1.
You and your hatred for Spongebob......................what cartoon do you like? You better not say Family Guy or the Simpsons, 'cause those shows are gross and the stuff on there isn't funny AT ALL. How old is the oldest JB brother? I know Nick's 14.................
The Simpsons was funny when they first came out in the late 80's, but I was also in primary and then secondary school in that time. But now it's just played out- shouldn't the kids have graduated by now and have families of their own? Shouldn't Mr.Burns have friggin' died??? (Yes, the extra question marks are justified, so is the smiley) And Family Guy doesn't even cross my radar. My boyfriend likes them, but he's three years younger and a guy. I do like Winx Club- it's an Italian cartoon that 4Kids butchered the crap out of even though there is a perfectly usable English dub that I own thanks to the internet. I also like Jem and the Holograms (best 80's cartoon and maybe even best cartoon ever) Daria and Avatar the Last Air Bender(Okay, definately THE BEST cartoon ever!!!!) But Spongebob is just mindless crap.
 2. For the record- I hate Spongebob, but I can't help but admire him for the power he has to entertain a 4 year old for hours. Also if I broke into a rendition of Little Girls from Annie after seeing these pictures would you all hate me for it? Because for whatever reason that's what popped into my head when I saw them *sigh*:animesigh Still don't like the Jonas Brothers, seriously what is with children born in the 90's trying to dress like they came of age in the 80's? Ick.
 3.
Superbad? Man, that movie was hilarious. I guess you all are just so mature that it offends you, I don't know. Grow a pair. The worst bloody movie ever made? Easy. Michael Bay's Transformers.
Or maybe just maybe some people don't have that sense of humor- I know I don't... ever since I was twenty-four I just don't. And I only watched Transformers for two reasons 1.) my co-worker stuck it in the DVD player at work and 2.) I think Shia LaBeof (or however you spell it) is easy on the eyes. Another bad movie Dare Devil. Yes that's what I said. Glad I didn't waste my money on it. Yeah the soundtrack was good, but the rest was just so unmemorable.
 4. This thread is just too cute to let go. This is a lot like how my daughter is when it's laundry day. She hates being without her blankie for too long Why Allamorph should be glad there is no ceiling cat: Peanut- the cat over on Clare side at work gives the staff this look: Primarily at the residents' meal times Hope you enjoyed.
 5. Yeah I went out looking for some more. I just like the thread and making fun of politics. Plus it's my thread and I have to add some now since I won't be back til Monday. Work is crazy like that This was just too cute and too fitting for here to place in Caturdays Okay this was just too good to pass up: Finally something else relating to now
 6.
If I catch your drift, and I believe I do, you're referring to "Mom jeans". The high rise jeans that come above the belly button, and may or may not have a stretch waistband. Mom jeans also tend to end about 1-2" above the shoes showing just enough of her black socks to tease you.
:animecry: The mom jeans! I hate the mom jeans! My mom won't wear anything but mom jeans and I have it in my mind after the economic crisis has passed to break into my parents bedroom, steal the mom jeans and burn them all in the fire place. What is it in some mother's genetic make up that makes them think tapered legs and high waists are in? They're not, sometimes my mom's bottoms make me shudder which is too bad because she has some cute shoes and she doesn't look her age. Thankfully even though I'm a mom my 'mom jeans' are still just below the waist and flared. I will never wear mom jeans and I can't quite pull off skinny jeans yet. I just don't know how. And reading Vicky's post: Oh crap... you just kinda described my pants. :animeblus I'm 5'5 and I wear average length jeans because the short ones are just too damn short and so the hems of my pants always drag. Especially since I hate heels and can only wear them for short periods of time.
 7.
