The Used

Yeah I've heard of the Used. I've also heard of the Killers (If I hear Mr. Brightside one more time I'm going to shoot a radio) I don't own one of their cds though and i think I'll refrain from doing so since they aren't really my type.
  2.
I know that in my country if you insulted St.Richard (The Rocket Richard, that is) you'd be torn from crotch to crown and your guts would be used to hang your assorted body parts around the neighborhood.
Oh cool I have to add that to my list of things to do! Let's see, my former brother-in-law's name is Shawn Kelly. His mom is probably to dumb to remember to pronounce the Gaelic spelling of his first name (Sean)correctly. I also knew a boy from school who had the misfortune of being Matthew Scott Jordan- you don't get more redneck than having three first names even if one is your last name. I do know a Sean McGrain and there's not much I can add to that. My endocrinologist's name is Dr. Bingham. My OBGYN's is Dr. Williams. And there is a person on this place named William Ryan. My daughter's pediatrician is Preti Patel- she's Indian (as in from the country of India) Nothing else.
  3. Oh me next, please since I have two last names to talk about. Ok, more than two, but who are you to complain? My maiden name is Donnelly. It's a good Irish surname meaning brown haired (I think, I have to look it up again) And it's not very common either. But apparently if you're one of the few Irish families in a majorly Italian Catholic Church it's easy to mess up and pronounce it Doneli My married name is Crisler and pronounced the way it's spelled, but that's a very hard concept to grasp for some people. You see for some reason everyone wants to say Chrysler instead. And it doesn't help that my ex's name is Lincoln. Oh and before I forget Crisler is German, I think it's derived from Christ then a few other things, mine's cooler. But my daughter is going to be Abigail Crisler, my labor wasn't bad enough to warrant her being Abigail Donnelly-Crisler. I have some good friend names too. My best friend's last name is Kapica which is of Polish origin. Lincoln began to call her Kapica-chu and it stuck. Her daughter's last name is Rush since the jerk was there to sign the birth certificate but hasn't been seen in a few months. You can just picture the jokes in a few years (Ahem- there is a band named Rush) My other close friend is Christina Keogh. Now I'm sure that all us Irish folk out here know enough not to pronounce the gh, but some people don't. :animeswea I had a teacher for both Chemistry (junior Year) and Biology (senior year) NAmed Mr. Mislovececk... I think that was how it was spelled. Fortunately he let us call him Mr. M My cousin Michael's last name is Bilous- I think it's Slovac, but it could just be polish since when my aunt was married to his dad she learned to make puttaheads (perrogi) I think he got into a fight once since someone pronounced it bile lous My mom's maiden name is Henning (that goes for her sister's as well) I believe that's Dutch, but the family claims to be German Irish. Her mom's maiden name is Donohue. Variations of that include but are not limited to: Donoghue, Donahue and Donaghue. Amazingly enough it's still mispronounced. My aunt Kathy (who's new married name is Moore, but was Allen) worked with a lady who's name- I'm not making this up- was Kitty Peed. And I had a roommate named Joe McIntyre. You know like that New Kid on the Block guy. No wonder he was such a piece of annoyance.
  4.
It's kinda funny when they call me a Satanist, but... whatever. Me
  5.
Mitch, I think it's something other than "just who you are." Because quite frankly, I don't see how anyone can minimize the kind of life Jennings lived, or minimize people's sorrow over his passing, if they actually knew anything about the guy or weren't so concerned with seeming unfeeling because they believed it to be somehow better than actually showing emotion every once in a while. Read up on Jennings' life, Mitch. If that doesn't move you the slightest bit...you're closing yourself off out of misguided stupidity. No offense.
And in other news tonight, the world comes to a screeching halt when Chibi Horsewoman agrees with Siren, more at eleven.
  6.
