1. These are some good stories- thanks for sharing I suddenly don't feel too bad. Raiha- yours sounds especially horrid. Anyways five years ago I was getting my thyroid under control because I was diagnosed with hyper active thyroid. My then husband had just bought a used SUV and was treating it better than me. I had to get my car's oil changed at the dealership two towns over from where I live and was feeling pretty crappy, so he agreed to stay at the dealership with our daughter and I could go home and rest. I managed to make it into the driveway before I lost control of my body and puked in the frontyard. To top it all off when he did get home my then husband made sure I hadn't thrown up on the SUV instead of asking if I was okay. And to think we divorced a few months after that.
 2.
Thanks for the Cakesters explanation, Cheebs. :catgirl: I'll make sure to look before I eat as well lol. Also, should I be worried about this? Or is it a joke? (I think the sarcasm detectors in my brain have gone to bed. :animestun)
First off Scary! My ex husband called me Cheebs (yes I know you were talking to Chibi Master AKA Chibi#2 but still) Anyways I work in a nursing home which is pretty much where people go and eventually die- sad but true. I get through it by being sarcastic and the fact that the woman did die right after dinner does make me go :o My sister-in-law's dog ate a Ceriquil of her friend's the other night- He's okay now, but that must've been the most relaxed that dog's been in his entire life.
 3. And a really icky one at that. Sorry. To cut straight to the chase I'm wondering if anyone has any emberassing stories about them throwing up that they wouldn't mind sharing. Yeah... working in elder care and being a mom has hardened me to puke. And I like good stories. Anyways Monday night I was driving home from work with a friend of mine and had been feeling queasy for the past two hours, we stopped at Wendy's and pulled back on to the main road and had just gotten to an intersection when I got the urge. So I threw the car in park, unlocked the door, undid my seatbelt and threw up right in the street leaning out of the car. After I minute I figured I was done so I started driving again. I guess I figured wrong because the next thing I know I'm throwing up again- this time on my dashboard! I pulled over again and repeated the above steps. However this time people stopped and stared. Three asked if I was okay. After seeing that I was calm with having thrown up on myself and the car- my friend handed me some napkins from her Wendy's bag and said that people probably thought we just came from a wild after party. So, does anyone think they can top that, or have any simular stories?
 4.
Watching winter sports makes me feel cold... But I do enjoy watching figure skating and snowboarding!:catgirl:
That may be, but it's been about 7C in Vancouver the past few days, so that's far from cold. I caught the Today show showing Canada's first Olympic gold on home soil and everyone in Vancouver singing O'Canada off key. It was pretty. I also caught the medal ceremony for their second home gold ever tonight. It was moving. I can't quite say what my favourite sport is for the winter games since there isn't any equestrian eventing, but the Hockey is pretty good. I just wish the US and Canadian games weren't total shut outs... I can't wait til they play eachother.
 5.
I could explain, but I warn you fairly that the explanation involves a lot of small details. Suffice to say that you saying your back itched more the more you scratched it told me you had recently showered. If you want, though, I can go through the whole process.... Me ? black Kei ? white Bannister Cat (Stephanie) ? grey Lazy Cat (Gavin) ? . . . whatever, man. Tiny Cat ? a small color, with a white lab coat (she's a doctor)
What about Ceiling cat, Attic cat... this makes me want to bring back the Caturdays thread. Chibi#2: First of all: The Cakester's quote Good times and that should teach you not to believe everything you read tsk. Second: Curel or Eucerine should help. My daughter gets seriously itchy skin and I give her Eucerine. I also blame the cold dry weather and the fact that your house is heated and also dry. Take lukewarm showers that should help. I just had a very yummy fish sandwhich... and I want a salmon burger Friday!
 6. The West Edmonton Mall has 4 dress shops right near eachother on the 2nd level! I can't wait to dress shop. Buying the dress.... different matter altogether. Also people won't stop dying at work. I mean just yesturday one lady died right after dinner- which makes me wonder what they're putting in the food.:animeswea
 7. Eh I'm too tired to remember anything and I have to work both jobs tomorrow. On the bright side Atheists will take care of your pets in case of Rapture.
 8.
XD I remember that Chibi, I think I actually went out and bought some to check to see if they ever went bad. lol. FONT]
Well Knuckles' Girl, I just hope you don't feel sorry for Chibi#2 because she did bring it on herself by leaving them under the bed. Face it people, the only things that don't spoil are honey and twinkies.
 9.
Who: Member since late 2005. Where: British Columbia...now, and forever
Out of morbid curiousity, where in British Columbia? My in laws- well soon to be inlaws are in the Okanagan region, but I have a friend in Ft. Frasier. Ft Frasier- snow supplier of the 2010 Olympic games.
 10.
OBNOXIOUS 2,000th POST!!! I'm so proud.:animesmil
We don't stock Cakesters at my house stale from under the bed or otherwise, so here have a lovely decorated by my daughter cupcake instead. Just watch out because she licked her fingers before applying the M&Ms and cinnamon dots.
