1. I still say Hyphenation is the way to go. You show your love to who you marry yet get to keep your maiden name. Really it's one of the best things I've done. Besides a few years after you marry someone you eventually have children and I think that's a much bigger sign of love than just a name. Of course, then you get to the part about what surname the child is going to have. Are you going to give him or her the husband's last name or have it hyphenated like yours? luckily I've got nine months to deiced.:rotflmao:
 2. My mom doesn't watch it at all, but seems to think it's like all other cartoons and it's all for children. She even thinks InuYasha is for children! However she doesn't think my husband's RPGs are childish even tho he and his 20 and 30 something years old friends are playing pretend in someones garage and all I wanna do is watch a bit of InuYasha or Ayashi no Ceres. Go figure. Okay, so back in my junior year she had a good reason not to like SailorMoon-it was pulling down my chemistry grade since i Was writing fanfics with a friend of mine instead of taking down formulas. Yes, instead of a low A high B I had a C in Chemistry, but I still passed.
 3. O.k. I can actually put this down for personal experiance. I've been married for a little over a year (1yr and 3 months 7, December) My military ID has my husband's last name on it, but that wasn't really my choice because I got the ID the day before i moved to TX and I hadn't quite decided what I was going to do since I had only been married for 3 days. However a few months after that I had to renew my driver's license so I went to the Killeen DMV. I had decided two months after my wedding that I was going to have my name and my husband's. I told the lady that I wanted it to be D-C then my first name. The lady gives me this mean look and says, well, I can't, if I do that your middle name won't fit. After a few minutes of convincing teh woman to just put my middle initial on the lisence I finally exclaimed-Dammit lady, it's my name. Put it on my lisence! So to answer the question, I still have my maiden name along with my married name. Lincoln doesn't have a problem with it. We're not traditional anyway so why should we try? Besides, I'm only Mrs.Lincoln C. to my grandma
Originally posted by cloricus I would expect my wife to take on my surname. It's just how it works traditionally and it?s what I've been brought up with. Though not having being in the position my view might change depending.
My husband never knows what to expect from me in the first place. And as I said, we're very unconventional. However, we still haven't decided if our kids are going to be hyphenated or have his name.
Originally posted by Raiha Believe it or not, I'm with cloricus. I was raised this way, and although some women mistakenely believe that it "takes away their identity..."
My choice had nothing to do with identity loss, I've just always been fond of my Maiden name. It's a very good strong Irish name. My husband's is nice too-except that it's easy to mispronounce. Besides, I love him enough to have his children and do other things for him, I don't think a name really needs to prove that.
 4.
Originally posted by Raiha Well, it sounds like you did. Even if it wasn't a BIG Shpeil..... and that's not a euphemism.... Pinhead....Commander in Chief.... Well, if he's conservative, he just might be a *gasp of drama* Republican! He wants to outlaw everything he doesn't agree with. .....really? Where'd you get that 'fact' from? An Anti-Bush website? He doesn't have absolute power, just incase you didn't notice. He doesn't have control over a few small things....like jurisdiction over the Justice system, Senate, and House of Reps. Maybe you should take a few American Political System's classes...and while you're at it a U.S. History class, just for good measure. And if that isn't enough, I'll link you to a nice website of objective third person encyclopedias.
