Put Down That Sea Kitten You Monster!
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Raiha's topic in General Discussion
Watching PETA in action is mainly good for a laugh these days. Honestly... sea kittens? :blulaugh: I don't see that changing anything at all. I'm still going to enjoy having fish a couple times a week. =P
O h don't I know it? I don't know if I'm the only one who's seen their Kentucky Fried Cruelty billboard campaign with none other than Pam Anderson (who's VEGAN with rather large fake boobs- *shakes head*) but it illicites a chuckle every time I think about it. On and off topic, yesturday at work the cook made sea kittens for the residents and some of the staff ate it too. One of my co-workers said they tasted like fish. Isn't that funny? -
Illinois House impeaches governor
Oh I know. It didn't do him any good though. [U]Illinois Gov. About time too.
But he said he's going to appeal. I for one cannot wait for that show. -
Okay, I really just want to hope this works. Because I can never get my tags to work. But this could be my theme song
Personally, I like the post counts! What's the big deal anyway, they're optional, after all. And I can't wait to become a Senior Member someday! How many posts are required for that anyway?
Less than three thousand and more than what you have. Personally I miss the old member titles. No Life- I think I got that before they changed the version. And no I don't want rep points. It;d be too much like 4Kids and if you said something someone else didn't like they could just de-rep you.

Put Down That Sea Kitten You Monster!
By far! Hey, is anyone else wondering when a PETA spokesperson will announce "It was all a big joke!"? Because I'm having a pretty hard time believing these people can actually be this stupid.
Chibi, four words for you: Fish Save New York. That's what PETA wanted to change Fishkill, New York to a few years ago. And that wasn't a joke. -
ARGH!!! Thanks to a big snowstorm, my internet was K.O.'d for the last 2 days! Thus, I couldn't get on here, but I'm back! Darn internet-killing weather!:animeangr
Blah I had to drive in that craptastic weather! Yeah! I was away from home yesturday from 6:15AM-9:30PM because I didn't want to waste my 3hrs of free time. I totally hate driving in that stuff!

Put Down That Sea Kitten You Monster!
What of the cows, chickens, and pigs? Let's not forget moose, buffalo, and deer. Quite frankly, these animals were put on here for us to eat. We need both meat and veggies to sustain a good balanced diet. Meat does contain a lot of iron. Sea kittens? They already have Sea Lions. However the big difference there is that sea lions are cute. Bring in the sushi. Let's have a feast.
J apan, why stop at those? You forgot Sheep, (I don't eat the latter) goat (they make delicious curry) pheasant, quail, rabbit, duck, goose and ostrich. The list goes on. And while I won't deny that meat does have a lot of iron, you can also get your iron by eatting a lot of dark green veggies and taking suppliments. What I don't agree with is PETA forcing people to become vegatarians. If we weren't all supposed to eat animals why are they made of meat? This whole thread makes me hungry and makes me want to do quotes A wise person once said: You're awfully cute unfortunately you're made of meat. So live by the wise one and at least appologize to your food before you eat it. -
Illinois House impeaches governor
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in General Discussion
Just as his running around to various shows was pretty much a circus. It would have made less of an impact if he'd just owned up and went to his own trial. Even if they somehow find him innocent, no one will believe it after all of that nonsense.
Yeah, but think of all the fun we'd've missed if he'd just gone by the book Rach. Really someone in politics admit that they didn't do anything wrong? Personally I was waiting for him to do a cute Nixon impression and I feel a little let down. -
Illinois House impeaches governor
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in General Discussion
I just read up on how he's boycotting his own trial, instead of going to it and proving he's innocent. The more he protests in this manner, the more it comes across as he somehow thinks he's above the law. It doesn't make him look innocent at all in my opinion. No one is above being tried.
Yeah I saw that.Instead of going to trial in Chicago he's going to TV interviews in New York City (wrong way buddy) Monday before I left for work I was watching the news: Appearantly he doesn't feel he'll get a fair trial and was compairing himself to Ghandi, Dr. Martin Luther King and a bunch of other people who were persectuted unfairly. That in my opinion is just plain offensive and he's no right to compair himself to people who fought against discrimination and gave their lives for it. I'm not denying he has chutzpa, but he is a regular idiot. And all this media attention and evading his own trial isn't helping him out in the public eye in my opinion. Especially trying to get media attention and whinig and complaining. Be a man for sobbing out loud! Just go to the trial and since you're a politician suck it up and go to jail for a few months. Then you can think about the crap you made your kids go through when they found out that daddy is a lowlife and beat yourself up over it. -
I think the best solution tothis problem other than the letter writing and changing the director is to hit the producers of this movie where it hurts- in the wallet. Boycott the movie since the people who made it obviously didn't pay much attention to detail or to seem to care about anything but making a good movie. That's really all you can do sometimes. That and watch the truely awfulness on youtube.
I got the feeling of who it was since the first post you made. It's "JEM". Yeah, I grew up in the '80s.
Sorry for the delay, I didn't feel good last night. But anyways, Dragonboym2 is the winner. Outrageous. And now you can watch that show on Youtube and turn it into a drinking game

