I'm afraid that Bush will be reelected. And then our troops will never get out of Iraq and we'll go to war with someone else like Uzbecastan or something. Or that Kerry will be elected and we'll be in an even worse pickle than we are already. Or even worse, that Nadar will be elected and well, who the hell knows what will happen if that happens because nobody even knows what the guy is running for. Now that I've said that I think I can get a good night's sleep and then go for my OBGYN appointment tomorrow

If this isn't allowed let me know, but with the lyric game going on I thought I'd try this idea. Basically all you do is add a line onto a story. I'm only trying this because it worked out rather well in another messageboard I was in. Okay I'll start: Once upon a time there was a dog who liked to sing opera... Next line
I didn't care for that whole "Sailor Moon says" crap they added.
Did anyone besides me notice in the Sailor Says segments at the end of the episodes contained some deleted scenes from that day's episode? Take for example the Episode where Serena wants to try and be in that talent show that the *cringe* Negaverse *cringe* gets a hold of. There's a part in there where Melvin was handing out streamers to celebrate him and Molly ( you know I'm going to scald my hands for typing dub names after this post) being in the show. Everyone throws them and then they cut to the next scene. Well, in the original Umino (melvin) gets hit in the face with one of the streamers. I guess DiC thought that the sight of someone being hit in the face was too graphic so they cut it out, but in that Sailor Says part at the end, they show the deleted scene with the streamer. There was also a part in there where Usagi ran into the men's room, but I've seen the original and I can't see where you can tell if it's the men's room or not. The DiC version had deleted scenes in the opening as well. They didn't show the opening credits on Cartoon Network, but one of the Syracuse stations aired SailorMoon after DBZ when I was in college and I saw clips of the dead senshi before the beginning of Day Of Destiny (or whatever it was called) Yet they didn't show that in the regular episode because it was too disturbing.
Hopefully, now that the show, in its entirety, is coming to DVD, I'll have to save up to get it all. They better not skimp out on SailorStars and not bring it.
Last thing's first. I already stated in my other reply that they won't bring Stars over (and if they do I'll eat my DVD player) because in the anime the Sailor Star Lights change from men into women. OF course they some how managed to release the last season in Germany and Italy by saying that the Sailor Star Lights were the Three Lights sisters or something. But don't count on North America getting the final season (or atleast the US) As for the first two seasons, I have both sets. And there are some pros and cons to the DVDs. Cons: For some reason they didn't release episode 67 onto the box set, Where Rei goes to some island and they find some dinosaur or whatever When Sailor Moon does Moon Sceptor Helation the subtitle says Moon Princess Elimination even though you can hear her plain as day. The second season is about $20.00 more than the first go figure Despite the cost there are no extras except that on one or two of the discs in both seasons you can get previews of the other anime that the company releases. The translation to the opening song is very different from what I've seen on the Pioneer DVDs for the third and fourth season . The translation to Otomo Policy (maiden's policy) seems off as well. The DVDs aren't Bilingual THey don't have the opening or closing previews like the show and pioneer had Pros: The first season includes every episode released for that season. THere are no deleated scenes You can see if the company has other anime you'd like to watch. Statisticaly speaking don't buy the Box sets unless you're a die hard Sailor MOon fan who will watch them more that three times in a month.

I guess this should go here, right? I mean it's TV and Movie related Okay then... Let's see there are countless reality TV topics out there now. Who wants to marry my dad, for love or money and the old stand by fear factor where contestents eat pig fetuses and go into tanks of water for only half a million dollars. Basic idea of this post is that the subject for the show can be either a good idea or a bad idea. But you have to actually go into a bit of detail with the show or else the whole post will be a complete waste. And now in all fairness, here's one of my ideas: Boot Camp basic idea  Contestants go through the six weeks of military basic training competing to see who can move up in phase first. I'm not really sure of how to explain the rest of the game except that I think the whole first season would bomb because after the first week of 10K marches and having to make up songs about only wearing black socks with their BDUs the contestants may try to vote themselves out of Boot Camp. Incentives for staying in and trying to make it to Blue Phase and graduate at the top could be things like getting to go off base and wear civilian clothes. Oh and maybe eatting things besides MREs (Meals ready to eat). Well, there's probably the only idea I could come up with and that's because I was watching Major Payne before I got online. Well, let's see what you've got.

