As for myself, I don't think that capital punishment is necessary in every situation. Of course, if you brutally murder somebody, yes kill the guy. I think they should bring back stocks and other forms of public humiliation as consequence to some less serious crimes. And if you get convicted for something worse than stealing or breaking an entry, they should cut off a finger or brand you. Yes, I'm a very nasty person right now. I think child molesters and rapists should definately have their thumbs cut off then get branded with an R or an M. These people get off way too easily.

KEh, I have quite a few. My real name is Megan so I;ve been called: Meg Meggy Mega-bug Nutmeg. Then there's my pen name and user name: Chibi Horsewoman. The origin of this is simple- I'm short (according to my husband) and I ride horses. Hence, Chibi Horsewoman. Oh, speaking of my husband-he calls me Cheebs. This is the whole story: Chibi is the Japanese word for short, but calling someone CHibi all the time will drive them to kill you. However Cheebs sounds cute, at least to its creater. Nobody but Lincoln is allowed to call me Cheebs under penalty of death.

(okay, in a manner of speaking, 3 trillion cells failing to function is basically a misscarriage) I went thru one of those back in October-those cramps really sucked. I didn't enjoy the event, but needless to say I've been able to carry on with my life. I'm a lot more careful with taking care of myself (and taking my damn pill). There is nothing to show that there was a baby, and nobody really misses it because I was only two months along. So yes, I could get along without it. MA KO's Ban on Gay marriages
ChibiHorsewoman replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by Drix D'Zanth As for marriage.. we must recognize it as the religious practice it is. The Bible is against homosexuality (do I really need to post verses? I?d hope we all agree on this one). Matrimony is fundamentally religion based? so by definition gay?s cannot be married or the religious institution defies its own philosophy. *shrug* If you think you are married, I don?t care. It worries me when churches are pressured or almost forced into allowing the marriage of Gays or Lesbians. That?s my problem with that issue.
Okay, so the Bible doesn't recognize it. Maybe these same sex couples don't want a church wedding. What about a Justice of the peace or a handfasting(wiccan wedding ceromony) THere is a thing called Separation of Church and State which basically means that Religion should keeps it's nose from government affairs. This hasn't happened yet, but one can hope. For the time being, let them get married outside of the church but recognize it. A hundred years in the future they can have a Vatican 50 and discuss women being priests and Gay marriages. The Bible may be against the act, but how do we know that when someone wrote Do not lie with another man as you would a woman, they weren't talking about women? You're just assuming that only Christian same sex couples want to get married.
The government , historically, has created benefits for family environments for married couples. They are supporting a religious event in marriage. If homosexuality is contradictory to the religious event, then why do homosexuals even want the holy matrimony? *shrug*
As I stated before, this makes assumption that there are only Christian same sex couples who wish to be married and have their unions recognized. What about the pagan same sex couples and those who don't believe in any religion? Don't they have a right to get married? Or is Christian marriage the only union allowed to be recognized?
Overall, I just see this as a moral decline. If we continue to let the structure of our morals slip into permeated relativity, where everyone can have their "personal truth", we lose sight of an absolute truth that holds civilization and law together in the first place.
I see stupidity and ignorance a moral decline, but apparantly, this doesn't effect people. However, homosexuality does, Go figure. You can have Drugs, pornography, and violence, no problem, but add homosexuality and suddenly moral decline. Please, I'm sick of people who decide alternative lifestyles and religions lead to moral decline.
Ex: I want to now marry a donkey. I have a right to marry this donkey, and I believe this donkey loves me and I love it. You are prejudice against me if you say I can?t because our love is true. No, we can?t have children. No, this isn?t natural. I don?t care. My donkey and I demand that we are recognized, and our proud of our bestiality! How can you argue against bestiality if you argue for homosexuality? Having sex with a donkey and having sex with the same gender isn?t any less "unnatural". They both aren?t supposed to happen. It?s natural or unnatural , no gray area in this instance.
I believe I had this same discussion with Bloodsin. Beastiality is completely different from homosexuality and heterosexuality. It's like this. THe donkey can't love you. Yes, you can both be jackasses together (no pun intended), but the donkey can't reciprocate your love no matter how hard he tries. The Donkey has no rights. You are basically abusing this donkey for sexual gratifictation. However, my husband's aunt and her partner love eachother. They can reciprocate eachother's love. And they raised my husband for a while. Neither one of these ladies is using the other. You using a computer isn't natural. Driving a car isn't natural neither is getting immunizations. But you do them anyway. If someone came up with a law that said you couldn't use a computer because it's not natural, I'm sure you'd be quite pissed off. Now take that feeling and pretend that the situation is that you and some girl you love can't get married because of some stupid reason. Let's take religion as an example. Let's say for arguments sake that you're Baptist and she's Seventh Day Adventest and the law says that Baptists can't marry 7th Day Adventists. And then, say that neither one of you is willing to change your religion. It sounds pretty bad, doesn't it? It gets worse.
If you are going to practice homosexuality.. please keep it to your personal life, behind closed doors.
Okay, if I was a homosexual, I would practice behind closed doors (I'm married to a really hot guy, so I can't), but only if you'd practice your religion behind closed doors. Yes, simpole as that. You ask people to practice their beliefs behind closed doors, you must do the same thing. It's only fair, right? You don't want to know their sexual orientation and they certainly don't want to know your religious affiliation. To be quite frank, I think you are a homophobe. It's just worse becuase you can't admit to it. -
Originally posted by Dan L Men and women are different, they work in different ways. They complement each other. According to the Bible, the man is to be the head. That doesn't mean men are better, it just means they tend to take the lead a lot of the time. But in all fairness, there are equally times when a man needs to submit to the woman. Being "the head" of a relationship is just a general thing, not an "in all situations no matter what" kind of thing.
I think it was put very nicely in the Bible ( I don't remember the chapter, Genisis maybe?) God Made Eve a Helpmate for Adam. Meaning that God himself (if you have a Christian perspective)made Man and Woman equal in His image. I also like how it was put in My Big Fat Greek Wedding-THe man is the head, but the woman is the neck. And we can turn it whichever way we please. Which makes me wonder who turns the head in a same sex relationship. Of course, that's off topic. It's been found that women do figure out things beter than men, yet men are stronger. But we have better memories. Just ask my husband. Okay, there's my say.