[OFFICIAL] The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty of 2008 - Nominations
ChibiHorsewoman replied to Shy's topic in General Discussion
What is it? Thread replies Why are they nifty?- Because if you didn't have thread replies your thread would be dead in the water before it even had a chance. They give us a chance to get a conversation started even more and give more insight on fellow members. Plus sometimes they're a great way to instigate more debates. Edit: in resonse to Shy's deadline I would like to make a new and rather odd nomination: Who is it? Me- Chibi Horsewoman Why am I nifty- Because I believe I'm nifty. Really when you think about it... damn I had a real reason. Oh well, I still nominate myself. At least then we can have a nifty sixteen. -
'nuff said. I didn't see that one, but The Village had the same affect.
Really I think all his movies are crap. All that drama build up then poof, it's machinery! But back to the topic at hand I think they should do some re-casting for the avatar movie if they intend to make any real money from it and not upset millions of fangirls (Yeah... fangirls= scary) But then again it's hollywood and these people allowed Gigli and Waterworld to be produced so let's not be too suprised. Note: Post will be better after sleep

Okay, third night and still no guesses. Man... I wonder if this would work better with women around my own age?
This was an unintentional hint
That said, here's the fifth clue: 5.) One of my phrases was Showtime Synergy. Yeah I had to put that in
I believe the Death Penalty is an important fixture of the justice system both as a means of repaying a debt incurred by the taking of human life as well as a matter of discouraging crime.
I fail to see your logic here Raiha. If it's such an important fixture, then why do other countries- such as Canada which is a mirror of our government- not have it in their justice system, yet their crime rate is much lower than that of the United States? This theory of equivilant of exchange isn't displayed very well for anyone here. Not that I don't believe that some people in some situations do deserve the death penalty. But to say that it's important is a rather ridiculous thing to say since as stated at the beginning of the paragraph, other countries don't have the death penalty and haven't had it for years yet they get along just fine. Counter that one and I'll find proof
Whether you agree with me or not is all gravy, I'll just quietly consider you to be less than mentally capable.
I agree with you to a point, in some cases people do deserve to die- that man who killed his son because of child support should be... well we want to keep this a clean thread so I can't say, but sometimes I wish they still did the whole firing range or a good old fashioned hanging for serial rapists and killers. But for people who don't agree with me I wouldn't go so far as to consider them "less than mentally capable" because that's beyond presumptuous and boardering on blantantly ignorant. Maybe it's because people are finding that it's not the best when you can be wrong when you kill some one and find out they were innocent. Because innocent people that are locked up can be set free, dead and innocent can't be returned.
Life without parole isn't really something that I like to put forth as an alternative to capital punishment as most of these sorts spend their time in relatively cushy cells with access to enormous libraries, HBO, and food that is quite edible. I'd prefer it if they lived out their days in women's underwear [if they're men], get punched in the mouth on an hourly schedule, and waterboarded every two hours just in case the punching isn't enough. Then it'd also be quite nice if they could endure some form of intense psychological distress, such as listening to the Beastie Boys. But on the other hand, it may be just simpler to lead them out back and shoot them.
Okay, I feel a need to point this out before I continue: GITMO IS CLOSED DEAR! Now that that's over do you realize what life is like without parole for say a guy who was convicted of murdering children in a prison where a lot of the inmates have children? I'm not an expert on prison life (except when the residents at the nursing home compair the building to prison) I don't work as a correctional officer (although some days I think that could be easier than dealing with 33 Alzheimers and dimensia patients) But I can't imagine that even criminals with children would be all that forgiving to a person who murdered children. . Also I have a theory that not only is cable TV a privledge, but it's also used to keep the inmates calm so we don't have any riots ala Attica State prison. It's not fully for the inmate's enjoyment it's for the guards safety. Plus I doubt it's on constant access. Same with the food, it's institutional fare. Not exactly cutting edge. State health laws require any facility providing meals for their residents (in this case inmates) should meet nutritional guidelines and caloric requirements. That's really it just basics. And finally "cushy cells' Seriously Cushy? What are you talking about, Celebrity jail?I drive by my city's jail downtown twice a day when I go to work. The exterior itsself looks far from cozy. From what I've heard from someone who stayed part of the night in jail it's far from 'cushy' People get beat up there by the other inmates (There's your punching in the mouth- and no one gets fired for abuse of power). You have to do your business in front of everyone else on the fancy metal toilet in the center of your "cushy' 13x8 (estimate) cell. And you get to choose from the top or the bottom of two gloryfied cots. Yeah vacation! While I fail to see eye to eye with your endorsement (okay close to it) of physical torture- the UN has veiwed waterboarding as inhumane and Guantanimo Bay has been closed down because of human rights violations. So no physical and most mental torture is out. I can appreciate the comments on playing obnoxious music. I vote for playing Barney and friends until someone cracks and does himself in. That way you don't have to worry about being berated for being for or against capital punishment because you weren't involved. Does that make any sense? So there's my fifty-cents worth of reply. I need to go to bed so I can fall asleep and wake up again.

