MA KO's Ban on Gay marriages
Originally posted by Charles What rubbish. Perhaps ChibiHorsewoman should give you her paycheck out of pity so that you can buy a clue. You speak down to people as if you know what you're talking about. How dare you sit here and dehumanize the entire institution of marriage.
LMAO! I have to wonder if my $40.00 pay check will really cover the clue he needs to buy. He may have to borrow. Of course, since it's in writing and all, maybe I should do it out of the goodness of my heart.
Originally posted by Bloodsin I brought this idea to light so you can see that you can't rap on some one who doesn?t like gays(Which, in your opinion is in your DNA) while you rap on those who love animals(Which must be your DNA too, because apparently, in your opinion, DNA stores you likes and dislikes). I think both are wrong. But I also agree with Justin. He's everything I need to be. I'll take that paycheck now. I've got what you said in wrighting. Don't make me take you to court. I'm currently Blackmailing friends in high places. I'll win
First I think I should say a prayer for Justin (nice guy really, I've talked with him on AIM when I had it. I think we get along despite our differences :)) since he has people like Bloodsin wanting to emulate him. Next, I've never said anything about homosexuality being determined by DNA, don't go putting words in my mouth that you don't know the meaning of. As for the paycheck I don't owe that to you for 3 simple reasons 1. you didn't provide any concrete evidence to prove that Beastiality is the same as homosexuality. Instead all you did was sprew idiotic dribble that not even a toddler could be proud of. 2. You made a mockery of marriage. What I share with my husband is nothing like whatever you think is shared between humans and animals. It's also not close to what is shared between people in a civil union or marriage. Unless you think that what your mom and dad share is the same as what you and Fido or Furball share. In that case I'll pity your parents. Or pity you, your choice :therock: 3. Between the grammar, the spelling and the overall lack of maturity on your part, I don't think you'd know what to do with anything larger than $2.00. Therefore, I don't believe your argument will hold up in court, good day. -
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel PETA is also ridiculous,
I probably should've mentioned this in my last reply to this post but aside from trying to get people to turn against horseback riding (i'm serious!) They also tried to get this town in Eastern New York state called Fishkill to change the name to Fish Live You see, they thought that Fishkill sounded too violent and they wanted a more positive name to be used. I guess these people never learned Dutch. See, the state was originally New NEtherlands and the name Fishkill translates to fish creek or fish stream. The name has nothing to do with killing. But I do wonder, why they didn't try to change the Catskill mountains to the cats live mountains. Could it be that they don't feel cats deserve the same rights as fish? Or maybe they were planning on trying that next, but later found out what kill means in Dutch? Next-people who want to change Rotterdam and Amsterdam New York to Rotterdang and Amsterdang.
Originally posted by rttocs77 Along the lines of banning gay marriages, I still don't see why the US Army bans gays and lesbians. They say they have a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy, but people are still getting discharged because of homosexuality. They say it lowers troops morale. What the f-ck? You can't be around someone because of their sexual preference. I want to say to a lot of the homophobic troops out there 'don't flatter yourself, a gay guy in your division probably wouldn't want you anyway.'
Keh, my husband is a Specialist in the US Army. He thinks the don't ask don't tell policy is a load of crap, but of course, he used the three letter word for crap. I think part of the reason they have that screwed up policy is because they want people to be more concerned with a soldier's sexual preferance than what high ranking NCO is raping some low ranking enlisted person or beating his wife. (No, I'm not being unsupportive or unpatriotic. It's actually something I've read about and heard about from other soldiers.) I'd like to use a quote from Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers to simplify the stupidness of some military rulings- A man beside me in Nam is a man beside me in Nam. What he does in his bed is his own business. I have to agree with the whole don't flatter yourself part as well, I had to explain this to an ex of mine after I dumped him. I said-You don't have to worry about a gay man wanting you for his partner, gay men have better taste. As for the comment on homosexuality being a sin, mention the book in the Bible that says that, and I will convert back to Christianity. I think it's a bigger 'sin' to deny someone the right to marry than to call their lifestyle a sin. Why don't you just hand out some de-gaying tapes as well? Of course, that's just my opinion. Personally I think God would just be happy to see his creations happy reguardless. -
You'll have to excuse me, but I'm a bit skepticale about PETA. They've always seemed a bit too extreme for me. These are the same people who think that you shouldn't ride horses because it's unnatural for the animal. Yes, it is, but it's also unnatural for dogs to be domesticated and stay indoors and only play outside in fenced in areas, but nobody tries to make you free your dog.I'm not saying I'm not for animal rights, I'm just saying that PETA is seriously out there at times. And c'mon, everyone a vegatarian. There are many different types of vegatrarinism-some don't even allow the consumption or use or animal bi-products. So if everyone became vegatarian, PETA would probably want everyone to be Vegan, which is the one which doesn't allow the use of anima products so you can't drink milk or eat eggs. Besides the fact that by ending the consumption of meat farmers would go out of business and there'd be some bigger problems with the economy. There's my $0.02, someone add some more.

