1. Well, you could always have him say what my now husband said to me when he was trying to ask me out. 'What do you think would happen if we went out?' There's also the classic line I was proposed by 'Would you be willing to put up with my **** for the rest of your life?' Of course your friend could also add: Or if not the rest of your life, maybe just a small portion of it. I've never really gotten or heard any good pick up lines Asian or other wise. The worst one I've heard is when R Kelly was asking some woman if he could compare her to his Jeep. And that song was on VH1's 50 worst songs ever. If i was you I'd probably stay a safe distance away from this guy so nobody would think I was associated with him in any way. Go overboard with that and if he comes up to you say-Sorry, but I don't talk to strangers and run away. For an added bonus, let him try what Spike suggested then pretend not to know him (unless he's your ride. If he's your ride, that coudl backfire!) Out of morbid curiousity, why does he want to pretend to be Asian? If you're not Asian that's pretty hard to do. It's like trying to be a gerbil, you just can't do it if you don't look like a gerbil. (okay, bad analogy, but I had to try)
  2.
But anyway- since this is verging on being a 'favourites' thread, I'd like to ask those who reply to all explain exactly why[/b'] it is that the characters would be your chosen anime boyfriend/girlfriend. Otherwise this'll turn into a spam thread very quickly, and it'll hence be closed even more quickly.
Will do Solo :D If I had to start dating a two demensional character (even more accurately if I was able to date) I'd have to pick Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing. Why would I choose Duo? Well simple logic my friends, pure and simple logic...according to a few bio pages I've read about Duo, he's only 5'2 (why do you think fanfic authors always add a few inches) and I'm 5'4 1/2 so he couldn't call me Cheebs or Chibi. There are also sayings about short men, but this is not the place to put them On a more G rated level I like Duo's character. He's funny, he makes strange faces, and he's got really nice hair and eyes. I'm really big on hair and eyes and I'm just allowing myself to figure that Duo has nice hair. As for the clothes oh that's what shopping is for. Now you'll all keep my secret right? ______________________________________________________________ Curiousity leads me to do this though: Which Anime or manga character could you just not date? Me that would be at this moment Masao from Mars. Yes, I said he's one of my favorite Male villains, but that's precisely why I wouldn't date him (I wouldn't even let him stay at my house for a night) I don't want to wind up with a severe case of deadness. Masao is a mentally unstable person, he gets put into psyche wards for trying to kill people. He has the police watching him because he has killed people. Hell he has one of the worst tempers I could ever imagine for a 2 demensional character. In book 6 he
Shoved this girl on the escalator because she stepped on his foot by accident, didn't realize it and didn't appologize. Then when everyone was falling down and hurting themselves he laughed. Later he told the cop it was like watching dominos.
That's why I have to say no to Masao.
  3. I'd like to know everyone's three favorite movies of all time and why. But first this announcement: I want a nice clean civil discussion about your three favorite movies. It's not like someone's insulting your mother or something to that effect. These are just someone's opinions it's not like the person's telling you to think like them. Okay that's done and over with so I'll put up my three favorite movies in no particular order: 1.) Shrek- I just thought it was so hilarious the first time I saw it and I couldn't wait to see it again. I especially liked how the adult jokes were disquised enough to go over the kids' heads. 2.) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation- I watch it every year around Christmas and it never gets old. My favorite parts are when the squirell is found in the tree by the cat and they end up running around the house and then the dog gets into it and the tree falls over. And the whole scene with the turkey. That and How the Grinch stole Christmas help me get in the holiday spirit. 3.) Ever After- One of the best remakes of Cinderella I've ever seen. Drew Barrymore is excellent as Danielle and Anjelica Houston makes an excellent evil step mother. Plus the ending is one of my favorite movie endings I've seen in a while. Now I have to go and watch it again! Well, I've shared mine, now let's see yours.
