How about none of the above? I'd puke on Brittany and I just have no desire to meet the rest of them I wouldn't mind meeting SHania Twain or the Guys from Good Charlotte (I listened to them before Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and think one of their best songs was East Coast Anthem.) I think GC is a really great band, one of the first happy punk bands I was introduced to. And I saw them play at RIT so I would defiantely like to talk to them. As for Shania Twain. She's a real sweetie. I know someone who met her. She's a talented singer and just plain rocks like you wouldn't believe. I have her CDs too. But hey, if you want to meet Brittany, that's your anurism, not mine. To each their own, just don't drag me along.

I keep going thru this in my head of every movie I want to see before my husband goes back to TX and I realize it just can't be done because of money . So I guess I'll just settle with Mona Lisa Smile staring Julia Roberts and LOTR staring the scrumpilitious Orlando Bloom. Now, out of curiousity, what do you want to see over winter break or whatever you call it?

That doesn't say much for me. My husband fell asleep during Speed and a battle buddy of his fell asleep during How the Grinch Stole Christmas. However, with movies like Mona Lisa Smile and LOTR Return of the King coming out. I think I'll wait until it comes out on video. as for garbage, Scary Movie 3. That movie made me want to gouge my eyes out with a straw.

Okay, now I can't wait to see it since you all seemed to like it so much. And I can sit for 3 hrs. I may wait until after Christmas tho because the first few days will probably have all the people who dress up for this sort of thing. *shrugs* I can't wait to see the costumes again. That's always my favorite part of movies. What they dress the characters in.

When I was younger I had the fortune, or maybe curse, of being called Purple People Eater by my 2nd cousin. It was either because I liked the color purple or because my mom always dressed me in purple. It couldn't be because I like purple, who could get that crazy idea? I'm also now officially going as Chibi where I'm known as Chibi Horsewoman.

I got a USED crockpot for Yule last year from my mother-in-law. I don't know if that's bizarre or unsanitary tho. One year my mom gave my papa an inflatable fish for Christmas since he never catches anything when he does fish. And one year my cousin got a build a boyfriend kit in the CHristmas Eve grab bag.

If I had cared enough about remembering my high school. The ring would've had 19 on one side and 99 on the other. Goddess knows what I would've put on it. Probably could've gotten the show jumper and my birthstone. But I needed that money for my dress, so i got the $250.00 dress instead of the $130.00 ring and never looked back. Of course, now I have five years until my ten year reunion and a really hot guy as my husband  , so I can't wait. My mom has her class ring tho. It has the school crest on the top, 19 on one side and 71 on the other. My dad doesn't have a class ring, but he does have his USAF ring.
Originally posted by Bloodsin Getting Saddam does nothing. He was never a real threat to begin with. OMG! He's a third world leader with a hand full of tanks and few soldiers! The thing that pisses me off is the fact that Bush stood up and preached how freedom is "A god given right" while he refuses to help Taiwan with their independence.
If he wasn't a real threat young padawan, then who do you consider a real threat? No, I'm not being sarcastic, I'm serious. True, he may not have been an immidiate threat to our nation, but this man was as bad, if not worse, than Hitler and Stalin. He gassed his own people. Kidnapped and raped women. What was to keep him from finding a way to do the same to other nations? Oh wait...he did do the same thing to another nation. Or maybe you're too young to remember Desert Storm and Desert Sheild? If that's the case, I can understand. As for the remark about the handfull of tanks and soldiers I believe it's been proven on the news that this man didn't need tanks and soldiers to fight against the coalition troops. All he needed was Malotove Cocktails and a bunch of Bath party loyalists and other people who just plain don't like Western influence (or invaders if you want). A few mined children thrown at soldiers, and we've got ourselves another Vietnam. Of course, I don't know why I'm explaining this to you. All you're going to do is come back with some half baked retailiation, but hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion. I'm still on the fence about this whole mess we're in. As shown, the troops over there are still facing deadly opposition, but perhaps we're making some small headways here and there. Oh yeah, New Flash Sadam is starting to be a bit of a problem captive. But what did you expect once the guns were pointed away from his head? Maybe 4th ID can get some of their helicopter maintenence over there and threaten him with screw drivers for cooperation? One battle won, but the war is far from over. Chibi Horsewoman.