No, I didn't go on an anti-Bush website, I've just paid attention to what bills he's passing and figured it out myself. You see, I like to think for myself. Being conservative doesn't automatically make you a Republican and being liberal doesn't automaticly make you a Democrat. Just like if you say you'd never get an abortion yourself doesn't mean you're pro-life and not pro-choice. You can be for same sex marriages and still be Christian too. Yes, I do know that he has to answer to the congress before he vetos something. But have you noticed that most of congress is republican along with the senate? As for telling me I should take a few classes because I don't agree with your veiws, don't you feel that was a bit presumptuos of you? Am I telling you that you should consider taking an interpersonal communications class? Go ahead and PM me that link, tho,I do like broadening my veiws. I still don't like the guy. QUOTE]Originally posted by PloKoonDS Stupid ***-tards. Honestly, everyone is always b!tching about him. I'd also bet money you are also convinced that Al Gore won the popular vote in Florida. Well boo-friggin'-hoo. It's over and in the past. Besides, so fawkin' what if we still have troops in that far off nation where they some one gets injured/killed every day. HELL, I bet most of you get "injured" everyday. Stubbing a toe or a paper cut counts. If you haven't been able to tell by now, the news companies like to twist there facts and confuse them with opinion. IT's called "yellow journalism", you stupid communists. Now then, more specific on why our troops are still over in that sandy-hole in the middle of that relatively large... umm.. continent? Yeah, whatever. Anywho, They are still there because they need a government that will work for them, not go "hey, that guy isn't clapping when I shoot a GUN OVER THERE HEADS! KILL HIM!!!" I sure would love to be in that nation when the idiots come for me with a loaded weapon! *sarcasim* Anyways, another REASON why we went in there was because he made an open and public threat on world broadcast television to America, saying "you will regret the day you decided to try and remove me from my country". Alright, if you people don't see that as a reason to go in there and remove him from power before he makes good on his words, I seriously pity you. Final statement: Shut the heck up. Weither or not you like him doesn't matter. He is what we've got right now, and in my opinion he is doing a d@mn good job. Remember, morons and idiots alike, everything is based off of the "eye of the beholder". Dumb bast@rds. ~Plo
Plo, I think I pity you more than I pity this country that I live in right now. The way you put up your opinion makes me debate your maturity. OF course I'm not being very polite right now either, but I seriously don't give a rat's behind. I know quite a few people who are staioned over in Iraq right now from 4th ID both out of Ft.Hood and out of Ft.Carson. These aren't stub your toe injuries these are delibilitating injuries that these men and women will have to live with for the rest of tehir lives. Hell, when my friend's husband was sent over there in March (BTW his unit was one of the first to reach the Bagdad airport) they were shot at the week after they arrived. One of the guys was so messed up from that he ended up being sent to a psych ward back in Ft.Hood. This guy is 20 years old and will never be the same again. Of course, Bush doesn't really care about that part. The whole injured and disabled veterans thing. It's of no consiquence to him because they've fulfilled their duty. That's why he's cutting funding to Disabled Vets so many of the VA hospitals risk closure, but hey, that's life right? Reguardless of this fact however, BUsh isn't thinking of removing more troops instead everyone-reguardless of ETS date-is going to stay over in Iraq for a year for troop rotation. These people don't even want to go. I've even heard some of my husband's friends talking about how to get out of the Army. I really don't care who won the popular vote back in 2000, that was three years ago. Bringing it up isn't going to change anything. I don't like Bush, my best reasons are his veiws on abortion, gay rights, religion and the fact that he's cutting the VA hospital budget. To me these are very good reasons. I could say I don't like his big ears, but that would just be juvenial and of subject. Besides, it's not a convincing arguement.
 5. Uh sure, I guess ya gotta love the flying luggage. There was flying luggage right? Because that's all I got on my screen. unless I'm really tired right now.
 6. I'm not going to go intothis big speil about how Bush is the dumbest thing to hit the whitehouse since Dan Quaile (of course I was really little when they brought him on board, but hey, I needed a euthamism!) I Do really want to mention that altho this war may be doing some good for the Shiite muslim tribes in Iraq and everyone is getting new schools and such I really hate it. I agreed with Natalie Maines when she said she was ashamed that Bush was from Texas and I wish she hadn't taken back such a comment. Yet I supported our soldiers (many of whom I know personally) when they were sent over to Iraq and I will continue to support them. These men and women didn't choose to go over there. Some guy who spent Nam patrolling the skies over Texas did that. I'm simply going to use a quote that Good ole' George W. Bush told ABC news back in 1999 when he was still govenor of Texas.
?I don?t think witchcraft is a religion. I would hope the military would take a second look at the decision they made.?
Yes, it seems rather silly to dislike the guy because of his veiws on a religion that people practice. But think of it this way. He said this when he was govenor, imagine if he did get it in his pinhead to do something like this now that he's commander in cheif. He's too conservative and too backwards. He wants to outlaw everything he doesn't agree with. I believe Shakesphere put it best in Julius Ceasare-Absolute Power Corrupts absolutely
 7.
Originally posted by Epid3mic Do you honestly believe the people who would do that were good Christians? I sure hope not, because if you do, well then you obviously know very little about the religion you seem to dislike. I believe someone else on this message board a interesting point on wiccans in a different thread. They are very defensive. It's as if they feel the "bigger" religions bully them, mostly due to rare and impersonal occurences elsewhere. This isn't directed at anyone here, nor am I saying all wiccans are like this, but, oh well.