I don't get brokenhearted nor sad when someone dies. I live knowing that, somewhere out there, someone's dying. Giving those last breaths, and their life's leaving them. I live knowing death is always among us. I'm just glad everyone lived as long as they get to. That's all. We should be happy someone lived rather than sad they died.
While I agree with your last statement I think that your first post along with Chaos' were a bit too... hard on some people. Have some respect for the dead. That said I didn't even know he was sick until last night. I feel bad for his family it's hard to lose someone.
  7.
Maybe it's just my logical mind, but I have rejected religion as a whole. I am looked down upon sometimes because I am different. Would anyone want me to be just like them? This is my honest opinion, take it as you will: Religion is a load of ****. I'm not trying to bash anyone that follows religion, but this is how I feel. I don't feel the need to believe what anyone else believes. Religion has killed so many, just to give some hope that there is something better than our miserable little lives.
I have to agree with Morpheus
Ryan
to an extent. Yes in some ways religion is just a load of crap used to legitamise mass murders, suicide bombings and dissaproval. But to some people it's a way to keep sane in an insane world. People draw strength from their faith and use it to get through life. So while it may seem useless to some people, it's very useful to others. Not everyone uses religion in a violent manner. I don't look down on Morpheus for believing what he does, I just don't agree with him.
  8. I'm not really sure what to say. I was sitting here listening to the tv in the background and this guy comes on to say that Peter Jennings has died from Lung Cancer. You can probably go on ABC.com to find out more. I just figured I'd tell everyone since I seem to be the one mentioning who has died.

Oh and so is your spelling. InuYasha was good at first, but after a while the plot and the scenes just blend together and make your head hurt. The only good part about the show continuing is Bankotsu because without him and Sesshomaru the show is almost unbearable in later episodes. That's all I have to say.
  10.
i think marylin manson would punch you in the face... honestly laws are only restrictive when you go against them... i belive that country is trying to preserve a more pure and simple way of life... if you know anything about history you'd know that just about every civilization falls apart right after or when their about to reach their peak... just look at the roman empire... and look how much it mirrors our own! i know this is off topic but... i think their really wise in doing things like keeping women covered up all the time! i mean take an honest look back in your life... how many of your problems had something to do with some girl that you liked? and did you even really like her? ... that whole problem wouldnt have even happend if the girl was covered! im not saying we need to switch to that what im saying is its sickning to see some one be so double minded... you accept gays? but not ppl with a different way of life? besides that its not like they live anywhere near us... we dont have to worry about it that much
Off TopicI have a ten month old who is gtting her top canines in (Drix or Siren if you read this do either of you know pediatric stuff? Nothing major I'm just wondering if it's normal) so she's teething and waking me up at all hours of the night so I'm tired and this may not make too much sense. On topic You my friend are an idiot and you have my sympathies. Who exactly is Marilyn Manson and why would she punch someone? I don't understand how keeping homosexuals out of the mainstream can keep a society in a more pure and simple way of life. Killing people for any reason makes a society as a whole more complicated because the communities are constantly wondering what infraction will cause a severe penalty next. As for the hajib (where is Chaibachou (sp?) when you need her?) and other articles of clothing, those are worn out of respect for their religion. Both men and women of the Muslim faith are not allowed to show their arms or legs. At least I think I'm getting this right. Man I need a book on Islam right now! I'm going to refrain from adding anything else to this person. This is the same country that allows honor killings if the woman is raped. It doesn't matter that the woman is the victim it's advocated anyway. The society as a whole is corrupted by extremists prtraying their violence as part of a religion.
  11.
