Well. That's... interesting. Honestly I have never done a character development for any of my stories, but seeing this i may consider it. She seems like a very fractured individual... and a Christian. Unfortunately the section about her parent's divorce is all too common in this day and age though. --EDIT-- Soz about the Mormons remark.

It seems a bit fast to me. And the bright flash annoys me. You never really see the text properly. Otherwise the colour choice is good, blue and black work well with Sonic.

A Hobbit movie would be much easier to do, and much more fun. Firstly, it's shorter - less bits get ripped out. Secondly, it was designed to be more entertaining because its aimed at Children. With some more mature humour as well.Of course there would be the whole dillema of taking on the persona of Gandalf in the Hobbit (not as serious, a bit goofy) or LOTR where he is very serious about the task at hand.
Originally posted by Dragon Warrior I tried reading through The Hobbit and got rather bored so I never finished it. I never started reading LOTR because of that. Though, there's rumor that The Hobbit was the most boring of the bunch, anyways. I should probably give that good ole trilogy a good whack, then, aye? :)
The Hobbit wasn't the most boring of the bunch, it just wasn't aimed at the same audience. Tolkien originally wrote it as a children's story for his son. The Lord of the Rings, while spectacular, is only really an exceptionally large (and considerably darker) extension on that plot.

Writing OtakuBoards: Enter the Net [PG]
DeadSeraphim replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Creative Works
Another outstanding chapter. Describing it as if it was the Birth of a Relgion... wait, that could be a good idea... OtakuBoardians.... I'll get back to you on that one. Anyway Solo, another good one. Hope I can be in the next one... *grins slyly* -
Well... it's good. To a degree. The pictures work well and have been chosen appropriately but the curved thing around it kind of ruins it a bit. And the text is also hard to read, probably because its so small. And curvey.
-
It's too big to use here but otherwise I like it. Alot. For obvious reasons. The pic you have of D in front of the moon is a bit grainy though. That's the only thing I don't like about it.

Anime what video game do you think would make a good anime
DeadSeraphim replied to ninj4_monkey's topic in Otaku Central
I think Metal Gear Solid would make a good anime. It wouldn't be a series though, but a feature length movie, ala Vamp. Hunter D or Akira. The sequels could be handled similiarly. It would have the same kind of animation as Akira or Vamp. Hunter D (ie good) and would either take exactly from the plot or modify it somewhat. -
It's good, I like it. Unless I'm stupid, I'd say she is in mourning, and you have captured the moment nicely. However, in two or three lines you switch from past to present tense. Nothing much to worry about, just my perverse grammatical sense kicking in.

Art Movie: Super Otaku Brothers (Rated PG-13)

That was hilarious. And there was yet another outing of midget bashing. Comic genious. By the way, what do you have against midgets? -
I haven't watched enough of the show to form a solid opinion but from what I've seen it's incredibly good. Deals with a lot of issues of teens and does it well. Of course, I have seen the 'Next Generation', so I'm not sure if that opinion counts here.

Do you consider yourself a real Otaku?
DeadSeraphim replied to Moor_Child's topic in General Discussion
I have never and will never call myself an Otaku. I haven't seen enough Anime for starters, and I'm already eccentric enough without adding another tag. I don't think anyone could ever be a true Otaku, as everyone has different opinions on what an Otaku is. I'd think an Otaku would be a cosplay fetishest... but that's my opinion. Some may consider themselves an Otaku whilst only have watched uber-loads of anime, while people who have watched the same amount may not because they aren't into cosplay or own half a million imported action figures. It's a matter of one's opinion on what constitues an Otaku. -
I like Kuja. For no reason, mind you, he just looks cool when he is in Trance. And the fact that he steals Bahaumet and uses it for his own dastardly deeds. He wasn't nuts either, just completely driven by the need for power. Anyway, yeah, in my opinion, Kuja s**ts all over Sephiroth. For no reason.

Happy New year from Merry Old England
DeadSeraphim replied to ColourDeaf's topic in General Discussion
Yep. It was huge. Over tow tonnes of fireworks. In just one city. I, however slept right through it all. New Year's doesn't interest me that much. -

It's been 2004 for over 14 hours here. This is great - we're ahead of the rest of the world - but my posts at myOtaku are not. -
I've only read the Circle of Magic, and I'd have to agree with you Ashley. Briar is cool. I found all of the others annoying and quite frankly didn't enjoy their books as much as Briar's at all.

Millenium Eye all the way. Maybe I'd have the puzzle to, but only for the awesome dualing skills of Yami Yugi. With eye I could finally see what people are thinking when they do the idiot things that piss me off so much.

Really it wouldn't surprise me. George Bush had troubling rallying support for the war to begin with, and would be looking for a reason to make the war legitimate. The capture of Saddam did that. It's even more ironic that more US Soldiers were killed after the war though, in the supposed peace time.
Originally posted by MaggieMehve Oh god. Remember the episode where they kept on saying "yaddi yaddi yadda"? Oh! That was a gold mine. I kept on saying that to everyone at school for months as my excuses and reasons. XD "What took you so long?" asks my friend. "Some people yaddi yaddi yadda." End of Conversation. :P
"You can't yadda yadda sex!" "Sure you can." "I've yadda yaddad sex." That was classic.
Originally posted by Charles If you think about it, Rufus Shinra is a much more interesting individual.
Well. I do agree. Sephiroth really was just a puppet and only had one motive. To become an omnipotent being (I think that's the proper usage of the word). Rufus was doing what he thought was right (for the most part) and instead of leaving he died with his city, like a captain going down with the ship if you will. But I didn't choose either, so I can be unbiased on the subject. I'd probably prefer Rufus over Sephiroth, mainly for depth of character.

Art My Gift to OB: How the James Stole Christmas (animation)
DeadSeraphim replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
That is hilarious, my mouth hurt from smilling after it was done. The midget bashing was a nice touch I thought, as was the random mention of Tom Cruise. It's the funniest thing I've seen for ages.