  4. I go to movies whenever there's one out that I really want to see. Like a few weeks ago I went to go see Mean Girls with my best friend and her boyfriend. It was actually pretty good. Next I want to go see Shrek 2 because I've been waiting for a sequel since 2001...I guess. Movies up here range from $5.75 for matinee to $8.75 for the evening showing depending on where you go. If you don't mind craning your neck you can pay $1.25 for previously run movies. I usually go see comedies when I'm with friends so as long as people don't talk too loud it doesn't matter what time I go. But if I'm with Lincoln we try to go see the later showings because it's less likely that a parent would bring their three year old to a 10:30 showing of LOTR. At least I'd hope a parent wouldn't bring a three year old out that late. The reason I go to see a movie is to have some sort of conversation later. Whether or not I liked the film as much as the other person or people I saw it with . Were there any lines that stood out? Sometimes I have to ask Lincoln if he had a good nap (okay, that only happened during The fast and the furious because he was so tired from something and The Hours because it was so boring) Sometimes I go to see if I'd want to own it on DVD when the movie came out or if the critics were high when they were reviewing the movie. I don't go to a movie to expect to come out superior to everyone else I talk to because they didn't like what I liked.
  5. I already gave my favorite female villain before hand. My favorite Male villain is a tie between Masao from MArs or Nakago from Fushigi Yugi. I picked Masao because he's just so ruthless he doesn't even think about the outcome of his actions. Plus he looks so innocent nobody would believe for a minute that he was capable of squishing a bug let alone killing someone. Those are two things that make a great villain which is why he's one of my favorites. Nakago is always mentioned as a favorite male villain or a villain in general when a question like this arises so who shouldn't I mention him? Nakago is my other favorite male villain because he's cold and calculating. He'll stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He
tricked Yui into becoming the seiryuu no miko by telling her she was raped and Miaka had abandoned her for Tamahome.
Also speaking of Tamahome
Nakago got Tamahome to leave Konan and go to Kudo (?)Also when Tamahome tried to escape he had him whipped. then he brainwashed Tamahome with an earring and almost had him kill Miaka.
You just have to appreciate a guy who knows what he wants. Even if he is extremely evil. Of course, if I really have to chose a favorite anime character in general I may as well go with Setsuna Meiou (a.k.a. SailorPluto) from SailorMoon. She has the power to put up with ChibiUsa. She can control time and she's extremly level headed unlike the other inners (don't go there with Ami, she's too level headed.) Plus she has the best henshin and attack. I lvoe how she just whispers 'Deado Scream' and bye bye goes the youma. I just wish she had more play time. STupid Toei animation. Also I was wondering if we could include or least favorite character as well? As long as we give a decent reason not justI can't stand Usagi or Kagome is so flakey. My least favorite female villain would have to be a toss up between Sae from Peach Girl or Mimmet from SailorMoonS. Sae is just too underhanded even for someone like me who likes a bit of underhandedness in their villains. She's just too much of an evil coniver and she has no real goal to be so nasty. I could understand if she was trying to gain control of something or if she had a bad childhood, but she's just evil for teh sake of being evil. Mimette is too much of a crazy boy chaser. And not just a crazy boy chaser a teeny bopper boy chaser. Plus she
caused Eudial to die
and Eudial was my second favorite female villain. I just can't forgive something like that.
  6. I always thought it was a bit scary when some girl in my high school would obsess over Leonardo DiCaprio and get pissed at anyone who said he was over rated. I was much more down to earth and I enjoyed staying there. I can't seriously name a celebraty crush I've had since 3rd or 4th grade (anyone remember New Kids On the Block?) But of course we're interested in the lives of celebraties. It's nothing new, back at the turn of the last century people were watching what the Vanderbilts, the Astors and even the Roosevelts were doing. It was the big thing back then and things really haven't changed all that much; with the exception of the papperazzi who have become a bit too sneaky and some of the celebraties who have become a bit too crazy.
  7. Is anyone goingto judge this then, or are we going to close it? I vote close if nobody decides who has the best caption.
  8. Yet another reason to listen to your Drill Sergeant when he or she tells you to check the safety while standing at parade rest with your gun.
  9. My only big change at 13 was the change. I already had the bosoms in 3rd grade, I just paid for my last pair of X chromosomes that year. I can't recall too many big changes when i became a teenager. I do remember a friend of mine throwing her ghetto barbie jeep at me when she got mad at me and she was 13. But I doubt that's an actual sign. I think that's more like a cry for help. Your friends may be becoming slightly less stable, but I've never met your friends so I don't know if that's due to the whole coming of age thing, or just because of their environment. Mostly I'd go with what Godel said with the whole Welcome to such and such a place. Turning 13 is like going from one place in Ohio to the next. You don't notice the change.