Okay, first off would you please pick up a dictionary and look up the word Sarcasm? Did you even notice that I put the word good in quotes? go back and read it, you'll find it there. As for me not knowing very much about a religion i 'dislike' (look quotations) I grew up Christian. read my first post to this topic. I was married in a CHRISTIAN church by a deacon. I was Christian for twenty-one years of my life. I don't dislike Christianity. I know pleanty of very nice people who are Christian. My mom, my maternal grandparents (I can't go into my paternal grandmother right now because at the moment she's being the 'bad' type of Christian) My closest friends are Christian. I've even had a polite conversation about religion with someone on this board. I find Christianity a very nice positive religion. (even a lady I know of who runs an antique shop in Burnet,TX has said that. And she's been run out of town a few times by people who follow Christian teachings due to her religion.) It's just that the religion wasn't for me anymore. I don't condem other people for believing it and I certainly don't hate it. Heck, I don't even hate you. I dislike that you're putting words in my mouth, but I don't hate you. I don't even know you. As for the defensive comment, could it possibly be due to the fact that there were actually things called the Burning Time and a Book Called the Witches Hammer? Maybe it's because there are politicians trying to bar people from the military based on religion. Or it could just be because stupid people make stupid comments. Okay rant over. ChibiHorsewoman is coming back to earth now. Thank you for your patience. Oh, and if you think I'm making some of this stuff up, please read this Pagans Plan Response to Labor Day Anti-Witch March in Texas Lady Liberty League News #6 Wednesday, September 1, 1999 from http://www.circlesanctuary.org/liberty Pagans, Christians, and others supportive of religious diversity are planning to make a peaceful and centered stand ? for religious freedom, and against bigotry ? in response to an anti-Witch march scheduled to take place on Labor Day (Monday, September 6, 1999) in local communities near Fort Hood in Texas. The march is being organized and led by an anti-diversity Christian preacher who has been one of the most vocal opponents of freedom of worship for Wiccans in the US military. He has tried repeatedly to stir up public pressure to stop the Sacred Well Congregation?s Fort Hood Open Circle from having Wiccan rituals at Fort Hood. This preacher, Rev. Jack Harvey of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Killeen, calls his action, ?march against wickedness.? He plans to start the march in Killeen on Monday morning and end it in the afternoon at a Pagan owned metaphysical store in Copperas Cove. He has spoken out against Witches and the Wiccan religion both publicly and privately. Some of his anti-Wiccan propaganda is quoted in an article written by reporter Barry Schlachter which was published in the August 7, 1999 issue of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper. ?This is war,? thundered the Rev. Jack Harvey of nearby Killeen, who has vowed to run the witches off base. Harvey, who has announced a Labor Day ?march against wickedness,? sees no difference between Wicca and devil worship or voodoo. He has instructed that at least one member of his congregation carry a handgun at services ? ?in case a warlock tries to grab one of our kids.? ?I?ve heard they drink blood, eat babies. They have fires, they probably cook them. This is unbelievably wrong,? said Harvey, who repeatedly pounded his desk during an interview at Tabernacle Baptist Church, then apologized for his hell-broth boil. ?Sorry. I get very emotional about this,? he said. There was no sign of human, or animal, sacrifice at the Lughnassadh or first harvest service on July 31, which was followed by a potluck turkey dinner. Adherents insist that Wicca, a nonproselytizing faith traced back to pre-Christian nature worship but largely reborn, with a strong feminist influence, during the 1970s, has nothing to do with Satanism. Fort Hood officers, citing their soldiers? constitutional right to religious freedom, have allowed Wiccan worship since August 1997. And they have not buckled under to critics ? or rethought their policy, as Gov. George W. Bush, R-Tex., urged in an interview broadcast nationally on ABC- TV. The legally incorporated Sacred Well Congregation of San Antonio had been quietly sponsoring the base rituals with little outside notice until the Austin American-Statesman ran a lengthy piece in May. Its photo of the congregation?s high priest, Fort Worth-reared psychologist David Oringderff, hurdling a Fort Hood bonfire was widely reprinted, raising the ire of fundamentalist Christians in Congress such as Sen. Strom Thurmond, R-S.C., and Rep. Bob Barr, R-Ga. ?What?s next?? Barr wrote in a letter to Lt. Gen. Leon S. Leponte, the base commander. ?Will armored divisions be forced to travel with sacrificial animals for Satanic rituals? Will Rastafarians demand the inclusion