Day two. No one's made the right guess yet... okay so I only have one guess. So here's a new clue: #4.) Ever since I found out about the other thing my father left us, life's been truely outrageous. At least that's what my sister says. Okay that was a corny and long clue. But maybe it'll help
Otherwise, sex.

I haven't done that in a while so in that esscence I'm just not too happy
Watching something funny makes me happy. I should really dig up some Animaniacs episodes online, because they made me really happy. What else makes me happy? A feeling of self worth- God that sounds so... sappy? But I get that a lot at work even if sometimes my jobs drive me crazy. Especially my full time one. Sometimes the best way to be happy is to make someone else be happy first.

I'm in pajamas now and they don't have pockets. Earlier all I had in my pants pockets were the following things:

Lint- because isn't that what's in all pockets?
a quarter- because my cell phone is such a piece of crap that my keypad fell off and got lost!
Every once in awhile I stick my craptastic cell phone in my pocket and my debit card when I get gas. But usually I carry a purse large enough to cart around a tea cup yorkie. I don't really need my pockets for anything. Except at work when I was there for 16hrs yesturday I had the following:

a few pairs of vinyl gloves-so I could do resident care and help my co-workers with a resident who had vomited and had diarreah all over herself
Preparation H cream- because let's face it when you get old you get hemroids
barrier cream- When you wear depends and they get wet it can lead to skin breakdown.
Bengay- Incase someone's knees hurt
Groin powder- I forgot the actual medical name, but this should suffice
My walkie- We've had the new ones for about 3 weeks now and all but two of them have lost their clips! WTF people?
a pen- So I can complete my ADL books and the 24hr for my shifts
. Yeah that about covers it.
I hate Speed Racer with the white hot intensity of a million suns. Every time I see the Speed Racer Next Generation which they are giving in Nicktoon Network I start twitching madly and fall into a foaming mouth, muscle spasm and eye twitching seizure. I don't know if it counts as an anime. It showed count as a tumor device. If we need to cut down on human numbers in the next couple of years for economy and ecological purposes just re-run Speed Racer on every channel six hours a day and that will cut our numbers in half. If they don't die from seizure, boredom or suicide attempts then they will when trying to reenact some of the car stunts Speed does in the show. The would be special Speed Racer Insurance which protects the owner and the car if they die in the hands of a fool who try to jump over the persons car by pressing a button to activate their home made wheel spring and the button gets stuck or the device doesn't work resulting in the car crashing straight through the other car at 70 mph. Of course the Speed Racer Insurance will cover other Speed Racer reenactment accidents. Speed is a murderer. He makes people fall off cliffs and make there car get off track with all his little gadgets. He should be arrest other then giving a trophy. He seriously is the old generation's Jigsaw from the SAW movie series. I just hate how he jumps out of the car and gives everyone a thumps up. The voice acting was horrible even if measured in old time dubbing standards. I can't believe they made it into a movie!
I agree with all that. But I have to add one more thing. What on earth was up with Speed's pants? I mean high water white bell bottoms? That's even wrong by 1970's disco standards! If he wasn't arrested by the real police he should've at least been arrested by the fashion police.