The Catholic Church = The Whore of Babylon?
ChibiHorsewoman replied to a topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by Bloodsin A good friend from a different site pointed this out. I thought It'd be cool to disscuss this. Consider these(The following verses are from Revelations); The great whore is going to be judged... Fornication signifies that it is a religious entity that claims to be Christian. A religious entity that is in partnership with secular rulers instead of apart from them. Catholicism satisfies this. Throughout her existence, she has partnered with secular governments to convert people to Catholicism by force, even killing those who would not convert and claiming their possessions for the church. Rome sits on seven hills. Even Catholic apologists refer to it as the city on seven hills. Purple and scarlet are the official colors of the Catholic church. Catholicism is also the world's wealthiest entity. There are storage places where the church literally stores rooms and rooms of gold, precious stones, and pearls. The golden cup represents the eucharist. It is filthy because the eucharist is an idol representing Jesus Christ. The fornication is the partnership with government to kill Bible believers that were martyred for rejecting it. Catholicism in its own writings calls the eucharist and many other things, mysteries. Catholicism has created incredible amounts of harlotry with its unscriptural celibacy. Homosexual, pedophile, fornicating priests. Places have been found with piles of aborted fetuses of nuns in them. Catholicism is also a divorce mill, gladly divorcing any couple under any circumstances. Instead it is called annulment, and said that a marriage never really happened. Catholicism then proudly proclaims its opposition to divorce and fornication. The list of abominations created by Catholicism is too numerous to mention here. Catholicism has martyred Bible believers for the entirety of its 1700 year existence. There is no salvation in the great whore. Again, Rome sits on seven hills. Even Catholic apologists refer to it as the city on seven hills. Rome had five forms of Roman government that had existed prior to when John prophesied of this great whore. The king that "is" is the existing Roman government of John's time. --- The AntiChrist. Rome has divided the world into 10 regions. The banking industry has adopted Rome's 10 world divisions. The power and rulers over these regions is a future event. --- These kings which will control the 10 regions of the world will fight against Christ. But Jesus will prevail and those that accepted His finished work for sin. --- 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Okay let's up and start a holy war on otaku boards  Great idea. Catholicism has been around for as long as the rest of Christianity. 2000+ years. Catholism is a sect of Christianity, the same as Wicca is a sect of paganism. ( I needed an analogy ppl!) This kind of talk is why the Catholics and the Protestants have been killing eachother in Ireland for so damn long! This is why some idiots decided to have an inquisition and a few Crusades. Of course there's corruption, there's corruption everywhere. Yes, you will find some really bad popes from the early centuries. If You read Royal Scandals, you'll hear quite a few. On the colors though, oh, let me do this. It's one of the few things I remember from being Catholic! Purple represents Lent and Advent in the Church. Scarlette is Pentacost (I think, this is the one I messed up on) In a sense, you may be able to say that Catholics are idolators. This has been said only because many Catholics pray to Saints along with praying to the Holy Trinity and the Holy Virgin MAry. Rest assured, they worship the same God that you do. My husband's friend put it this way-Catholics think God delegates. This man is a Baptist and we were talking religion because he was interested in ours and we were interested in his. The reason he said this is because we got to talking about saints. In conclusion, this is a load of crap in the three letter sense and I hope you and your friend realize this as well. -
Originally posted by Sara I suppose my favorite war movie would be The Sound of Music. Which might be an odd choice, but still. It's a theatrical classic-one of the first movies in color and it got banned in a few cities because of Clark Gable's line to Vivian Leigh at the end. You know-Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. Oh, and the fact that most of the movie also revolved around the Civil War (american) Like when Scarlette made the dress
out of her drapes and when she visited that hospital when Ashley (I think that's his name) got his leg amputated.
Oh, I had to watch Glory in my U.S. History class. It involved the battle of Anteitam and the first battalion of Black soldiers. Sound OF music was also a good movie. But I think it was centered prior to WW2. The best part was in the convent when the nuns go up to the reverand mother and say
Forgive us mother for we have sinned, then hold up the wheels to a car