of ritualistic marijuana cigarettes in their rations?? In keeping with the original compromise with the Texas Wiccans, there is still no traditionally ?skyclad,? or naked, bonfire jumping at Fort Hood. In June, 13 conservative religious groups announced a boycott of enlistment and re- enlistment until Wiccan worship is taken off Fort Hood. The call drew national attention. But the boycott hasn?t affected potential recruits, Army spokeswoman Maria Taylor said from the Pentagon. Moreover, Pat Robertson?s Christian Coalition and another group have withdrawn from the boycott. In July, Barr was rebuffed in an attempt to insert a provision in a military authorization bill that would have prevented Wiccans from using base facilities or getting Army-supplied candles. It never made it out of committee, his staff said. Bush, a conservative Christian and the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, told ABC in June: ?I don?t think witchcraft is a religion. I would hope the military would take a second look at the decision they made.? According to Heidi Morrow, who owns the New Age Connection, the store in Copperas Cove, Texas, being targeted by Harvey and his march on September 6, Harvey has told her and other area Witches that all Witches should be dead. He has repeatedly quoted a passage from Exodus 22:18 of the King James Version of the Bible: ?Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.? Although the word witch in this version is a mistranslation of ?ob? meaning ?poisoner,? from his remarks, Harvey appears to have no understanding of this and seems to be taking the words of the King James version of the passsage quite literally. Lianna Costantino-Mead, a Wiccan high priestess, has heard similar rhetoric from Harvey. He also told her that all Witches should be killed. He proclaimed this after refusing her invitation for him to join in an interfaith dialog meeting between local Christian and Pagan religious leaders about religious freedom concerns. Due to threats Harvey has made against her, Lianna filed a report with the police.
 8. Oh boy gotta love those hallway brawls. The most memorable one was during my Sophomore year. THese two girls had this big falling out. At first they were just yelling then one grabbed the other by her sweater and threw her against the bookdrop. My friends and I snuck out early sometimes and ditched prep-rallies. We'd usually go to movies or to eat. My husband went to a public school in the city and they had all sorts of fun. A teacher got smacked in the face with a sock full of combination locks which were meant for another student and most of the kids there dropped out-he was one of them. Of course some of them go and get their GEDs as well. Where I live we also have a school called The School Without Walls. I don't exactly know what it's for, but I know a girl who goes there. I guess looking back I did kinda like my uniform for regular school-I just wish the sweater wasn't so itchy! I hated my PE uniform tho. Bright yellow t-shirt and a pair of bright blue sweat shorts Eww.
 9. Well, I haven't actually been in High School for about five years (Class of '99) But I went to a private school complete with the uniforms. (damn those ugly things!) We had regular school rules, but then the teachers in some of the classes went and made their own. I had an english teacher one year who wouldn't allow gum chewing in her class. But then I had another english teacher who would let us chew gum as long as we didn't snap it. We could carry back packs and had our own lockers. (Columbine was my senior year) And high school students could have stuff like asprin or Pamprine, but we weren't alloed to share it. However, we did because what girl would leave another girl to be miserable with menstral cramps. My brother went to a public school for 8th grade and high school because he caused too much trouble in 7th grade at the other school. And my cousin goes to the same school now. THey have to carry all sorts of crap in their book bags and all doors but the front entrance are locked after school starts.
 10. I was bored today so I did some laundry and searched through my old collection of tapes. I found an old Sailor Moon Dub (DiC even more frightening than CWi) So I actually watched them. I also like to watch those lame excersize shows on TV while eatting Chocolate cake with Whipped cream and telling the TV people what they're doing wrong. I yell at the TV alot and I watch Blues Clues. Those are a few of my guilty pleasures. I'm wondering what are some of yours? Oh uh I probably should've mentioned this one before. I like to play in the mud. That's right folks. I'm 22 and I play in the mud when I go hiking. I also am a sucker for Saturday morning cartoons and I still love to read Green Eggs and Ham. Basically, what you have here is a 22 year old child.
 11. What if I told you it wasn't ESP but maybe you were some kind of empath? Would you think I was weird? Probably. I believe that you can sense things before they happen, but I wouldn't go around saying it unless you want to be commited.