I'm just curious. Nothing to do with starting an RPG (which I keep thinking means Rocket Propelled Grenade) I just want to know who's done one. What was it, did you have a cool character? Was it your first time or do you do it on a regular basis? And if you'e never role played do the people who do RPGs make you think about small children playing pretend? Make it interesting. As for myself. I've only done it once. I played Vampire the masquerade with my husband and some of his friends. There was one guy who we began calling 'Chicken f***er' because he was just inconsiderate. Doing this made me feel kinda weird tho. I kept thinking why am I playing pretend in my living room and I hope the C,Fer doesn't grind Doritos into my rug. For the most part I try to stay away from 20 something to 30 something military men pretending to be knights in a garage or vampires in my living room. But on the bright side, it keeps them out of the streets!
Originally posted by Bloodsin I was following everyone's logic. "Two things love eachother, It's a free country, let them do it!" There's nothing in your DNA that makes you gay, it's a life style. So is Beastiality. You can't dismiss someone saying they're prejudice to gays while you're prejudice to Beastiality.
You'll have to excuse me, my sarcasm is working over time tonight. Give me a good concrete example of how Beastiality is the same as Homosexuality and I'll give you my next paycheck. Tell me, how can a dog give you anything but a completely platonic relationship? Does your dog ask you to hop into bed? I didn't think so. Again, I do appologize for my sarcasm.
Originally posted by Dan L I see no reason why gay people can't get married. Marriage is just as much a pagan custom as it is a religious custom So in terms of marriage for gays- I see no issue there, ie. there's not really a lot I can do about it because you don't believe as I do anyway. However seeing as my God created man to be with woman, I would question the morals of any (Christian) Godly man sanctifying that unity in a religious sense.
Paganism is a religion, they mention it as a religion in the military chaplin handbooks. However, this isn't a discussion on religion. I do think that your argument about homosexuality not being condoned by Christianity is an interesting one. So I'm going to reply accordingly. My husband's aunt is a lesbian. Her and her partner have been together for over ten years. They also attend a Lutheran church in the city of Rochester and are good friends with a pastor there. Maybe that really doesn't prove anything. But maybe that also proves that same sex couples aren't necessarily ungodly and scorned by members of the church. Still on the church topic. There was a priest a few years back up in the Rochester Catholic diocese who was ratehr liberal. He not only condoned gay partnerships, he presided over their unions outside of church. Needless to say, he was ex-communicated, but he did what he thought was right. -

I still say I would never get an abortion myself, but I wouldn't stop someone from getting one. I've also never been put into the position where I was pregnant and didn't know what to do with the baby (embryo, fetus, conjunction of cells). However I do give people credit for doing what they thought was necessary. Including the friend who had the abortion. I give my best friend credit for actually standing up to her mother and telling her she was keeping the baby. And of course I give my biological mother props for going full term with me then giving me up. As for Bloodsin's Earth anology, I'm not all that surprized. This is the same guy who thinks that beastiality is the same as homosexuality. *shrugs* Okay, that was completly off topic. I'm still amazed that nobody has ever considered putting limits on abortions or having complete medical coverage on birthcontrol. My insurance company does, but I don't think anyone else's does. One abortion is fine, but some women are just having multiple ones, that's just sick! -

It's a bit off since i haven't been drawing in a while and this was my first sketch for anime since I dion't know when. I still think it's cool tho since I did it myself and the legs aren't too messy

I don't play, come to think of it, I've never played. I did an RPG once and found it fun to be a vampire but-that's another story. (oh I killed my hubby once in that) My husband played and so did his friends, but now they're all in their late teens to early 30's and have given it up for role olaying. *sigh* I hope they don't get salsa on my rug!