I don't have AIM. I have a Spam filter on my Hotmail account and the reason nobody except the people on my buddy list can get me on Yahoo is because I'm marked as invisible. So I don't bother to look at the Junk mail in the junk box because i don't know who sent it. But I do think those stupid emails are annoying. I'd love to strangle the first person who sent the message with their own computer mouse cord...unless they have one of those optic mice. If they have an optic mouse, I'll just bludgen them to death with it.

I was listening to my Good Charlotte CD when Bloody Valentine came on. That's when I thought 'Hey, why don't I ask people what songs creep them out in some way. And then have them discribe why the song or songs creep them out. The one that I can think of right now is of course Bloody Valentine by Good Charlotte The song is about this guy who was really jealous of this guy who liked this girl that he liked and so the guy killed his competition. NIce huh? Well, that's not the end of the story, after that he called the girl on the phone and told her what he had done. I think one of the freakiest things about this song is that it has such an up beat tempo. Oh and the fact that it's a song about this guy telling his crush that he killed her boyfriend. So, what are your choices?

Do your parents make you do everything!?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to mononoke_man's topic in General Discussion
Okay, so I read it wrong. My bad! In that case, no, my parents don't make me do everything, but I'd immagine that would suck royaly. My brother and I have certain jobs we have to do. I have laundry he does the trash. Have you considered talking to your parents about this treatment? That could always work. -
Anime Divorce Court: Worst Anime Couples!
Well, I always interpreted that as a deep friendship, but when you look at it that way, it is ...kinda strange. I only thought about it that way because nothing really happens between them, nothing that close friends wouldn't do anyway...
What's so bad about two girls being remotely interested in eachother? I fail to see the problem. -
Anime Battle of the Pairings (Canon/Yaoi/Yuri/Cross-Series etc)
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Patronus's topic in Otaku Central
Disagree: Sesshoumaru and Kagura ex 1) what would Kagura see in Sess or Vice versa ex 2) The only reason Kagura would go to Sess is for help to be free of Naraku ex 3) Kagura keeps saying over and over "I am the wind and the wind needs to be free" or something like that, and being paired to Sesshoumaru would only mean that she was not free.
Kagura and Sesshomaru make one of the best anime couples in my opinion. Much better than some kind of pediphile pairing with him and Rin. Exhibit A: The way they interract This episode hasn't come out in the US yet, but I think if I just give a small discription I won't need spoilers. Kagura is asking Sesshomaru to help her be free of Naraku. But instead of using niceties and politeness towards him (ie calling him Sesshomaru Sama) or even bowing to him she just calls him Sesshomaru with no honorfics and asks for help. Sesshomaru is not insulted and he doesn't do anything to her for her lack of respect towards someone of his station. Jaken is especially suprized by this. However, instead of trying to help her he says that he admires people who try to help themselves. Exhibit B: Being free I'm married and I still feel like a free person. Meaning that I still think for myself and I control my own actions. My husbadn would probably end up in traction if he tried to control anything I said or did. That said , I don't think that Kagura's quote made when she's talking about trying to be free of Naraku can also be applied to Sesshomaru. Naraku holds Kagura's heart in his hands quite literally. SInce he has her heart he can control her actions. This is why Kagura is not free. It has nothing to do with a loving relationship which I believe she could have with Sesshomaru. I don't think that Kagura would feel restrained by Sesshomaru the way she feels with Naraku. Exhibit C: Getting rid of her bond to Naraku I believe that Kagura seeks Sesshomaru's help because she knows that he has considerab;e power. She respects him for that, but she also doesn't feel that she's beneath him, instead she sees herself as his equal. Exhibit D: Finally, what they see in eachother Kagura sees Sesshomaru as someone she can turn to for help. Sesshomaru sees Kagura as someone who is willing to risk her life for freedom. It's as simple as that. -
Anime Divorce Court: Worst Anime Couples!
For myself, I've never really had anything against the canon couplings.
You wrote this which is fine. Canon couples although at times boring can be nice and normal but then you have...