Well I never thought Azula would make a turn around. No matter how much I watched the show. Especially when I watched The Storm (Great episode. It offers insight into the characters of Aang and Zuko. I highly recommend it) over and over
That look and that evil smile that she had during the Agni Kai scene when Ozai scarred Zuko
was more than enough to prove that she was never going to be one of those villains who would see the error of her ways. Nope she was destined to be evil and conniving forever. Just look at everything she put her friends and Zuko through in the final two seasons. I just never expected her demise to be that extreme I was in shock watching the final of the four episodes.
I seriously did not expect her to go completely barking mad like that by thinking everyone was against her, accusing one of her attendants of trying to kill her by
and here's where the crazy starts to break through
leaving a pit in her cherry! and seeing Fire Lady Ursa in the mirror. I did crack up tho when she tried to bannish Lo and keep Li. She couldn't tell the two of them apart! Yeah that was classic
BUt does anyone besides me wonder how Azula got so twisted and corrupted? My guess is she probably got it from her father. You know that Ozai wasn't exactly a model parent. Just look at how he treated Zuko. But maybe we can't really blame Ozai considering how his father was. Fire Lady Ira must've been some kind of Saint or
Lu Ten's death during the seige of Ba Sing Se must have really done something to turn Iroh around
for Iroh to turn out so totally awesome  Seems to me though that Azula has some serious daddy issues. Too bad we'll never get to explore them
Hmm, I like Batman as an answer, but it wasn't what I was looking for:animeswea. Although, I'm going to give it to Chibi anyway. What I was looking for was the Penguin. Thanks. And I'd never have guessed the Penguin. Hmm... I need to think of a good one. Okay I know. And I bet you won't. Catergory: Cartoons #1. My father left me half of his record company and his estate when he died #2 My boyfriend has no idea that I'm the other woman he's in love with #3 I seem to be constantly in fights with pizzazz okay if no one guesses by this time tomorrow I'll throw in a new clue. Bon chance!
I think Aang's voice actor changed too...not so sure on that one, though. Iroh is definitely my favorite character. I wish--hope--they come out with a special series based just on his life.........ah, what a wonderous story it would be :3
Yes he did and it was after the first episode in the first season/ book. You'd see that from the first box set. Which I should watch again. And I'm with you, Iroh is such a great well rounded character that you can't help but like. That's what made Avatar such a great cartoon. They have well developed characters that are either likeable or loathable
Personally, I've always liked Zuko. Call me nuts, but I always liked his character. Yeah, he was quite the cry baby, but still
a great turn around on his part.
I was so proud! :>
Yeah one of my closest friends has a thing for Zuko. Yes she knows he's just a lot of drawings, but a girl can dream can't she? And yes we both got mad
During the fall of Ba Sing Se and the fact that Zuko betrayed Iroh... I was very upset. Especially since Iroh is the only one besides his mother who ever showed him any love and compassion.
Yeah just picture two twenty-six year olds yelling at the TV.
We're both glad he redeemed himself at the end of the series. Especially with Iroh.
because he needed to do that to grow. And I still don't completely buy that MaiKo pairing.
Toph is just plain awesome. There's nothin more to be said on her. She just flippin rocks.
Toph is hilarious. I love how she picks on Sokka when he forgets that she's blind. Ie:
I think that looks just like Appa. When she's talking about Sokka's bad drawing
Yeah good stuff.
Then comes Sokka. Oh that boy is so silly. I think I love him so much because he reminds me of my husband, lol. "Look, it's a giant mushroom! Maybe it's friendly!!"
" Friendly mushroom! Mushy Giant friend!" I couldn't resist.
The Desert Part Two when he was high off of Cactus Juice
Oh yeah Sokka is great-my second favorite after Iroh.- He's wonderful for comic relief plus he's full of ideas- not all of them good ones mind you- that he doesn't mind trying out and he doesn't let the fact that he has no bending power at all get him down. He doesn't let much get him down. (In that respect he's a lot like my boyfriend- except I've yet to see a goose attack my boyfriend's head) I think Sokka's best moment- and most meaningful was
In the final episode of Season One: Seige of the North Pole. When Yue died in his arms then came back as the moon spirit and they kissed before she dissapeared
I cried when that happened!
I never cared for Katara.
And did anyone else notice that she "fell" for several of the male characters??? Or am I just being resentful, lol

Well Katara is like... hmm I don't know. I mean I do like pairing her with Zuko. But sometimes she is such a drama queen! Ugh. And it's not exactly that she fell for every male character (okay except for Jet and Haru and then
She wound up with Aang at the end of the series and I'm sure some of us were like: Whoa what the hells?
I don't know if I felt resentful. I just thought that maybe she should have just not tried as hard. Even if Jet did fall for her first. So I covered most of the characters. But what about Azula? Anyone want to comment on her?

I'm just going to say Batman. No reasoning or anything. Just BATMAN.
Fun fact of the day: It costs taxpayers more money to give someone the death penalty than it does to imprison them for life.
That's true. I'd have to look up why though. But I think part of it is because of all the appeals that a death row inmate is allowed to have.