one of my close friends who lives in AZ had an abortion(we went to h.s. together and she lived in the same town as me until I moved to TX, then she moved to AZ...anyways) To be perfectly honest she's a bit ashamed that she had one, but in her eyes there was no other choice. She's not married, her boyfriend at the time was a crackhead and cheating on her, and her parents would more likely than not, be less than thrilled. Not to say that they're not nice people, but honestly, would you be thrilled with your daughter-reguardless of age- ending up pregnant by some guy who doesn't know the meaning of the word condom? My friend who's expecting the baby in March, her mother actually offered to pay for the abortion. My friend said no (obviously) and is willing to give up a lot to have her baby. Then I know another girl down in TX who's sister has had atleast 10 abortions simply because she didn't feel like getting all fat and bloated. How selfish is that? I think there should be some type of regulations on abortions simply because of girls like the one I just mentioned. One abortion-fine go before the end of the first trimester and have it done. Or if you think you're pregnant, take some kind of morning after pill for gods' sakes! But then after you have it done they should make you take some classes on how to practice safer sex and maybe help you get some birth control pills or some female condoms and spermicide. I also think partial birth abortions are just wrong. YOu went thru the whole ordeal with labor, just give the baby up for adoption if you don't want him or her. -
Originally posted by Arcadia I don't think anybody's said this yet, and it's a valid point in my opinion, so here I go. I think most will agree that the idea that gay marriage is wrong is based in religious beliefs. For our government to make laws out of those beliefs is absolutely ridiculous - what happened to the seperation between church and state? And to say that it's "man's natural inclination" isn't true at all. Check out half the other countries in the world - granted, most of them are what we like to think of as "third world countries" and are thus "inferior" to us (note the sarcasm), but they do it. Are you to say that it's not natural then, when they're the closest to primitive we've been in quite some time? In fact, you could argue that man has only had sex in your "natural" way for these thousands of years because it was the only way they could reproduce and keep on living. In fact, in a lot of countries, marriage isn't about love at all - it's about financial/social/political stability. If you ask any anthropologist what marriage is, they'll tell you it's the right to have sexual relations with another person. When you look at it that way, it's pretty "natural".
I definately have to go with Arcadia on this one. As long as history has been recorded there are records of marriage contracts. Basically no form of love, just money, conveniance and land. There are some even more interesting stories to the whole arranged Marriage thing. I read this book called Royal scandles. Interesting stuff-King James the first of England was a bit of a flamer. As was Queen Mary who was 1/2 of the William and Mary monarchy. Oh, and if you want more fun you can read this: SUMMARY: A psychologist claims that a group of lesbian monkeys in Japan shows that Darwin's theories of evolution are incorrect. A psychologist claims that a group of lesbian monkeys in Japan shows that Darwin's theories of evolution are incorrect. Paul Vasey, of the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada, has been studying the sex lives of Japanese macaques. According to Darwin's theory of sexual selection, said Vasey, the male monkeys should compete amongst themselves for access to potential mates -- but the macaques don't follow that pattern. A colony of 120 wild macaques in the mountains in Kyoto shows enormous sexual diversity, including female-female relationships. Females will reject the advances of a pursuing male in favor of their existing female partner 92.5 percent of the time. "If females are choosing female sexual partners over male reproductive partners," Vasey told the American Association for the Advancement of Science, "that suggests a pretty fundamental revision of sexual selection theory. "We've got females that are competing for males with other females, we've got males that are being choosy, males that are sexually coercing females ... we've got females sexually harassing males that don't want to copulate with them, we've got females that have sex with each other, we've got females that are competing with males for other females, we have females that are mounting males." Vasey said it is clear the females are deriving sexual pleasure when they mount other females. In some positions, he said, a female will rub her clitoris against her partner's back, while in others, "it's common for females to masturbate with their tails" where there is no direct genital contact. "The traditional evolutionary theory says you do things in order to reproduce," he said, "so why would you do all this non-reproductive sex? To me, that's a really compelling evolutionary puzzle." In conclusion, I don't think we'll ever understand what normal human (or animal) behavoir really is. We just understand what mainstream human behavoir is. -

There's got to be a method to this-I just hope I find it. Of course, I usually go for the ones who remind me of my one and only (sorry  sick fool here)Let's see: Kashino Rei (mars)-I love his hair and his nicely drawn manga self. Also how he rides a motorcycle. Nice bonus-he lived in the US so he knows conversational english! prince Demando (BSSMR)-uh..Demandos are a girl's best friend, ne? Sesshomaru(inuYasha)-do I really need to say anything? -
I'm just gonna come right out and say this: I like to walk around nekid...inside of course! And I like to play in the snow. C'mon, how many over 10 year-olds like to do that-admit it!
Originally posted by snakemarcato13 you think I don't know what I'm talking about? HA! I was in love once, and I dont care if you doubt me! just because of my age doesnt mean im an idiot!
My, aren't we touchy? I simply said that at your age you shouldn't be so jaded by love, I never implied that you were an idiot. Of course, maybe by the mere fact you felt I called you an idiot you think you are an idiot...maybe you feel you shouldn't have been in love in the first place. Did you understand what I said? Of course, if your grammar is any indication, you're 3 steps from becoming an advanced ignoramous. There's no absolute way to define love and there is no absolute way to experiance love. Anyone who tells you there is is an absolute ignoramous. There are different types of love. The way you love your parents (or in some cases don't love your parents) is no where near the same you love your boyfriend or girlfriend of 2 days. And it's certainly not the same way you'll feel about the person you'll marry (trust me, I've experianced all three). You can't compare your love for a parent with your love of a pet either. That would be putting the person who raised you (unless you were raised the same way as my husband, then you also have to put a lesbian aunt in the picture) on the same level as the dog who crapped in your shoes and decided that your Horse Illustrated magazine made a good chew toy. Who really wants to do that?

