirely possible and within their power to post stupid news articles from Fark (plus, you know, the violent xenophobia that had developed), and the current forum, a more mature attempt that gets some really good videogame discussion going, and enjoys a lot more relaxed environment. This can probably be traced directly to the abscence of some key members who brought about the collapse of version 1 (you know who you are), but the lack of games and competitiveness probably helps too. Yeah. Both sites have been predominantly orange, and thus awesome; though stupid arguing about the controls in Twilight Princess by Papa Smurf - the very same that ended in banning right here - threaten that awesome. Luckily, unlike OB, no one at Group Sounds takes Papa Smurf seriously, and the threat remains just that - a threat. Generic NPC #3 Generic NPC #3 is a slave to OtakuBoards. He consistently claims he doesn't enjoy the place, yet follows up these wild accusations with posts in Play It that show a whole lot of forethought for someone who isn't having the time of their life. He originally came to OB as Gr3ymalkin at the urging of James, and went on to make an amazing 24 posts before getting bored and leaving again. However, OB had already started to cast it's evil magic on him, and he eventually returned - this time as Semjaza Azazel. As Semjaza, GNPC#3 quickly rose through the ranks of mod-dom, first as a mod of the long-dead 'Mario' forum, then 'GameCube/GameBoy', before finally finding himself the SuperMod of the 'Otaku Gamer' section in its entirety (this could probably be all put down to black magic, as he is a known listener of Marilyn Manson and this therefore makes him a warlock). Here he stayed, wandering over the entire site like a dry-humoured (possibly chromosome) cowboy, casting everyone under his thrall. When v7 dragged itself painfully around the corner of progress, he was still the all-powerful figure of authority he had always been, this time ruling over v7's version of Otaku Gamer, 'Hardwired'. This proved too much for him however, and in 2004 he resigned, saying it felt too much like a job and some other things to the effect of "I liked it better in the old days". He stuck around for a while, then disappeared entirely, as is his habit. This wasn't the last we would see of him, however. Every so often he would reappear, making posts that thoroughly pwned whoever was the target of his attack, until finally he made a triumphant, low-key return as who we now now as Generic NPC #3. As GNPC#3 he posts mainly in Play It and occasionally in other forums when the mood takes him, all the while quietly plugging his own forum, Group Sounds (which is where ALL the cool kids go - all of them, every last one). He still doesn't find OB enjoyable, but that's okay, cause he still posts anyway. You know, because he just hates the place so much.
 11.
Owned. *PS turns red and then vanishes in a transparent haze with a weird sound.* Anyway. Right, I'm not sure if I'm going to ask for a Wii for Christmas, however I'd definitely like to play Zelda. The only problem is that I'm not sure if I should wait 'til I get a Wii, or just request the Gamecube version. For any of you who've played it, and I'm assuming the responses will be from a Wii perspective, could you try and tell me if the GC game's worth getting? I understand that the Wiimote is incredibly different to a standard controller, but do you feel the system will 'convert' just as well onto the Gamecube? Much obliged.
It was designed for GCN first, then had Wii-related changes. It'll play just like TWW, dude.
 12.
I don't get it... why don't you just post this up on Wikipedia?
It'd be deleted on Wikipedia, dude.
 13. Did they get their name from the sound of their monotonous power chords?
 14. Me? I'm touched, but I only troll Sandy and Retribution. It's pretty much a non-issue, people ***** about this kind of **** all the time. It comes up every couple of years, and the atheists bands together and make a lot of noise, but then nothing ever comes of it, because everyone else is too busy with the real world. Also, I'm pretty sure Los Angeles wouldn't have to be changed, dude, angels aren't a distinctly Christian concept (not to mention Christian/Mormon/whatever places names don't offend anyone anyway).
 15.
[img']http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/smurfs-picture-village.jpg[/img]
You're the smurfiest smurf I ever did smurf!
 16. Because at Christmas you don't have to pay for it yourself. Duh.
 17. In a server farm in Massachusetts, there is a box. It's about, say, 12 inches wide, about an inch tall, and covered in black plastic. Out of its back stream wires and cables, connecting it to the rest of the server farm, and in turn in the internet. Inside that box, is Velegant, and in a tiny corner of that box - is OB. OB looks like a million other websites, just data on a disk in a server in a server farm.
 18.
I'm with DeadSeraphim on this one. Way to ruin the fun. Speaking of the devil: They can try. I'm pretty sure you're going to have to come after me yourself before that'll happen.
Infinite hordes of evil. Let me run that by you again: infinite hordes of evil. They don't try, they do. No shape shifter with an ego complex is going to stop them.
 19.
Seeing as zombies aren't real, I figure that any sort of contingency plan for such an event is pointless.
Spoil-sport.
Heck, though, I'm an allamorph. I'm only half human; I'm skilled with all melee weapons; I'm incredibly agile, fast, strong, and have a high endurance; my demon-form (still haven't found a name for it) makes those kids on Bloody Roar: Primal Fury[/I'] look like Care Bears ? what the devil am I hiding for? I'll just hang out with all these other vigilantes here and shred me some zombie flesh..
Until my legions inevitably destroy you in a flurry of blades and blood, of course.
 20. I will hide in the hollowed out corpse of a bear, cradling my shotgun and my few remaining shells as I slowly descend into madness. When the zombies find me - and they will - I will kill as many as possible before being finally and viciously taken down by the ravenous horde. Then, when I reach whatever evil destination my soul is destined to go, I will topple the master of that dark place and take my place on his throne, commanding my infinite hordes of evil to pillage and destroy as I tear apart the very fabric between worlds. When I am done, when the world is naught but twisted spires and mountains of rotting flesh, mark my words - you will wish there was still zombies.
 21.
Well, I guess what I really want most for Christmas is the PS3 and the reamake of FF VII. Seeing as how I'm a PS girl all the way, those two gifts alone will just about rock my socks.[/SIZE']
Hate to burst your bubble, but Square Enix have consistently denied that they're making a remake. I think the closest you can expect is to be able to buy and download the game online from Sony's online store, but you're not gonna see Cloud all bishi-ed up on the World Map anytime soon.
 22. I hope it's like when the 360 launched, and people started auctioning just the boxes. That would be hilarious and awesome.
 23.
Everything is so complicated and hard now... But I really don't understand why dating someone could change friendships with other people...
People are weird. If they don't like your bf/gf, they sometimes just avoid talking about it, or being around him. Worse, if they liked you or your bf/gf, then they can get major jealousy things going on, which can affect them even if they don't realise it and they think they're acting normal. It's all complicated, all annoying, and all part of being in a relationship. Enjoy it while it lasts, lol.
 24.
Sandy wouldn't have gotten half the criticism he did if he hadn't reacted so defensively.[/FONT']
Truedat. Besides, I have no problems with the PMs, I just think Sandy hurt his own chances by being so mysterious about everything. Also, the RPG thing goes for everyone, including you, White (though you're is doing a better job of making his RPG community accessible than anyone else, so far). I don't hate Sandy, or have a vendetta against him, he'd just like to think so.
 25. They've just not been made. Feel free to whip up a batch, yo.