And for Inu Yasha--I've always liked Inu Yasha & Kikyou. Before Naraku tricked them. Before Kikyou was resurrected. I mean, Inu Yasha & Kagome work really well with each other, I just think that Inu Yasha & Kikyou would've been better. Ah well. Kagome fan may now proceed to murder me. ;)
The way I've understood InuYasha is that the canon pairings are: 1.) Kagome/InuYasha 2.) Sango/Miroku InuYasha really can't end up with Kikyo for the simple fact that
Later in the series Kikyo ends up dying again. For good this time. I don't know when it's going to happen I just know it happens. I don't think Rumiko Takahashi is going to make InuYasha stay with a dead lady. Especially one who's going to stay dead.
Nothing against Kikyo, but she doesn't actually love love InuYasha any more. She died hating him and now her body still hates him. Besides, if she was so easily betrayed by him once who's to say she wouldn't be betrayed by him again? While we're on the subject of the InuYasha anime and manga I'd like to bring up another pairing which I've always found disturbing. The pairing of Rin and Sesshomaru. This could never work out becuase they seem to have more of a father daughter relationship than that of two people who will gradually learn to love eachother. Try as I might, I just can't see Sesshomaru as a pediphile. And don't try to convince me that it could happen when Rin gets older. In my opinion, I think that even when she gets older Sesshomaru would still think of Rin as his daughter. I think that Kagura and Sesshomaru make a much better couple, but for that I'd have to go to the other topic about anime couples. -
I've done so much cross over fanfiction I really can't help but have this need to think of who could go into what and how. Take SailorMoon and Gundam Wing for example. Magical girl anime meets mecha anime. That alone is enough to become intriguing, but then you go and invert story lines and try to think of what would happen if Duo went to T*A school for girls and trick him out in one of the Sailor senshi uniforms. After a while it gets really funny. If you want to try manga as well I often wonder what would happen if you put Peach Girl and Mars together. I haven't really gotten much of a chance to think on teh whole thing, but what I could immagine happening is something along the lines of Sae wanting to get Rei away from Kira because Rei's dad has money. Then maybe Kira and Momo would team up. I'm saying this because Momo keeps getting misunderstood for her looks and for the longest time Kira was always retreating inside herself. For the real fun though, nothing beats crossing cartoons with anime.

Seeing that my mom obviously remembers more from my early childhood than I do I guess I can probably believe some of the things she says. For example, I had Rainbow Bright and all the Color Kids and I had one of those plastic shopping carts. Well, according to my mom I was pushing the shopping cart around the living room and kitchen with a few Barbie dolls in the front and the color kids in the back. My mom tried to put a few of the color kids up with the BArbies and I said 'No mom, color kids in the back.' There's also an issue involving the time I fell out of a shopping cart when I was two and got a concusion. Mom says I was leaning too far out of the seat and the whole cart fell over. And then of course there's all the times I started acting up in Church. But that's too many times to mention in one post.
I, too, would vote for Bush. I believe he is an honest man, and his choices have been made for the best of the country. Anyone who say otherwise, like Michael Moore, can burn.
Thank you for making such a short post, this will be quick and painless for both of us. Bush is far from honest, the only reason we went to war with Iraq is because he listened to bad advice from his advisors and lied about finding WMDs. Add that to his questionalble guard record and any other clap trap he's said and he loses even more credibility. Plus, he's a politician, politicians aren't honest. As for his choices being for the best interests of this country, I must laugh in your face for that comment. I fail to see how sending my husband to get shot at is for the best for this country. It certainly wasn't in either of our best interests. Now, I don't agree with Michael Moore's extreme views on the subject. Infact I wish hed send his rich over fed, over hyped, fat butt to Iraq and make himself useful as a human sheild for our Marines and such. However, I don't agree with Bush's radical ideas of everything from marriage to this ill conceived war on terror. So I guess I should probably go burn now right? Becuase I dissagree with your views on the subject. I'm sorry if I may sound a bit pissy, but my brother is getting on my last nerve. Plus I absolutely detest being rounded into a catergory with Michael Moore. CHW