Yes, it is. But most of the time, when people have sex, it's just for the pleasure, not for love. When someone gets married it's most of the time(hopefully) because they love each other. I'm not talking about a Vegas marriage, a marriage that they spent time on, a marriage in which they spent months engaged. So, it kinda matches up, when a married couple has sex they do it because they love each other and so they can procreate! Isn't it awesome the way some things work??:catgirl:
My brother and sister-in-law were married a few weeks ago in Vegas and have been in a relationship for over seven years so I take offense to that statement. Some people might get married in Vegas because they just like the place and you can get a good deal. Not because they're drunk and there's a twenty-four hour drive thru chapel. Also being engaged for months isn't always the sign of a good marriage, I was enaged to my ex-husband for over a year and since there is an ex before husband you all can imagine how that turned out. :animesigh. I have sex with my boyfriend for two main reasons because I love him and because I like it. Yes I am admiting on the OB that I like sex- which way to Oprah? :animeblus Maybe some day I'll have it to pro-create, but the pro-creating deal isn't all it's cracked up to be. That said (consentiual) sex is done because people love eachother and it feels good. People also have sex out of boredum, pity, appeasement (IE: okay if I sleep with you will you shut up about my shoes all over your side of the closet?) attention, it's cheaper than therapy, Escape (I mean have you looked at the economy lately? I'd rather get laid, thanks) to feel wanted, because there's nothing on TV or just because they want to. Most of the time it has nothing to do with building a family. So why should sexuality matter? That said if gays and lesbians having sex bothers you, then let them get married. Because like the old jokegoes: How do you get a woman to stop having sex? Marry her.
 8.
Wow. It's cool that you wear emo style.....................anyways, what styles do you find attractive on the opposite sex?
I like when guys wear t-shirts, jeans and nice sneakers. Which is exactly why my boyfriend needs another make over :animesigh I started on him a few months ago, but now his sneakers are ugly and he only owns one pair. How does that work? I mean I have like six pairs of sneakers alone. Getting slightly dressed up is nice too. I like guys who at least look like they care what they look like, but don't get hung up on it. What I want to know is what is up with guys wearing their pants down past their butts. How is that attractive?
 9. Using two of the most popular references I give you this picture: and this one Sure the second one isn't a cat, but like who cares. Oh and I think I found the reason we don't have a ceiling cat: Ceiling cat= bad influence

 11.
I'm currently listening to Mother Earth by Within Temptation. Just something I ran into while browsing online. Not sure if I like it or not. It does have a nice clean sound to it. The vocals are pleasant to listen to, which is always a plus.
Within Temptation is my current obsession band and I highly recommend their music. I have The Heart of Everything and The Silent Force and I espcially love the songs See Who I Am, Angels, Hand of Sorrow and The Cross great music.
 12. Okay the above post makes no sense to me and is badly typed so I'll ignore it just like I ignore most of the GOP I think Obama would be a breath of fresh air to the states. Heck maybe now our allies will like us since right now they don't and maybe now we'd have health care. That's all I have to say right now because I have to go to bed.
 13. More on basement cat, because I blame basement cat for a lot of stuff and like to talk about basement cat: Oh yeah, my Caturday iz next friday: And finally because I think it belongs here too:
 14. Yay! My thread is still working! Okays I'll use this picture: Hope you like it
 15.
Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee ever.
I'm sorry but I have to object. Tim Horton's has better coffee than Dunkin Donuts. I don't like Dunkin Donuts coffee because to me it's like there's an after taste, Timmy Ho's doesn't have that. McDonald's has good coffee too. I love their chocolate coffee drinks... yum....:love Oh here's a tip, never drink Starbucks coffee- just get their speciality drinks. They burn their coffee beans and it's just nasty.:p I make strong coffee- I bought some ground coffee from Wegmans and instead of measuring it out I just dump it in til the coffee filter is 1/3 full then brew it at work. I think it gets drunk. I need to go buy creamer Friday though because I work at 6AM on Saturday and Monday (SUnday is 3-11PM) I don't know how else to say it, but I love my coffee like I love my guys strong and only slightly sweet with a good tan :animesmil
 16.
Mine is actually a funny and long story but I'll try to make it as short as possible. In high school my friends and I got into Gundam Wing pretty good and we realized with some humor that if I grew my hair out and put it into a long braid I would look identical to Duo Maxwell, well they all of a sudden just started calling me Duo and it stuck. Sometimes I'm not really sure what they call me more, my real name or Duo. So that's why mine is what it is. I've been known as Duo for as long as I can remember. My user name is a context of my husbands nick name Knuckles, my small title is just a funny saying I heard my husband say once, he was joking with a couple of his buddies and told them he was the mofia prince and I'm married to him so there's that.
If we were rating these ones I'd give you a 1,000 out of 10 because Duo Maxwell is my favorite Gundam pilot. Also I'd say you're still in love since your custom title and your username are about your husband. So what is everyone else's signatures saying to everyone else?
 17.
In Vegas? I've never had any problem with the courts myself. Though I haven't been to any other court, or served Jury Duty for any other state.
My brother and sister-in-law were in Vegas during the trial- they had to go to the Carson County courthouse where the trial was being held and I've been told it was a total zoo there.
