1.
I love cottage cheese. I eat it with meals, I eat it as a meal. It really is very tasty. When you think of it's origins, it is rather unappealing. However, the taste and strange texture of this wonderous dairy product more than make up for the thoughts haters try and install in you head of it being spoiled.[/FONT']
Will you marry me?
 2. It's funny that most of the people who are objecting are people who are serially in RPs that die prematurely. Is there a correlation? I (very) rarely RP, and my last two RPs were both Shy's. In Legionnaire's I became disinterested and left because of the large gaps between posts in the other teams (if I recall, when I headed Gold Team we were comparitively brisk), with Vignette, though it encouraged large posts it led to gaps (well, one massive gap) between posts that killed if off. It seems any high profile RP is doomed to failure because of the expectation for long, quality posts. Of course, it shouldn't matter though. If people were as amazing at RPs as they claim, they should be able to say what they want in 400, or 500 words easily. Maybe all the instant negative feedback is less real opposition and more insecurity. Just a thought. Anyway, I totally avoided the point for like 154 words there. I would support something like this in an RP - if the story moved along faster as a result, I'd keep interest, and it would be better all round.
 3. What do you think of cottage cheese? Do you hate it? Do you love it? Does it make you relive unfortunate memories of obese women in bikinis? Or are you one of those weirdos who's never heard of it (if so: EDUCATE YOURSELF)? Regardless which category you fall under, this is the thread for you. Personally, I love cottage cheese. It's cool and creamy, and has just enough tang to remind you of cheese but at the same time make you forget you're eating spoiled milk. I eat it on bread, biscuits, or (heaven forbid) by itself. In fact, along with raw mushrooms, I could safely make the claim that cottage cheese is actually a blessing from God made material. One day he was just sitting around up there, eating his cottage cheese, and he figured, "Man, my peeps have to get in on this too", and it was done (for the non-believers out there, there's your proof of God, now go read a Bible). Having said that, there is such a thing as bad cottage cheese. Typically it comes in a faceless container, and costs little to no cents. When opened, you do not see true cottage cheese, oh no, you are instead greeted by what is obviously concentrated and pure evil. More often than not it is less like cottage cheese and more like a block of particularly porous, white jelly. It has no taste, and can not be made better under any circumstances. Often it masquerades as '99% fat free'. Do not believe the packaging under any circumstances - it's in fact '99% taste free', and man... it shows. In conclusion, avoid bad cottage cheese.
 4.
Guys, let's remember that this thread is about hypothetical perfection, not stringent requirements a person needs to fulfill in order to be an eligible candidate for dating. If you've already had sex, does that make you less of a perfect guy? In the eyes of some people, that answer is yes. Should you be offended? Not really. No one is attacking you, personally, they're just listing the things they want in some hypothetical partner. (If you haven't yet had sex, does that make you less attractive in the eyes of some people? Again, the answer is yes. Are there a lot of people who don't give a hoot one way or another? Again, survey says YES.) Here's a list as an example*:
-Virgin. I want sex to be something special between just the two of us. -Tall. I want to be swept off my feet! ...Or at least, not tower over my guy. -Red hair! I just find it really attractive on a guy, as long as it's not cut super-short. -Likes photography! What better way to have a picture-perfect history of your relationship than to date a guy who's hobby is taking beautiful pictures?
That list doesn't mean that I would never date a non-virgin, any more than it means that I would exclusively date redheads or photographers. We are putting people into categories because, to us, there is a difference between them, and one side of the coin (or dice) is more attractive to us. That's the point of the thread. *List does not necessarily reflect the views of the poster.
I don't have a problem with people requiring it, I have a problem with people insulting those who aren't virgins. If people want to date a virgin, that's fine with me - I have trouble understanding the why but that's a nonissue - but when people start insinuating that people who've had sex and couldn't wait till marriage are worth less than other people I take issue.
 5.