  10. I think I can do this right? It's only been gone for over 3 weeks so it's not too dead right? I figure I'd tell you about the girl who reminds me of Sae Kashiwagi from Peach Girl and ChibiUsa. Her name's Ruth and she's not one of my favorite people. Or could you tell that already? First off she's got one of the biggest mouths this side of the Mississippi River. When my best friend told her she was pregnant , Ruth told my bf's mom. Ruth also told her that it shouldn't be my bf that was pregnant, but it should've been her and she told my bf to get an abortion. Nice girl huh? There's more. Ruth's married and she cheats on her husband (of course, the guy doesn't say anything to stop her from cheating on him, or try to get a divorce, but still she's only been married for two years and she started doing that about 2 months into it.) She also leeches off of people, she doesn't have a liscence so a person going to hang out with her has to drive into the city to go pick her up and she won't give you gas money. Then if you go somewhere she'll expect you to pay for her or convieniantly forget her wallet. Finally to elevate her to extreme Sae status, she tries to flirt with other people's boyfriends and *cough* husbands *cough* even though she's married. All and all the girl is a prime candidate for anime villain.
  11. Otherwise known as Fooly Cooly. The anime is on Cartoon network on saturdays but that's not what this thread is about. Oh no. I've tried twice to watch an entire episode, but I can't seem to get into it. Am I the only one? Does anyone actually know what this anime is about or am I not alone? What I'm asking is has anyone watched the anime or read the manga and if so could you describe what it's about. I hope I didn't break too many rules here today, I just couldn't think of how else to go about this.
  12. Blair Witch made me cry because I paid $7.50 to watch it does that count? If not well: 1.) Angel Eyes
when I found out that the guy lost his wife and his kid in the car accident in teh beginning of teh movie.
Not the whole thing, just that one part because it was pretty sad to find that out. And yes, I did actually sit through a J-Lo film. 2.) Fried Green Tomatoes-
After teh guy was run over by the train and died
He still shouldn't have been playing like that. 3.) Bambi- I was six years old and the poor baby's mother got shot by hunters. I was convinced that my dad had done it too, which made me cry more when he came back home with a deer in his truck bed. Talk about childhood traumas.
  13.
Just out of interest... What power are they intending to hand over? Last time I checked America was having a hell of a time holding their own let a lone asserting complete control over the country. And if what ever power America has is handed over what will Iraq use to hold together and enforce it? Then once you've handed over that kettle of fish you come up to the blank wall that is an agreement where as the Americans have full control of the Iraqis police and army that was handed over by the transitional government a while ago. They are not a sovereign country and even after this 'hand over' takes place they still will not control their own country. Welcome to the mess Bush has got us all in.
Dammed if I know what power we're handing back to them. As far as I'm concerned the Coalition troops could all come home and somehow Iraq could sink into the Persian Gulf. I know that's not the most mature take on this matter, but it's the best I could come up with on such short notice. As far as I can tell, what the military means by handing the country over to the Iraqis is that there's less chance of the tours being extended indefinately and maybe they can all get home early (with my husband's unit it could be February instead of March) The thing the people in charge should be worried about is what Cloricus brought up which is: they don't seem to have a handle on their country. This could go one of two ways: America pre 1789 or what brought Afghanistan to the lovely mess that allowed Al Queda to take over. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but right now i think these guys have more of a chance of becoming Afghanistan at the moment and we'll be back in another 11 years or so because this can of worms just won't quit. So I'm pessimistic. As for the whole Bush mess. Kerry isn't all that better, right now all he's coming off as is a Bush basher. While that may be all well and good for people on the street who aren't trying to run for office do that, a person tring to get into the office of President should actually have more about him than kicking up dirt on the competition. As it stands now I may as well follow what someone else I know is doing and vote for Nader. Hell, maybe he could put some light on the subject
