1.
Thank god I'm methodist, I can't stand catholics. Oi, they just annoy me.
Well ignorant people annoy me... reguardless of religion.
Well then. I'm pro-choice. The one thing that I think is funny about most abortion debates is that people call abortion "murder," when really, in most cases, the fetus is aborted before it developes any human characteristics. Especially when it doesn't have a brain or heart. Yet, do we call women who are menstruating murderers? Because really, they are ejecting a potential life source. Just like abortion. ;)
And with that same thought in mind should male mastrubation be considered reckless abandonment since the sperm wasn't actively seeking an egg? On a more serious note. It's interesting that you brought that up because many people who are anti-Abortion are also anti-birth control because of the misconception that what birthcontrol does is kill a fertilized egg when in reality what happens is birth control keeps the egg from being fertilized in the first place. The way I see it is if you're against abortion then why not support a method that will reduce the need? Finally to address the comment that was made about being pregnant and being in labor is punishment for having sex. Sure some aspects of pregnancy and birth aren't that fun, but that pregnancy tummy makes a great arm rest and they give you great drugs when you're in labor. So it's really not that bad.
 2. Well I don't think this has been asked in a while so I decided to revive it. I wasn't thinking much about the issue until the other day when I was on my way to work after dropping my daughter off at Day Care. I found myself behind this one car that said: You can't be Catholic and Pro Abortion. Well sorry, but I was raised Catholic... not following as devoutly as I should, but that's not the point. I'm very pro-choice and I don't consider pro-choice to be the same as pro-abortion because I would never get one myself and I believe that if a friend of mine had come to me telling me that she was thinking of getting an abortion I'd try to talk her out of it. But in the end I'd [hopefully] realize that the decision was hers to make, not mine. Abortion is a right and I believe that legal abortions should be protected instead of taken away. So, who's with me and who's against me?
 3. I love country music and it seems as though I may be the only one on this board who listens to it at all. I mean I like other things too, Broadway, Alternative, even *gasp* pop. But Country is a big part of my life. I like some of the older stuff like Merl Haggard and Johnny Cash. But I thing some of the new artists are good too. A new favorite of mine is Sarah Buxton. She released an album Tuesday, but it's online not in stores. So I can't get it yet.... Which sucks because I really like her debut single: That Kind of Day. As for anyone else liking country music in my family I really don't think so. My brother listens to Rap and R&B. My parents don't care either way but they both listen to the local soft rock station. I think the only people who really share my love of country are my friends. But not my boyfriend because he equates Keith Urban and Kelly Pickler with sheer torture. Go figure.
 4.
All Quiet On The Western Front, c. 1930. I'd recommend the book rather than the film, although it is nice to get a visual perspective on the whole German situation of WWI. A downside is that there is more than just a touch of Hollywood in it, but the story is still there I suppose.
Funny you should mention that movie. I saw a parody of it called All Quiet on the Canine Front As the title suggests they used dogs instead of people. But it was very amusing. And nicely done. Okay so they gave the dogs voice overs and dressed them up... and maybe just maybe I'm easily amused, but I liked that movie.
 5. Oh yes, the DMV... you'd think that since one of the ones in my city is located inside a mall they'd give you those little buzzers like they do in over-crowded resturaunts. Fat chance of that happening. My advice for a visit to the DMV bring a book maybe some magazines and a snack. Try to pawn your toddler off on your parents before getting there, believe me it makes everything a lot less hectice. Also if you're living in central Texas trying to get your name hyphenated on your driver's liscence and the woman tries to tell you she can't do it because then your middle name will just be an initial tell her that it's too bad, but that's how you want it. Yeah the name thing is one of my DMV stories. It's not too interesting because that's really all that happened. Okay let me rephrase that.. that's not all that happened, this woman went on for twenty minutes about why I should just stick with my married name on my license so I could fit my middle name (Elizabeth) on there. I don't know why it bothered her more than it bothered me. But I will say that the picture on my Texas Driver's license was one of my best ever. And about the DL pictures, I think that the DMV should give you some test shots in different poses and let you choose which one you like better because after all you will be displaying this picture to complete strangers whenever you want to drink in public or are arrested.
 6.
Oh, we have two McDonald'ses around our town. Yay. :)
Well we have three McDonalds, Two Burger Kings an Arby's and a KFC so PWNage is mine! :animesmil
 7.