 18. I missed most of the debate last night due to having to get residents to bed and some guy continuously hitting the doors (IE: Trying to get out or being lost) But I did catch a lot on the economy. Loved McCain's explanation of how Obama's policies are 'Like trying to nail Jell-O to the wall' He probably got most of the LeRoy vote for that comment (FEI: LeRoy, New York is the birthplace of Jell-O) So if anyone did see most or all of it can you clue me in a little more. I did also see that McCain dodged a lot on health care. Shame really
 19.
I've never had it. I'm waiting for the one night I'll be overloaded with work and I'll drink my first cup of black coffee and experience the wonders of caffeine. But I would never drink it for fun.
Don't do it at night it'll screw you up. Do it in the morning when you need it. Like I said I drink it for work related reasons (or when I'm driving long distances) Also plain black coffee with nothing is just icky. After the morning is done with I usually have tea, juice or milk and try to avoid soda at all costs (except for the occasional diet Pepsi or regular Coke) because I've usually consumed two cups of coffee between 6:30-9:30AM Now that I'm thinking of it there's a Starbucks across the street from the library I'm in and I really want a green tea latte. But I had one last night so it can probably wait.... Yeah :animedepr
 20.
Rebirth of the old OB AIM Chats huh ? Sounds good to me, probably the only thing we need to do there is to get familiar with one anothers AIM handles so people know who's actually in the chat. Of course that first barage of "Hey" and "Who's this" is always fun. ^_^ If this is successful, we really should try and make it a regular, even weekly thing.
Oh but the 'Hey who the Hell is this: Why do you have my IM? is so much fun... at least the first three times. But I agree we should get familiar with AIM handles. Most everyone who has one has it in their member profile. But sometimes people don't check those so maybe we could just list our handles in our posts? (I'm CrazyKaligirl81) And this could be fun as a weekly thing- at least it would offer more interesting chat fodder to be copied and pasted into someone's signature.
 21. Blame Allamorph because I am. I wanted a coffee thread because I don't think we have a coffee thread and we need a coffee thread. Hey, the lounge needs a caffiene boost and I'm doing my part. So, coffee. Do you like it or dislike it? How do you like it? When did you find out you had an addiction or at least a sudden desire for coffee? Yes as you can see this thread is off the top of my head. As for myself I never really liked coffee until I started taking my home health assistant course while I was cleaning planes until 3AM and needed something to keep me awake. There was a Delta Sonic across the street from where I was taking the course and I decided that since coffee is cheap and caffienated I'd go buy some. After I completed the requirements for New York state I still loved my coffee. I especially loved when thye people I was taking care of gave me coffee. I had a German couple where the husband made French press coffee every morning- damn that was good! Now I still need my coffee- at least when I have to be up before 8AM. I really like Tim Horton's coffee and usually get a medium hazelnut double double on my way in to work since there's a Tim Horton's right around the corner from where I work- which is probably the case for most people. And I don't think I have an addiction. So, what about anyone else?
 22. Kind of on the same premise as What has playing video games taught you, but for anime instead. Because I actually watch anime and I need something to do. So what I've learned from Anime is: 1.) It is entirely possible to leap fifty-two stories and live (Heero Yuy- Gundam Wing) 2.) Chasing after someone who wants to kill you is a good idea (Relena Peacecraft/ Dorlan Gundam Wing) 3.) The laws of exchange are very defined and bringing people back from the dead always turns out really nasty-Full Metal Alchemist 4.) Books don't eat people, but they will cause you to end up in strange worlds- Fushigi Yugi 5.) Jumping down ancient wells will land you in Fuedal Japan- InuYasha 6.) Pink is a perfectly natural hair color- pretty much any anime 7.) You should pretty much expect your teacher to spaz every once in a while- Azumanga Daioh! 8.) Whatever you do stay away from Tokyo Tower unless you want to end up in an alternate dimension or get your butt kicked by a man who looks like a woman- Sailor Moon and Magic Knight Rayearth- but probably other anime as well. That's all I can think of for now, but I think I might watch more anime and think of more things I've learned. Until then- please participate
 23. About damn time. I heard the courthouse in Las Vegas was an absolute zoo.
 24.
I like the idea of an AIM chat. I'm always on AIM so that shouldn't be a problem for me. I'm looking forward to getting more acquainted with you guys!
Yeah same here, in fact I'm on AIM now if anyone cares. Meeting new peoiple and getting to know old ones is actually kind of enjoyable. For the most part.