  14. What should we do in Iraq? I almost wish I was running for president now because I have some ideas-and keeping a majority of our armed forces over there isn't one of them I think they should definately hand over the power to the Iraqi people at the end of next month as planned. (I also think they should stop blowing up things like people, and cars and mail trucks. That last one won't be on the news, but I heard from my husband today that they blew up a mail truck. Thing is, Iraqi civilians drive the mail trucks to the bases, but now I'm on a tangent) However instead of keeping a large ammount of our military personnel over there purhaps the US should try what they've done in other countries after wars and set up small bases in the area. They could keep a speed bumps worth of troops over there for peace keeping purposes, but as in say: South Korea the countries laws and police would run the country not the occupying forces. The troops would be on year long tours. As for the next presidental candidate. I'm still a bit undecided. I hope that will change by November and I won't be pursuded to vote Bush. I had this conversation with my mama (mom's mom, not the ultra conservative Catholic who thinks homosexuals are sinners and Bush is so great , but the moderate Catholic who believes that everyone has a right to their opinion and thinks Bush is an idjit) on Wednesday. She was saying originally most peopel during a war will reelect the president who's been leading them through the war. She also said that in the beginning of all this it looks like most people may vote for Bush because of the fact they know where he stands and they know what to expect. Of course with that in mind that could be a bit of a detrant. I mean if you look at what he's done with the economy and the budget in four years, just immagine what he'll do in eight! I really wish I knew more about where Kerry stands on issues like economy and the whole 'War on Terror' issue. What would he do about the troops in Iraq? WHat will he do to get the economy back on track? Nevermind the fact about birth control, same sex marriages and abortion. I know the saying is 'You don't trade the devil you know for the devil you don't." But what if the devil you know is leading you down a road to ruin and the devil you don't know could help you out? That's something to consider.
  15. I really really hated school, but i did have some pretty cool teachers that made me not want to jump out the 3rd story window. Third Grade Ms. Rosica- She had us raise ducks in class. Told stories about how she used to get into fights when she was younger. Let one of us do the religion class for the beginning of the day. Plus we also got to do all sorts of fun thinks like two recesses and better school projects. She was the first teacher I actually liked. US History-11th Grade- Mr.HOwlet-He was the track coach for the school, but never showed favor to the jocks over everyone else. I did pretty well in the class. Most memorable moment in class tho was our last day before Winter Break (Christmas break ect) we were watching teh Wizard of OZ to demonstrate the Gold standard and this kid starts being goofy so Mr. Howlet picked him up and spun him over his head. My brother had him as well. His friend Will was in the class too and I guess on the first day Mr. Howlet said: 'You can ask me anything you want' and Will asks. 'Do you like men.' He replies: 'Not the same way you do Will. Next.' Chemistry/Biology 11th and 12th grade- Mr.Mislovechec AKA Mr.M-I sucked in Chemistry and I also had him for summer school. He demonstrated acetone by taking my nail polish remover, pouring it on a dollar bill and setting it on fire to show that the $1.00 wouldn't burn. Then he gave me the $1.00 in replacement for my nail polish remover. Not bad I think I made a bit of a profit that day because the nail polish remover was only $.89 plus tax. Biology. He had stories about his part time job as a animal control guy and liked to tell his students about how he fell off the roof of someone's house, missed the driveway by 1/2 an inch and was in a coma for 3 days. In both classes he managed to electrocute himself atleast once a quarter. It was funny.
  16.
Toby Keith... Can you really call yourself an American and not support the avid defense of our nation? Your treading thin ice there.
I'm busy supporting the soldiers. I have never supported this war. To me Toby Keith lacks credibility because how are you supposed to teach tolerance when some redneck has to make a song about violence being the American way? It's like when a friend and I were driving around the weekend after 9/11 and saw some knuckleheaded redneck (western NY has them people) driving around in his pick up sporting a large peice of ply-wood with death to the towel heads on it. It really makes you fear for the future of our country when you've got people in positions of influence singing about seeking revenge. As for the fact that I can't myself an American and you say I'm treading on thin ice because I don't like a song? I believe I told you this before- stop being so shallow brained and grow up. Back to topic Another good band who nobody's mentioned yet: They Might Be Giants or TMBG. I guess I can add them to my favorites list since I've burned so many of their songs onto CDs even if I don't own any of them (any more because my brother thought that flood and severe tire damage made great frisbees :flaming: ) Their songs usually sound very upbeat even if there are hidden meanings behind some of them that are more depressing than need be. One of my favorites is Istanbul-NOT Constantinople. I got bored once at work and started singing it out loud. Luckily it was late so people understood. Also You're not the boss of me now. My husband manages to turn it into I'm gonna poke the cheebs (his nickname for me) now and pokes at me, but the song is still cute.