Peach Girl? Bleh! I read like 10 pages of one volume and I was disgusted. What I read was the main girl waking up in someone's bed and she couldn't believe she was there and that she apparently had sex or something. From what I got from that... "I can't believe I slept with a guy? Oh my gosh! I'm dress like a slut and I feel like one now." I was not impressed.
I think Miwa Ueda drew Momo that way to show that you can't judge a person by how they look. Because through all 18 volumes of the manga
Momo never actually had sex... hells she had a hard time kissing a guy some of the time. The stuff in the condom was just shampoo and Sae had done something to her drink
Hey I liked the manga and I'm glad it's an anime now...
 8. Oh man I hope I spelled that correctly. Anyway I wanted to know because this Friday is Friday the 13th and a lot of people have some kind of fear about that day. Or just some superstitions in general. As for myself I'm not worried about Friday the 13th. Actually I'm quite lucky on that day so I may just go buy a lotto ticket. Heh who knows. So anyone else care to share?
 9. At this precise moment I'm a nice stable 6.5. It's pouring outside and I'm on my seventeenth straight day of work. The company I work for wants me to take an online test, but I don't have my employee number. I have to finish a timeline, I have three more hours of work to go two of them are in a block then one from 7:30-8:30. My employer can't figure out how to correctly opperate a schedule so I keep getting threatened with write ups for assignments I was never given and yet my company is also the main ambulance company for Monroe County :animeangr Oh and I've been up and running since 6:15 this morning But I'm also currently enjoying a delicious brownie sundae with mint chip ice cream, chocolate syrup and redi-whip. My friend will be sending my dvds by the end of the week I know I'm getting a shedload of goodies from Canada for my birthday. And unlike last year I am currently employed and I have my car back... plus I have a really sweet boyfriend who will stay up until after 3AM his time to make sure I'm getting ready for work when I go to check directions for my assignments. So yeah 6.5... Hey let's make that a 6.75
 10.
Yeah, it really is unfortunate. Can you believe that people are pushing for concealed weapons to be legal?
It depends on what state you live in and if you have a permit to carry a concealed weapon such as a hand gun. But it just goes back to our second ammendment (?) which grants us (Americans) the right to bear arms. Speaking of hand guns, they're prohibited in Canada because they can be easily concealed. And hey, I smell a debate thread coming on.
 11. Ooh yeah I get to pimp my little piece of New York! Wahoo....:animesigh. Well prepare to get schooled. I live in Rochester, New York... any more direct would make people wonder. Anywho, Kodak and Xerox are here and used to be big employers. But through the years they've suffered a lot of lay offs, especially Kodak. We still have Bausche and Lomb and now Paychex. My county boarders Lake Ontario. We tried to have a fast ferry to get us the scant 70 miles from here to Toronto Ontario Canada. But that deal kind of fell through so we have to fall back on the old stand-by which is driving from East to West (Buffalo) Then over the PEace Bridge into Ontario. So what should really only take 1.5 hours takes three hours. We have a joke about that- You know you're from Rochester when you live seventy miles from Toronto and it takes you three hours to get there. The nickname of my city was originally the Flour City because of all the mills situated on the upper and lower falls of the Genessee River. It was changed to the Flower City during the last century. This is oppropriate because in May we have the Lilac Festival at Highland Park and in June we have the Maplewood Rose Festival. Speaking of festivals a lot of the towns here are settled along the Erie Canal two of which are Spencerport and Fairport which have their Canal days a month apart. What the Canal Days are are Weekend festivals along one main street in the village which is along a portion of the Canal. There are also a lot of cemetaries here. One of the most famous is Mt. Hope Cemetary which was erected in 1832 as one of the first public cemetaries in the country. There are a lot of tombstones in German. Also two famous people are buried there: Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony. The Susan B. Anthony house is still standing in Downtown Rochester and is open for tours. I'd continue, but I'm probably boring everyone to death so I'll talk about the lake you can't swim in and our local amusement park with a century old wooden rollercoaster another time.
 12.
Don't go near a DDR machine then, they are littered by songs by Be For U. I don't really have a problem with them, they are just like J-pop's version of the Spice Girls or RBD. But I think that hating them just because your friend obsseses over them is a little extreme.
You only say that because you didn't have to listen to him gush about them for two months straight... every email, every IM, ever away message and every phone call. Trust me it gets old and annoying. But so did Shake It by Andre 3000 (or whoever that was) a few years back and I can almost tolerate that song now... so maybe in another five years I'll put up with that band.