 12. Here's what ya do: 1-Buy a padded underwire push up bra 2-Stuff it with bubble wrap 3-Wear it to school I don't know if this really works since I started developing in 3rd grade, but it sounds good. As for the real stuff I have to offer (ie good advice) you're only 15 that's quite young. You're seven years younger than me for starters. Instead of saving money for a surgery you DON'T need. maybe you should talk to your parents about this or seek therapy. I'm not being cruel, I'm being serious.
 13. I read it! Well, Okay, I skimmed thru it, but it's kinda like reading it. I forgot the girl's name but:
she works in a book store with this other guy and she's kinda with this other guy. they have there is some frontal nudity. And it's notlike the SailorMoon henshin nudity more like InuYasha frontal nudity. Anyway the main character and the girl have sex and then she gets mad about being a *u** buddy
That's about all I remember from it. Needless to say, it's not for the not very mature. But hey, just call me Chibi Horsewoman, Manga Tester!
 14.
Originally posted by Dan L Two points to make here: 1- Maybe you should call Christianity a trend. Christians that are true to what they call themselves make up a tiny minority. Like the difference between trendy Wicca and true Wicca, there's a difference between Christianity and actually following Jesus. 2- Christianity? Can't be mocked? Have you read some of the scandalous headlines to do with the church recently, and have you listened to some people's opinions on it? If Christianity is one of those things which can't be mocked in society, heaven help those things which can.
Maybe someone can do a post on what sarcasm is? Honestly! Yes, but those who mock Christianity usually get the lovely word Heathen added to their name. Anthing can be mocked somethings that are foreign to mainstream beliefs are just made fun of more and twisted into things that cause trouble. Like say a Baptist preacher encouraging his congregation to interupt rituals. FYI this has actually happened. There was also an incidence where a middle school girl hung herself since she was tormented for her beliefs. You want to hear more? Do a yahoo search looking for Ft.Hood Open Circle. You can read interesting articles about 'good' Christian's who decided to interupt other people's worship. Sorry, but I needed to vent that. On a lighter note. Last month in Copperas Cove ( a small town on the other end of Ft.Hood) There was a Church meeting about Witchcraft. This was rather interesting.
 15.
Originally posted by Harry Not when it's a trend. You'll grow out of it, don't worry.
Whatever Okay, to some people it is a trend, when the weather gets too cold out to be comfortable for ritual they stop coming. But some people actually do believe in this religion and they don't see it as a trend. Maybe we should all call Christianity a trend as well and wait for that witch hunt breeder to die out ne? But you don't see people doing that. No, Christianity can't be mocked, but EVERYONE and their senial grandmother can bash Paganism. It makes me sick! Sorry, got a bit ranty. Like I said tho, I'm still learning. I have to do most of it on my own since my hubby's afraid of imposing his beliefs on me. Okay, that's it. BTW Harry, don't worry, ignorance is just a trend and us Pagans hope you grow out of it soon-we hope.
 16.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Wiccan seems ot be the more popular of the two... you don't hear much of pagaenism anymore (except from like lesbians or something lol... this is from personal experience)
WICCA is an actual religion. PAGANISM is the catergory to which Wicca is placed. You can be Pagan and not be Wiccan, but you can't be Wiccan and not be pagan. As for the whole all Wiccans dress in dark colors and are Goth chicks. That's a really stupid stereotype. I listen to country music and wear Aeropostale, American Eagle and Old Navy along with things I buy at Hot Topic, Department stores, and Salvation Army (yes, I said Salvation Army.) Of course at open circle I was one of the few people who dressed like that, but I didn't give a duck. Oh, I have to comment on the Charmed topic as well in this post. I read A book by Raymond Buckland back in June, it not only mentioned Charmed, but Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Now I've watched Sabrina and I still haven't gone into another relm through my linen closet! I do kinda wish that would happen tho. As for Satanism, it's another Pagan religion of sorts. I don't know too much about it, but my husband practiced for a while. Satanism (atleast the one I know a bit about) has nothing to do with worshipping Satan or sacrificing babies or virgins. Satan is used as more of a break from the norm as such. Or the Civil disobediance. You could also try to read the Satanic Website by Anton Levay for acurate discriptions. (BTW, Satanists and Wiccans don't really get along well) Oh and Benjamine Franklin and a few members of the Rat Pack were Satanists. My take on Wicca is that it's a religion based on positive beliefs. I was once told by a woman who owned an antique shop a few towns over from me in TX that Wicca embraces positive religions. The interesting part is she was being hounded because of her beliefs by other 'positive' religion follwers including a pastor. If anyone can tell me a bit more about Wicca (real stuff, not silly stuff) PM me, all my books are in TX still. Wicca and Paganism in general aren't hard to learn about, you just have to go buy a book on it. A good starter is to Ride A Silver Broomstick by Silver Ravenwolf