 11. Who: Member since November 2003. I've been a member here longer than I was a member of my first marriage LOL :animeswea Where: Joined while living in Central Texas currently living in Western New York State but this is my last year in the Empire State of mind (I HATE that song now!) because next year I'll be living in Washington state. What: Taking a breather from the hassle of working in memory care and hospice directly by working as a Care Tech at a nursing home and per-diem as an RA. I've been a single mom for the past nearly six years to a lovely little girl who I love most of the times but does try my patience. I'm also engaged to a wonderful guy from British Columbia we're getting married next year. I plan on going for my PTA then. I love that I have steady work- I just don't love the hours. I enjoy reading everything, writing when I'm inspired, excersizing and baking. (one evens the other out so I can do both :catgirl:) Currently getting help with planning my cross country wedding from a friend from work. When:Prettty much everywhere that caught my interest and I haven't changed that since. I got here via Trouble Makers and all things naughty. Why: Because sometimes I wander off then come back again. I like being random and just breathing some life here. Favorite things: The over all sense of just say anything and sooner or later you'll get a reply. I also miss the pancake bunny. And Chibi #2 is my lil sis!
 12.
Google needs to put a space in between the y and the a of "ya" and "aussi" for also, then and it'll be a bit closer to correct. Dredging up my high school French I believe it would be more accurately translated as: "Dans chaque fin, c'est un debut aussi" or "Dans chaque fin, c'est aussi un debut" depending on the position of the also. Il y a is translated directed to mean there is, but I think c'est is more accurate in this case. Anyone with better French than me feel free to correct me.
I got the quote from a book and while I remember the quote I never took French in High school, pero soy hablè pequito español. So I just spelled it how it sounded. The actual quote is: Dans chaque fin, il y a un dèbut. Guess we should focus on the fact that I got chaque correct instead of made a mispelling on dans, danse. The translation is: In every end there is also a beginning. And it fits my life for the past five years. Gavin, I'll ask my resident or his wife- they're both French Canadian and speak Canadian and universal French. Them, and one of their daughters and a son in law would know better than me. Oh and Chibi#2 and are are wondering if maybe the PMs have a broke because some people aren't using them to convey what they think we may need to correct and instead correcting the two of us on the boards which is irking our nerves. Also, the party was fun, my daughter and her friends ran through my house for 2hours hyped up on pizza, wings and cupcakes.
 13.
Looks painful... O_O
Actually I think it looks pretty. Are you going to colour it in or just leave it black and white. I really want a new tattoo I already have the saying and the location picked out. I want: Dance chaque fin, il a un debut right between my shoulderblades. The saying translates to: In every end there is also a beginning from French to English. It'd fit perfectly with my butterfly sunflower combination on my right shoulderblade, but I also want to do something about my messed up tattoo on my left shoulderblade. I've an issue with Pilsbury. I had to bake 2 dozen cupcakes today and one box only yeilded twent-one instead of twenty-four! I'm gonna punch that dough boy in the adams apple. Forget poking him! Anyways gotta go, got people coming over in an hour to eat and act crazy. Beat the blah party! Yay!
 14.
Still can't figure out how to get pictures into my posts, so look below!:catgirl: I can't imagine what would happen if they had a leak over that...:animedepr
Yeah, but it looks like a good place to hide some Cakesters! LOL Okay so here's a good joke: A young Canadian soldier was attending some college courses between assignments . He had also completed missions in Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He Looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the young soldier got out of his Chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The young man went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the soldier and asked, "What the hell is the matter with! you? Why did you do that?" Came the reply, "God was too busy today protecting our soldiers who are protecting your right to talk stupid and act like an *******. So, He sent me" And yes, I copied and pasted it from an email a friend of mine sent me, and I am too lazy to correct spelling and grammar because I have a shedload of kids coming over in two hours!
 15. Okay I know this isn't allowed and later mods, repremend me or whater, I'm sorry for knowingly breaking the rules and bumping my thread up again. But I'm kinda shocked that there isn't anything about that Luger from Georgia who died yesturday on the practice run yesturday morning (well morning PST) and I can't go and make a new thread so I may as well add to this one veremonte? It seems to me that if the officials up in Whistler knew about how fast and potentially hazardous the run was they'd made some more safety procautions such as padding the sides or something. Because it added a sad mark to what was so anticipated by many athletes and citizens of many countries. I heard before the opening ceremonies that the Prime Minister went before Parliemnt to ask Canadians to show more verbal patriotism than is characteristic of them. Not that Canadians aren't patriotic-they just show it in a more subdued way than some other countries.i As for the opening ceremony- am I the only one who got confused when that girl from Montrèal started singing the French version of O' Canada right in the middle of the English version. So, my misdeed has been done, and again I do appologize for it. But hey maybe now we can discuss?
 16.
Yeah, can you imagine if bloody period pants became fashionable! "Go ahead, ladies! Bleed on 'em! It's stylish and shows of your feminine qualities!" Feminine my foot. It's during that time that most of us become the least feminine we will ever be! Imagine the advertisement pictures with all the models in stained pants and whatnot! XD
I wish that would happen, I have to wear white pants for work so you can just imagine the fun I've had... toilet paper is no substitute for a pad, but I did read how to turn 2-ply into a light absorbancy tampon. But I'd LOVE to see a picture like that!