Love is one of those strange experiances that has to be had for each individual and it's different for each individual. Besides, what kind of love are we talking about becasue tehre are quite a few different types. For exampe: I love my mom, but not the same way I love my husband. And I love my cat, but it's not the same kind of love I have for my best friend. Infact, implying that the love I have for my cat is equal to the love I have for my best friend who I have not only known for a longer period of time, but who has offered emotional support in quite a few life crisises cheapens the friendship. Also, implying that I love my mom teh same way I love my husband has this nasty incestrous cloud around it. But I would say that everyone has experianced some definition of love even if it was one sided.
Get a job and they'll stop bothering you.
Not true, I had a job when I was sixteen and my parents still wanted me to do stupid things like clean my room and load and unload the dishwasher. Oh and do the laundry. What you should really do to ease the burden on yourself is move out-preferably to another state where they can't bother you any more. Then instead of your parents or whomever making you do everything, you can make yourself do everything. Of course, if you end up like me you'll get some kind of spouse or partner or whatever and he or she will make you do stupid things like clean the apartment, make up a grocery list and balance the check book. Oh and do the laundry. However if you keep doing things like I do, you can have kids and make them do things. As soon as they're able to. -
Problems::warning !!(due to the maturity of this thread)
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Emme888's topic in General Discussion
A cousin of mine is still suffering from Bulimarexia (a combination of Anorexia Nervousa and Bulimia), even though her parents went and started treatment on her about ten years ago. So this subject kind of hits close to home. What I'd recommend is seeing a psychiatrist. Or reading some books about th elong term effects. Do you honestly have any idea what you're doing to your body in the long run? You keep depriving your body of nutrients and your organs are going to fail on you. You could die from kidney failure or a number of other problems brought about by this disorder. Many people become either annorexic or bulimic to try and feel some control in their life. From what you've mentioned about school and extra ciricular activities could that be why you decided to start refusing yourself food as some kind of control mechanism? I'm no expert, I haven't read too many books on the subject. The last time I actually did any research on this subject was for my senior paper five years ago. But I will say that you need help, and that first doctor you mentioned should be taken outside and smacked around a bit. In closing, I have to agree with Lady M. I'll beat the next person senseless who tries to tell her how to excercise. You want to tell me how to excercise fine, but don't tell an annorexic how to excercise. -
I'm afraid I'm going to screw up my kids so bad they'll try to move out when they're five or so. I'm also afraid about this rumor I heard about the four years after military enlistment may be forced to be active reserve duty. I know i have to explain this whole thing now. When you join up for the military you technically sign up for eight years no matter what your initial contract says. That means when a person signs up for six years he or she has two years when they can be called back into service. A four year contract means a four year possible call back. I'm not sure if congress would actually go through with this because of the possible outcry and resentment that could come from both the soldiers and their families. Besides, enlistments went up quite a bit after 9/11 so the military has pleanty of soldiers who know what they're doing, so maybe now they can remove the stop loss Well, that's about it from me for now.

From reading everyone else's posts I've come up with this opinion: The game system looks too small with the buttons in strange places to be comfortable to play for an extended period of time as many video game players are wont to do. The price looks a bit too high for my current income. It may be just because it will be a new product and that's what happens with all new products, but it still seems a but high. I'm sorry, but I can't think of much else to add to this post right now. Give me time and I'll look into it better.