 17. I sometimes wonder the same thing samurai. Then I also wonder maybe if more homosexual marriages were allowed that the world's population would go down since there's so much over crowding. Believe it or not I'm being serious. The whole idea of a nuclear TV family with the perfect mom and the perfect dad with the Uber perfect kids was shattered as soon as Roseanne aired back in 1989. They've already got that sitcom with the one girl who has the two dads (or is it the guy with the two dads?) Yes, this country is still majorly conservative Protestant white, but we can change that. This generation needs to get out and vote and try to make a difference. Maybe throw a pie at someone. Who knows. The world is changing and homosexuality has always been there. Maybe not as out in the open as it is now (Will and Grace) but it's there. Besides, why shouldn't Massachesettes officialy allow this to happen. Haven't they heard of a Boston Wedding?
 18.
Originally posted by Dan L What gives Satan more power, that he is acknowledged or that he is not? Think about it in in terms of if he really did exist. If you knew about it then he wouldn't be able to do evil in the world anywhere near as effectively as he does today because everyone would know his game. However, if no-one knew he existed, and those that did were put off as looneys, then he would be far more effective in doing evil because everyone would claim his work as either good, or human nature. This is by no means proof that Satan is real, nor is it in dispute with your general point, but rather I disgaree on the statement that believing in something evil is the way in which you give it power.
I think I'm going to laugh at that  There, I did it. Now I'm ging to ask what the hell gave you the idea that satanism=Wicca? Of course, Satanism is a form of Paganism which is described as religions with out a monotheistic belief. But Satanism and Wicca have no simularities other than that. The word Pagan comes from the Latin Pagani meaning country or backwoods. Wicca is a nature based religion centered around both a god and a goddess or many depending on your path. (Yes folks, Paganism and Wicca are kind of like Christianity in the effect that they have many paths) However, in Wicca nobody believes in Hell or the Devil. Infact the lady who was high priestess of FHOC back in TX made jokes about it every once in a while because of all the myths. We also don't fly brooms and eat babies. and we're usually discouraged from doing harm to others. Some paths in Wicca do believe in evil spirits along with good ones. We also believe in Free will and if it harm none do what ye will. Bear with me please, I'm new to this and my husband has all our books in Texas. I think I can some up my belief in this example. A few weeks back I was talking to a friend of mine (a Baptist BTW) about how my husband was going to Iraq in February or March. She told me that even if he didn't think it would help she'd pray for his safety I replied that since it was positive energy it would work for him anyway. I could give a few things about Satanism, but that's not what this thread is about. Yes, I think Paganism lives. I could give a few examples through a few 'Christian' holidays (like one that comes up next month) but I don't know if anyone could handle it. By the way, I was raised Catholic and my husband even agreed to get married in a Catholic Church. I just became interested in Paganism and he decided to renew his faith. Merry Meet, merry Part and merry meet again
 19. I'm not quite the political guru I sometimes wish to be. I am however and unemployed member of America, a military spouse and a pro-choice liberal who likes the idea of same sex marriages. I didn't vote for Bush back in 2000, I'm not voting for him next year. I will now try to sway you with my reasoning:laugh: BUsh declared a war on Iraq back in March a month after he declared the war over. To me the war over means that you send most of teh troops home because the danger is over and the majority of the country's population has accepted or at least tolerated the occupation of foreign troops. This didn't happen prior to a cease fire and no imformed member of America or any other nation for that matter sees that as well. Also, Bush budgeted incorrectly for this 'War on Terrorism' so now he wants to make some cuts somewhere else. Where will he make them hmm-how about the disabled Veteran's funding? We don't need that, what do they need help with anyway? (do you sense the sarcasm coming out of my mouth yet?) So now with more disabled vets being created during this 'cease fire' in Iraq, he's going to cut that out so we can make more disabled vets in Iraq. Ooh boy, you've gotta love the irony folks! Not to mention all the fun laws he's trying to pass which are coming closer to over-turning Roe vs Wade and the fact that he really doesn't like the idea of homosexuality so you can just forget about everyone's civil rights. In my personal opinion, Bush should've just stayed in Texas, as govenor-maybe he could've run against Bessie in the Senate. But someone should get him out of the White House before he begins repealing Roe vs Wade completely or gets rid of the G.I Bill for Christ Sakes!