If you had the cure for cancer, the ability to save millions of people from a mortal death, wouldn't you share it? Wouldn't you want people to know so they wouldn't have to die needlessly? If you knew how to save people from an eternal death, wouldn't you share it? Wouldn't you want people to know so they wouldn't have to suffer needlessly? After all, what is a mortal death compared to eternal suffering? You may argue that this is uncomparable because cancer is a very tangible desease whereas Hell is a belief of a certain religion. But to Christians (eh, except the Lutherans...) Hell is as real as cancer, and even moreso. To Christians, Hell is worse, because cancer will eventually fade into non-existance while Hell is eternal, and much more painful. This is a Christian's motivation. Of course, offering someone the cure to cancer could also be considered imposing one's will on another. Just remember that while Christians may be persistant, we aren't forcing you to believe. It's your own choice, no one else can make it for you. (It's not our place to condemn you because you didn't choose to believe, either. We will simply believe you are wrong ;) ) You know, the fact that so many Christians can't seem to agree on anything would be funny if it weren't so sad. :animeswea
Yes, but to some people (even some Christians who are people too, but you know what I mean) Hell does not exist or is only temporary. What can happen to you when you're reincarnated is a completely different matter. I don't mind discussing religion with other people. I like debates, I enjoy learning and helping others learn what I practice. That said I don't want to be told that I'm wrong if I haven't told the other person that they are wrong and I expect to be treated with respect when I'm discussing what I believe since that's what you'll get from me. You can go ahead and tell me about hell all you want, but don't expect to convert me or believe what you say because honestly I don't expect to be believed about being an empath or healing someone's tongue piercing with Basil Oregano and cinnamon being burnt on a charcoal brasir. But if you want to go right ahead. I don't like having religion being crammed down my throat and being told I'm going to Hell if I don't believe the way someone else does. I can't go to hell because I don't believe in Hell. I also can't worship Satan because I don't believe in Satan. Satan is a Christian belief. That's all I have to say until I come home from work tomorrow. :animesigh
  12.
. God loves you and will give you evrythign you could ever want and need .
Need? Well, maybe except that I need a job that gets the bills paid and while doing magick to help me find a job will get the ball rolling, I won't get a job unless I get off my butt and look. That's why the saying 'God helps those who help themselves' is so true. As for want, well, I want this one guy at work.... Okay bad example, and I could do magick to get him, but it would be wrong since I'd be messing with free will. And then I'd get some really bad kharmic retribution which would suck. Oh and while I brought up work I got into an infamous religion discussion today because this one guy who was starting with me said he was going to Hell. I made the mistake (?) of saying I didn't believe in Hell, I believe in kharmic retribution because I'm not Christian I'm Wiccan This one lady said (and I quote) 'Well, that religion doesn't exist. I teach social studies (big *u**i** deal, you have a teaching degree) and we talk about all religions but that one. So it's not real.' I said, Jamie Paganism is one of the oldest known religions, it is real and I practice it. She kept insisting it wasn't real and looking at me like I'm stupid (because trust me most people there think I'm an idiot) then this other guy (I mentioned him in the second paragraph hint) said that I can believe whatever I want, it doesn't matter what someone else is saying and then he handed me a broom. I told him that i wished that myth was real. I plan on bringing one of my books on paganism to work on Monday. If Jamie wants to start on religion again I'll just tell her to read. Because she's the idiot with the teaching certificate, not me.
  13.
Just curious but... What, by definition, makes music Metal as opposed to Rock?
The people who decide which classification the music goes in... dur.
  14.
I can't stand Mountain Dew; it tastes absolutely revolting to me. Ugh.
I agree with you there, I can't stand Mountain Dew either. I got into a conversation with a guy at work about how I thought Mountain Dew was disgusting and he thought I didn't know what I was talking about. I think I'd rather drink Pepsi than Mountain dew any day.
  15. Has there ever been a thread like this before? I don't know, but I'm going to make one anyway. Because I've been working for the past month and have realized that I go for Coca Cola more than Pepsi. I'm wondering if other people have an actual preference if there's a choice. Maybe you wouldn't drink the other even if there was another choice. And if you have a preferecnce why? I don't really like Pepsi all that much. It leaves a funny after taste in my mouth. I'll drink it if there's nothing else around, but if I have a choice I just frink coke. Or Squirt. Man I love Squirt. I think I should add that choice as well.