  17.
And because the thread wouldn't be complete if I didn't argue with somebody....
Always a pleasure, but I don't think this is an argument-Just a statement
Yet she publically retracted her statements from London, which is why I don't respect her opinion. I don't care what you say about who, really; celebrities getting political is nothing new. What I really must insist on is that you stand by[/i'] what you say, which she did not.
It's amazing what a person will do when their record sales are in jeopardy huh? Personally I was just impressed that a Texan said something negative against Bush never mind that she took it back. Of course, the fact that she took it back shows Natalie Maines is more concerned with profit that politics. Too bad Toby Keith or Kenny Chesney (who ever sang that stupid red white and blue song) can't leave politics out of songs.
Sometimes it's hard to be a consrvative who likes punk and alternative bands.
It's also hard to be a liberal who likes country music, shops at American Eagle and practices Wicca. Some country music is so full of religion (Long Black Train anyone?) it gets on my nerves, but aside from that I enjoy it. So I feel your pain, I guess. And I'll still support your campaign Now back to the topic.
  18. I also had Rainbow bright and the Color Kids with Barbie. I think I got bored one day and in order to annoy La La Orange I paired my brunette barbie ( I think I called her Samantha or something) With Red Butler. Oh if I did that today it would be such a JErry Episode. QA you gave me a great idea, I think I might buy a few dolls for my daughter to play with when she gets older. The Malibu ones look so cute and I really do like the clothes. Thanks. And Mal- I used to rip off my barbie's heads so they could go 'swimming' because my brother has a blue rug in his bedroom. Or my friend and I would rip their heads off to 'swim' in her plastic beach. Of course, I could never get barbie's head back on so I bugged my mom until she'd put it back on. Fair warning-repeatedly having to put heads back on 14 or so Barbies can get annoying after a while.
  19. I don't know why, maybe it's the fact that I'm going to have a girl that brought up this subject, but does anyone have any good Barbie stories? Or anything to that affect. The stranger the better I had a strange childhood with a lot of Barbies and just two Kens, so maybe you could say that Ken had a bit of a promiscuity problem. He ended up going to psychologist Barbie for that one. My brother had Ninja Turtles and I had a strange immagination so Barbie (can't remember what I called this one, but I know I cut her hair into a mullet so it was either the blond with the mullet or the redhead -who went between Jennifer and Jessica- who was the teacher) taught Maimed and headless ninja turtles. Oh, I didn't mention that my brother used to take his Ninja Turtles apart and place parts on other turtles. I kept losing the shoes, so none of my Barbies had shoes. To add to the fact that Ken only had a bathingsuit and Barbie had tons of clothes well...Ken ended up cross dressing a few times. Does that make sense? BArbie also had a bit of a temper and she ran over other dolls with the BArbie Corvette and if that couldn't be found-one of my mom's shoes  Well, I shared how immaginative my childhood was with BArbie, what about the rest of you?
  20. ...the three saddest songs you've ever heard. The title says it all, What are three songs you've heard and made you cry? Or are so sad when you get some of your moods you skip them completely? What are they and why? My three picks: 1.) Dixie Chicks-Travelin' Soldier- I cried the first time I heard this song. I tried to explain to Lincoln how sad it was, but he was upset that he was lost in Watertown. Then the second time I listened to it I cried again. After that I started skipping the thrid track on the Home CD for a while. Not because I didn't like the song, but because it was just so touching. This kid who doesn't have a family goes to Vietnam and dies and nobody but a young girl he met before he left is there to morn him. Excuse me, i need a tissue. 2.) Reba McIntyre-Forever Love-It may not be the song, but the way they did the pictures when I saw her in concert back in August 2001. They had these large screens with footage of families reuniting and at the end there was a picture of this guy standing at the Vietnam Memorial with his head down. That could be why I cried when I heard it the next few times. 3.) Tim McGraw-Don't take the Girl- Starts out like any average country song. A boy is going fishing with his dad and his dad invites this neighborhood girl to go along and the boy doesn't want her to come. In the end the girl dies in childbirth. Okay, there's mine, Funny coincidence that they're all country ne?