Okay, we've done the which anime/Manga characters would you want to date. And we've contemplating who we'd never want as a roommate under fear of homicidal tendancies either to ourselves or the co-occupant. We've also tried to figure out which anime couples could and couldn't work. Well, now I'm curious-who could you never consider dating? Whether it be just plain being seen in public with the person, or the fact that you worry about homicidal tendancies-either theirs or yours. Just make sure it's not a spammy thing. As for myself I have quite a few people on my Do not call list: Rubius from SailorMoon-I'm guessing this one would take too much time in the bathroom. Oh and his laugh and obsession with pink bunnies would drive me up a wall, over a balcony and down a yellow brick road. Masao of Mars-Hmm let's look at the pros-He's kinda cute. Now the cons-HE's homicidal, sadistic, and crazy. Oh, did I mention he's killed people? Well, the cons outweigh the pros so he's a no go. And for the last one of the night-Naraku-The baboon pelt is enough to drive a girl off, but let's go deeper, shall we? He got people to turn against eachother. He kills to get what he wants, and he's a klepto. Oh and he likes to make threats to people. Yeah, this is one I'd take home to meet the family. Thank you but no, I think I'll stick with what I've got.
Originally posted by Cahoots34 Heero himself is far harder to analyze, but something about the rather unhappy state of his childhood and his general lack of self-worth seem to suggest a need for more than a marriage of convenience with an attentive trophy wife. (This is where Duo has the definate advantage over Relena-- he understands what Heero needs because his own needs are the same. Whether either one of them is going to do anything mutually beneficial about that remains to be seen. ;) ) As for Relena, I think it's high time for her to try stalking a new suicidal sociopath. Trowa, perhaps? (Maybe Quatre will share....?)
 :rotflmao: Oh my god! That was funny. I wish I had thought of this thread dammit! I have to agree with Cahoots on the whole Hiiro/Relena thing. He'll shoot her eventually if they stay together. I can see the headlines now: former gundam pilot assasinates his own wife for being annoying as all get out...more at 11:00 Even though the author and everyone who loves Usagi and Mamoru say that Usagi and Mamoru should be together I have to dissagree. What exactly do they have in common? He's quite a bit older than her and their mentalities aren't matched evenly. And don't try to explain it away with the whole, they were past lovers (or the fact that Naoko herself made them a couple which of course is true) because who needs facts when you have fiction? :laughs: Who's to say that Tsukino Usagi and Chiba Mamoru aren't together simply because they were together in a past life and future dictates that they should be together? Hmm? Face it, they're just staying together because of that demon spawn called ChibiUsa a.k.a. Princess Small Lady Serenity. Tenchi and Aeka is another one. She's so damn possesive and high strung I wouldn't be surprized if that one ended up the same as Hiiro/Relena. -

I'd just never get one if I was still in that kind of position. I also believe that if abortions were made illegal again people would still get them. There are some very interesting points of veiw on the subject. I have another friend who's pregnant right now. She knows the sex of the baby and everything right now. This girl won't even let me call the baby her, I have to refere to her as Alicia which is what she'll be formally named in MArch. Gods, will that be funny if the baby is a boy!:rotflmao: Point? She's so pro-life, she has begun calling the baby by name before she's delivered. Won't even let me call Alicia (yes, I have to do this) a fetus. Even more interesting, she's not married, she works two part time jobs, and goes to college. Her boyfriend is in the picture tho, but he seems much younger than 27 sometimes. I'm not in this position any more for obvious reasons, but prior to when I thought about just giving the baby up for adoption like my mother did for me. Hell, it took three years for my parents to get me, so why not contribute? Okay, bad choice of words. Anyway, adoption has got to be really hard on the mother since you go through nine months of having something growing in you and then give birth and give it up. I have no problems with pro-life people. Well, until they block the streets in downtown Roch so I can't get to work and I'm compelled to run them over. EDIT I just realized how childish that sounded. I'm sorry -

Hmm, this is a good question. The hardest thing I've ever done is probably move half way across the country 4 days after i got married. Before that the farthest aways from home I'd ever lived is in Canadaigua which is a 45 minute drive from my parent's house and I came home on weekends. I lived in TX for over a year and hated it. But I survived. The worst experiance is definately my misscarriage. I was off the pill for 2 months and got pregnant, but then I lost it a month later. I cried for like 3 days. That was definately pretty hard on me and my husband.