  16.
God doesn't believe in you, so you're not real. ;)
Funny quote Sapphire Flare. I love it! Okay the infamous religion thread! Yahoo! *Ahem* I was Baptised Roman Catholic (Christian) when I was a month old. I went to religion class and Sunday school until second grade when I began to attend a Catholic school complete with nuns and religion class. I was in Catholic school until the middle of sixth grade then I went to public school. Seventh grade brought religion class again. I made my confirmation in ninth grade volunteered at the church's nursery and was in choir until 2002. Then I moved to Texas, went to church there about 3 times mayber four. Then in 2003 I found a book by Buchland that changed everything. I'm a semi practising Wiccan/Pagan right now. I haven't been very good at keeping up with most of the stuff except the whole harm none and minor spells. I do healing and protection I suck at binding people. I'm also making sure I don't harm anyone.... that's a bit tricky at times. I believe in Kharmic retribution and that in order to have good things happen to you you have to do good things in turn. I also don't believe in Satan. He's a Christian idea and not part of my religion. I got into an arguement about that with my mom and with a guy at work. I think that peopel aren't just soley evil. There is duality in everything. My whole family is very Catholic and some are better at being Christian than others. Some of them are also not happy about me and Lincoln not having Abby baptized right now. But even with the divorce we both agree that the religion she practises will be her own choosing. But we will take turns taking her to open rituals and allow my parents to take her to church if they want. I believe that eleven or so is the right time to choose a religion to follow. And as for the Satanism topic let me tell you what I know about this religion. It's more of an embracing of the flesh and a complete opposite of what Christianity is. You're allowed to do harm to people when you practice magick in Satanism without fear of retriution (you're also allowed to do that when you practice VooDoo, but I don't know anything else about that) There are three basic types of magick in Satanism-Lust, revenge and I forgot the third one. However true Satanists don't do things like sacrificing animals or vigins or anything else for that matter. Actually while we're on the subject, no one who is pagan or Wiccan does any sacrifies either. Okay I have to go now. I hope I cleared something up instead of confusing people more.
  17. I'm in the best classification ever! I'm me! Top that.

  19.
this is gunna sound crazy but... i think it'd be kinda awesome to stay a virgin forever... because in a cirtain type of hindu yoga... if you dont have sex it's a lot easier to stay heathy for freakishly long time... kinda like immortality...
Hmm, live foreever as a virgin, or have sexs and die. Which one am I going to choose? ONe thing's for sure, I'm not have any more unprotected sex. The fact that I'm now single again plays a large factor in this discision. Unprotected sex is only good when you're in a manogomus relationship, other than that condoms, birth control, both or just abstinence is your best bet. :D

  21.
Okay, time for a mini veterinary lesson everyone! The disease that pregnant women are afraid of is called Toxoplasmosis. Poor Pit Bulls get such a bad rep. .
I like the fact that there is a risk of Toxoplasmosis by cleaning out the litter box. It got me out of cleaning my cat's box for ten whole months :D! Okay now for the whole stray animal thread and why I kept Panda's line about pit bulls I have a cat and my brother has a dog. My cat was technically a stray she still acts like she is some times. A girl that worked with my ex-husband had found a litter of kittens and since our other cat had ran away he brought one of them home for me. They pre named her Domino. I call her Dumino. My brother's dog was a stray we got him from Lollypop Farm which is one of the local animal shelters. He's a pit mix, but he looks very pit in his face and paws. However he's very tall and scrawny instead of bulky (my aunt's dog is also a pit mix and she has the pit body but not the face.) He's hardly agressive-actually he gets his butt beat by my cat and my dad's ancient beagle. You can take food or toys away from him and he's very protective of my daughter. I don't understand why so many people think that pits are such agressive dogs, this one's a push over. It's all on how you raise them. When I was little we had two cats Abby (because my mom found him at Abotts and thought he was a she) and Pouncer. Pouncer was wondering our neighborhood and one of the kids asked my mom to take him in. Abby ran away when we were repairing our adition. Pouncer kept going outside and he got into a fight and was hurt very bad. We went to the vet to try and save Pouncer, but it would have cost too much, so my mom put him to sleep. Two of my grandparent's dogs have been strays. My papa found Lucky (a beagle) in the woods where he hunts and took her home. We called her Lazy because she just didn't move! My grandparent's house got robbed and she didn't move! She died after choking on a piece of rawhide. Go figure. The one they have now is named Moe. He's a German short hair pointer and he's a bit snippy at times. He also doesn't bark. Odd dog. That's all I have to say.