This is helping a lot and I do thank you for the input. Who knows, this post could be helping other members as well...and maybe some day I'll stop being so perky at 2:15 in the morning. I think I'm going to actually write up a list of the games recommeded and then hopefully we'll get the stuff out to Lincoln and he'll get a nice belated Birthday gift...or, El forbid the Iraqis will bomb another mail truck. They've done that a few times. Once again, thank you very much, now I think i may actually do something really odd, like go to bed before 3AM

Not that I really know, I've only had experiance with the ex navy DS I have as a riding instructor. Just promise to come back to the Board with good Basic Training stories. Like if a DS mispronounced your name and you ignored them until they got uin your face and asked if you heard them. Then you say, I heard you Drill Segeant, but I thought you were calling so and so my name is : Either he or she will say nothing, or have you push until you see Jesus. I asked him why he thought we were fighting and he replied-Because Hussein threatened Bush's daddy and as a southern man he can't let that go.. YEs, I'm sure that's the real reason. [/color']
I've seen things lacking in a hell of a lot less intelligence than that. Trust me. It wasn't scary at all. Since we're continuously bringing up this War In Iraq deal and not considering the soldiers all that much, I'd like to bring this up: At the moment all soldiers stationed in combat areas receive an extra $400 a month for hazardous duty pay. However, at the end of December because of escallating war costs congress may lower it back to the standard $250 a month. Isn't that just a great way to show the troops how much their lives are worth? What does everyone think of that idea?

Anime Divorce Court: Worst Anime Couples!
Sailor Moon and Tuzedo Mask: 1)she's a crybaby and he's so MATURE there's not really anything else i can think of...
I'll agree with the whole Usagi/SailorMoon and Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen thing, but for different reasons. And in a minute. I want to defend poor Tsukino Usagi who is terribly misrepresented on a regular basis. True in the begining of the series Usagi is a ditzy whiney cry baby, but as the show progresses so does USagi's maturity level. Usagi never hesitates to do what's right in order to save her friends and the world at the cost of her own life. She even
Jumped in to help SailorSaturn after she had handed over the holy grail to Mistress9 and couldn't transform into SuperSailorMoon
Usagi is an extremely loyal friend to have. She pleaded with Uranus and Neptune for countless pure heart crystals of her fallen friends, and even tried to get Tuxedo Kamen to save himself when he was trying to defend her. Plus, she didn't run screaming and jump out of the highest window in the tallest tower when Neo King Endymion told her she'd be ChibiUsa/Small Lady's mother in the future. How's that for responsibility and maturity? People, don't underestimate the Bunny! Just because she's a terrible student doesn't mean she's completely unreliable as a person. As for the whole, could they last question well, I don't think so in a realistic setting. Of course in anime land who knows. I think that they're ages in the anime are too far apart to consider something even remotely to dating. Let alone getting married. For gods' sakes, it's like Anna Nicole Smith and that old billionare guy without the money! -
If I ever met Hiiro Yui I'd ask him what it's like to be stalked by someone who keeps asking him to kill her. Then I'd give him a t-shirt that said 'Are you stalking me? 'Cause that would be super Sure the whole meeting would probably get me shot. But at least I'd have some fun at the expense of my life. And what a way to die! Then again, considering he could never shoot Relena I doubt he'd shoot me no matter how annoying the whole meeting was. I have to say that if I met Sesshomaru I'd ask him if he wanted to go shopping and get his nails done. Because that's what I mentioned in a story I wrote for ff.net. Sure, he'd say no and get pissy as well, but who can blame me for asking? Now, obviously upon running into Sesshomaru, I'd have to run into Jaken. Jaken is one of those beings who I find extremely abnoxious. I'd stick him in a crate with CHibiUsa, Amelia, and Tsukino Usagi and mail them to Abu Dabi. Or even better, the Green Zone It fits right? Well, atleast for Jaken. ChibiUsa, Usagi and Amelia aren't anywhere near being green, so it could be a stretch, but when you tell them that their job is to uphold Ai to seigi or love and justice, well, I doubt they'll back down. Besides, having two senshi and some hyper girl who calls Lina Inverse Lina San would do great justice to the news reports on Iraq because for those who don't know, the Green Zone is Baghdad.