I was born in 1981 year of the Double Metal Rooster. So maybe Metal is my favorite element But I was also Born on the 24th of July on a cusp so I'm a Cancer/Leo basically water and fire respectively. So maybe I either like waer or fire. However, My personality is mostly Leonine and firey, so I believe that it's fire, That said, I like to used a lot of fire in rituals, but I need to learn to calm down more, so maybe water would help. I do notice one thing, I bend too easily, so I lack wood in my character according to Chinese beliefs. Okay, I don't know, let's try the Sailor Senshi test. I like Sailor Jupiter. Her element is wood and earth,. there you have it. Unless you want to go by her BIrth sign, then it's fire. Dammit!

I'm just going to come right out and say it, I'm the biggest chicken that ever clucked. I prefer Comedy to horror any day, but as for action, I like action. Best action movie I've seen recently is The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan. Interesting and well done. I just wish my mom would've let me sit thru it w/o making me get up. Yes ppl I saw it on HBO Okay, best war movie? I really can't tell you since I've never seen a war movie, the best guess I can give is Pearl HArbor because I read the book. I find this better because you can stop reading and you don't hear people screaming. Of course the reading doesn't always help-I've read Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Meyers and one of the chapters really freaks me out, sometimes I skip thru it. Oh, off topic! Did anyone notice the patches on the soldiers BDU shirts in We Were Soldiers? Those are 1st Cav patches!

I'm definately going to end up seeing it. My husband gets up here on the 19th so it's pretty much a given. It's also pretty much a given that's it's going to be a bit bloody ne? I saw the Followship of the Rings with a friend of mine and had no problems. I saw THe Twin Towers with my husband and I hid my eyes in his shoulder for parts of it. Okay, so I get scared easily. I'm just glad that this one is coming out before he leaves for Iraq. Yep, I'm gonna go see this. Of course I have to admit I've never read any of the books:worried: *hides behind her giant snowman*
Originally posted by Cahoots34 Hm, I'm a bit skeptical. With about 4 series, 1 spinoff, and a plethora of movies to the Tenchi franchise, it's a bit questionable as to how far a series can expand without imploding. I'd much rather remeber the Tenchi series fondly as the slapstick sideshow that first hooked me onto anime, not a contrived, lamed excuse for a plot (and profit) continuation. What makes this new strain of Tenchi legend different from the countless others? That's what the true test will be.
What about SailorMoon? That show originaly aired in 1992 in Japan. The anime was a spin off from the Code Name Wa Sailor V manga writen by Naoko Takeuchi who saw the success of this manga and decided to expand it to SailorMoon. This show had five seasons. The first halves of two of the seasons were created by the people at TOEI animation so the manga could get ahead of the anime. The anime ended in 1997 (if I got that wrong let me know) with Sailor Stars. Within that time frame and still today there are live shows. Infact, a new live action TV show was just released in Japan back in September. Many people still watch the anime and read the manga, this brought a comeback. So who's to say that the Tenchi Muyo writers didn't see this and think they could do more? As for the manga, I haven't seen it yet (must go to Empire comics soon!), but if the No Need For Tenchi Manga was any indication, I know a soldier who's getting that in his care package. I loved Tenchi, I've seen all 3 movies and try really hard to watch whatever anime I have.