First of all, it aint bad tri, whats been commented above is just a bunch of people whove lost their virginity trying to maintain respect for themselves and for each other (and i type this with as much respect as possible). Personally i view finding someone who could keep their virginity for a long time a find indeed. Like The Boss said, that really would be harder to find as you get older, and to me that makes the search all the more worthwile. And if your just looking for someone who's good in bed then thats sad, tho i think those were just idle comments. But yeah, if i wind up with nothing, i wouldnt mind taking someone whos already lost their virginity. And looks arent everything to me. If a girl just has the looks and not the skills, she's not worth it in my eyes. :animesigh
Spoken like a true virgin. Look dude, if you believe virginity is so sacred that it should be saved till marriage, fine , go for your life. Your wedding night is going to be unsatisfying but that's neither here nor there. Don't go insinuating that people who have done the dirty are second class citizens though, and don't go assuming we have no respect for ourselves either. Because, man, I'll have you know I have a lot of respect for myself. My virginity - or lackthereof - doesn't factor into that at all.
 6. Jeez people, all this talk about pirats and ninjas, and you forget the true superpower today, the one guy that could defeat (or unite) all pirates and ninjas singlehandedly. Who, you ask? Who has such power, such skill? Why, Zombie Jesus, of course (though, if complications arise Cyborg Jesus is more than capable of doing the job).
 7. Wasn't a compliment, dude.
 8. I think Tical Blue is hilarious.

 10. When you went to take a piss. And it's not golf, it's calvinball, get it right, man.
 11.
The perfect guy for me would be: -they have to be nice -would stand up for himself and me -HAS TO BE A VIRGIN -doesn't smoke -doesn't drink -has to be buff -loves anime -loves manga -isn't a nerd, dork, or any other thing that involves acting nerdy -at least laughs and encourages me when I do something wrong That's it and if any of you guys can fulfill this then just PM me. 'Kay? :animesmil
You want them to like anime and manga and not be a nerd? Honey, that's what we in the biz like to call an oxymoron. Besides that, why have a virgin? Having been a virgin myself (it's my dirty, horrible secret) I can safely say that virgins suck in bed. If you're a virgin too, and you don't know what you like, then things are just going to get very awkward, very fast.
 12. I count three with less than you, without expanding thumbnails. FAIL.
 13. I did some obscure thing for six months, wherein I learnt that my instructor was a pot smoker and extremely cool, but little else. Then I did Tae Kwon Do for a year, but was so lazy I only ever learnt how to punch properly and assume a respectable stance for sparring. I never got past yellow belt, and it doesn't worry me, since learning how to do a proper boxer's 1-2 jab through Tae Kwon Do has helped me more than anything in any brawls I get into. lol Since quitting that God-forsaken class, I have never down a single roundhouse kick.
 14. They usually operate similarly to a mail app, at least mine does. It has the classic three pane setup, with items in the top, content in the bottom and feeds on the lefts, and gives notifications the exact same way as Mail 2.0. There are online solutions as well though, like Bloglines and Feedlounge, but they've never interested me so I don't know. lol
 15. If you like RSS feeds, get a real aggregator. Simply having a link to the content isn't anything compared to actually being able to read the content without visiting the website it was fetched from. Also, the Firefox implementation is inefficient, as it's still downloading all the content (full feeds, partial feeds), just isn't letting you use the (sometimes large) amounts of data that are stored between content tags. A proper aggregator would make use of that content so you wouldn't have to visit the actual page.
 16. I've met people from this forum before - I even got engaged to one of them, but that's a whole other story. So, instead, I'll list the people I haven't met, but want to, for reasons so varied and mind boggling few - if any - will grasp my reasoning. James: Because he's both Fearless Leader and Boss Man, and he's a pretty decent guy (you know, if you don't incite his terrible rage in which he splits the Earth beneath your feet and laughs maniacally as you fall into a bottomless pit from which there is no return - only death). Also, he lives closish by, so it's more than feasible, but it's kind of awkward, so I'll leave it in his hands. Shinmaru: Really, I just want to hit him. Once, good and hard in the stomach, then I'd buy him a milkshake as apology. John: Me and John? We're close. We're brothers. Brothers in arms against the Communist threat of boredom. I would take a bullet in some non-vital region of my body for this man, and I'm sure he wouldn't object to acting as a human shield of some description for me. RiflesAtRecess: The dude just needs a good laugh, irl. There's many more - and a lot of the reasoning is less than stellar (arse, and the kicking of it, would involve at least four people) - but I'm bored, and tired, and OB makes me cry myself to sleep with shame at night, so I'm done.