 17.
Typical, the only options being American vernacular. Boo we must speed up our plot lest we be consumed. They're generally referred to as soft drinks or fizzy drinks over here, and of all of those on offer I'm partial to a regular Coke, occasionally a 7-Up or Club Orange otherwise.
Hey if I knew how to ask for a gaseosa (sorry I haven't had to spell anything in Spanish for about a decade) in another language I would. And yes here in the Americas we do call them soft drinks too, but dang it I'm lazy!:animeswea
 18. My in-laws are all Canadian and most of them call soda 'pop' which I find odd and confusing. :animesigh I kinda miss the bubble tea from back in the 90's it wasn't that good, but I still miss it. Another good drink that I love in the summer is Sweet Tea and yes I'm from New York but I know how to make it. Yum! Oh word of advice before I go: Don't go to western Pennsylvania and ask for an orange pop, you'll either get a strange look or an orange popsicle.
 19. Okay so I gained 10lbs between September and December and I really want to lose that and then some so I gave up soda- but now I REALLY want a Coca Cola or even a Sprite. So I figured why not torture myself and make this thread? And also include other drinks too First of all I have to ask though is it pop or soda? I call it soda here in Western New York, but I don't know about other people. I think sometimes it's a regional thing though because other people call it pop. But then hey after that what do you like to drink- you know aside from soda. Sorry, my ADD med is wearing off so I may not be making much sense any more. And it's been a crazy few days. So if you need clarification just ask. As for myself after the missing soda thing wore off I fell in love with Crystal Light lemonade and Diet Peach tea Snapple. I'm glad they come in the packets now. I drink that most of the time and V8 Fusion in Peach Mango. But I used to drink a lot of Diet Pepsi and regular Coke. Don't ask me why, but I can't drink regular Pepsi or Diet Coke. It's one of those Chibi #1 things. But I stopped drinking a lot of soda because of what it does to your bones, and I do drink a lot of milk. But tell you what, I'm gonna start babbling now. Then I'll make the poll and post this so everyone else can post.
 20.
Shoot. Um. . . shoot.
PEEK-A-BOO!

Okay I'm gonna just pwn you all.... yeah...
Keh, I got nuthin'
Well my first game not involving my mom removing her hands from her eyes and going "A boo!" would be Ring around the Rosie That game was great. Well that and Duck Duck Goose First board game was Candy Land.. I beat everyone in Candy Land- which may or may not be hard.
 21. I've decided to jump into this thread and announce that I love tampons. I just don't love the ache in my lady bits the first two days. And I usually skip the period all together thanks to taking my birth control non stop. Yep I just skip the non working pills and go straight to the next pack. I do get a killer migrain right before my period and start biting everyone's head off more than usual. But hey it's all in fun and you should come around some time and watch what happens at work when I get mad!
 22. Bruises, well I do have some that I don't know how I got, but the one on my shin is definately from making someone's bed last week. I got my lovely purple mobile phone with the really cool Canadian mobile charm stolen at work Sunday night so now I have a new lovely bright red phone because there are no more purple phones (aside from the one my friend Chey has and I don't want to copy her. So yeah, red phone that says: Hey I like fire! Let's make one. And if I ever find out who stole my phone (and charm) I'll punch them in the neck.
 23.
...Or she'll slit your throat and steal your wallet and leave you dead and decomposing in an alley somewhere in a bad part of town. Who knows?
Or she could strip him naked, cover him with honey, tie him to a stake and leave him on an ant hill. You're right Raiha, the possibilities are endless! And the dying has FINALLY slowed down at Death Manor AKA the home where I work. But I still want to punch someone in the throat. Ain't love grand?
 24.
Well sure it is, with that attitude. :p
Yeah I know... kids these days Sheesh! In other news my friend's fiance could get bit by a moose and my friend would be more concerned about missing the moose. I think I need new saner friends.
 25.
Oh. ****. I need to find a florists in the next 20 minutes or I'm a dead man.
Do they celebrate Valentine's day on the 1st in Ireland? Anyways Chibi #2's opening post reminded me that this month is Beat the Blah month at work. I can't wait for next Friday's Wear Red and White day! I'm going to wear my fiance's I am Canadian t-shirt wee! Pajama day though- not too keen on that. Anyways Valentine's day, I'm not expecting a gift or even a Facebook post from my Canuck because he's forgetful and broke so I've learned from years of dissapointment from different relationships not to expect a damn thing. No offense to my fiance, but I've learned the hard way not to expect or ask for anything. I'm going to go watch my cousin Erin (Aye, my family's Irish and we take it seriously LOL) jump into Lake Ontario for the Polar Plunge to support Special Olympics. Yes there will be pictures of that! Then we're having a party for her at her house. The day before Valentine's Day though I'm having a party for my daughter's friends and a few of my own just to run around, eat junk food and bust a piñata to get candy and toys. Yes I am the best mom ever. :catgirl: Other than that, nothing and I work 13hrs the day after V-day.