  21. Okay let's see if I get the jist of this thread. List your top five favorite bands and explain why. then list your favorite songs and explain why? Did I get that right or am I just guessing? Well, anyway, let me try even if I screw up royaly. five favorite bands in no real order: 1.) Dixie Chicks- One of my favorite country bands of all time. I don't even skip around on the songs on their CDs and I do that a lot lately. Plus, Natalie Maines doesn't like Bush so there's another plus. 2.) Fleetwood Mac- A person can never go wrong with a classic band like Fleetwood mac. Especially when you stake the CDs from your husband to make yourself feel better. 3.) New Found Glory- Happy punk, You can never go wrong with happy punk. Fien if now the happy punk is also mainstream and kids who are like well I heard then on the radio. So, I heard then at RIT and I have their first CD Nothing Golden can stay. 4.) Ataris-More happy punk. And they're still not on the radio. Oh well. I escpecially liked the name of their debut Album-look forward to disaster. 5.) SheDaisy-Another all girl country band. I didn't really like their second CD as much as the first, but still... I like the band. Anytime a band can make a song about knocking off a cheating or abusive spouse sound good, it's a plus for me. Five favorite songs from these bands or others: (note: album listed before song) Dixie Chicks 1.) Fly-Good-bye Earl- This song made me crack up at the site of Black eyed peas and I don't feel like explaining myself for that. I play this track to annoy my husband (his middle name is Earl) or when my friends and I want to be strange. 2.) Wide Open Spaces-Am I the only one- This was never released as a single, but I can't help but love it. The song's Tempo is very up beat, but she's singing about being hurt so many times. Confusion is fun. 3.) Fly-Sin Wagon-Just one thing. How can you not love a song called Sin wagon? 4.) Home-God Speed Sweet Dreams-It's such a sweet song, it reminds me of a lullaby and puts me in a good mood. Okay sometimes it makes me sleepy, but can you blame me? 5.) Home- Landslide It's a remake of a Fleetwood Mac song (Stevie Nicks) and It was well done. New Found Glory 1.) New Found Glory-So sorry So- First song I heard from them on the radio. I had picked up the CD from Target for $8.00 because they were being called a new band and suddenly I'm listening to the Zone and Poof, here they are. 2.) Catalyst-Its all downhill from here-First song on their new CD also the first single. very catchy 3.) Sticks and stones- My friends over you- Such a true statement. I think. 4.) Sticks and stones-Head on collision- I think it's a break up song, but I've never been sure. 5.) Sticks and Stones- Belated- Very sweet. SheDaisy 1.) The whole SheBang-Little Good-byes- The song is about this woman who's leaving her man and all through the song she lists what she left behind like the litter box, the VCR and the mess from her sandwhich. 2.) The whole Shebang- Lucky for you- A song about this girl who runs into her ex and I guess he made comments on how she has too many personalities, so there was a song about that and what every personality wanted to do to him  3.) The whole SheBang-Night to remember- The wife finds out her husband is cheating. They go out for their anniversary and she drives their car off a cliff at the end. :flaming: 4.) Knock on the sky- Get over yourself- For some reason this song reminds me of bi-sexual vampire girl because she would never leave me alone. Lucky for me she never actually kissed me :p 5.) Knock on the Sky- I wish I was the rain- Very nice song. The last five are miscelanious If I could spell miscelanious: (note: Band-Album (if I can remember it) Song) 1.) Ataris-So LOng Astoria- Boys of Summer-Remake of Don Henley's Boys of Summer. This song is special to me because Lincoln learned to play it on his bass for me and it's one of the few songs i can get him to sing. Also the line About: "But baby when I get you back. I'm gonna show you what I'm made of. Sticks in my head. 2.) Fuel-Natural Selection-Cry Like This- Really nice song that I'm trying to put into a fanfic. 3.) Stevie Nicks & (anyone know who?)- (can't find the CD)- Leather and Lace- I danced to this song at my wedding. I thought it was really pretty 4.) Social Distortion-{don't know)-Story of my life- Entertaining. I heard it on Life or something like it and really liked the song. 5.) They Might Be Giants-Flood-Particle Man- This is actually a song about a guy who is depressed all they time and a bully. Still it's cute. Well I guess that's my incomplete screwed up list and I think I may have gotten teh band and the song wrong on one of them. Enjoy