Oh, the legality (or lack thereof)!
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Shinken's topic in General Discussion
Okay, so people are stupid. I doubt that's a newsworthy story. As for the GOD flag hey,. as long as they make a goddess flag for the rest of us so they can hang togther, what's the problem? I di find it interesting that Santa Clause is another tool of the devil tho. I mean it's soo obvious, if you rearrange the letters in Santa you get SATAN! Wake up people, the devil is tricking you! Oh, and I hope nobody takes me seriously in that last sentence because I sure didn't. The point's been made, nobody made you visit the site. No as for those Mall converters-I'll be wearing a t-shirt with the words-Hell on Heels. Come and get it! Okay, time for Leno! -
I too thought Nanami was a bit... over the top if you will. Maybe she should lay off the caffine? It couldn't hurt, could it? I also thought she had a bit of a thing for Utena. (Of course I also though the Aspargus liked the Tomato in VegiTales, so you may not want my theories) I think Anthy needs some self esteem classes, but that little mouse thing is so Kawaii! The curry episode was damn hilarious in the manga BTW. I saw the movie too. I can't say I understood it tho, but I definately saw it. I think anthy was the one with the long purple hair in the movie. Oh, who's the girl who's like an uber beyotch and loves her brother more than what's healthy?
Originally posted by Baron Samedi New information for you all. Troops were about the throw a grenade into the spiderhole when he came out, surrendered and told them who he was. So, I think that while the coward label is slightly accurate, he also may have done the most sensible thing. What kind of martyr would he have been if he had been killed, and nobody ever knew that it was him? I never knew that he was armed James... I didn't hear about that. Anyway, they were about to blow his little spiderhole sky-high. So can you blame him for giving up? Sure he was a hypocrite, and a liar [among other things] but I don't really think you can call him cowardly. I coward would have given up as soon as the US threatened to invade. BTW, I do remember Cloricus's old avatar. But what does that have to do with anything? Accept other people's viewpoints [All of you] and move on. If it had truly been offensive, it would have been removed, but I think the general OB popualce accepted it as it was meant - light heartedly. And believe me, a lot of people felt that way, that Bush was an uinfair aggressor. I don't know the American viewpoint, but this is how lots of people over here saw it, anyway.
I do agree, he is a coward and a liar. Along with quite a few other things that are completely irrelevent to this post. I did hear this morning that 4thID troops (out of FT.Hood!) were about to throw a grenade into his spider hole before he came out with his hands in the air so to speak. I also notice that the violence hasn't stopped even with Sadm's capture. There was another car bomb that killed 9 people so, we've still got work to do (we meaning any involved forces, not just the American troops). As demonstrated, this war is far from over and I hope people will realize that. As for Cloricus's old avatare, I thought it was funny. I saw the same saying on a bumpersticker last week. So obviously, it's not just CLoricus who feels this way. I have no clue what relevence it has in this post or in others, but hey. Yes, I am an eternal pessimist where this war is concerned. We shouldn't have gotten ourselves so deeply involved in this country while we still have troops in Afghanistan as well. This country was spread too thin already, but I'm not the Major General of any military branch in the United States so what I say here is just my opinion. Debate it if you must, but I won't change it. In my humble opinion, the military personal stationed there should try to teach the Iraqi people military and governing skills as quickly as possible then move out. Our soldiers (of any country) don't need to be over there any longer than absolutely necessary. And since this war was officially declared over in May 2003. there is no need to enact the stoploss (need to know what a stoploss is, PM me I can explain most military stuff) any more so the troops whose ETS dates are coming up shouldn't be made to stay past those. I understand that this is a war and that people get killed in wars. I just don't see the need to over stay our welcome which we obviously have. SIncerly, Chibi Horsewoman
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel DC is responsible for the Green Lantern, not Marvel. I suppose it doesn't affect the point you're making though heh.
No, my point was that no matter what the author puts into the story, it can always be turned around, adjusted and rearranged to make a movie. Either way I already admited I didn't know much about comics, for all I know, Kodansha LTD owns Justice League and Sundance TV makes the cartoon. Still, I'm glad someone understood what I was trying to say.
Originally posted by outlawstar69 Meh... I'm not christain, so I don't celebrate christmas. In Islam you're not supposed to celebrate anything not already put down as a holiday before (I think this means religious holidays, so that the religion doesn't get changed or anything). We recently finished Ramadan, which is a month long time of fasting during daylight hours. Eid Al-Fitr was right after that (to celebrate Ramadan being over, I think). So right now everyone around me is celebrating christmas, or gearing up for it. I'm kinda feeling left out, but only because we don't live near any muslim communities to celebrate the holidays we have with them. But I have fun with my family during those times at any rate.
Keh, I think my best friend can relate to this. She's Eastern Orthodox and they don't celebrate Christmas until April. My husband is another case, he celebrates Yule, which is held on the Winter Solstice-the longest night of the year. I don't know much else about it except it celebrates the rebirth of the Horned one coming back into the world. Out of curiosity, what are Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr about?