  22. I scrolled down and saw this trhead, so I figured I'd try to revie it. What's in my cd case? Whish cd case do you want? Ah well, I think I'll just place everything in lists. plastic sandwhich bag Ataris- Look foreward to failure (I think the cd is maybe twenty minutes long, but I like the song the guy wrote about Claire Danes) Ataris- End is Forever (Best song on there is the first track, I don't know the name though) U2- All that you can't leave behind Blink 182- Take off your Pants and Jacket Blink 182- I'm not sure what the name of it is, but it's their new cd (from 2003?) 23.
Do you even know what marriage is? It's a symbol of commitment!
Until the other person decides that there's something better and isn't willing to try and work things out.... Okay I'm done. I'm 24 and not a virgin I haven't been a virgin for a littler over four years. And I'm honestly not sure what to tell you all. Sex is nice and everything. But it involves a lot of not pretty things, and sometimes you have to keep your eyes closed or you'll pee yourself by laughing too hard at the other person's face. I waited until I was nineteen (almost twenty) because I just didn't have anyone that I could imagine doing that with and not vomiting excessively or wanting to scrub myself with steel wool after the act. It's not something you want to take very lightly when you're considering your first time. Because for the rest of your life you'll have to remember sleeping with that person and remembering that that was teh first person you slept with. Which is why I can say I can laugh at my ex husband because I know I wasn't the first person he slept with, he has to think of someone else as his first... and she's not pretty. As for the age of losing your virginity I know people who waited until their mid twenties, people who have only been with one persopnm their entire lives and my brother who claims to have lost it when he was fifteen.... I even know of a guy who is twenty-three, in the army and still a virgin. Granted he spends his free time on the computer instead of being around people in general, but there's nothing socially wrong with being a virgin. It's basicaly a rite of passage that some people do for he sake of doing it. But it should be taken a lot more seriously. And for the record it's not always the quiet ones who are virgins.
  24. I'm figuring that geting hurt relationshi[p wise twice in one year when it's only July is a big record for me... keh. Anyways, I haven't spoken to Dave since last Sunday. I finally called hi mon Friday and old him that if he grows some balls he can call me. But then again I'm a very weak person at times and I'm somewhat afraid of being alone. Yeah, I hate myself for that, but I wonder if I really care right now. So who knows what the hell will happen in a few days when I'm done dropping off my friend who lives down the road a bit. *shrug* My best friend says that I should just concern myself with my daughter and leave guys alone. She could be right since her ex boyfriend (and her daughter's father) ran off two months ago after she got fed up with his crap and he took their daughter to go buy drugs and stole her stuff adn used the rent money to buy drugs. So yeah my best friend also doesn't have warm feelings for someone who uses drugs even if he does manage to pay bills first.... Keh, I know where he lives and what he drives, and I have pleanty of balogna, maybe I should just introduce Wonderbar Balogna to his truck.... Nope that would be wrong. On the bright side though I have some new post ideas. PS, love what you've done to the place since Thursday.
  25. I have more put down lines! It's not you it's me. Oh who am I kidding? It is you!- Very funny I have just developed an accute allergy to idiots, I'm sorry. I can't think of any more, I need sleep!