  22. MOre ways to tell you're easily amused: 1.) You break out in psychotic laughter when someone begins explaining insurance payments. I had to put this one down for my mom because she did that tonight. 2.) You could sit for hours watching your brother's dog and your cat play with eachother. Of course this doesn't last for hours only a few minutes so alas, you have to find newer methods of amusement. 3.) The word 'begonia' makes you crack up and you don't know why. I think it might stem from the game 'begonia' where you replace a name in the title of a book, song or movie with begonia. Example-Wide open spaces becomes Wide open Begonias and Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone can become Harry potter and the sorcerer's begonia 4.) You have long conversations with your husband or other friends about what could happen if your ultra conservative grandma met his Lesbian aunt and her partner. Lincoln wanted to dress in drag and watch the show by the way. 5.) You enjoy reading lists like this 6.) You enjoy making lists like this 7.) You once made a notebook full of You know you watch too much Sailor Moon when... and it got up to 709 before you gave it to a friend. 8.) You go out and dance in the rain 9.) When you're bored and broke, nothing brightens your day like watching pro wrestling and doing voice overs for all the people in the ring. Those who dissagree should try this. 10.) You like to play in the mud- and you're over five years of age.
  23. I am blessed with the coordination of a drunk blind woman so to do anything more than walk and talk at the same time is beyond my brain's understanding. That said, I don't dance in public, let alone break dance. However I do like to watch people try it since it's something I can't do and aren't we always amused and intrigued by things we can't do but other people can?
  24. I messed what I said up in my last post. However, I'm too lazy to redo the whole post, so let me do this instead. I didn't mean ammendment, I worded my sentence wrong. Back in 1986 the federal appeals court ruled that Wicca is a legal religion which means that Wicca is protected by the constitution. I couldn't find the article on where Bush had made the comment about the military allowing pagans to worship, but I know he did say something about it. I'm sorry, but I just don't trust the guy. I trust him even less than I trust most politicians for that matter. He's too-how can I say this without sounding like I'm bashing Christianity?-too much of a bible beater. The funniest thing about the Bible and Same sex marriages is that the bible (In my opinion, for all I know I could be wrong since I'm not a Theology student) actually just means that men shouldn't sleep with other men since basically that's spilling teh seed. It says nothing about women sleeping with women. However, if you really want to get into how the purpose of marriage is to produce children then my parents have obviously not done their duty in getting married since my brother and I are adopted. I know of other people who never plan on having kids even though they're married or may be married again. Does that mean that people who don't intend to have children shouldn't be allowed to be married since they won't reproduce? And what about abortion? Bush is very strongly pro-life, I don't know Kerry's actual opinion on the subject. Bush has already signed a law prohibiting partial birth abortions. I honestly have no problem with that. In fact I think a partial birth abortion is cruel since you're already in the process of giving birth. Why not just give the child up for adoption? El knows there are pleanty of people who can't have children who would be willing to adopt. But Bush seems determined to over turn Roe vs Wade and as a woman and some one who is very strongly pro choice that worries me. The government has no place in the bedrooms of the people it governs. Or for that matter the faith of the people it governs. However, this administration doesn't seem to grasp that concept and is constantly trying to maintain a strictly monotheistic conservative point of veiw and impose it on the entire population reguardless of anyone's opinion. Well, I've added my thoughts for the evening. Take them as you will.

    Hip Hop

I usually don't listen to much Hip hop or rap since that's all my brother will listen to and I like to annoy him. However, some cds have slipped into my collection and I will admit to listening to some of his stuff. Big L is decent, I don't know the name of any of his songs, but my brother has played him while I was in his car. I used to listen to TLC when they were around, I even have Fan Mail and the one that came out in '93 (can't think of the name.) I liked Salt n Pepa too, but maybe I should get out of the 90's. Also Eve and Jay-Z, courtesy of my husband. I've been listening to some reggae as well thanks to my brother. Some of the best stuff he has is the free style rap and the bootleg stuff he buys at this one store along with his clothes. Still my music tastes tend more towards country, alternative and some punk music.