This is a victory for the soldiers stationed in Iraq and the Iraqi people. I saw this @ 8:30 AM EST. And I'm happy about it. However, I'm also rather pessimistic about the whole outcome. Yes, we've finally caught Sadam, but now what? We can't send everyone home and let the fledgeling government rule themselves can we? Maybe we could, but how good would that look on our war resume's? THe way I see it is we've won another battle, but the end of the war is a long way off. Curious as to why I'm such a pessimist? My husband has to go over there in March and won't come home until 2005. I know he'll have that year long tour of duty reguardless of what happened today. So while I'm happy that we've finally caught Sadam, I still hope and pray that there's soem way we can finish this soon
Originally posted by Shy To be honest, I find "white" Green Lanterns to be pretty generic. I have too many bad memories from "Super Friends" where a Caucasian Green Lantern would defeat the Joker by creating a giant fly swatter or something. -Shy
Completely off topic, but...I was watching and old episode of Batman and Robin and Batman defeated a giant fly with something called a Bat-flyswatter. I almost forgot about it until I read this post. *dies from laughter* *is reborn*I'm not a big Justice League person, infact, I'm not a big comic book person in general. I think Marvel is just trying to cash in on the same fame that X-men 1 and 2 brought them by coming out with more comic books turned movies. As for race changes-in DareDevil Kingpin was originally a white man, but the casting director (or whomever) couldn't find a white guy who was intimidating enough to play the part. So how's that for logic?

I haven't seen too many of the episodes. But I have read two of the manga and watched the movie. I think Utena is a very strong individual. She fights for what she believes in (this is of course only said by a person who hasn't seen much of the animation). I have indeed noticed most of what you said dealing with the relationships. Utena and Anthy obviously have something going one and then there's the whole deal with that girl and her brother. (sorry, I can't think of names) That is a bit disturbing. My favorite scene is where Utena
faces Touga (is that right?) with a bamboo practice sword and he has a real sword. However, she knocks his rose out of his collar and wins the duel.
And, incase you really cared, I would let my kids watch it. Of course, I'd wait until they were atleast 9. But I think they can handle same sex relationships. editSome day I too shall learn to spel

The 'Sex Bracelet' Controversy?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Queen Asuka's topic in General Discussion
This is utter madnes. I agree with Katana, what 4th grader would know so much about sex that they'd actually want to do something like that. The average person doesn't even begin to reach puberty until 11 or twelve in the first place and if a 6th grader ends up trying to do the nasty-well, I think the parent should want to re-evalute their child rearing practices instead of blaming the school. Or in this case, pop-culture. The next thing you know there will be some sort of secret code with lunch bags: If you have a Pikachu lunch bag you're full of static electricity and someone has to 'rub' you to release it Barbie lunch bag-You want someone to undress you and make you do their bidding. Strawberry shortcake-You need something popped and so on and so forth. Honestly, some people will do anything for attention, even used bracelets. -

On the other hand, my husband has a tattoo of a girl shooting a teddybear in the same place I have mine and he had to take a break from his because it hurt so bad.