 21. I've been giving some more serious thought to this and I've decided who else I couldn't room with under penalty of going insane! ANy of the Pokemon cast. Yes, I watch the show from time to time, but hearing the same thing over and over would drive me mad. Quatre from Gundam wing. He just seems so perfect at times. I don't know why. And then something would go seriously wrong while he was working and I'd wind up with a serious case of dead. Millions Kinves. Let's see pros-He's cute Cons:He's violent, he hates people, he likes to kill things, and did I mention he's violent. No way, I'd end up with a serious case of dead Chibi syndrome! Miroku: Sure he's cute and I rather enjoy his dub voice. But he's such a pervert. He'd sneak in on me or ask me to bear his child and it just would not be a good thing. Aeka-Ooh, where do I start? Both her dub and Japanese voice annoyed me, she whines a lot and she doesn't know how to cook! Next please! Fish Eye-He'd steal my make-up PallaPalla-She'd rip off the heads of everyone's dolls. not that I have any dolls, but she'd find some dolls and rip their heads off.Not to mention the whole dream mirror thing. Mimette-Idol chaser, pure heart stealer, and she leaves thumb tacks in people's slippers when she's pissed at them. Sounds too much like a woman I once roomed with, no way! I wuld room with Sesshomaru now that I've rethought my prior thinking. I'd also room with Duo. and the water bill would be less since well-since i said so!
 22. A friend of mine once said that Thanks Giving is just a prelude to the Christmas Shopping rush because the Malls are all closed for the first time that year and everyone is just getting eager to go shop. This year we plan to get up at 7:00AM and push thru the other 20 somethings and the middle-aged women to get stuff. Either that or we'll sleep in and drive 45 minutes to East Rochester after 10:30 because the rush will finally settle down. Either way, we fulfill our mission to increase the Economy of Western New York. The week after that we focus on Syracuse.
 23. There's a Georgia Post already, so why not a New York one? Heck, you could be in the Tri-state NY, NJ, PA region for all I care. I don't know if anyone else is a New Yorker on here. Me-I'm from the Western NY area known as the Finger LAkes Region! Oh, and you know you're from Western New York when you think the 4 seasons are: Almost winter, Winter, Still Winter and Construction!
 24.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve but yeah... Georgia... home of the sweet tea.
Transtic, I know of quite a few Texans who would kick your butt for that remark:laugh: I am not one of them by the way! But I will say that Texas is the first place I ever had sweet tea. Other than that, I'm just a plain 'ole Yankee who got stuck south for a while.
 25.
Originally posted by Leh Well, I wouldn't of cared so much that she was criticizing the army a week or two ago, but for Veteran's Day, we watched this very touching and sad movie.. I now have a newfound respect for the army. Sorry for being harsh. ^^;
I have to say that I have more respect for the men and women in the military than the military itsself. These people put their butts on the line for something some of them don't even care to do like go to war for something they don't even understand. It's true, my husband really can't figure out why they need to go over there except that Bush wants them to be some of the new soldiers for troop rotation. On the same note, these men and women who are coming back from Iraq will receive a month of recooperation then they'll be sent to field excersizes for three months then some more training, work then back to Iraq. This is coming from my friend's husband who just recently returned from IRaq for family reasons. I don't know what his protecting America from. I also don't know what America is going to be able to do for their war veterans a few years down the road since the Bush administration is intent on getting rid of the Veteran's Support programs yet have started a war that only they know the reasons for and aren't willing to share with the public. What is going to happen to our disabled men and women if Bush succeeds with this program? Maybe this man would be a bit more concerned with the out come of his actions if his children were in battle instead of becoming adolecent alcholics like their father. Instead he's over budgeting for a war that nobody really wanted, cutting soldier's hazard duty and hardship pay and reducing support to veteran's. Yes let's vote for this guy again so he can screw up more things.