 13.
******** I can't. For one, I don't own an iPod; second, I loathe Gwen as a solo artist, I've never had that song on any music player I've had, be it CD or just my computer. I don't even listen to any radio stations that play it
I'm going to second that motion. And not just because I don't own an iPod. I liked No Doubt. They had some good tracks and Gwen Stefani was a wonderful artist back in the day (I even have their greatest hits CD) But something happened when she decided to go solo and hired her Harijuko (sp?) girls and launched LAMB. That girl should just go into hibernation until she comes to her senses. Paris Hilton... okay so that's like a given... I mean who likes Paris Hilton? Even as a person who really likes that snotty stuck up self absorbed *pulls out a thesourus* no-breasted uh... witch? No wonder her dog kept running away! Practically any screaming metal band ever invented. I love yelling and everything, but when your singing voice sounds like you've got something caught in a meat grinder it's time to throw in the towel. Rush. I'm not just saying this because it was my ex's favorite band. I'm saying this because every damn song of theirs sounded the same with a few tweaks in the rhythm, the lyrics or the tempo. B4U- Dammit all I don't even know or care if it's really Be 4 You or whatever. But they're some J-Pop band that a friend of mine is obsessed with. He talks about them and obsesses about them so much that I don't even want to hear any of their songs. I've already determined that they suck and that I want to pierce my own ear drums if I'm ever forced to listen to a CD of theirs. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus: No one has mentioned them yet.. shocker. I liked their one song- Face Down, but the rest of the CD is horrendous. I think I would have been better off buying Danielle Peck's self titled album and a large double double. And now I'm done... if you'll excuse me I have to go do something besides rant.
 14. My daughter emptied the contents of my purse into a laundry basket over the weekend. Before she did, this is what was in my itty bitty bag: Cell Phone I can't leave home without it because there's always a change to my schedule. Either an addition or a cancellation wallet- Since it has my DL it's another necessity. Although because of my two year old I have two licenses. One is always in my car and the other is always in my wallet... unless Abby gets to it. Excendrine Migraine I'm prone to head aches. If I pop 2 of these, I'm good all day Philosophy Mint Body Lotion- This stuff is so thick and smells like a Peppermint patty. Of course it's also a bit of money so I have to use it sparingly. Glasses wipes Because sometimes you're just too lazy to wear contacts. I stick a few of them in my wallet $50 USD I'm trying to break myself of my debit card habit. And I think I'm doing rather well. Lip gloss- One by Philosophy in raspberry sorbet and the other one from Victoria's Secret in Cherry bomb. I'm a brand whore. Hawaiian Vanilla Lip balm My mom got it for me in Hawaii and it smells more like maple syrup than vanilla. But it works great. Well, that's all that I could stick in that purse... and now I have to go to work.
 15. I'm tired so I'm just going to go with the obvious: 1.) InuYasha 2.) Ranma1/2 3.) Naruto 4.) Yu-Gi-Oh 5.) Get Ed! (wait... is that an anime?) 6.) Akira
 16. I don't always dream, but when I do they're rather strange and I do tend to remember them. I had a very odd one back when I was pregnant. It was after my second ultrasound when I was positive I was having a girl (which is what I have ) and in this dream I went into labor and gave birth to a boy... not only that but when they handed me the kid he was about two years old an I kept saying that's not mine, I was supposed to have a girl. But that's not too out of the ordinary since pregnancy triggers all sorts of strange things. I've heard of lucid dreaming, but I'm not all that familiar with it.
 17.
I used to have this wicked addiction to vanilla coke, because it was like sweet, sweet nectar. I gave up pop a few years ago... I've been drinking every now and then the past couple of months, but apparently they don't make it anymore. Sucks.
Hey Nerdsy, I have some good news. You can make your own Vanilla Coke with just some vanilla extract and regular Coke. It works like a charm. That way you can even control the ammount of vanilla. :animestun
 18. Well it's good to see that this thread is still running. I don't know if I've mentioned this yet, so I'd better do it now. I am addicted to orange peel shrimp and chicken lettuce wraps from PF Chang's. Actually can I just have a PF Chang's addiction all together? Because that's just more accurate. Oh yeah and I also have an addiction for Abbots Frozen Custard which you can only get up here in Rochester- although according to a newspaper article a few weeks ago it's becoming availble in some town down in Florida. But now I have a very good reason not to leave my home town.