I think part of the reason things are criticized is becaue they're not understood. This goes for everything from Anime to eyebrow piercings. You can say all you want, but just try it first. On that note, I figured out how to raise kids without working-you know place them infront of the TV? I won't have to teach them about sex and violence either, just let them watch SamuraiX and LaBlue Girl. Yeah, like I'm serious.

MA KO's Ban on Gay marriages
ChibiHorsewoman replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by Bloodsin [BIf one says, homosexuality is a choice, and people should let gays marry, why can't humans and animals get married? Is that too not a choice? Should the government block that? Other people say it's in your DNA, That gay people are instinctively drawn to each other, if that is the case, can't it be stated that people can be instinctively drawn to animals? Some people think only the marriage between a man and a woman is "civil". People can't say a damn thing about people not agreeing gay shouldn't get married when they themselves are not for the union of other things. Bestiality is just an example. If all of you can't see through that, I'll need to water- down my statement. How about union of six people in marriage? Are you ok with that? If not then you can't justly be for gay marriages. What is it with you people and PMs?
Is that like the stupidity that's drawn to you? Because if that's the case maybe you can tell us more. Anyway, There are no government regulations on inter-species marriage because that's just utterly illogical. But then again, maybe logic just isn't for you? But let's get down to the best part of your post so I can go do something more important. THe whole six people in a marriage thing, that's called polygamy. Some cultures allow this some don't. I know of a guy who was stationed with my husband in Korea, this guy is planning on a wedding between himself, a woman he knows and a guy he knows. I wouldn't do it myself, but hey, you're welcome to all the confusion you want. That said, I guess I can still say I'm for gay marriages and not get lectured on not being for Smokey and yourself to get married. IF uh, that's what Smokey really wants. -

I vote we talk the Earth into eatting Bloodsin. On a much more mature level I don't think abortions should be so readily availble like one of the other members said infact, like i keep saying over and over. Abortion isn't a method of birth control, but I do think that if the baby has no chance of living a healthy life pr if the mother is in danger, the woman should be allowed to have one. Also if you just seriously weren't thinking you should be allowed one, but only one. I Also think that after an abortion they should give the woman-or sometimes the couple-free birth control and make them attend a class on safe sex, including how to use a condom-both male and female ones. I'm not saying that even safe sex will work to not get a woman pregnant, but any information helps. Hell, birth control pills don't work all the time-my bio teacher's wife got pregnant with 2 of their 4 kids when she was on the pill. -

Okay, so it's the only official RPG I've ever played, but let me explain why this would work. Masquerade is based in Modern times and with vampires. Therefore, you already have the medivel theme out of the way. Also there's action and stuff like that. Provided you have a good story teller/Game master you can get into all sorts of stuff. We ended up having Werewolves and someone who was trying to assasinate the prince when my husband had it going in our livingroom. There are also RPGs centered around movies an example I can use here is Star Wars because that's what my husband's gaming friend was going to do in his garage before 4th ID went to Iraq. I don't know much about it tho becuase they never got around to playing it. If you want to get to shoot at people on line try NEverWInter nights. -

Another guy I'd try my best to stay away from is Nakago from Fushigi Yugi. I don't really want to think about what he'd do to me, but I can pretty much guarantee that it wouldn't be kosher. Yeah, so I'm not jewish and so kosher really doesn't matter, but it matters to this girl! Oh, and Hiiro Yui. Sure, he's hot and Relena would probably commit herself, which are two very good pros, but he's so quiet. Not to mention that he carries a gun in his spandex shorts. I'd only date him if I could change his clothes. -
Have you Role Played Before?

Live action RPGs are refered to as larps. I know this because my husband tried to participate in one in Texas. I say tried because it was extremely badly run. Lincoln does way more role playing than I do, actually, anyone who's played more than once has done more than me. Well, unless you count when my friends and I would pretend to be reporters. We'd go outside in the winter and pretend to be at a ski resort. You know fun stuff like that. I forgot to mention my character from vampire the masquerade. I played a Brujah named Emilie. Coolest thing I did was diablorize my sire to move down a generation. Our friend Red would joke about the fact that my husband was the game master so I'd probably have it easy. Well, I didn't. And I got to beat on the C.F's character. Best thing about my character was that she was a real beyotch and it was expected of her. Some day I mean to scan the picture I drew of my character. I'll do it when it comes up here!