 17.
What do I want right now? Hmm, one of three things. One is a Wii. Tha thing is freaking amazing. I just don't wanna wait. TT__TT The second is to beat KHII. I begged and pleaded for that game for my birthday, and nearly EVERYONE I know that has it has beaten it by now. D: Including my best friend. I must catch up... The third is my inner fangirl speaking - I want either Hohenheim from FMA, Zelos from ToS, Sora from KH, or Sephiroth from FFVII to be real. xD Do I really need to explain that in furhter detail?
Well, you're going to have to explain to me why you want a homocidal killer who not once but twice tried to destroy an entire city of innocent people, and was actually successful in singlehandedly destroying a village - children and all. Jesus, people get all caught up about Sephiroth being so kawaii or whatever, but consistently forget that he has no compassion for human life, in any circumstance, ever and that his ultimate goals actually involve becoming a God so the human race can grovel like dogs at his feet. I mean, come on, look past the long hair.
 18.
Can someone explain to me what's going on with the popularity rankings? When you're on the main MyO page, I (as well as all my friends I've asked) just see "unavailable" under "popularity ranking". What I really want to know is why no one's brought it up yet...
Largely because noone cares.
 19. I want to get laid sometime between now and Christmas. It's been too long.
 20.
Unnessissary, maybe. But you didn't answer the question. I appologize for the "scare mongering" and for my rudeness, but since the issue was brought up, and it is serious, what are we going to do about it? I don't have much to worry about, as I'm pretty cautious, but we do need to do something.
You can't do anything about it. If it's going to happen, it's going to happen, no matter the precautions you take. What would you suggest, getting every new member to theO and OB background checked and profiled? It's not feasible, and it's not even a problem. At the moment theO has security through obscurity, since it's much smaller than MySpace. When it gets bigger, though, I imagine it won't become an issue anyway. Seriously, the people who get stalked on MySpace are young, dumb, and more often than not, lying about their age. They set themselves up for the fall. People on an anime community usually have more brains about them, and, besides that, theO just doesn't provide the facilities for a predator to find out everything about someone, or for a member to really give out that information. It is a nonissue. This whole thing is a nonissue. It has been a nonissue ever since OB, then myO, was set up. Get over it.
 21.
Not so. If you know what your doing, you could find anybody here, but screen names do slow the prosess down! I hate to say it, but theO and friend sites are very unsafe, but not all sixteen year-olds are naive! I'm speeking as one! We don't just arbitrarily give people our information! Sure, the Otaku sites aren't as a=safe as we want, but I still here, and I'm not leaving!
********. myOtaku/theOtaku/OB only has a search for screen names, and that's all. You can't search for full real names, AIM screen-names, or addresses, like in MySpace. Furthermore, the only information any of theOtaku services holds is your birthday and random (useless) information about your goals and whatnot - and that's optional. Without knowing someone's screenname, tracking anyone down on myO/theO/OB is damn near impossible. Don't start scare mongering when there's no basis for it.
 22. OtakuBoards and MySpace are a completely different in terms of functionality and uses. the/myOtaku is different as well, as it doesn't really encourage friending as much, and puts more focus on personal creations. Even if that wasn't the case, I still think it's a nonissue - I mean, what kind of child predator would pick an anime nerd to begin with?
 23.
Heh, all you windows users make me sick.
You made my OSX Tiger cry. :(
 24.
How can you say that like it never even happened?! *runs away in tears*
The magic of science!!
 25. Well, it wasn't easy. It's a long tale, involving sacrificial ceremonies, machine guns, nazis, old magick and a climatic finale in which I face my arch enemy and thousands of his clones. It was really awesome, and I made friendships to last a life time, killed so many my hands were stained red, and learnt how to drive a stickshift, but frankly, I don't have the time to tell it all. So I'll leave you guessing.