 19.
canada. The walk home would be less difficult, and I might find english speakers more easily. would you rather get both your middle fingers cut off OR have a v-chip in your throat that shocks you when you cuss consider all reprecussions of both.
Cut off both my middle fingers, I don't care. I can find another way to tell ppl to F- off. I'm very resourceful Well this is boring but I have to ask Would you rather: Spend a day as DB2007 doing whatever it is he does or Spend the day as a professional Bull rider? Either way the possibilities are endless.
 20.
I'll take #1, 'cause I've always wondered how oysters manage it. Showers would be awkward, though.... I'd also probably develop a healthy dislike of Super Soakers. Would you rather... ...spill steaming hot coffee all over your shirt? OR ...trip and fall face-first down a short flight of stairs ? say, four steps?
I pick tripping and falling. I do it enough already so once more down a flight of stairs won't do much to me. Okay my turn again. I'm going to stick with the basics Would you rather be armed with a basic crash course in French then dropped down in a small town in Québec Canada? (Note: Québec French is a lot different from Parisian and universal French) or Be armed with a basic knowlege of Continental Italian then dropped into a small town on the Island of Sicily? It's a hard choice because either way you only have one dialect of the language and there's no garantee that the people you meet will understand you. Hells my friend in Québec hardly understands me and he speaks English.
 21.
This is true Beauty...
No... that's what horror movies are made of. This is true beauty. Although which person in the picture I'm refering to is hard to say.
 22.
Would you rather..... Have extremely bad ADD and be forced to live with the condition Or Have your ADD be fixed with pills that, as a side effect, make you zombie/robot-like
Well seeing as though I've already done option two and it didn't work for me and option one actually helps in my job because then I can multi task I'd have to say option one because I live with ADD. I'll make this one easy Would you rather Go to an amusement park with your best friend and ride every ride until you both throw up or Go on a cross country road trip with DB2007?
 23. Due to the Transformer's movie coming out this month and the fact that a friend of mine has gotten my both She'Ra Princess of Power DVDs I've decided to start reminiscing about TV shows that you may have watched as a kid. I can't get a good post up now since I have a migrain. But I remember Rainbow Bright being one of my favorites. I even went as Shy Violet for halloween one year in a costume that my mom made... I even had a wig made from purple yarn! Another good one was Jem and the Holograms., It really fit in with the 80's. Music videos, hair bands and trying to give kids subliminal messages through animation. Loved it. So who else wants to share?
 24. Sorry about the lack of info- 11.25 hours of work- thanks Allamorph for trying to search for the stuff. Okay the basics are that my daughter and I are New York residents. She was born here in Upstate New York, has never lived in Texas. The court up here has already decided that the Texas divorce (While having jurisidiction over our marriage) has no jurisdiction over our daughter. Even the town police who came to my house back in February came to that conclusion. (Long story short on that, he was forced by my town's police to leave my property and was almost arrested.) Our daughter is nearly three years old. My ex is a member of the U.S. Army so he's been out of her life for most of the time she was born through no fault of his own. He's also re-married to the woman he had been seeing while we were married, but that's not really the point. They were living at Ft. Drum NY up until May and have moved to Ft. Bliss TX. He's missed visits that were approved by the court because he didn't feel like driving three hours. He missed one because it was his step-daughter's 12th birthday and even told the law guardian it was a military obligation that kept him from coming that weekend (He had a dentist appointment) He skipped his last visit in New York prior to moving to Texas claiming that he was too busy packing. And he's now allowed virtual visits and phone calls once a week. He claims he can't find his web cam. We have had approximately ten previous court dates where we have tried to reach an agreement in visitation. The two most recent have resulted in him thinking that our 2 year old should be allowed to stay with him in TX for the entire summer. Of course that didn't happen. I'm just at my wits end on this because he has a tendancy to be a very vindictive person when he can't get his own way. And now I have no idea what else to add except can we change my screen name on this board and I have to get to work. Ciao
 25. Hey I don't know how it managed to come down to this, but it has. I actually have to go to trial with my ex husband over custody/ visitation of our daughter because I wouldn't let her go to Texas with him. Long story short I have to go to a 2 day trial this month and I'm nervous. I know I haven't been on here that much recently and I might grate on a few people's nerves. But if anyone has any advice or support I'd appreciate it. Because I'm either gonna start crying or something soon... Thanks
